Episode 5: The Beheaded vs. Nomu
The Beheaded was enjoying what had become a typical day for him—wandering the city, exploring its various nooks and crannies, and trying to understand more about this strange new world. It had been a few weeks since Bakugou had started his hero academia studies at U.A. High School, and the Beheaded barely saw the boy anymore. Though he missed their training sessions, he was proud of Bakugou's achievements and hopeful for his future.
As he walked through a busy street, admiring the skyscrapers and the constant buzz of city life, a sudden mental notification went off. The magic used to create Bakugou's durability necklace had just returned to him. The necklace had broken. The Beheaded's heart sank, and he immediately knew something was terribly wrong.
He focused on the magical trail left by the returning enchantment, tracing it back to its source with a sense of urgency. His pace quickened as he moved through the streets, his mind racing with concern. Bakugou was in trouble, and he needed to reach him fast.
The trail led him to the Unforeseen Simulation Joint (USJ), a large facility used by U.A. High School for disaster and rescue training. The Beheaded could hear the sounds of battle as he approached—shouts, explosions, and the clash of powers. Without hesitation, he sprinted towards the chaos.
As he burst through the doors, the sight before him was nothing short of a war zone. A horde of villains was attacking the students of Class 1-A, two heroes were desperately trying to fend them off. One hero, Eraser Head, was badly injured, struggling to stay conscious. The second hero, Thirteen, was trapped by her own Quirk, unable to move from some kind of suction like ability.
But the Beheaded's eyes were fixed on a single figure amidst the chaos. Bakugou was barely standing, facing off against a monstrous figure—the Nomu. Bakugou's hero suit was in tatters, his gear broken, and his body bruised and battered. The Beheaded's heart clenched at the sight. The boy he had trained, the boy he had come to see as a son, was on the brink of defeat.
Rage flooded through the Beheaded. He grabbed his dual pan-chucks and katana, his movements swift and deadly. With a furious battle cry, he launched himself into the fray, tearing through the smaller villains with brutal efficiency. Each strike of his pan-chucks was a devastating blow, breaking bones and knocking enemies unconscious. He moved with the grace and speed of a warrior honed by countless battles, carving a path through the chaos towards Bakugou and the Nomu.
The students of Class 1-A watched in awe and confusion as the Beheaded tore through the villains. They had never seen anything like him before. Some mistook him for a hero, marveling at his incredible strength and skill.
"Who is that?!" Uraraka exclaimed, her eyes wide with shock.
"Is he a hero?" Kirishima wondered aloud, his own fists clenched in readiness.
"He's... amazing," Midoriya said, his voice filled with admiration and a hint of hope.
The leader of the villain attack, Tomura Shigaraki, watched with a mixture of amusement and irritation. "So, another hero comes to play," he sneered, his fingers twitching with anticipation. "But it won't make any difference. The Nomu is unbeatable."
As the Beheaded reached Bakugou, he saw the boy's determined but exhausted eyes. ~Hang on, kid.~he thought, his rage boiling over. He turned his focus to the Nomu, his grip tightening on his weapons. This creature would pay for hurting Bakugou.
With a swift motion, the Beheaded engaged the Nomu. His katana flashed in the bright light of the USJ, each slash precise and powerful. The Nomu retaliated, its massive fists swinging with bone-crushing force. But the Beheaded was relentless, his attacks a blur of speed and ferocity.
The Nomu's regenerative abilities allowed it to heal from the wounds almost instantly, but the Beheaded's onslaught was unyielding. Each time the Nomu healed, another barrage of brutal strikes followed. The Beheaded's dual pan-chucks struck with the force of a sledgehammer, breaking bones faster than the Nomu could mend them.
Shigaraki's confidence began to waver as he watched the Beheaded's relentless assault. "What is this... thing?" he muttered, frustration growing. "Nomu, kill him!"
The Beheaded's rage fueled his every move. He fought with a primal intensity, his mind focused solely on destroying the creature before him. The Nomu's healing factor began to falter under the sheer force of his attacks. For every wound that closed, two more were opened.
Bakugou, despite his injuries, watched with a mixture of awe and pride. ~That's it... show them.~ he thought, his eyes never leaving the Beheaded's form.
Aizawa, badly bruised, struggled to speak. "Stop... you're going too far..." he tried to call out, his voice muffled by the pain and exhaustion.
The Beheaded ignored him, his focus solely on the Nomu. He could see that the creature was barely holding together, its regeneration taxed to its limits by the continuous damage. Just as he prepared to deliver a finishing blow, the Nomu managed to land a lucky hit, sending the Beheaded flying across the room.
The impact was tremendous, and the Beheaded skidded to a halt against the far wall. The students gasped, some flinching at the sight of his motionless form.
Before anyone could react further, a powerful voice rang out. "I am here!"
All Might appeared, his presence instantly commanding attention. He dashed towards the Nomu, his eyes blazing with determination. "You've done well Bakugou to stall this beast, but I'll take it from here," he said, his voice calm but firm.
The Beheaded, regaining his footing, watched as All Might squared off against the Nomu. The Symbol of Peace moved with a speed and power that was awe-inspiring. Each punch he delivered rocked the Nomu, the force of his blows echoing through the U.S.J.
"Now it's my turn," All Might declared, his fist glowing with energy. "United States of Smash!"
The impact of All Might's punch shattered the Nomu's defenses, sending the creature crashing through several walls and sent flying through the sky.
The students erupted in cheers, relief washing over them. Aizawa let out a sigh of relief, sinking to his knees as the adrenaline left his body. Bakugou, still standing despite his injuries, watched with a mixture of admiration and frustration.
The Beheaded approached All Might, nodding in acknowledgment. All Might returned the gesture, a look of respect in his eyes.
"You fought well," All Might said, his voice steady. "But sometimes, restraint is just as important as strength."he said he looked at the beheaded.
As the Beheaded began to leave, a sudden outburst caught everyone's attention. The leader of the villains, Tomura Shigaraki, was throwing a tantrum. "This isn't fair!" he screeched, scratching his neck furiously. "He wasn't supposed to be here! It's like having a cheat character in a game!"
The Beheaded, not missing a beat, turned around and gave Shigaraki a middle finger. Shigaraki's face contorted with rage, but he was quickly pulled through a portal by Kurogiri, making their escape.
All Might turned to the Beheaded, a curious look on his face. "I've never seen you before. May I see your hero license?"
Realizing the predicament, the Beheaded took a step back. All Might's time limit was almost up, and he couldn't afford to waste time on formalities. With a swift movement, the Beheaded turned and ran, disappearing into the evening as All Might's form began to steam and shrink.
"Wait!" All Might called after him, but it was too late. The Beheaded was gone, leaving behind a trail of curiosity and unanswered questions.
As the students and heroes regrouped, Bakugou couldn't help but smirk. "That's the Beheaded for you." he muttered. "Always knows how to make an exit."
