-[two weeks later]-

Percy cursed as her eyes started hurting. It had been a side effect from her… reveal. Needless to say, most of the hunters were shocked, to say the least. Thankfully, she hadn't mentioned Chaos or Nekhbet. That would have been bad.

Sighing, Percy turned back to her work. The piles of laundry seemed to be lessened now, as if the hunters felt bad for her. She didn't need their pity.

Rubbing the sleep and pain from her eyes, Percy finished hanging up the laundry and turned towards her practice area, unsheathing her scythe as she did so. Percy had trained hard for the last week and now had complete mastery over her blue flames; time to go even further.

Inhaling sharply, Percy concentrated completely on her scythe. Infusing it with the hottest flames she could muster, Percy poured flame after flame into the scythe. After she had done all she could, Percy opened her eyes. The scythe had turned green, green flames dancing from the handle.

The next level was greek fire.

Whistling sharply, Percy took a moment to slam her scythe into a dummy. The flames instantly engulfed the dummy, burning it in milliseconds. Percy stared at her scythe in amazement. What was next? She wondered briefly, before going over to the archery range to complete her other chores.

'I need your help.'

"Nekhbet? What's going on?"

She seemed to scowl. 'You know the magician I was talking about? He's created several monsters. You'll encounter them soon enough; I'm just giving you a warning beforehand.'

With those words, she retreated back into Percy's mindspace. Percy sighed. She really couldn't get a break, after all.

Finishing her chores for the day, Percy retreated back to her house, locking the door as she did so. After Percy's forced divulgence, the hunters had stopped pranking him, but it never hurt to be safe.

Groaning, Percy conjured dinner for the hunters and transported them to the cafeteria using her flame powers. Groaning, Percy face-planted into her bed and looked forward to a peaceful, dreamless sleep.

Of course, the one time she wished for one, she didn't get one.

As soon as her consciousness wavered and her eyelids closed, Percy was transported outside, catching a fleeting glimpse of her body before her new vulture-body was swept into the unknown.

What was going on? She wondered before her consciousness was suddenly transported into a giant cave. Percy recognized it instantly; the cave where the great serpent Python resided.

The cave rumbled. Percy tried to take a step back, but her 'spirit' wouldn't let her. Cracks poured from the ceiling. All of a sudden Percy could register voices, though what they were saying were beyond her.

All of a sudden, the voices stopped and one started chanting in brass tones, sometimes in greek, sometimes in latin, and sometimes in a weird language Percy couldn't tell.

The rumbling started again. This time, the whole cave shook as tremor after tremor shook the cavern.

At last. The voice reverberated along the cavern. I am free.

Dozens of fissures appeared; the roof collapsed. Stone after stone shook the cave as they dropped and created tremors of their own.

Percy could only watch helplessly, unable to move her body, as a stone suddenly shifted towards her-

and then darkness.

Percy awoke, gasping for air. Sweat was laced across her back, creating uncomfortable feelings. Percy cursed and rushed towards the bathroom she had recently installed. Not bothering to knock, Percy raced to the toilet and barfed all over it.

Groaning, Percy clutched her stomach as she fell to her knees. Pain laced through his stomach as she barfed once more before passing out, her entire frame quivering.

Across from her, a stunned maiden goddess watched as Percy passed out, in the middle of taking a bath.

"Kelp Head!"

"What's going on?"

"What?"

"No clue."

"Passed… …wrong with him"

"What? That… … sense"

Percy blearily opened her eyes and instantly shut them. Light raced through the hunter's infirmary and went to her exposed eyelids. She could barely make out faces, let alone places.

"Percy?" a voice asked, tinged with worry.

She muttered something incoherent and flipped to her side. A tender hand touched her and forced her up to a sitting position. Groaning, she tried to open her eyes again, only to be met with a pair of silver eyes way too close to her own. She slumped back down, her tiredness taking a hold of her.

Trying to open her eyes again, Percy was greeted with a concerned face looking down at her. Artemis watched, concerned, as her guardian barely managed to stay upright.

"What happened to you?" she asked gently.

"I… have… no… idea." Percy said in-between coughs punctuated with occasional sneezes. "I... think… dream?"

Artemis frowned. That couldn't be right. Sighing, she fed him another piece of ambrosia, watching, dismayed, as it had no effect on the rapidly coughing Percy.

She would need to summon more suited for the job.

Inhaling slightly, she yelled "APOLLO!" with all her might.

A brief pause.

Apollo flashed into the ward. "Hey sis! What's going on?"

After a couple of months, Apollo regained his attitude, but was a little more conservative, more helpful. With the removal of the ancient laws, he also visited his children a lot more than usual.

Artemis frowned and gestured to the now barfing Percy. Apollo widened his eyes. "New hunter?"

"No you dolt, that's Percy." she snapped, covering her mouth as she realized what she said.

"Percy? What?"

"Apollo… just forget it. Just heal her."

"Okay… little sis."

"WE WERE BORN AT THE SAME TIME!"

"Whatever you say… little sis."

Artemis breathed deeply, trying to control her raging emotions. Apollo turned towards Percy, muttering a few incantations under his breath. Several crackles of energy emerged from him and illuminated Percy, bathing her in a golden light.

Once all the energy had disappeared, Apollo removed his hand, breathing heavily. "I've done all I could. Now tell me, what was that about Percy?"

Artemis rolled her eyes. "Swear on the styx you won't tell."

"I swear on the styx to not tell whatever important information my little sis is trying to give me."

Artemis sighed. "That is Percy."

Apollo blinked. "That can't be Percy, that is a girl."

"That's Percy because I turned him into a girl."

"Why's Percy here anyways?"

"Percy is now my guardian. From Hestia."

"So Percy is a female to appease your hunters."

"No, Percy's a female because he won against-"

"Why the hell did I hear my name like fifty times?" asked Percy, confusion written on her face. Artemis thought she looked beautiful- wait what?

Apollo turned him. "Because Percy is apparently Percy-" he started before turning over, emitting peals of laughter. Artemis rolled her eyes at him and turned towards him.

"Because I was just explaining what happened to you."

Groaning, Percy removed her hand from her stomach. "And why is he here in the first place?"

"To heal you."

"I was going to be totally fine!"

"You were not. You were literally coughing every two seconds."

Percy hesitated. "Okay, fine, but ambrosia didn't work?"

"No, and I couldn't risk giving you more in fear of you burning up-"

"Woah." interjects Apollo.

Artemis turned towards him balefully. "Can you people please STOP interrupting me?" she asked, deadly calm.

Apollo, unaware of the dangers of angering an already angered Artemis, said, "I'm no Aphrodite, but Percy, you have my absolute blessing for your relationship!" Grinning, he added on, "I can't believe my little sis is finally getting a girlfriend! Or technically, a boyfriend."

Artemis sputtered, her cheeks turning golden as she struggled to form coherent answers. Percy's cheeks turned crimson. She subtly noticed how cute Artemis looked when she blushed… COME ON, APHRODITE! CUT ME SOME SLACK!

Apollo grinned, his guess being correct. "Well, tell me if you need anything, like a ri-"

That was the last straw for Artemis. Already angered at her brother, she instantly pounced on him, summoning her dual daggers. Before she could attempt to murder and castrate Apollo, the door of the infirmary opened and in stepped Thalia. "What the-" she started.

Noticing the blushed cheeks and the grinning Apollo who Artemis was in the midst of murdering, Thalia stepped towards them.

"Artemis, what is going on?"

"Well," Apollo started, cheekily grinning from ear to ear, "Artemis was just telling me all about her relationship with-"

At this moment, Artemis cleaved downwards and Apollo had to jump back. Percy restrained her.

"LET ME GO, PERSEUS!" she roared and Percy flinched back. "I NEED TO KILL THAT… ABSOLUTE DISGRACE THAT IS MY BROTHER!"

"You can kill him at a later time, Arty," and Artemis didn't even blink when Percy used her pet name for Artemis. "but we should explain what is going on to Thals-"

"Aw, you guys have pet names for each other! That's so sweet!"

Artemis instantly broke out of Percy's grasp and turned towards Apollo, summoning her silver longbow as she went. Apollo faltered at the death stare she was giving him and instantly ran out of the room.

"COME BACK HERE YOU ABSOLUTE GAS HOLE!" she roared.

Thalia rolled her eyes and stepped out of the room before Artemis rushed through it, intent on destroying Apollo. Percy sighed and turned towards her bed, resigning herself to sleeping more. Thankfully, she had a dreamless sleep and awoke the next morning.

The next morning, she rolled out of bed, only to be stopped by a person sleeping there. Artemis slept there, and all Percy could think about was how plump her lips looked and how she wanted to kiss them…

She is a maiden goddess, she chided herself before rolling the other way. Groaning, she stepped outside. The sun was particularly bright this morning; Apollo must really be happy for his sis.

Percy checked her watch. She frowned as she read the date, recalling there was something she needed to do today…

Today's the day we move camp, Artemis had said. We'll be journeying on…

Percy's eyes widened as she realized the dates matched up. She sighed. Time to pack up.
