"So, first things first, I want to apologize for existing." Kira apologized.
"I knew about your backstory you know. Well, all I knew about it was that you worked for Sumeragi. And were experimented on at S-FIT, your death too. But, that was it, I didn't know anything else. That must be a lot to have on your shoulders." Gunvolt commented.
"Positions, not mentioned." Moebius notified.
Kira turned to her side and saw Moebius staring at her, floating in the air to her left.
"Ah! Sheet! Please don't do that! I thought you were Black Badge or something! And I'm not trying to make a little inside joke. Like you do with Prado every time I fold my arms and you pull up her picture. It's cute and funny though, just not right now. I have a knife!" Kira hollered as her eyes turned red.
"You can't control when you transform huh?" Gunvolt noticed.
"I never did while I was fully awake. I only transformed once that I saw in my apartment while I was under the influence of that anesthesia. Ugh, this is too much. Uh, so, do you know how many positions I have within Sumeragi exactly?" Kira hoped.
"I think Asimov gave me a list in case you talked about one with me so I could keep up. I have it in my desk, I'll be right back." Gunvolt answered as he left for the master bedroom.
Meanwhile, Kira, with knife in hand, remembered that Asroc stayed somewhere nearby. However, if her position as Sumeragi's sole foreign dignitaries division employee was true, then she shouldn't kill him. However, there was no harm in threatning him to behave and cooperate...
"Kira! What do you think you're doing!?" Lumen shouted into the kitchen through the doorway.
Kira whipped around with the knife in her left hand, ball of Golden Trillions energy in the other with her palm facing down. The knife blade was angled forward diagonally. Gunvolt ran into the kitchen as soon as he heard Lumen yell.
"I was just going to kill Asroc! What's so wrong with that idea!? Oh. But GV did it too!" Kira complained.
"Huh? Are you talking about Copen killing Asroc? He said the EX Weapon Asroc was weakest to was the Hailstorm Blade. If that was transferred to Septimal abilities, you'd stand a better chance against him by using Permafrost." Gunvolt recommended.
"Will do, thanks, bye!" Kira cheered as she tried to walk out the kitchen.
Only to have Gunvolt grab the kitchen knife out of Kira's hands and for the girl to be picked up and held by Lumen like a stack of books.
"I can never just have things go my way for once can I?" Kira groaned.
"Why are you obsessed with this whole killing thing?" Lumen interrogated.
"I don't like killing, I like the feeling of winning. It's why I love vending machines and those ones that give you stuffed animals." Kira smiled.
"Life is a big gamble, I'm surprised you don't get a high from that." Lumen joked.
"Well, Kira's dead, so, I don't think she'd find it too fun." Gunvolt reminded.
"Death, acceptable." Moebius agreed.
"So it's not just me? That's nice to know." Kira supposed.
"What did he say?" Gunvolt wondered.
"We both wanted to end it all, our existences. But, if we weren't here, then someone would have to suffer in our place. It's just the way the world works. If someone doesn't get the job done, someone will be found to replace them. So, Moebius and I stay. We didn't want the abilities we have, and we didn't want to exist either. We still don't. If we stop though, someone else will be found to do my job." Kira confessed.
"Speaking of jobs, here's that list I told you about." Gunvolt added as he placed the list on the counter.
The list read as follows:

After seeing that, Kira swore the list of jobs belonged to somebody else.
"A-about last one, please tell me you're joking." Kira pleaded.
"Anesthesia, nightmare." Moebius reminded.
Kira's pupils practically grew as big as her thumb. And her eyes turned red.
"Are you okay Kira? You seem pretty scared about something." Gunvolt worried.
"Can you give me a second? I need to talk with Moebius in private." Kira answered as she ran off with Moebius in her arms to her room.
She put him down on her bed in front her pillows as she sat in front of him near the edge of the bed.
"So, was that nightmare true?" Kira worried.
Moebius nodded.
"Great, well that's my sanity out the window, yet again." Kira moaned.
Kira got up and grabbed Moebius, holding him the same way as before. After entering the kitchen, Kira found Gunvolt and Asimov talking in the living room. Lumen saw Kira who told the ex-Muse to be quiet so Kira wouldn't be noticed.
"How does the anestheisa work exactly?" Gunvolt pondered.
"It makes Kira feel like she's dreaming. It also causes her to be a little more laid back and obedient. As a matter of fact, there was a time I certainly thought she'd try to escape. She had to go with Nova to Building one in the limo at one point so she wouldn't run away. She's tried to run every time the anesthesia wore off. Kira hasn't been successful that many times, only a handful at most." Asimov explained.
"Well it's nice to know I wasn't going crazy that night." Kira retorted as she used the can opener on some already made brown gravy.
"Has she ever seen him?" Gunvolt queried.
"She's fought Nova four times already, and that's just physically. I don't know the amount of verbal battles specifically." Asimov answered.
"No, I meant Apollo." Gunvolt corrected.
"Oh, that's complicated. I can't count how many times that's happened. It's most likely in the double digits right now. She's never won a fight against him though." Asimov replied.
"He meant just plain encountering Apollo. His question had nothing to do with Nova at all." Lumen notified.
"In that case, she did come rushing back at one point to talk about an accident she made. Apparently, she teleported herself to the sanatorium while looking for her file in the basement. She thought she was alone until he grabbed her left wrist. It was a bad idea to be standing on that ladder looking at the third shelf huh?" Asimov remembered.
"It was perfectly fine, my Gravity Well balanced me out well enough." Kira assured.
"But, just as a warning, don't grab her left wrist. Grab above it if you have to pull her out of danger. Otherwise, you'll be the one in danger, even worse than Kirin could ever get herself into." Asimov cautioned.
"She seemed eager to kill Asroc a second ago." Gunvolt added.
"Were you trying to defend Lumen?" Asimov realized.
Kira nodded.
"Gunvolt can keep an eye on her twenty four seven now, you can help if you want though just as a safeguard." Asimov informed.
Lumen picked up Kira from the front and turned Kira around so Kira knew who was picking her up.
"You wanted to protect me? I'm so honored." Lumen giggled.
"You're not taking me seriously again." Kira growled angrily.
"Kira can really do some damage. She has a bit of a problem when it comes to protecting others though, and herself." Asimov commented.
"What's that?" Gunvolt asked.
"When Kira feels she can't protect herself, she tries to protect others. So, if she can't help herself, she can help someone else. Her main goal is to make sure nobody suffers the same fate she did. Being able to protect somebody else gets Kirin's mind off her own worries." Asimov explained.
Gunvolt looked at Kira and felt worse.
"So, all she wants to do is help but gets hurt?" Gunvolt worried.
"Kira did eventually get ahold of her file, but it did take a while. She had to put in a request with the higher ups and they had Merak give Kira the file to look at. They were more than happy to let her look at it oddly enough. They probably just wanted someone to put it back since Kira has so much work to do over there. I actually printed it out so Kira could look at it." Asimov elaborated before giving Kira some papers.
It was in a single azure blue folder with Sumeragi's logo in black on the front. Once opened, Kira saw a long list of information in front of her.

History: Kirin was born on S-FIT's 5th floor on December 13th, 2005. Upon reaching seven years of age, she developed both the Muse and Spiral Septimas. During this same year, the Resurrection Septimosome was implanted. She took well to the Septima but died during the process, being revived fully by the Septima.
Kirin now uses her Septimas to replace her body's natural functions. She has survived being implanted with every single Septimosome sample in existence. All of them function as they should, but only during the night. During the day, the Septimas have a different but similar effect when Kirin isn't under anesthesia.
The specific anesthesia used is Primal Dragon Anesthesia. And, as its name suggests, is to only be used on Primal Dragons. It has shown adverse effects when used on human and Adept test subjects. While the trials took place using this anesthesia, it resulted in internal injuries and death.
On occasion, she awakens before, during or after the experimentation has taken place. When this occurs, the anesthesia kicks in within 5-20 minutes after she awakens. With the rare exception that she teleports away until the effects wear off entirely. While under the anesthesia's influence, Kirin goes on rampages within the facility she is housed in at the time.
All encounters Kirin has with Elise result in the former displaying a calm and joyful demeanor. Her sheer power alone is staggering, with recorded footage displaying her kill of thirteen Sumeragi gunners with a single Psycalibur sword. She can mix her Septimas at will, such as Azure Striker with Psychokinesis or Golden Trillions with Azure Striker. She has been known to get into arguments and physical disputes with other employees because of the anesthesia.
Therefore, any disputes she gets into with other Sumeragi employees are chalked up by the higher ups as a side effect of the anesthetic. That doesn't change the fact that she's a monster. I have to keep my gun on me solely because of the havoc she wreaks. Anytime I shoot her though, it's while she's asleep.
Somehow, she still functions while she's asleep, as if she has a second mind. Her eyes are closed and her breathing's slowed, but nobody bothers to point it out or notice. In the near future, Adepts will destroy humanity. That's what I wrote in Takefutsu's file.
But, now I'm concerned it will be Primal Dragons who make that statement ring true. Nobody else within Sumeragi knows what I know of her true intentions. She works for QUILL, the very terrorist corporation that decides to test this company's strength. She works for them by retrieving information for them and killing targets, allowing their members easier access into our facilities.
Nova is aware of this as well from what I've heard. Unfortunately, the whole of Sumeragi is against us in this matter. Nova has become entirely fearful of Kirin. Whether from the fact she's taken his ranking and positions or from her Septimal capabilities is to be determined.
She is able to mix attacks from the same Septima as well. None of the other scientists have been assigned to work on Kirin. Seemingly, she's been dubbed "too dangerous" for anyone else to experiment on her. She's allowed to show up to work whenever she pleases, as long as she gets at least four hours of work in.
How she is permitted to do this with no complaints is beyond explainable. As is how her brain executes functions.
"This all feels right. Hey, Moebius, is this when you told me I'd know the file by memory when I read it?" Kira remembered.
Moebius nodded.
"That's the file then, the real thing." Kira confirmed.
Kira turned to look at Asimov.
"Does Apollo know, about you still being alive and running QUILL's operations?" Kira assumed.
Moebius shook his head.
"Thank goodness for the ability to change your name." Kira commented.
"Apollo isn't real though, none of the Dragon Saviors members are. Well, except Kirin here, but that department of Sumeragi doesn't exist either." Gunvolt stated.
"Apollo's design is full of references to Project Gunvolt. His glasses are meant to look like my visor, his eye color is the same. The prominent spike in Apollo's hair is meant to look like yours. It's meant to secretly indicate the character's involvement in Project Gunvolt. Without anybody knowing who it truly is of course. Kira however certainly wasn't falling for it. Especially with an intelligence quotient that's higher than Merak's." Asimov informed as Lumen let Kira down.
"Can someone fill me in on why if Apollo doesn't exist, his name gets brought up like he does?' Gunvolt hoped.
"Apollo's name is used to refer to Dr. Kamizono when we're around somebody else. You, me and Kira are the only ones who know about him. Moniqa, Xiao and Zeno don't. Copen doesn't even know he's still alive. It's best it stays that way. Copen already wants to kill Kirin without knowing that." Asimov elucidated.
"Let me guess, too many Septimas?" Kira mocked.
"I can't believe we both knew her, but from different situations." Lumen joked.
"You shouldn't have hypnotized Merak or Jota, that was a bad idea." Asimov retorted.
"Huh, come again? What was that?" Kira inqueried.
Lumen's cheeks turned pink.
"Why are you blushing?" Gunvolt queried.
"She liiikes you." Kira teased while pointing at Lumen who was covering her face with her hands.
"Replace she with they and remove the S from the second word and you have your answer." Asimov confirmed.
"Not today, I don't have time for pranks." Kira rebuked.
"Muse, brainwash." Moebius reminded.
"Correct me if I'm wrong. But, I brainwashed them? Like how Lumen did to Viper with her song Sakura Efflorescence?" Kira wondered.
"Exactly." Asimov answered.
"Uh, how long does my contract with QUILL last for exactly? Because depending on, you may be seeing me more often." Kira squeaked.
"You're not being dropped that easy if that's what you're hoping for." Asimov warned.
"I'm only seventeen, this is way too much for my brain." Kira groaned.
Suddenly, Kira got the feeling of ghost arms. As quickly as the sensation started, it left just as fast.
"Hey, uh, does anybody else here feel like they get an extra set or two of limbs from time to time?" Kira questioned.
"I was afraid I'd have to explain this sooner or later." Asimov muttered.
"Explain what Asimov?" Gunvolt asked.
"If you can't handle anymore crazy for today, I suggest you leave the room. If you think you can handle it, I suggest you sit down." Asimov suggested.
Lumen grabbed Kira and placed the younger girl on her lap.
'Guess I'll have to get used to this.' Kira thought.
"GV, you remember when you fought Nova? And he had six arms?" Asimov reminded.
"Yeah, it's still fresh in my mind." Gunvolt guaranteed.
"It wasn't Lumen that was fused with him, it was Kirin. She was stuck working at Firmament that time. Nova was tasked with keeping an eye on her while she worked at Firmament as a Muse. My plans didn't involve her getting dragged into the fight.
She was supposed to stay on the sidelines and take Nova down while he was focused on you. But, it seems she was really dedicated to keeping her cover or passed out from fear. He fused with her in the hopes of increasing his power. I called Kira after and she said she was taking a nap in the Stratacombs with Elise before she dozed off again." Asimov notified.
