The Tale Of The Three Sisters:
There were once three sisters called Elphaba, Theodora, and Evanna who were travelling along the yellow road.
In time the sisters reached a river to deep to wade through and too dangerous to swim across. However, these sisters were learned in magical arts and so they simply waved their wands and made a bridge appear across the treacherous water. They were halfway across it when they found their path blocked by a woman dressed in black and white. She was a Goddess called Yami who was the Goddess of Death . She spoke to them. she was angry that she had been cheated out of three new victims for travellers usually drowned in the river. But Yami was cunning. she pretended to congratulate the three sisters upon their magic, and said that each had earned a prize having been clever enough to evade her.
So Elphaba who was the eldest out of the sisters and was a combative woman and asked for a wand more powerful than any in existence a wand that always wins duels for its owner, a wand worthy of a witch who had conquered Yami! Yami crossed to an elder tree on the banks of the river, fashioned a wand from a branch that hung there and gave it to Elphaba.
Theodora who was the second eldest out of the sisters was an arrogant woman, decided that she wanted to humiliate Yami still further and asked for the power to recall others from Dreams. So Yami picked up a stone from the riverbank and gave it to the Theodora, and told her that the stone would have the power to make all of her desires to come true.
And then Yami asked Evanna who was the third and youngest sister what she would like. Evanna was the humblest and also the wisest of the sisters, and didn't trust Yami. So she asked for something that would enable her to go forth from that place without being followed by Yami . And Yami , most unwillingly handed over her cloak of invisibility.
Then Yami stood aside and allowed the three sisters to continue on their way and they did so, talking with wonder of the adventure they had and admiring Yami's gifts.
In due course the sisters separated, each for her own destination.
Elphaba travelled on for a week or more and reaching a distant village sought out a fellow witch with whom she had a quarrel.
Naturally with the Elder Wand as his weapon, he couldn't fail to win the duel that followed. Leaving h enemy dead upon the floor, Elphaba proceeded to an inn, where she boasted loudly of the powerful wand he had snatched from Yami herself, and of how it made her invincible.
That night another witch crept upon Elphaba as she lay wine sodden, upon her bed. The thief took the wand. And for good measure slit Elphaba's throat.
And so Yami took Elphaba for her own.
Meanwhile Theodora journeyed to her own home, where she lived alone. Here she took out the stone that had the power to make her desires come true, and turned it thrice in her hand. She wished that her and the Wizard of Oz would rekindle their romance To her amazement and her delight, the figure of the Wizard appeared and hoping that their romance would last once hoped to be with him always before his hoping that he would never betray again untimely he appeared at once before her.
Yet he was so confused and felt no love her ,and separated himself from her. Through this dream world the Wizard returned back to the land of Oz and to his true love by a witch named Glinda the Good . Finally Theodora was driven mad by her longing desire to be with the Wizard. As result after coming out her desirous world she decided , kill herself as her desire would never come true.
And so Yami took Theodora for her own.
But though Yami searched for Evanna for many years, she was never able to find her. It was only when he had attained a great age that Evanna finally took off the cloak of invisibility and gave it to her daughter. And then she greeted Yami as an old friend, and they gladly, and equals, they departed this life.
