Brucas AU. From the letters from a distant summer to a final dance at a wedding reception. This was not supposed to be my life. Yet here i was 18. Heartbroken. And left to figure it out alone.

"I have so much going on with me. Things you don't know about." I admitted. Feeling emotional and frustrated.

"What stuff?" He asked.

But I didn't answer. Instead we danced. Slowly.

Him in his tux. Me in this red dress. I finally got the answers i had wanted since he had been away.

And yet it didn't make me feel better. None of it could be changed.

The love triangle between the three of us. Had done nothing but harm. Me and Peyton's lifelong friendship over.

Me and Lucas were not what we once were.

"I'm letting you go Luke." I said. Staring into his eyes.

As i set myself free from his arms and left the reception.

He didn't go after me. And i didn't look back for him.

Our relationship was over.

And after i got home. I removed that dress. Sticking it in the back of my closet. Took down pictures of me and Peyton. And me and Lucas.

I stood in my robe. Alone in my bedroom bathroom.

A second positive pregnancy test staring back at me.

The boy i loved. Was in love with my ex best friend.

And all i had left was a baby.
