As Alexis and Sammy are sleeping in the back they both soon get woke up by the sound of Ben honking the horn.
"Ugh. I swear I'm gonna kill Ben if he doesn't stop with that blasted horn." Alexis says annoyedly.
"You and me both. Hey! How about a little warning? You got a couple of live bodies back here." Sammy says angrily as she and Alexis feel a bump from Ben hitting a pothole.
"Sorry girls. Pothole. They're fine." Ben says as Alexis and Sammy come up front.
"I'm not fine! I'm the opposite of fine. Yaz is still not picking up her phone." Sammy says angrily.
"Sammy how many times do I gotta tell you? Cell phones are traceable!" Ben says annoyedly.
"I do not care Benjamin. You'd do the same thing if you had a girlfriend." Sammy says.
"I definitely wouldn't because I do and I haven't." Ben says.
"You do what?" Sammy asks.
"Have a girlfriend." Ben says.
"Really?" Alexis and Darius ask in surprise.
"Yes really. She lives in... Europe. Is that the highway patrol?" Ben asks as the group hears sirens and get off the to the side.
"No. DPW." Darius says as trucks come by carrying dinosaurs before he zones out with a freaked out look.
"Darius? Darius? Darius where are you?" Ben asks as Darius snaps out of it.
"You okay?" Alexis asks.
"I uh... Never mind. We should we should get going." Darius says.
*Timeskip*
"We're close right? Darius?" Ben asks as he looks around.
"Huh?" Darius asks.
"Are we close?" Ben asks.
"Sorry, sorry. Yeah. Uh i-it should be right up here." Darius says as the group pulls up to a small trailer.
"Wait. This is Kenji's place? Rich boy, penthouse, my bowling alley has a bowling alley Kenji?" Sammy ask in shock.
"This is so not what I expected." Alexis says.
"I knew his dad lost all their money when he went to prison." Ben says as the group gets out of the van.
"When we sent him to prison." Sammy says.
"Yeah but... I wasn't expecting this." Ben sahs.
"Darius did Kenji never mentioned anything to you?" Sammy asks.
"We're not exactly on speaking terms." Darius says as he gives a sad look as Alexis shifts to wolf form and sniffs around a bit.
"Oh. Well it may look a little... rugged but I bet it's darling on the inside. Come on." Sammy says as Ben knocks on the front door.
"You sure this is the right address?" Ben asks as no one answers the door.
"Maybe try knocking one more time?" A voice asks before behind startling the group before Alexis turns and jumps on the person growing before stopping seeing it's Kenji.
"Kenji?" Alexis asks.
"Good to see you too." Kenji says as Alexis lets him up.
"Kenji? Oh my goodness. Don't sneak up on us like that!" Sammy says in relief.
"Yeah. Not sneaking. Just coming home from teaching rock climbing." Kenji says as Alexis shifts to human form and hugs Kenji happily.
"Hey Kenj." Ben says as he bumps fists with Kenji.
"Dude did you get even taller? Slow down buddy. Well can I give you a hug or do I gotta worry about anyone else jumping me?" Kenji asks as he looks at Sammy.
"No you're good but duh! I'm always up for a hug." Sammy says happily as she hugs Kenji.
"Come on inside. Welcome to casa de Kenji 2.0." Kenji says as he heads toward the door as the group heads inside as everyone looks around at the place in surprise.
"It's uh nice. Uh what are those?" Alexis asks as she sees a bunch of stickers.
"Aha I see my budding business has caught your eyes. Here have some swag." Kenji says as he gives Sammy and Alexis a sticker.
"You Kon climb too? This is really something, Kenj!" Sammy says as Darius comes inside.
"Almost forgot! Ta-da! They glow in the dark. Isn't that sick?" Kenji says as he turns the lights off.
"Real great Kenji. But that's not why we're here. We came to warn you. We're all in danger." Ben says as Kenji playfully scoffs.
"Danger? I don't do danger anymore. I'm more of an eat-climb-love kinda guy now." Kenji says as he plops down on his bed.
"Great in theory until raptors show up at your door." Sammy says.
"Raptors? For real?" Kenji asks as he sits up in surprise.
"Yeah for real. Why do you think we're here? It's not for the sparkling conversation." Darius says as Alexis looks at him.
"Sorry what was that? I'm not fluent in betrayal." Kenji says angrily.
"Dude, what's your problem?" Darius asks angrily.
"Brooklynn's death... Brooklynn's death... wasn't an accident." Ben says sadly.
"What? No. You... You don't know what you're talking about." Kenji sahs.
"He's telling the truth Kenji." Alexis says.
"The Allosaurus that night... Brooklynn was targeted." Ben says.
"Someone's to blame for her death but it's not a bunch of dinosaurs." Kenji says as he glares at Darius.
"We don't know what's going on. But we do know someone's been using dinos to come after us. Brooklynn's death... Well... Things don't add up. I found this map she left with a note. It's an address near here. And the note's dated not long before she... You know..." Sammy says as Darius gives Kenji the map.
"We think it might be a clue to what's going on. Did you two meet there?" Ben asks.
"No. I've never been to this address." Kenji says sadly.
"Are you sure? Kenji are you-" Darius then gets cut for by Kenji.
"Yes. I'd known if I had. Trust me." Kenji says frustratedly.
"Why? What's there?" Alexis asks.
"That's where my dad lives." Kenji says.
"Daniel? She met with... Daniel? Whoa. What is that?" Ben asks in alarm as the trailer begins shaking due to rumbling outside.
"Whoa. What do we do?" Darius asks in alarm.
"Kenji!" Ben shouts annoyedly.
"Would you guys chill? They'll be done in a minute 'kay?" Kenji says as the group looks outside and sees a herd of dinosaurs running by before the shaking stops.
"Well that was... fun. I'm gonna go try Yaz again." Sammy says as she leaves.
"I'll go with her." Alexis says as she follows Sammy and finds her trying to get through to Yazmina on her phone before the two see Kenji angrily walking into the woods.
"Kenji!" Sammy shouts as she and Alexis see Ben and Darius come outside.
"Where's he going?" Alexis asks.
"He didn't exactly take the news about his dad so well." Ben says.
"Okay well Yaz still isn't answering my calls. I know she doesn't always answer. But at least she texts back or maybe just gives a thumbs up even though she knows I hate those. They give me passive-aggressive vibes but she doesn't mean it that way. But I got that girlfriend intuition that something ain't right... I think we should split up." Sammy says as Ben gasps.
"You and Yaz?" Ben asks.
"Ben she means we should split up. Some fo us go get Yaz while others stay here to get Kenji." Alexis says.
"No there's safety in numbers. We should all stick together." Darius says.
"Yaz needs me." Sammy says as she looks at Ben causing him to cover his keys with his hands.
"No please." Ben says as Sammy begins tickling him.
"Give me the keys. Thank you." Sammy says as she gets the keys and heads toward the van.
"Aw no. Wait! You can't just... Hey! You can't take my van! Okay maybe you can, but I'm coming with you." Ben says as he gets in the vehicle before Darius tries to get in only to find the door locked.
"Huh? Hey you guys locked the door." Darius says.
"Sorry D. You gotta stay." Ben says.
"Hilarious. Come on. Unlock it." Darius says annoyedly.
"You said it yourself. Safety in numbers and Alexis is right. Someone has to stay here to get Kenji. Yaz is all alone and Kenji will be too if you come with us." Sammy says.
"So? Kenji obviously wants nothing to do with me. He's actively and very non-discretely ignoring me." Darius says angrily.
"Darius we're being hunted. We need to have each other's backs." Ben says.
"Why don't you stay then Ben? At least Kenji will actually look at you." Darius asks angrily.
"I can't leave my baby." Ben says.
"It'll be good for you two. And while you're here you can convince him to take you to talk to his dad." Sammy says.
"Now that's hilarious. Okay fine. Me the guy Kenji hates will try to convince him to see his dad who he also hates." Darius says annoyedly in defeat.
"That's the spirit." Sammy says happily.
"Great!" Ben says.
"We'll call you when we get to Yaz's." Sammy says.
"Well you don't have Kenji's... Number." Darius says annoyedly as Sammy shows him the sticker with Kenji's number.
"Don't worry D. I'll stay with you. Probably be a good idea given how Kenji is acting anyway." Alexis says.
"Stay safe." Sammy says as she drives off.
"Thanks for nothing!" Darius shouts angrily.
"Come on mister grumpy. Let's go find your brother." Alexis says as she and Darius begin walking.
*Timeskip*
"Kenji? Kenji! Of course he'd be a mile up. And I guess I'm going up." Darius says as he and Alexis find Kenji climbing next to a water fall.
"Yeah you can climb that. I'll find my own way up. I greatly prefer my feet on the ground." Alexis says as she shifts to wolf form and begins jumping onto ledges nearby before making it to the top shortly before Darius climbs up to the top after Kenji.
"Whoa. Beautiful." Alexis says as she and Darius see the light on the dinosaurs below reflecting with the sunset.
"This is incredible." Darius says.
"Of course you would think it's cool." Kenji says.
"Listen Kenji. Brooklynn felt bad. After you broke up. For not paying attention. For not appreciating all this." Darius says.
"How do you know that?" Kenji asks as he looks at Darius.
"She told me what happened. How you dump... Broke up with her on top of a mountain." Darius says.
"W-When did she tell you that?" Kenji asks.
"Um she came and stayed at my cabin with me for a while. She needed someone to talk to I guess." Darius says as Kenji scoffs.
"Yeah. She needed someone." Kenji says angrily.
"I'm... I thought you knew." Darius says.
"No I didn't know. I didn't know she stayed with you. I didn't know she visited my dad. No one tells me anything. All right we'll go see my dad in the morning. Ask him about Brooklynn." Kenji says as he grabs his helmet.
"Wait for real?" Darius asks in surprise.
"If someone is after us and my dad knows something we need to know." Kenji says as he begins climbing down the cliff.
"Wait how do I get back down? Kenji? Kenji!" Darius shouts as Alexis begins jumping on ledges and climbing down.
