Memories Of Her-Ch 25
A few hours later after everything was taken care of Derek, Penelope and Hotch were sitting in front of her computer screen when the call from Judge Thomas Cade came through, Thomas said, "thank you Agent Morgan and Analyst Garcia Morgan for joining us today".
Derek and Penelope said, "you're welcome, thank you" in unison, the judge said, "the reason that we're all talking today via video chat is that the agents can't travel for several more weeks, Derek due to an injury to his liver and Penelope from just giving birth to their first child".
Derek and Penelope looked at Savannah and Sam with their attorneys for a few seconds before turning their attention back to the judge who said, "alright, first I am going to get Derek's side of what happened and then Penelope's and if the defense has any questions they can ask them and then Agent Hotchner if you have any questions you can feel free to ask them".
A little while later after Derek was finished telling everything that he could remember Hotch asked him what helped him get through everything and he pointed at Penelope and said, "my memories of her kept me going and even though toward the end the drugs she kept giving me was taking away the names of my family, their faces were always with me and that is what kept me going".
The defense objected and Thomas said, "on what grounds?", to which Savannah's attorney said, "if he was supposedly drugged, how did he remember his wife and family?", Derek said, "I'm not really sure about that but the one thing I can tell you is that the love I have for this woman kept me from giving up".
Thomas said, "is there any more questions for Agent Morgan?", Sam;s attorney shook his head and said, "we have no questions your honor", Thomas then looked at Penelope and said, "alright Mrs. Morgan, I need for you to tell me what happened from the time Derek went missing till now".
A few minutes later when Penelope was finished the judge sat looking at her, he said, "bless your heart Penelope", Thomas then asked if there was any questions for Penelope to which Sam's attorney said, "yes sir, I have some questions for Analyst Garcia Morgan", to which the judge said, "go ahead and ask your questions".
Sam's attorney said, "Mrs. Morgan, my name is Chalice Stone and I am representing Sam" as he pointed to the man sitting beside him, Penelope said, "yes sir", Chalice then said, "I have a few questions for you, they won't take long", she said, "okay sir".
Chalice said, "after your husband disappeared, he was declared deceased, was he not?", she said, "yes but I never gave up hope, never gave up on my husband", Chalice said, "that's quite admirable Penelope but didn't you ever think about moving on with my client?", Penelope looked at Sam and his attorney and said, "NEVER".
Thomas said, "okay, okay that's enough questions, it's obvious that she doesn't love your client, that she's in love with her husband", Chalice said, "but your honor", he said, "I said enough", to which Chalice nodded his head and said, "yes sir".
Hotch, Derek and Penelope then listened as Thomas thanked them for their time, he then said that he hoped that they got to feeling better and were able to go home soon and then he ended the video chat.
Derek and Penelope blew out deep breaths and Derek said, "Penelope I've given it a lot of thought and if you're willing I say that if neither of their families will take the baby, then I think that we should take him or her", she smiled and said, "thank you hotstuff", she then kissed his cheek and said, "I love you".
Hank started crying and Penelope said, "ohhhh I'm coming sweetie", she left the room and Hotch said, "you've got quite an amazing wife there", he said, "tell me about it", the two men laughed and then followed her out of the room.
