Author note: I can't believe I've made it to chapter 80. I started this fanfic for fun and for writing practice in 2018. Six years ago. The only reason I've been able to go write on it this long is because of all my readers leaving encouraging comments. Many of you have been following my story almost that long. I'm honored as an author and a writer that you've all stuck around on this journey with me. Enough of that awkward sauce though. You're all here for some Seto and Ana. So, let's get right to it!

Chapter 80:

Future and Vacation

Seto sat at his laptop in his office in Domino city. Graduation happened a couple of weeks ago. The tests for the college entrance exams had been a rather boring affair for him. Ana had come out of the exam room looking like an empty shell, but he was pretty confident that his girlfriend would pass for whatever school she'd been aiming for. I wish she would tell me where she wanted to go already so I can get preparations made. I don't see the need to wait for the acceptance letters.

His phone buzzed, and he groaned at the message. The text was from Arata. Seto had gone to the graduation ceremony only because he didn't want any strange guys approaching Ana last minute to confess their feelings for her. He'd heard something along those lines happening at graduations. Surprisingly, he was the one who got approached. Not for confession, but a ton of people in his class and others came to give him flowers. Way too many flowers to carry. His guards had to take them away. Arata had burst into tears when saying goodbye and hung on his arm asking for his phone number. Seto refused, but Ana had said she'd give it to him if he didn't. Much to his chagrin, he'd given the obnoxious red head his number and now the guy had been messaging him every day about mundane stuff.

Seto replied: Stop texting me!

Arata: He lives! I thought you were dead since you didn't answer my one hundred and two other messages.

He glanced at the message count and groaned. It really was that many.

Seto: You need therapy. I can recommend a good therapist to you.

Arata: Oooh? That's so sweet of you to worry about me.

Seto let out a loud "Ugh."

Arata continued: I got my acceptance letter in today! I'm going to Domino University. You should come hang out with me sometime and stop being a social reject. Would you like to hang out this summer before school starts?

Seto scowled at his phone: I'd rather bath in shit than hang out with you willingly.

Arata: ;P You haven't blocked me yet.

He put his phone down and sighed. Why haven't I blocked him? He didn't have time to contemplate it as a call from Ana came in. He picked it up quickly. He hadn't seen her in two weeks since he'd needed to go back to Domino to work, but he talked with her every day. It wasn't enough, though. He wanted to see her in person.

"Seto…" Her voice came out nervous and hesitant.

"What's wrong?" He didn't like the way she sounded. Who do I need to kill? Wait, did I make her mad again?

"I got my acceptance letter."

He almost let out a verbal sigh of relief but held it back. "Ah, so which school did you apply for?"

"You're not going to ask if I made it in?"

Seto smirked. "I know you'll make it into whatever school you choose."

Ana laughed, sounding a little less nervous. "And why is that?"

"Because I'm an amazing tutor and I wouldn't pick an idiot as a girlfriend," Seto bragged.

"How did you manage to make this about you, Amin-chan?" She ticked her tongue, but her tone was playful.

"Well, you don't seem to have enough confidence in yourself, so instead you can just have confidence in me."

She laughed, and he felt like he could hear her rolling her eyes.

Seto was starting to feel impatience. "So, where did you pick?"

Ana dodged his question. "What about you? Did you get your acceptance letter?"

"Oh, about that. I got it two days after the test. It was something about having a perfect score and wondering if I even needed college."

Ana laughed. Seto wasn't joking, though. He decided not to correct the misunderstanding.

"Can I video call you?" she asked quietly.

He perked up at this and quickly switched over to a video call, but it wasn't Ana he was seeing. It was a paper. He skimmed the paper. It was her acceptance letter into Domino University. There was silence as reality sunk in.

"Seto?" Ana switched the phone over to her face, but Seto quickly turned the phone away from him. "Seto? I can't see you."

He felt like his heart was going to explode and that there was the goofiest, happiest grin on his face right now. He took a few breaths to rein in his emotions before turning the camera back on himself.

"Great. Where are you going to move to?" He did his best to keep the doltish smile under control.

Ana grinned at him almost knowingly but didn't tease him. "Living on campus would cause too many issues. There are a lot of people who would approach me for my family name."

Seto's heart skipped a beat. "Then—"

She cut him off. "I've already got an apartment picked out. It's not particularly close to campus, but it has the best security—Seto, you're pouting."

"Am not." He growled, but he was pretty sure he was.

Ana's eyes narrowed as she smirked. "I see. I guess I could change to an apartment close to campus and not two blocks away from Kaiba Tower."

He blinked a few times, then sighed. "Is this some sort of compromise?"

Ana paused, then asked nervously, "You were going to ask me to live with you, weren't you?"

Seto grimaced. "Am I that obvious?"

"Since…since Christmas, I feel like you've been a little more open with me. I don't want to live with you. The rumor mill is already going to be insane and I'm not able to ignore the stares and questions as well as you can." Ana frowned. "Plus, that giant mansion would make me insanely uncomfortable."

Seto put a finger to his lips and chin thinking. This again. I understand her family has trained her this way because they wanted her to be ok with a less extravagant lifestyle, but that's not going to work. I want to buy her gifts and give her nice things. What do I do to get her to be more willing to accept them? Should I show her my bank account?

He finally looked at her and said, "I need to spoil you more."

Her face turned pink, and her mouth opened slightly. "Excuse me? What does that mean? If you start dropping presents on me all the time, I'm going to be very upset."

"I believe I told you before that if you're dating me, you're going to need to get over your frugality some. Once a week. I won't bug you about moving in with me again if you let me spoil you once a week. That means you accept whatever gift, food, or experience I pay for without rejecting it." Seto looked at her determined.

Ana's mouth tightened. "How about once a month?"

"Twice a week, then."

"Amin-chan!"

"Yes, Chi-chan? Should I start getting your wing in the mansion ready? I'm sure your grandfather would be thrilled. I'll let Inu know right away, too—"

"Fine!" Ana conceded. "Once a week. Good grief, you're an ass."

Seto smirked. "A fine one at that."

Ana blushed. "I've got to go. Sanae wanted to hang out."

"Wait," Seto didn't want her to hang up. Plus, Arata asking about hanging out this summer had sparked something in his mind. "Ana, would you like to go on a trip with me?"

Ana stared at him blankly before asking, "Are you, Seto Kaiba, the workaholic, suggesting we take a vacation together?"

"I miss you." He flat out said, and she blushed deeply.

Ana looked thoughtful. "You're going to make this one of your 'spoil' gifts, aren't you?"

He grinned at her and just chuckled. She knows me pretty well at this point.

Ana sighed and then looked at him determinedly. "Ground rules. I'm not going international because I don't have a passport. Also, a trip already counts as a gift so, no buying me extravagant gifts during it. And no doing anything crazy like booking out an entire five-star resort!"

Seto was already thinking of ways around these conditions. "Fine."

Ana looked at him suspiciously. "Alright. Let me know the dates and I'll get permission from grandpa. Later, Amin-chan."

"Later."

She hung up and Seto buzzed Inu into his office.

"What did you need, sir?"

"Can you block out a week on my schedule? I'm going to take a vacation."

Inu looked down at his tablet. "Right, a va…cation? HUH!"
