Tangled up (in a big mess)
Rating: K+
Summary: "You've never watched Tangled?" He said in disbelief. "No?" He crossed his arms, "We are so going to have to fix that."
A/N: This is set a couple months after Blood of Olympus. Will and Nico aren't dating yet.
Will hadn't really been subtle in his crush on me. I made the mistake of saying something in front of Jason, and now he was being insufferable. So I was walking around camp trying to avoid Jason. This was the reason I had bumped into Will in the first place and started this whole mess.
Will attempted small talk, by asking what my favorite movie was. I said that I didn't really have one which was true. Will said his was either something from Star wars or something Marvel but couldn't pick a specific movie. He then started talking about the movie his siblings were all obsessed in at the moment. And I started this whole thing by telling him that I hadn't heard of it.
"You've never watched Tangled?" Will said surprised.
"No." I answered.
Will sighed, "We are so going to have to fix that."
Before my brain could even process what I was doing I found myself saying, "Sounds like a plan then."
Will's eyes widened a fraction.
I was saved by a young camper, who came over to Will holding her hand to her chest, with tears starting to well in her eyes. I quickly excused myself, and left.
I paced the length of my cabin, messing with my skull ring. I had only just now processed the fact that I'd asked Will out on a date. So now I was actually going to have to go through with it unless I wanted to make this situation worse.
I actually had maybe a little bit of fun sneaking into the big house and looking up the times for the movie. It only lasted a few moments, until I remembered all of the other things I had to plan. A noise from down stairs jolted me back into action. I scrolled through the times and noted how much the tickets costed. I quickly scribbled down the address of the theater and what days Tangled was showing and the days that were cheaper before I quickly left.
The skeletal butterflies had returned to his stomach, today I was planning on asking Will which day he wanted to go to the movies. I was nervous. Stop it. I scolded myself.
Will was making the infirmary beds; after he finished making the last one, he noticed me.
I found myself fidgeting with my skull ring. Will watched me for a second.
"I'm don't mind, if you don't want to go." Will said.
The butterflies stirred in my stomach, "Actually I wanted to know which day worked best for you, Tuesday or Wednesday?" I said before I could lose my nerve.
Will looked surprised, his eyes flicking over to a calendar on the wall, that I hadn't noticed before. "Uh, I think I'll be free Tuesday."
"The movie starts at ten." Nico said, still fidgeting with my ring.
"Okay. See you then."
"See you then." I echoed.
A/N: Happy Birthday Nico!
