Chapter 7: Moving In.
"Just get out of here!" the voice of Sasuke shouted.
"I can't! Not without you!" the voice coming from another teen shouted.
"Do you know what he's after?! If he gets his hands on it, we're all doomed! Run away as fast as you can!"
"Are you crazy?! You won't make it out of this on your own!"
"Forget about me, it's you that he wants! Just leave me be!"
"Screw it! I'm not losing you like I almost did back then!"
"JUST GO OR ELSE YOU WON'T MAKE IT BACK TO THE VILLAGE ALIVE!"
Sounds of multiple stabbings and blood splattering are heard from the darkness...
Sasuke shot up with his eyes wide open, gasping in horror as he quickly looked left and right while breathing heavily until he slowed it down. He sighed in relief as it was only just a bad dream and wiped the sweat off his forehead. Placing his head onto the palms of his hands and started to have a think for a second until he grits his teeth and then stamped the wall in anger and regret.
"If only..." he thought. "If only I had-."
While he began to calm down so that he won't put on too much stress on himself as it'll make things even worse. The sound of the door opening grabbed his attention. He thought it was going to be that annoying 'charcoal-headed dumbass' but it turns out to be none other than Lucy, coming in the infirmary room and closing the door behind her. She walked up to the bed that Sasuke was in a sitting position, took a seat on it and turned herself a bit to face him.
"Hi. How are you doing?" the Celestial Wizard asked.
"What does it look like? I'm just having a think of something that only I can think of." the raven haired teen replied.
He then scans Lucy whose hair is now down, wearing a striped light, medium and dark pink crop top, denim shorts with a small white hip pouch with a blue strap wrapped around her waist and a pair of white sandals with red straps.
"Say you look different, did you do something to your hair?" Sasuke asked.
"Well I was just thinking that I should try something else you see and let my hair fall too." Lucy said.
"I see."
"Oh and I meant your injuries, how are they doing?"
"It's not really that bad if I don't move too much but the pills that the old lady gave to me have a very strange and a cringe taste as if it would put people off of it straight away."
"Porlyusica."
"Whatever you pronounce her name."
"So what's wrong with those pills you took?"
"It tastes like cotton candy mixed with sour taffy and cola in them."
"*Giggles* I see that you're not a sweet nor a sour person."
"Nope, well I don't really mind sour and all. I also happen to not like natto as well."
"You mean that slimy fermented soy beans? I don't like them either."
"Really? *Smirks* Here I was beginning to think that I was the only one and yeah, they sure are disgusting as hell."
"Well said as I don't even know how people can eat that stuff."
"Same here, thinking about them makes me wanna throw up."
"Indeed it does."
"Hmm... By the way, how's pinky doing out there?"
"Pinky? Oh you mean Natsu?"
"Yes. That's the one, is he still mad at me?"
"Well, he went out for an errand with Happy just to get you out of his mind as you still drive him crazy."
"Oh please. He's the one who's real crazy and dumb for challenging me into a fight once I'm all healed up. Besides, I'm not even that interested in him nor his ridiculous attitude."
"That Natsu for you. One time, when me and most of my guildmates were at this island for a promotion trial but it was cut short after we had to deal with serious problems that are completely solved. He then later continued the challenge with Master and the strongest wizard of them all to a duel but ended up getting sucker punched on the ground and to a tree. But that's not all, he'd challenged Laxus into a duel and guess what happened?"
"He got the same coming to him again?"
"Yes."
"Seems like a total loser to me."
"And the other time while Erza was having her peace and quiet cake time. He challenged her for yet another real showdown in which he'd like to call but she ended up busting his crotch so badly that he wasn't able to walk for a long time, he ask Wendy to heal it but I scolded at him for being seriously inappropriate and Lucy Kicked him in the same place where Erza damaged and took her away."
Then all of the sudden, Lucy was never expecting something that she thought would never even happen. She turned her attention to Sasuke who had his hand in a fist, placing it near his smiling lips as he was chuckling that surprised the Celestial Wizard. She blushed lightly and honestly thought it made him sound very... sexy. She then shook her head quickly, wondering why she thought of that, this made Sasuke stop what he was doing and cocks his eyebrow at her. Then the door opened where the two saw Mirajane coming in with a first aid kit.
"Sorry, was I interrupting? Oh and Mr. Uchiha, it's time to change your bandages." the Satan Soul User smiled at Sasuke who responded with a glare.
"No not at all, I was just having a talk with Sasuke here to see if he's getting better." Lucy said as she got onto her feet.
"Ooh. I didn't realize you two became an item all of the sudden."
"*Blushes madly* It's not like that! I was just... c-c-checking up on him that's all!"
"Really? Since saving him almost a week ago. You couldn't even stop thinking about him like some other girls here do."
"Mira!"
"An item?" Sasuke said. "I'm not that much into being all lovey-dovey at this rate as I'm still new here. Besides, there's no girl around this whole planet that is my type."
"So what is your type of girl that gets your attention?" Lucy asked.
"Don't know, don't care. Besides, I'm more focused on other important things than having a romantic relationship with somebody."
"Well, anyways. I have to head back to my teammates as I don't want Natsu to come back and get real mad at me for talking to you as he still thinks you're a crook."
"When you're at it, tell him that he needs to learn how to control his temper or he'll get sucker punched by those three like they did to him in the past."
"Will do."
With that, Lucy left the medical room so that Mirajane could start changing Sasuke old bandages for the newer ones. Once closing the door behind her and just as she was about to walk to her team's table. She was then stopped by Cana who has a jealous expression on her face. She wasn't the only one as Evergreen, Laki, Kinana, Lisanna and Levy were all surrounding the Celestial Wizard with the same expressions as the Card Wizard.
"Umm... Can I help you ladies?" Lucy asked in an uncomfortable way.
"Don't 'Can help us'. We know what you were up to." Cana said.
"What do you mean?"
"Be real Lucy. We saw you going into that room." Evergreen said.
"*Shrugs* Is there anything wrong with that?" Lucy asked curiously.
"Of course there is. We all could see to it that you went to see Sasuke just so that you can have him all to yourself." Kinana replied.
"I was only checking up on him to see if he's getting better since it's almost been a week after he was saved from drowning and bleeding to death."
"Oh now we see." Cana said with a sly smirk.
"What do you all see?" the Celestial Wizard cocked her eyebrow.
Cana then approached her by leaning near to her ear and covered the left side of her face with the palm of her hand.
"Did he manage to feel you up like Natsu did back then?" the Card Wizard whispered.
"Are you crazy?! We've only known him for almost a week and plus, he has no temptations of doing that kind of ridiculousness!" Lucy yelled with her face turning crimson red. "And didn't I tell you that Natsu was trying to cover them up rather than toying with... Oh for crying out loud why do I have to explain to you everything about what happened way back?!"
"Are you sure that he didn't make his move on you?"
"Well... he... he did told me that I look diff- hey! Why do you even want to know what he was doing?!"
"Because I would want him to make his move on me as I want to know how his hands and fingers would really feel like going all over my body."
"I wouldn't do that if I were you. You saw how he reacted when all of you girls were eyeing him."
"He's probably shy, I'll give him that. In fact, I really want to know how good he is when it comes to a love hotel."
"Or a restaurant." Laki said.
"Or a spa." Levy said.
"Don't you have Gajeel?" Lucy asked curiously.
"*Blushes* What?! Oh you must be hearing and seeing things. Besides, he's nowhere near devilishly handsome as Sasuke is. Not yet."
"Oh boy."
"I've been thinking about the beach, lately." Lisanna said.
"Or the park." Evergreen said.
"Or ballroom dancing." Kinana said causing the girls to sigh lovingly.
"You girls... are out of your minds." Lucy said with an annoyed tone.
With that, she walked away from her female guildmates who were daydreaming, talking and giggling to each other about Sasuke. But that's not all, every single day some of the male members of the guild mostly Macao, Wakaba, Jet and Droy kept on asking him about how to get all the women around the world falling head over heels for them so fast like he did. This however drives him incredibly insane that he had to carry on telling them to go figure it out themselves or to quit getting on his nerves as he doesn't have a tiny bit of interest about being popular nor entering a relationship with any kind. She took a seat where her team was sitting and sighed with an annoyance.
"They still couldn't get enough of him huh?" Gray said.
"Nope. They've kept going at this again and again for almost a week now since we've saved his life." Lucy said.
"Tell me about it. I kept on getting these snickerdoodles from the girls of Galuna Island every once a week but I decided to hand them over to Droy as he loves them so much. But they do send me other stuff."
Unbeknownst to them at the counter, Juvia's ear began to twitch and was clenching her fist with rage mixed with jealousy. This was then noticed by Max who was looking at her with confusion.
"No wonder why popularity can sometimes be so annoying." Lucy said.
"It sure is. But it's something that we need to learn on how to get used to as that's part of life." Gray said.
"You are absolutely right."
"Oh and how are his injuries holding up?"
"Not too bad but he still has 3 or 4 weeks to go and he'll be moving around in no time."
"Why doesn't he have Wendy to heal him straight away?"
"He said no and also she doesn't have enough energy to heal him completely as they're way too deep."
"That's true, if only we had contacted Chelia to come over and help." Wendy looked down at the table, sadly.
"Don't worry dear, you did a brilliant job out there." Carla said.
"No need to thank me, Asuka was the one that spotted him. The credit should go to her."
"You're correct about her indeed but you, Mirajane and Lucy here did the rest of it so keep your head up and be proud of yourself."
"Thanks Carla, I will."
"Come to think of it Lucy, you said that he was fighting some 'weird-ass-monster' that led to where he's in now. Is that correct?" Erza asked curiously.
"Yeah. But he couldn't have a clear thought on what it looks like as his head is still hurting him too much." Lucy said. "Why?"
"Because Porlyusica also told us that the other young man she was treating got also attacked by a monster who killed his friend. Could it possibly be the same one that almost killed Sasuke or was it some other monster?"
"I have no clue. We'll just have to keep on waiting for him to recover everything from that event he went through."
"Very true. But I still don't understand how on earth he would battle something that is too powerful without having one tiny bit of magic in him?"
"That's where I'm getting. Anyways, let's move on to the next thing as I don't want all of us to go deeper into that talk."
"Okay then. I guess it's time for me to go and deliver a package to Mermaid Heel that I've received by accident."
"While you're at it, don't even think about challenging Kagura and Millianna into yet another cookie pie eating contest."
"Ooh I know! Maybe I should challenge Sasuke into a cookie pie eating contest instead?"
"He told me that he isn't a sweet person."
"Then I'll get him the unsweetened ones!"
"*Sighs* Erza, when will you ever change?"
Later in the evening...
While some remaining members stayed behind to clean the guild. Inside the infirmary room, Sasuke was lying on the bed with his right hand behind his head and kept on looking at his left arm, exercising his hand. He's still having troubles with picturing the perpetrator but that's not all, he's also worried that it might come back to get him one day and destroy this guild by unleashing its powerful attack on the entire members including the little ones.
"Damn it!" he thought while running his fingers through his hair. "The more I think about it, the more it hurts."
Just then, he turned his attention to the opening door, revealing to be Lucy again who then walked up to him as he slowly began to sit up but this time, on the edge of the bed with his feet touching the ground while Lucy helped him by putting her hand on his lower back and the other on his exposed chest. Once that was done, she then sat on his right and gave him a small smile.
"Thanks. I really appreciate that." Sasuke said.
"Don't mention it." Lucy said. "Just helping out a guest like we usually do."
"Yeah you got that right. Geez, my head's still hurting me and I don't know when it will go away."
"Like I said before, just don't push it too much. I suggested that you should take some painkillers to ease it off."
"I already did that and guess what? It still has no effect on me whatsoever along with that special medicine."
"That was only for the fever."
"*Eye-rolls* Great."
"I was just thinking of something, since I can't stay here forever but it doesn't mean I have to leave you here all by yourself."
"Of course you can't as I can't do things myself right now."
"But before you get better... Ummm... How about..."
"How about what?"
"If you would... Well... this sounds a little... too complicated... to explain..."
"You know, you don't have to be nervous to ask anything as long as it's not something offensive."
"Oh no, no, no. Not like that just... W-w-would you like t-t-to..."
"I don't have all night."
"L-l-like... to live with me?"
Lucy closed her eyes tightly, face turning even more red like a tomato and gripping the edge of the bed to hear his response. Worrying that he might think she's crazy to let someone like him stay at her place for a while as she'd only known him for almost a week now. Well, she did had a couple of people broke into her apartment mostly Natsu and Happy who sometimes make a mess, use her bathroom, eat all her food, walk into her while she was changing and sometimes play with her clothes but Sasuke on the other hand is way too different compare to the male members of the guild who are always reckless and brawling every single day as according to Mirajane is normal for them to do stuffs like that. He's calm, collected and probably a lone wolf type of guy in which she thought combining those three matches him so perfectly but it would be great for him to socialise by starting with one person or two.
"Sorry! I didn't mean to ask that all of the sudden! It's just that-" Lucy panicked but then was cut off.
"Alright, if you insist." Sasuke responded.
"That's okay, I accept you wo- wait? You do?"
"Yes. But I'll only live with you as I have no home for myself."
"Uh huh."
"To get away from that charcoal-headed dumbass and his loud mouth."
"*Giggles* Uh huh."
"And not to keep seeing those girls fighting on about 'whoever brings the food tray to Sasuke first gets to spend some quality time with him' every single day. It's really getting on my nerves along with those guys who want to get all women to like them fast."
"Okay that's the deal. But first, you need a new set of clothes because you're not leaving this guild while wearing that."
"Where can I get some outside clothes then? I bet the stores are now closed right now."
"I know a perfect stash. Just wait here for a minute."
Lucy then got up and left the infirmary room to search for some clothes. Sasuke watched her and then went back to his deep thoughts. A few minutes later, Lucy returns with a black sweater, white t-shirt, grey sweatpants and one black sandal. She handed him the clothes and closed the curtain, she turned around to avoid seeing his silhouette while he was changing. Once Sasuke put on the new clothes, he folded the old ones, placed them on the bed and opened the curtains. Lucy then turned around and smiled at him.
"How do I look?" Sasuke asked.
"You look great, kinda reminds me of the day I took in a hoodlum around your age." Lucy giggled causing the Uchiha to give her a frown. "I'm just kidding."
"Are you sure these are okay for me to wear outside? They look as if someone hasn't worn them for a long time."
"Don't worry, my spirit uses this special fragrance to make it smell as if it was fresh from the dryer."
"I see."
"Now then shall we?"
"Ladies first."
Lucy giggled at that as she stood up and grabbed the crutches that were leaning against the wall. She handed them over to Sasuke who's still have troubles with standing up as he was gripping the crutches with caution, Lucy helped him out by holding onto them in order to make sure that he doesn't fall down and then left the infirmary room with the Celestial Wizard holding the door for the teen as they stumble upon a guild hall where she sees that only Mirajane is the only one here and just as she was about to give the guild key to Lucy, she notices Sasuke was by her side, using crutches to support his balance and weight.
"Oh hi Mira!" Lucy said. "I'm taking Sasuke to stay at my place for a while if that's okay with Master."
"No worries, I'll let him know tomorrow. Have a good evening to you both." the Satan Soul User said.
"You too."
"Bye."
As Sasuke and Lucy both exited the guild, Mirajane watched the two and couldn't help but smile at them, thinking that they'll make a very sweet couple but she already knows that Sasuke is not some type of young man who thinks highly about getting into a romantic relationship with someone. Still, she'd hope that he'll have a great time living with her until he gets better and makes enough money so that he can find a place for himself.
"Looks like this might get a little interesting." she thought as she placed a finger on her jawline.
Out on the streets of Magnolia...
Sasuke and Lucy walked beside each other with her left hand wrapped around his right arm in order to support him even more. Sasuke was in awe of the town as he continued to look left and right each time they passed each and every building.
"So this is where you and your friends live?" he asked while still looking around.
"Yes. Pretty nice isn't it?" Lucy asked.
"You could say that or at least... enchanting."
"*Giggles* Just wait until you see the rest. Oh and you are so gonna be in love with the capital, it's got everything that you might like."
"And what capital is that?"
"Crocus."
"I think I will remember that name. Is it a very big capital?"
"Amazingly big. It is also known to host the 5-Day annual tournament called the Grand Magic Games."
"The Grand Magic Games, what is that about?"
"It's about where participants fight to determine the strongest guild in all of Fiore. The current one was held a while ago and we've reclaimed the title we lost 7 years ago."
"What really? What happened during those 7 years?"
"I'd rather not go deeper into it."
"I respect that."
Then the boat passed by where two men who are on it know the Celestial Wizard really well. They began to hoot and whistle due to her walking besides Sasuke and holding his arm.
"Hey blondie, I didn't know that you have a boyfriend." the boatman 1 said.
"Yeah and boy you picked a very mysterious type." the boatman 2 said.
"DON'T YOU TWO EVEN GO THERE!" Lucy yelled while waving her fist at them.
"Do you know those two?" Sasuke asked.
"They have a habit of teasing me every time I walk by."
"Oh."
"Now we're here."
They stopped in front of the building in what appears to be an apartment, Lucy pulled out her keys from her pocket and used it to open the door. They both got inside while Lucy held the door open for Sasuke to come in and then closed it afterwards. They walked upstairs in which Lucy decided to help him again by holding one of Sasuke's crutches so that it would be easy for him to grip on the rail very carefully and it's also a good thing that her apartment number is on the first floor. Once they reached up to the first floor, she handed him back his crutch and the two walked up to the door. She unlocks, opens and holds it until Sasuke gets into her home so that she can close it by locking it up again. Sasuke then starts looking around the place and lets out a very small whistle.
"Do you like it?" the Celestial Wizard asked.
"It looks amazing." the raven haired teen replied.
"Thank you. If you're wondering that it looks kind of a cheap place to live in, it actually cost me about 80,000j a month but was previously 70,000j."
"For a place like this? Man that's so ridiculously expensive."
"Tell me about it. Although it's a good thing we do job requests but I have to make sure my team doesn't go too overboard as always."
"Team?"
"Yeah, I'm part of Team Natsu."
"Wait, what? You're in the same group with pinky?"
"Unfortunately."
"That explains why he kept on telling you to stay away from me."
"Uh huh, but like I'd care."
"Anyways, I need to use the bathroom."
"*Points* It's over there."
Sasuke then went in the direction she was pointing at, he slid the curtain open by using one of his crutches and closed it with his hand. Lucy watches him for a second and then goes to the closet to search for some clothes to wear for bed.
"Now then. What should I wear?" she said to herself quietly.
As the sound of a flush was heard, Sasuke stepped out of the bathroom, went up towards the sink, turned the taps on to let the water run, rub some soap all over his hands, wash it and then splashed the water onto his face. He turned the taps to close the water. Placing his hands on each side of the sink, looking up to the mirror and giving his reflection a stern look as the remaining water drips from his face all the way down to the sink but that didn't matter to him until a voice snapped him out of it.
"Hey are you alright in there?" Lucy called him.
"Yeah I'm fine, just give me a sec." Sasuke responded.
"You sure?"
"100%?"
"Oh and I just want to let you know, you'll be sleeping on my bed while I take the couch."
"Thank you very much."
"You're totally welcome."
With that, he grabbed the pink towel on his left to dry his face and then his hands, he stepped out and saw Lucy holding her neatly folded clothes that consisted of a pink t-shirt and red shorts. They greet each other with smiles as Sasuke goes back to the main room and Lucy goes into the bathroom to get changed. Sasuke made his way to the bed, placed the crutches on the back and then sat on it. Then faced down at the floor with that same look he did with the mirror but slowly shook his head.
"Now it's not the time. First, you need to focus on healing up and then you'll see what you can do." he thought.
In the unknown forest...
Zeref was sitting on top of the rock with his legs crossed and his head looking down as his eyes were close. He was having a deep thought until he felt a familiar presence which caused him to calmly open his eyes.
"It's best if we do not interfere with their next plan." the Black Arts Wizard said. "Otherwise we'll screw it again."
Angry looking blue eyes are seen from the darkness. This however doesn't go unnoticed by Zeref as he knows how it feels to be enraged after being dismissed but he needs to focus on something even more important than those two visitors that he'd like to call them.
Hold on next plan?
What is this next plan he's speaking of?
Oh and since mage and wizard are both the same thing, I decided to use wizards instead. Oh and thank god for spell checks on this app that I've downloaded on my phone.
Also, I was planning to put in Cana's daydream of her and Sasuke almost doing it in the infirmary room but I feel as though this would make this story a Rated M instead of a Rated T.
