My Hero Academia: Discovery of Q-Energy
Chapter: 3. Investigation of Victims.
During the evening, a mother, father, and daughter get on a stage in front of a building in a contest for the best quirk of the contestants. The jovial girl opens her mouth to speak.
"Thank you! Everyone!" the girl exclaims, "I am Aoi! And my Quirk is the Metal! And my dream hero name would be Blacksmith! Anyways, thank you again for selecting me as the winner! I wish all of you to have a good time with the quirks you're given! Keep training and we may become pro heroes like the ones before us!"
"And there we have it!" The announcer exclaims, "The winner of the 1st Elementary Quirk Competition, Aoi Tano, has given us our inspiration, just like our funder, All Might did for all of Japan. May the Pro heroes bless us with their protection and their dedication to creating the next era of their successors! Lets give them a round of applause!"
Everyone then applauds with massive enthusiasm as the family gets down from the stage.
"I'm so proud of you!" Mrs. Yano joyfully says as she picks up Aoi, "Tonight, you're having gyoza for dinner!"
"Yay!" Aoi exclaims.
"Do you need to go to the restroom before we head home?" Mr. Yano responds.
"Yeah." Aoi embarrassingly admits, "I needed to go for a while."
"Then why didn't you say anything!?" Mrs. Yano asked worryingly.
"I didn't't want to miss this!" Aoi explains.
"Dear, make sure you put your needs before this stuff, alright?" Mr. Yano responds.
"Okay!" Aoi replies, "I'll be back in a jiffy!"
Aoi accompanied by her mother entered the Woman's bathroom, unbeknownst to any one of the camera robot stalking and analyzing them. The robot then sneakily enters the restroom and all that can be heard inside is screams. Screams that couldn't reach the father until it was too late. 10 minutes later, a woman entered the restroom to find the mangled bodies of the two women, with their scalps removed and all their head hair with it. A few days later the police came over to the academy to discuss the current situation and how it is tied to the events of the P.E. Battle with the League of Villains with Mr. Nezu.
"This is a photo of the mother and daughter who were murdered during the event." The officer explains, "While their scalps were surgically removed, the other injuries the two gained are like a wild animal. It even has the dying message of "Villain" written underneath the mother's torso. This makes us believe that this is part of the League of Villains, Mr. Nezu. We require additional assistance, from your school. But, if you need some time to receiver from this attack that happened recently-"
"Oh, no. I'm really used to this sort of stuff, and this does interest me in the League of Villains' change in MO. Why attack us once then go after random citizens like a deluded serial killer? I'm fascinated to see how this plays out." Nezu exclaims with interest. "Besides since we did get attacked by the League of Villains again, it's all the more reason for us to intervene. And we are heroes! Our job is to track these villains down. You have our word, we will figure out what these villains are planning."
"Thank you. We figured we can count on you!" The officer replies in relief.
The officer leaves the room with Principal Nezu going deep in thought. Usually, I am excited to hunting a villain, but why do I have a bad feeling about this one? Maybe I need to be extra cautious about the Villains more than before. These maybe random, but maybe there is a connection between this incident and the one here?
"Nezu, what do you think?" Aizawa asks.
"I don't know yet. But something seems fishy about all of this." Nezu says as he taps his fingers on the desk, "there's too many vague factors at play here. Maybe there is a hidden reason behind these random events?"
"We still need a lot more information regarding the matter." Aizawa replies. "I'll send more pro heroes on the scene-"
Suddenly the same officer races back in with a panicked expression on his face. As if true horror and fear was an addiction and he got overdosed. "Principal Nezu! 7 more murders occurred around the same area!"
"WHAT!?" Nezu and Aizawa screams in disbelief.
"How is that possible?!" Aizawa demands, "And for all of those bodies to be discovered at the exact same time!?"
"We have no idea! But, we just got updated by an anonymous person just a few minutes ago!" The officer responds.
"We'll need more assistance." Aizawa responds, "Where are we-?"
Aizawa stops his sentence when Nezu develops a mischievous smile.
"No. They're still not ready for this type of heroism!" Aizawa responds. "They haven't been trained in investigation yet!"
"Well, it can provide a good learning experience!" Nezu replies."And its a hero's duty to protect the civilians."
"Well..." Aizwaw begins to reply.
"And we need at least two heroes for every crime scene." Nezu explains, "You should know that."
"Fine!" Aizawa says, giving up. "I'll get the most capable students for the jobs."
"Excellent!" Nezu replies with a smile, who turns his head to the officer, "Don't worry! We'll send our most qualified students to help in the investigation."
"Thank you so much!" The officer replies with so much relief, "I'll get you all the case information when we get all the crime scenes secure. Thank you again!"
The officer bows deeply as he exits the room in a hurry.
"8 murders." Aizawa replies in shock over the course of a single night with his hand in his hair in disbelief, "How could it all happen over the course of one night?"
"It is strange that's for sure." Nezu agrees to Aizawa's concerns, "We need to address this as soon as possible. Get some of our most capable students now."
"Very well." Aizawa responds.
Back in the classroom a few hours later, the entire class of 1-A sits patiently for Aizawa when he alongside the officer enter the classroom. Thew two
"EEK! What's that plain shady cop doing here?!" Jun frighteningly says jumping out of his seat.
"H-Hey!" The officer stutters angrily, "Just because you just got out of reformed from juvie doesn't mean I don't have my eyes on you!"
"Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait! Hold up!" Denki replies in confusion, "You went to juvie? How are you even qualified to be a hero?!"
"Well, it was a minor prank, and I completed a program for rehabilitation. So now I'm as mature as an old man!" Jun replies.
"Yesterday, you put a whoopee cushion under my pillow!" Mineta complains.
"To be fair, Mineta." Taiko responds, "You do deserve that for peeking under my-"
"Okay!" Izuku says as he desperately covers Taiko's mouth. How's about we talk about what we-"
"Isn't that Shoto Todoroki in the corner" The Officer asks.
Shoto is at the corner of the class crouched with his legs curled to his chest and his hands on them.
Momo who is comforting him replies to the other students softly, "After Dabi's return, he's been like this."
"Well, do you think we should go to another place for this?" Ochaco asks with concern.
"No." Shoto replies, "I don't mind. Continue."
"O-okay." The Officer responds as he adjusts his glasses, "So, I'll get straight to the point: There have been 8 murder incidents in the past 12 hours."
"Wait what?!" Denki responds, "How?!"
"I know." Aizawa responds, "Even I was surprised with the news of this."
"And the with the policy to have two heroes investigate one crime scene, we've need some of your help to investigate." The Officer explains.
"Investigation?" Denki asks in confusion.
"You see, before these murders, we originally planned on having a different subject today, but now we're skipping over to the subject of Investigation of Victims." Aizawa explains.
"What?! How does detective work do anything with heroism!?" Bakugo complains.
"Remember what Shoto told you." Taiko responds.
Seriously!? You too?!" Bakugo complains.
Taiko then glares at Bakugo in an intimidating manner, one far more unnerving than Bakugo could handle.
"F-fine. F*ck." Bakugo responds reluctantly.
"Anyways," the Officer resumes explaining, "We're going to enlist some of you guys since some of the heroes are already busy with some of the other cases and other things. So We'll need 4 pairs of the most competent and worthy students to assist in the investigation."
"I'll say those people are, Izuku, Momo, Bakugo, Uraraka, Jirou, Iida, Tokoyami, and Asui. I would include Shoto, but he's too emotional right now." Aizawa explains.
"I'll stay behind with Shoto." Momo replies.
"But, we still need one more person." The Officer replies.
"Then I volunteer Denki." Jirou replies.
Everyone looks at Jirou with much confusion.
"You do realized he is terrible at thinking based duties." Iida asks.
"I know. but what he lacks in wit, he's more than makes up more in observations." Jirou explains.
"Yeah! Just like how I saw that spider thing crawling around when you we were fighting the League of Villains yesterday!" Denki explains.
Everyone then turns to Denki in infuriating rage.
"WHY THE F*CK DID YOU NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT IT UNTIL NOW?!" Bakugo screams.
"Because I thought you all saw it yourselves. So, there wasn't any need for discussion." Denki explains.
"He's not just academically a moron, he's lacking in common sense!" Hanako replies.
"Hey!" Denki replies.
"Then, if you're that observant-" The Officer responds.
"You have a crush on the big super model, Makoto Tanaka, based on those photos in your pocket." Denki responds.
The officer panicky stuffs the photos deeper into his pocket after noticing them sticking out. "Oh, sh*t! Oh, sh*t! Oh, sh*t! Oh, sh*t! Oh, sh*t! Oh, sh*t! Oh, sh*t! Oh, sh*t! Oh, sh*t! Oh, sh*t!"
"No need to get embarrassed, she's a cutie." Mineta responds, before Momo from behind hits him in the head.
"Good enough." Aizawa replies.
"A-a-anyways!" The Officer replies, "I'll put you in your groups: Jirou and Denki, Tokoyami and Iida, Asui and Uraraka, and Izuku and Bakugo."
"Geez, why are we placed together all the time!?" Bakugo complains.
"So, where are these bodies located?" Iida asks.
"All of them are in Musutafu, I'll give you these files that hold important information regarding each case." The Officer replies, "Which I'll hand out right now-"
Suddenly, Nezu slams the door open.
"Wait!" Nezu exclaims before walking in front of the teacher's desk.
"Principal Nezu!" The entire classroom exclaims in surprise.
"What are you doing here sir?" Haru asks.
"I'm just here to give you a warning about my feeling about this situation. This time, I am not as carefree and jovial as I used to. The Villains are planning something concerning, something diabolical and more so than usual, and these attacks are random and right after they just attack us outnumbered. They have some sort of trump card. Make sure you proceed with extra caution than you usually do. please be careful." Nezu explains in a gloomy and concerned mood.
"We usually do." Bakugo responds.
"Don't underestimate the villains!" Nezu screams, "I have a bad feeling about this one! If you let these villains have an inch they'll walk all over you. This is not something to take lightly. Not even I who can predict the Villains' attacks, cannot figure out what these villains are after. So, be careful!"
"President Nezu, are you alright?!" Iida asks with great concern.
"What's wrong!?" Taiko asks.
"Yeah, you never panic like this before!" Uraraka responds.
"Sorry. I am at a roadblock when determining the Villains' attacks, and these murders seem random and this is the first time the villains cornered me like this." Nezu explains, "And this gives me a mental breakdown. I just need you guys back safe so we can take these Villains down."
"I guess, these attacks are strategically confusing." Tokoyami replies.
"And, I have reason to believe that the Villains are working with someone behind the shadows. This is mainly because these attacks are even more strategically planned than before. To throw us off. So, during the investigation, make sure to establish if a third party is involved." Nezu explains.
"Will do." Izuku replies.
"Good." Nezu says with slight relief.
"Remember, this investigation requires..." The Officer begins to speak.
"Yada-Yada." Denki replies, "Lets just get these files and be informed as we make our way there."
"For once, I can agree with bold brain." Bakugo replies.
"Grr!" The Officer replies.
As the students recieve their files and walk out of the classroom, Izuku looks back at Shoto and Momo. Momo looks at Izuku and the two nod at each other to take down these villains before the assigned hero leaves, vowing to take down the League of Villains and any potential third parties. Meanwhile, back at the League of Villains, the Mysterious villain pets the scalps of the victims while treating their robotic minion with a crate of batteries.
"You've done well, my pet." The Mysterious Villain responds, "Now, once you're done with your dinner, go back out there attempt one and stay in the shadows upon further instructions."
"What's the meaning behind these attacks?" Tenko asks.
"You, see there is a group of people who continuously pose a grave threat to this plan if we get caught by the heroes too early, so I'm taking the logos and replacing it with the pathos." The Mysterious Villain explains, "That way, they'll be too emotional to make a logical decision. Now, get more hair follicles. I have a trap to set up."
A new chapter of trauma is on the horizon, a new era of death is reaching its peak, and what becomes of confident heroes will turn into broken children who will have everything they love crumble before their eyes. And yet, the worst has yet to come, as the robot finished its meal, and heads out upon its master's orders.
