This chapter, I didn't properly spell the word about in the chapter heading. But it's still chapter 5.
One day, Nightmare was sunning herself while the kids played in the water at the lake for some much needed rest when Fred asked her,"What's a beastformer doing with the Autobots Nightmare?"
The wolf raised her head and replied saying,"Well Fred, to be honest, my mentor, Shadow had to make sure that I survived while the rest of the pack were being taken out by Megatron and his decepticons. But than Boris went back home to Cybertron after we got here because he felt better there than here. But, back to your question, I think it was more like seeing a need and filling it when I joined the Autobots. But I know the proper term for me is Maximal."
The kids and the Mini-cons were ready to head back to base when she offered them a chance to ride on her back and they all agreed. She started walking when she stopped and put her nose to the wind and flicked her ears and found what she was hoping was just the wind, but another mini-con.
Back at the base, she set the sleeping mini-con with the others when it woke up. She knew it was Lighting just by how the meerkat mini-con moved right over her hind right leg and curled up beneath her mane.
She snorted in mild amusement while she settled down herself thinking,"Well, at least now I have Lighting here to help with my savage attacks in boosting them at least."
She settled down while placing her head between her fore paws and dozed off while her ears were laid back and Lighting curled beneath her mane.
After a while, Nightmare woke up, stood and stretched out. Starting with her forelegs and arching her back a bit as she finished with her hind legs while Lighting did run along her back a bunch of times.
She went to the command center and let Red Alert know that she was headed out for a run.
