Somewhere in the Void, a Handful of People and Dragons appeared out of nowhere and they all find themselves in a place unknown to them. As they get their bearings, the Dragons curled themselves around their respective riders and scanned their surroundings.
"Where are we?" Ruffnut asked as Barf nuzzled around her,
"Wherever we are, I hope we aren't dead," Tuffnut said with Belch by his side,
"No, we are not," Hiccup said while Toothless shrieked once, "But we do know that we aren't in Berk anymore,"
"Nor are we inside our homes," Astrid added while caressing the side of Stormfly's head, "Whatever this place is, it's not a place we've been in,"
"And it's so dark around here," Snotlout said, while Hookfang breaths fire to provide some light in the distance,
After remnants of Hookfang's flame hit the ground, Toothless followed suit after Hiccup signaled him for a plasma blast. Everyone watched as Toothless' flame goes straight and explodes in the distance.
"Ok... Now I concerned on where we are," Fishleg remarked while Meatlug whimpered in response, "Are we dead?"
"No, you aren't," A Feminine Voice replied,
Fishleg sighs with relief, and rubbed his forehead once, "Well, that's a relief,"
A few seconds later, Fishleg and the others stiffen from the unfamiliarity of the voice and he was first to turn around. Before him was a young child with short blond hair, yellow eyes, a grey tunic, dark red trousers, and leather boots.
She may look human at first, but the Dragons beg to differ as they growled at her.
In response to this, the girl just giggles before putting her right hand behind her back and revealing a bunch of fish out of thin air. Which surprised both Dragons and their respective Riders.
"Whoa..." Tuffnut said in awe, "Can you do more of that!"
"Of course I can," The Girl replied and put her other hand behind her back,
Moments later, she reveals a particular mace on hand. Which made Tuffnut gasp in recognition, "Macey!"
"Don't, Tuffnut. Not yet," Astrid said as she stopped him, much to his chagrin,
"Who are you?" Hiccup sternly questioned,
"My name is Enny," The girl revealed as she set the mace on her shoulder, "And I was the one who took you all here,"
"You're the one who kidnapped us?" Snotlout specified,
"Yes," Enny replied without hesitation, "But rest assured, your absences will not affect the circumstances or events back in your world."
"Wait, Our World?" Astrid stated,
"Yes, Your World. Right now, you're in a place called 'The Void': One of the Darkness Places of the Known Universe," Enny revealed, "But this place is merely one of many voids that exist in the universe and I happen to live in this one,"
"The Known Universe," Fishleg said, "If it we put it on our terms, does that make you-"
"A God? No, I am merely an Entity that lives in this Void. If I were a god, then this place would have been the afterlife," Enny said, "But enough about me, I think it's time for the real question on everyone's mind. Why have you brought us here?"
This surprised the Riders, but mostly Hiccup, as they wanted to know why they were brought here. Even the Dragons were no exception to this.
Without further ado, Enny puts the mace and fishes behind her back, showed empty hands, and straightens herself, "Before that, we have other guests here..."
What comes next is two copies of herself appearing on each side, and revealing that she had brought more people than Dragon Riders. Hiccup and Co. recognized them all.
There was Heather with Windshear, Dagur, and Mala with Sleuther and Shattermaster, Eret with Skullcrusher, Valka with Cloudjumper, Gobber with Grump, and the last person to arrive was Stoick the Vast.
The moment Hiccup saw his father back, he didn't hesitate to rush towards him after he called out his name and embraced him. Stoick just smiled and patted his son's shoulders a few times, "You've certainly missed me, Haven't you?"
After Hiccup pulls away, he sniffed, wiped his tears, and gave a smile, "Yeah, I certainly have, Dad,"
Stoick just nods while Valka stood beside her.
Meanwhile, Astrid interacts with Heather.
"So, she has brought you here as well?" Astrid questioned,
"Indeed, I was confused and Dagur tried to lunge at her. He couldn't grab her since she said that she was an entity and all that," Heather explained,
"I could have beaten her if it wasn't more this power she holds!" Dagur admitted while Mala just shook her head in response to her husband's antics,
"Ahem!" Enny called out and everyone's eyes shifted toward her, "My apologies for disturbing the moment, but I think it's time we begin,"
"Begin with what exactly?" Gobber questioned,
Enny just smiled, then snapped her finger. Moments later, the Void slowly changes into lands unfamiliar to them and everyone was awestruck by the very surroundings shown by her.
"I welcome you all to the Old World," Enny revealed, "A Continent beyond the world you all know and well. But unlike the world you all live in, the lands here are filled with wildlife beyond anything you've seen in your world. You all may have Dragons, but here they have..."
On cue, everyone heard an unfamiliar call and Enny finishes the sentence, "Monsters,"
As everyone walked up the hill, they were in awe as a herd of monsters flocking around by the water. Enny would join them and provides a quick introduction to this herd, "They are known as Aptonoths, One of the many docile monsters to exist in this world. They are relatively easy to approach and can be quite timid. But when they're in packs, they are surprisingly strong,"
"This is..." Hiccup said,
"Beautiful," Valka finished,
"It is, and this is just one of many areas to exist in the Old World," Enny said, "In fact, Intend to show all of you monsters as well as biomes,"
Enny then pulled out two large books on hand and handed them to Fishleg and Hiccup, "Here, these books are empty and you can use them to document the monsters I've planned on showing,"
"Do we get to keep one? I so want one of these monsters!" Ruffnut said,
"Same, I want one!" Tuffnut said, then this leads to their usual arguments as they wrestled each other to the ground,
"I will never get tired on seeing those two fight," Enny remarked,
"That reminds me, do you know who we are?" Hiccup asked,
"Of course, I know who you all are. In fact, I happen to know more than your names," Enny revealed,
"More than our names? What else do you know?" Astrid questioned,
"Why, the future, of course. What came to pass in your world," Enny said, "I could tell you since I've already told the others. It's just you guys that I haven't told,"
Hiccup and Astrid just looked at each other, then the former shrugged his shoulders out of curiosity. With their agreement, Enny gestured them to come closer and whispered the events to them.
This causes the two to feel terribly embarrassed of one another and avoided eye contact as they learned the future of their lives. Enny giggles upon seeing their initial reaction, 'It's no wonder why I liked these two together
As for Hiccup's parents, they just laughed to themselves but a part of them were proud knowing that their son had chosen wisely. As for the rest, they've decided to go to the Aponoth Herd and examine them.
Most of the Dragons were confused since these Aponoths don't seem to know that they were near and some tried to lunge at the Aponoths. Only for them to phase through the bodies whenever they try to attack them.
As for the riders, they reached out and feel the bare skin of these monsters while the more rowdy bunch were taking their chances in riding them. This causes two of the Aponoths to feel threatened as they tried to shake the riders, particularly Dagur and Tuffnut.
They succeed and the two were sent flying from the Aponoths' backs. As the two rise up in an attempt to crush them, Dagur manages to roll away to safety while Tuffnut just lies on the ground.
As soon as the Aponoth crush Tuffnut, he didn't feel any pain even as he closed his eyes. When he opened them, he noticed that the Aponoth's leg phases through his body and looked rather confused while Ruffnut felt disappointed when her brother wasn't crushed by the Aponoth.
That's when Enny comes in with the rest of the group, "Just to let you all know, These monsters will remain docile towards your dragons and they'll phase through the monsters should they try to attack them. As for the rest of you, they will be docile until you provoke them but they won't kill you,"
"Really? That just sucks the fun out of it," Ruffnut remarked, while Tuffnut waves his hand across the Aponoth's leg and somehow feels it despite its hoof still phasing through his chest.
Enny just dragged Tuffnut out of Aponoth, then proceeds to smack the monster hard enough for it to swing its tail right into Tuffnut's chest. The spikes phase through him, but the same cannot be said for the tail as it sent Tuffnut flying into the ground.
Tuffnut groans as he picked himself up with his arm onto his chest while Enny finishes with, "Just because they can't kill you, doesn't mean they can't hurt you,"
"Now that's more like it," Ruffnut remarked with such enthusiasm,
"But enough about these monsters, it's time I show you all the Large Monsters of this Land," Enny said, made a ring with her finger, and whistled as loud as she can,
In a matter of minutes, they heard the roar of a monster and the riders gazed upon the skies as something was flying above the clouds. Though the roar causes the Aponoths to flee from the area and the riders scattered from the fleeing herd.
Once the field was clear, they were soon introduced by one of the Monsters of this Continent. A large wyvern with striking purple coloration, large spikes, and an extremely tough shell. It also has a beak that's sharp and jagged and a silver mane around the edge of its face.
The Wyvern then lowers its head to Enny and she caressed its head, "Thank you for coming,"
"Is that one of the monsters you wanted to show us?" Fishlegs asked,
"Yian Garuga, The Black Wolf Bird. I won't explain the details now, but I will get to that as we go by," Enny said, and rode its back, "Now get on your dragons, and follow me. We've got a lot of exploring to do,"
With that, the Riders rode to their respective dragons while Stoick shared with Eret since Skullcrusher is his dragon before his untimely demise. What comes next is Enny leading the group to the first large monster of the Old World: The Velocidrome.
Hey Guys! Crescent Rider here, and I hope you've liked the introduction of my newest story. And I'll say it again, it is heavily inspired by Katana of the Blade's Monstrous Education.
But unlike hers, I won't be using a Cinema. Instead, I will have the Audiences present in a replica world of the Old World and have them witness the monsters first hand than present them on a screen. They're Vikings and not Modern Folk.
As for what timeline they're from, it's somewhere between the Second and Third of How To Train Your Dragon Franchise. I've also included characters that were never seen again since I grew fond of them.
And lastly, for those who might ask. Yes, I will have them know that in the Old World, they kill monsters. But they will also know that this is done not out of spite or malice, but for the safety of their homes and the preservation of the natural ecosystem.
