Chapter 7: Disaster At The Valley Windworks! First Encounter With Galactic Admin Mars!

As the party reached the crowd gathering at Floaroma Town's eastern entrance, they noticed a little girl asking for help.

Michael - "What's the problem?"

Little Girl - "Please, you must help me save my papa."

Twilight - "Your papa's in trouble?"

Little Girl - "Yes. You see, the two of us lived together at the Valley Windworks. But then this bunch of people dressed like weird spacemen came… They kicked me out, and are currently making my papa do something."

Roxanne - "So Team Galactic's taken over the Valley Windworks and have taken this girl's dad hostage. What do we do now Michael?"

Michael walked over and knelt in front of the girl.

Michael - "What's your name little one?"

Little Girl - "Annebelle sir."

Michael - "Well don't you worry about a thing Annebelle. You have my word that my friends and I will bring your papa back to you safe and sound."

Annebelle - "You will?"

Michael - "Of course. Girls."

The girls then quickly walked over to Michael.

Michael - "Roxanne. You know where the Windworks is, don't you?"

Roxanne - "Yes. It's down the road here, on our left as we approach it."

Michael - "Good. You, Twilight, Sabrina, and Kronii are gonna join me in helping to save Annebelle's papa. Everyone else, help the townsfolk with taking care of Annebelle until we return with her papa."

Girls - "Yes sir!"

Michael then led his group of five over to the Valley Windworks. Upon arriving at the entrance, they found another Team Galactic Grunt blocking the door.

Team Galactic Grunt - "Don't you all dare go into the Valley Windworks. I've been ordered to keep out everyone that's not a part of Team Galactic. You're all giving me a look that makes me think you're gonna try to get in. Ok, then. You'll have to battle me for it!"

The grunt sent out a Glameow to battle with. Michael was gonna answer with his own feline in Delcatty, but then decided to use Brionne. His choice didn't matter as Glameow was easily taken care of.

Michael - "Good job Brionne."

Brionne - "Thanks Michael."

Team Galactic Grunt - "Isn't that just great. Getting owned by some kid. But you all can't do a thing if I lock myself inside with my Works Key! That's right, the other Works Key's not here! My cohorts in the flower patch have the only other one! Hahaha! In that sense, I'm no longer the loser!"

The grunt then rushed into the Windworks, locking the door behind him.

Sabrina - "I guess this is the key that grunt was talking about then."

Sabrina revealed that she had the other Works Key.

Michael - "How did you get that Sabrina?"

Sabrina - "Remember the pair of grunt you scared off back near Floaroma Meadow? Well Bijou noticed that they dropped the key in their haste to get away. Then she handed it to me to hold on to for the time being."

Twilight - "Good thing she did then. Saves us the hassle of having to return to town for it."

Michael then took the key from Sabrina and used it to unlock the door. This let the party finally enter the Valley Windworks.

Team Galactic Grunt - "What?! No way! You brats have the key? Locking the door was meaningless! I'm the loser in this after all! This is no time for self-pity! I've got to alert the Commander!"

The grunt then ran off, heading deeper into the Windworks.

Roxanne - "Ok so what do we do here?"

Michael - "Due to you and Sabrina having half a team on each of you, you two are gonna team up against the grunt. Twilight and Kronii, you both can each take care of a number of grunts on your own, right?"

Twilight - "Of course. Then that just leads the boss for you."

Michael - "Correct. Now let's move and save Annebelle's papa."

Girls - "Right!"

As the group of five made their way through the Valley Windworks, the girls split off to take care of the grunts. Soon Michael arrived in front of the boss, a red-haired woman, ordering the grunts around.

Michael - "I take it you're Team Galactic's Commander around here?"

The woman turns towards Michael.

? - "I am. In fact, I'm one of Team Galactic's four Commanders. My name is Mars! We've been trying to create a new world that's better than this one… But people have shown little understanding about what we do. You don't understand either, do you? It's a little saddening…"

Michael - "Oh is that now? Well then Mars. Let's have a battle to decide what happens next."

Mars - "Agreed. If I win, you leave. But if you win, then we, Team Galactic, will leave instead!"

Michael - "Deal. But remember this my dear Mars. You're battling…Against The Trainer That Your Boss Nearly Had Killed!"

Mars and the elderly man to her right watched in pure shock as Michael transformed in front of them. But while the elderly man was freaking out of his mind, Mars felt something stirring in her chest.

? - "Just who is this brat?!"

Mars - "He… He's handsome!"

Mars then quickly shook off her feelings and focused on the battle in front of her.

Mars - "G-Go Crobat!"

Michael - "Delcatty I choose you!"

Michael then activated his Battle Disk, which caused an aura to surround Mars' Crobat."

Mars' Crobat: Attack +1, Defense +1, Sp. Attack +1, Sp. Defense +1, Speed +1

Michael's Hand: 5 + 1 = 6

Mars - "Poison Crunch Cutter!"

Michael - "Special Sword! Shadow Thunder Ice!"

Michael's Hand: 6 - 1 = 5

Poison Fang's Current Power: 50 + 25 (STAB) = 75 + 15 (Poison Barb) = 90

Air Cutter's Current Power: 60 + 30 (STAB) = 90

Mars - "Crobat return. Go Purugly!"

Michael - "Can you keep going Delcatty?"

Delcatty - "Of course.~"

Match #2: Delcatty (Wise Glasses) Vs. Purugly (Muscle Band)

Michael's Hand: 5 + 1 = 6

Special Sword: Turn 2/3

Purugly: Attack +1, Defense +1, Sp. Attack +1, Sp. Defense +1, Speed +1

Michael - "Lady Arceus, hear my plea! Let my bond with Delcatty bring forth the birth of a new power! Go, Mega Soul Evolution! Appear, Mega Soul Delcatty!"

Mars - "Aerial Shadow Slash!"

Michael - "Auto-Charge! Mega Soul Solar Thunder Ice!"

Michael's Hand: 6 - 1 = 5

Auto-Charge: Activated

Aerial Ace's Current Power: 60 + 12 (Muscle Band) = 72

Shadow Claw's Current Power: 70 + 14 (Muscle Band) = 84

Slash's Current Power: 70 + 35 (STAB) = 105 + 21 (Muscle Band) = 126

Aerial Shadow Slash's Current Power: 72 + 84 = 156 + 126 = 282 x 2 (Type Advantage) = 564

Mars fell to her knees in utter defeat as Mega Soul Delcatty outright wrecked her Purugly.

Mars - "This can't be?! I lost?! You…You uppity brat!"

Mars' Remaining Pokémon: 1 - 1 = 0

(Music Ends)

Mars silently returned her Purugly.

Mars - "Oops! I messed that one up! That's all right, though. I quite enjoyed our battle."

The elderly man, named Charon, then spoke to Mars.

Charon - "My, my. Lose to a child, will you? But, no matter. We've collected plenty of electricity. With the power we've obtained, we can do something quite spectacular. It seems quite obvious to me, Charon, the genius even the boss recognizes. Now, Mars, we should be going."

Mars suddenly turned on Charon.

Mars - "Will you shut it! The boss is the only person in the world who's allowed to order me around! You can keep quiet around me! You only joined us recently. Don't think you're important!"

She then turned back to Michael.

Mars - "I guess it's time to say good-bye and leave for the time being!"

As Mars and Charon were going to leave, Michael quickly stopped them.

Michael - "Quick question before you both leave. Your boss. Tell me, his name wouldn't happen to be Cyrus, would it?"

Michael watched as Mars and Charon's eyes went wide.

Mars - "And just how do you know his name?"

Michael walked over and wrapped an arm around Mars' neck as the rest of the girls appeared.

Michael - "Don't tell me you've suddenly forgotten what I said when our battle started?'

Mars then suddenly remembered what Michael had said.

Michael - "You're battling…Against The Trainer That Your Boss Nearly Had Killed!"

Michael - "A beautiful lady like you doesn't belong in Team Galactic Mars. And as far as I'm concerned, whatever Cyrus has planned, he'll drag you all down with him if it fails."

Mars blushed a bit at being called beautiful. She then slowly backed away from Michael.

Mars - "I assure you that I know what I'm doing. Come along Charon. We're leaving."

Michael then moved out of the way, letting Mars and Charon lead their group of grunts out of the Valley Windworks. Twilight, Roxanne, Sabrina, and Kronii then walked over to Michael as he and Delcatty returned to normal.

Roxanne - "You and Delcatty ok there Michael?"

Michael - "We're fine Roxanne. Sorry if we worried you all."

Sabrina - "Did you mean what you said to Mars?"

Michael - "Did I make you girls jealous?"

The girls faces went bright red as Michael chuckled at their expense.

Michael - "I'm teasing. I'm teasing."

His face then turned serious.

Michael - "But as for everything else, I completely meant it. Mars is making a grave mistake if she continues to blindly follow Cyrus' orders."

Twilight - "She was completely shocked that you knew her boss' name. Also, didn't what you say tied into what happened to you before your 10th birthday?"

Sabrina, Kronii, and Roxanne were stunned at what they just heard.

Kronii - "It is. But I won't explain fully till EVERYONE'S with us. Can you all wait till then?"

Roxanne - "Of course Michael. And you just take your time explaining too. We're all here for you."

Michael - "Thank you. That means a lot."

? - "Excuse me?"

Michael and the girls then turned their attention to the man in the lab coat behind them.

Michael - "Oh our most sincere apologies there sir."

? - "Oh no you kids are ok. I just want to ruin the moment you all were having."

Roxanne - "Thank you for your concern sir. Are you the man in charge here?"

? - "I am. Name's Gabriel. I'm guessing you kids were asked by my daughter to rescue me?"

Twilight - "That we were. Now we can take you back to Floaroma Town and show her that you're safe and sound."

Gabriel - "But still though. Team Galactic… They were saying they had to gather Pokémon and energy no matter what. It was for creating a new universe, or so they claimed. Nothing they said made any sort of sense to me. I can't tell you all how grateful I am for you saving me. I can finally see my little daughter again!"

Annebelle then appeared and hugged her papa.

Annebelle - "Papa!"

Annebelle then scrunched her nose.

Annebelle - "Yuck! Papa, you're stinky! Go shower now, stinky!"

Michael and the girls burst out laughing at Gabriel being told off by his own daughter.

Gabriel - "Oh, sorry! Ahaha! They had me working nonstop!"

Annebelle - "Thank you, Trainers! You made those bad people go away! I think the balloon Pokémon will come visiting again!"

Gabriel - "Oh, yes, a balloon Pokémon appears in front of the Windworks. It's always a certain day of the week, but I'm not sure which day it is. Could its appearance have something to do with this Windworks using wind-generated energy?"

Michael - "Ah you must be talking about Drifloon then."

Gabriel - "So that's the Pokémon's name then."

Twilight - "Anyway we better get going. You both take care now."

Michael and the girls then left the Valley Windworks. As they were about to return to Floaroma Town, they spotted Looker in front of them.

Looker - "Ah, yes. It's you, yes."

Michael - "Hello there Looker. Been a good while since I last saw you. And if you're looking for Team Galactic, you just missed them."

Looker - "Yes. Where are they?'

Twilight - "We actually just ran them off from here."

Looker - "You all are just Trainer, but…? Very well~ I shall go investigate inside!"

Looker then quickly enters the Valley Windworks. After a few moments, Looker walks back outside.

Looker - "Magnificent! Yes, it is! What you have said, it's all true! Superb! Through you all are young, you all are Trainers through and through! Very well! I shall pursue the culprits! I have received tips that Team Galactic has a hideout in Eterna City. To there, I must be off!"

With that, Looker dashed off for Eterna City. Michael and the girls sweat dropped as Looker disappeared.

Twilight - "Something tells me we'll take down Team Galactic at Eterna City before he can do anything."

Michael - "Anyway. It's getting late. So let's sleep in Floaroma Town for the night, then make our way for Eterna City in the morning."

Girls - "Yes sir."

As they began making their way back, Michael caught a Drifloon, Buizel, and Pachirisu and sent them all home. The mini party then returned to the Pokémon Center and informed the other on what they were planning for the next leg of their journey. After eating dinner, they went to bed to be ready for tomorrow.
