Chapter 3: Fire and Ice
Hey everyone I'm here with a new chapter. I'm glad all of you enjoyed my latest chapter. I know many of you were curious about who the first group Roxas found was, you'll find out soon and I think you'll be surprised who I chose. I'd like to thank my buddy kival737101 for helping give me this idea. Sorry I haven't updated anything in a while, I've been a little busy and worn out lately with life so I decided to also give you all a special treat with the first official story opening. (Instrumental) Floating in front of the screen in glowing letters we see a message.
"HEARTS ARE MADE OF THE PEOPLE WE MEET AND HOW WE FEEL ABOUT THEM. THEY'RE WHAT TIES US TOGETHER EVEN WHEN WE'RE APART." Sora's voice echoed before light began to shine followed by vocals.
(Wonk uoy naht noitceffa erom deen I) We see 3 different scenarios playing simultaneously. We see Sora, Kairi, and Riku sitting on the beach at Destiny Islands in one. Roxas, Xion, and Lea were eating ice cream in Twilight Town. And Terra, Ventus, and Aqua were sitting together in Land of Departure, all three scenarios had them watching the sunset with smiles on their faces. As the music intensifies all of them look at each other and together all of them jump.
(In you and I there's a new land Angels in flight wonk uoy naht noitceffa erom deen I My sanctuary, my sanctuary, yeah Where fears and lies melt away) Appearing in the Keyblade Graveyard alongside Mickey, Donald, and Goofy with keyblades in arms all of them looked to see Xehanort and his Vessels glaring at them with equally determined looks.
Charging forward the groups clashed. Lunging forward Riku clashed with Ansem Seeker of Darkness, Lea clashed with Isa, Ventus clashed with Vanitas, Braig fired multiple arrows at Terra who raised his keyblade deflecting all the attacks, Xion clashed with Data Riku, Kairi fought off Luxord, Aqua clashed with Young Xehanort. As Larxene and Marulxia hurled flowers and lightning Mickey, Donald, and Goofy repelled the attack creating an explosion. From the smoke, Roxas leaps through it and clashes blades with Xemnas.
(Music will tie wonk uoy naht noitceffa erom deen I What's left of me what's left of me now) With a clear path to Xehanort, Sora raced ahead. Summoning the X-Blade, Xehanort swings it clashing with Sora creating a bright light.
(I watch you fast asleep All I fear means nothing In you and I there's a new land Angels in flight wonk uoy naht noitceffa erom deen I My sanctuary my sanctuary yeah) As the scene changes to Destiny Islands, we see Sora fading away as Kairi sheds a tear. Seeing that he was gone, everyone else looked up at the sky before Riku, Kairi, Mickey, Donald, and Goofy walked away.
(Where fears and lies melt away Music will tiewonk uoy naht noitceffa erom deen IWhat's left of me what's left of me) Turning around Roxas, Lea, Isa, Xion, Terra, Aqua, and Ventus look to see Yen Sid standing across from them. Holding out his hands Roxas sees an orb of light.
(snwod dna spu ynam os My heart's a battleground snoitome eurt deen I wonk uoy naht noitceffa erom deen I snoitome eurt deen I) Looking into the orb, we see Ruby charging forward slashing various Beowulf Grimm to pieces when Yang leaps in and punches a Bringel away.
Behind her Blake fired multiple bullets at a Lancer Grimm when Weiss moves in and slashes it to pieces. As Shadow Heartless suddenly show up Jaune, Ren, and Oscar appear and slash them into shadows when Nora drops in from above and smashes lightning down on the ground creating an explosion. When the smoke died down, they all saw Emerald, Penny, and Winter gesturing for them to follow.
(You show me how to see That nothing is whole and nothing is broken In you and I there's a new land) Suddenly looking atop the rooftops they saw Salem, Cinder, Mercury, Arthur Watts, and a figure in an Organization XIII coat looking down at them. They were about to react when suddenly under them the ground began to envelop them in darkness.
(Angels in flight wonk uoy naht noitceffa erom deen I My sanctuary my sanctuary yeah Where fears and lies melt away) As they struggled to escape the Huntsmen and Huntresses look up to see an evil grin on Salem's face before the darkness covered the entire screen.
(Music will tie wonk uoy naht noitceffa erom deen I What's left of me what's left of me now) As TEAM RWBY falls backward supposedly drowning in the darkness unable to escape.
(My fears my lies Melt away) Suddenly a hand grabs Ruby's hand causing her eyes to open and they are all pulled out of the darkness.
As the scene changes, the citizens of Remanent find themselves in front of the Twilight Manor as Yen Sid, Roxas, Xion, Lea, Isa, Terra, Aqua, and Ven looked down at them with neutral expressions until Roxas slowly stepped forward and held out his hand as his face changed to a smile.
(wonk uoy naht noitceffa erom deen I) Smiling back they reached out and took it. As the music faded away several images of worlds appeared around them making the Huntsmen confused at first when they all looked up to the sky to see the shadow of a large gummi ship flying through the air and into the sunset.

It was morning in Twilight Town and the residents from Remnant were still getting used to waking up in warm beds without dealing with any of their earlier drama.
Downstairs we see 4 Organization coats hanging on the wall as Lea sits on a couch eating a bowl of cereal wearing a black hooded vest with a dark grey short-sleeved plaid shirt underneath, black jeans, and boots on his feet.
Looking over he saw Winter walking back and forth around the room.
"You wanna take it easy? You keep walking and make a rut in the middle of the floor." Lea said.
"Sorry, I'm just trying to figure things out," Winter said stopping in her tracks.
"You act like we're about to go to war," Lea said eating a spoonful.
"Aren't we?" Winter asks.
"Ehh it varies on the timeline but there's breathing room," Lea said shaking his hand back and forth.
"Why aren't you eating in the kitchen?" Winter asks.
"The kitchen table is on the floor in pieces." Lea gestures.
"Why is that?" Winter asks.
"The group Roxas found made a reckless first impression and the table was a casualty." Lea jokes.
"I see," Winter said.
"Listen we promised we'd explain everything later. So just sit down, eat something, and let us take care of our side of the deal." Lea gestures.
"Fine." Making her way into the kitchen, Winter sees Isa wearing a black tracksuit and jeans pouring himself a glass of juice as Saphron, Adrian, Nora, and Oscar sit across from him on barstools.
"So Isa, what is there to do here?" Saphron asks.
"If you want, we can arrange things for you and your family to have a home all to yourselves if you don't want to stay here," Isa said sipping his drink. "But there's plenty if you're eager to live a normal life."
"You can do that here?" Oscar asks as Isa nods his head.
"I guess if this is going to be our new home we might need jobs and a way to make a living." Saphron realized.
Behind them we see Ren, Jaune, and Terra walking over holding plates of pancakes.
"Breakfast is ready." Jaune declares.
"Ooh." Ora grinned happily as Ren placed a stack in front of her.
In another part of the mansion, we see Penny, Pietro, Weiss, Yang, and Ruby with Xion who was wearing a mini black-collared and black-belted shirt-dress with short ruffled sleeves, short white pleated skirt, and black ankle-length boots.
"So you were a robot?" Xion asks curious.
"Well until my friends made me a new body without the virus in it," Penny said.
"I have to say you girls did a good job making sure they did a good job with her," Pietro said.
"Believe me, it was not easy," Ruby said.
"I had to make sure I got Penny's schematics exactly right." Weiss nods.
"We couldn't leave any loose ends," Yang said.
"So…that means you're learning how to figure out human stuff like emotions and other things that you normally didn't understand?" Xion asks.
"Something like that." Penny nods.
"Still I hope it's not too weird for you guys to have a girl who's basically learning how to act like a human being," Ruby said but Xion just giggled and shook her head softly.
"Trust me, that's the last thing you have to worry about." Xion smiles confusing them. Walking up to her, Xion patted Penny on the shoulder. "You're going to fit in just fine, Penny. But if you need help, don't hesitate to ask."
"Oh goodie." Penny smiles.
"Is she messing with us?" Yang whispers to her teammates.
"I don't know," Ruby admits.
"I think she means it," Weiss said curious about what this new group was all about.
Suddenly the door opened revealing Blake.
"Hey guys, Ren said breakfast is ready. You might want to come before Nora eats everything." Blake warns.
"I could eat," Ruby said.
"Ooh breakfast food. I wonder how this will taste?" Penny said intrigued.
"I have to say, it's been a while since we were able to take our time and have a nice meal," Pietro said following them.
"Yeah it's taking some getting used to," Yang admits as they make their way to the kitchen to grab food.
Looking around they noticed two people were missing.
"Hey where's Roxas and Emerald?" Weiss asks.
Down the hall, Emerald was making her way down with a towel hanging on her shoulder.
"Oh man, it's been a while since I've gotten to sleep on a warm bed and have a hot shower. I could get used to this life." Emerald chuckles.
"Oh, you're settling in? That's great." A familiar voice said nearby.
Curious, Emerald follows it to see Roxas standing in the backyard talking on his Gummi phone. Like everyone else he was wearing his casual clothes as well which consisted of a black jacket with a red collar and checkerboard sleeves, a black t-shirt with a necklace around his neck that resembled an X, a checkerboard bracelet on his left arm, black pants with red outlines on the pockets and black shoes.
"How about the others?" Roxas asks as someone responds. "I know it's gonna take a while. Don't worry."
'Is this that other group he mentioned earlier?' Emerald thought.
"I'm gonna check on them soon. I'm going to see Yen Sid today and check on their progress. I recently came across something that might help them out." Roxas answers before chuckling. "Yes, I'll be sure to tell her. Don't worry. Sure, I'll come too when you guys get everything finished."
As he hung up, Roxas took a deep breath.
"What do we have here?" Turning around Roxas saw Emerald leaning against the wall. "More secrets?"
"Believe it or not some people in my last group chose a second chance at a new life," Roxas said.
"Really? What does that entitle?" Emerald asks.
"New home, jobs, and in the case of one little girl, a chance to make friends and grow up," Roxas said.
"Wow, so this is legit," Emerald said impressed.
"It's a work in progress," Roxas said noticing Emerald staring at him. "What? What is it?"
"Why do you and your friends wear those big coats? Covers up quite a bit." Emerald said gesturing to his body.
"They have their uses," Roxas said.
"Still isn't it hard to move around in those things?" Emerald asks.
"I could say the same for some of you guys. I mean Jaune walks around with a giant chest plate, that can't be easy." Roxas counters making her smirk.
"Touche. So when are you gonna take us to meet your boss?" Emerald asks as Roxas walks past her.
"You guys sure are curious," Roxas said.
"You leave a lot to be curious over," Emerald said walking alongside him.
"Don't worry we'll go after everyone has eaten. There's one answer right there." Roxas said turning to her. "I hate not getting answers too. I'm not going to leave you all clueless."
"Nice to know," Emerald said as Roxas walked ahead.
After they finished breakfast, Roxas, Xion, Lea, and Isa grabbed their Organization coats as they all made their way to the train station. While Pietro, Saphron, and Terra had chosen to stay behind everyone else was curious to see where they were taking them.
Approaching the tracks, the Huntsmen were on the lookout.
"Which train is ours?" Ruby asks looking at all the trains.
"That one." Roxas points.
Looking to the very end they saw a blue funky-looking train with star-shaped windows and a pointy blue hat with stars and moons on it.
"Well…that's unique." Winter raises an eyebrow.
"What do you call it? The Star Train?" Yang snickers.
"Actually, it's called the Ghost Train." Xion corrects making Yang stop laughing.
"Ghost Train?" Nora gulps not liking that.
"Don't worry, it's just a town rumor. The only reason they call it that is because it has no conductor or any passengers." Isa assures.
"Yeah it only comes for us," Lea said climbing aboard first. "Well? You guys just gonna stand there or are you gonna get on?"
"Trust us," Roxas assures as Isa and Xion get on next with Roxas following after.
Glancing at everyone Weiss saw they were unsure. "Well, I trust them." She said making her way on first.
"I mean compared to everything else is an empty train that bad?" Ruby shrugs before following in.
Slowly but surely everyone else followed them in, and they took a seat.
As the train started up, all of them looked out the windows to see bright flashing lights go off.
"Hey what's all this?" Jaune asks as everyone looks around confused.
Suddenly the light engulfed the train and an aurora borealis outside as the train was now on a glowing track.
"What the?" Emerald said amazed and confused.
"Beautiful." Penny smiles admiring the lights.
"Where is this taking us? Where's Twilight Town?" Nora asks.
"We left it, you see this train can travel Twilight Town and another world," Xion explains.
"Another world? That's ridiculous." Winter said denying this.
"Call it what you will but that's what's happening," Isa said.
Seeing that they had some time, Yang turns to them.
"So what exactly is your guy's deal? How do you handle all this stuff so casually?" Yang asks.
"We're just used to it." Roxas shrugs.
"Not really a helpful answer," Yang said hoping for more detail.
"But since we're asking questions why don't you guys tell us a bit about yourselves," Xion said.
"What do you want to know?" Blake asks.
"Just tell us anything. What were your lives like before Roxas found you?" Lea asks.
"Well, we come from a world called Remnant. And before we ended up in Twilight Town, we were Huntsmen and Huntresses. Elite warriors committed to slaying Grimm and upholding the peace." Jaune starts.
Throughout the ride, the 4 of them heard various facts about their lives.
"So you guys went to this school for roughly a year before it was destroyed." Isa summarizes.
"Yep." Ren nods.
"And you thought that was enough to prepare you for the challenges of the real world?" Isa raises an eyebrow.
"Well…we did pretty good at first," Ruby said rubbing the back of her head.
"You were lucky. No way 1 year is equivalent to 4 years of lessons and preparation." Winter said.
"So after briefly going your separate ways you all eventually reunited after another year or two…well if it time is all that matters you're about 3 years in, so one more, and Winter can't say that anymore," Roxas said making TEAM RWBY and JNPR chuckle.
"I have a question. How did you end up with these team names?" Xion asks.
"It happens after we pass our school exam. They use the first letter of your first or last name of 4 members and make a team. Our team name is RWBY because of Ruby, myself, Blake, and Yang." Weiss starts.
"And our team is JNPR," Nora said gesturing to her, Ren, and Jaune.
"So what about you guys?" Lea asks pointing to Emerald, Oscar, Winter, and Penny.
"I'm a general, I'm not a part of any team," Winter responds.
"And we're not students," Oscar said.
"Well, I was briefly but it wasn't official," Emerald admits.
"Do all Huntsmen have cool weapons like yours?" Roxas asks.
"We have to make them ourselves. But yeah most do." Blake nods.
"What about you guys? How did you make your weapons?" Jaune asks.
"We technically didn't. They make themselves as we improve our abilities." Roxas said.
"That or we have the little guy make upgrades," Lea adds.
"Little guy?" Emerald raises an eyebrow.
"We're here." Isa declares as the train begins to slow down.
Eventually, the train came to a stop. As the doors opened, they found themselves in front of a large mysterious tower.
"Your boss lives there?" Ren raises an eyebrow.
"I wouldn't go that far, but he helps us make sure that light and darkness remain in balance. If anyone can help you guys it's him." Roxas assures.
As they got off the train a bright light engulfed it and the train disappeared.
"There goes our ride," Jaune said nervously.
Making their way inside and up the stairs, they enter a room to see an elderly man in blue robes, a long beard, and a pointy blue hat on his head. This was Yen Sid.
"It's rare to see the 4 of you here together." Yen Sid acknowledges.
"Sorry about the sudden visit, but I found some more people who wanted to talk to you." Roxas gestures to the door where everyone was waiting on the other side.
"He messed up trying to ease them into it again." Lea snickers.
"Oh, thanks." Roxas deadpans making Lea and Xion snicker.
"Bring them in." Yen Sid gestures as Isa opens the door.
When they walked in, Yang and Nora couldn't help but snicker softly at his appearance but Yen Sid didn't pay them much attention.
"My Roxas, you seem to find more stragglers than everyone else." Yen Sid points out.
"Their world recently was engulfed by darkness and they want to find their families," Roxas informs.
"Hmm." Pausing Yen Sid strokes his beard. "This might be difficult."
"Can you find them?" Yang asks.
"Finding them is one thing, I'm sure with enough time we can locate everyone you're missing but unfortunately I cannot at the moment." Yen Sid informs.
"What? Our friends, families, our loved ones are lost who knows where and you can't help us find them?" Blake asks.
"I want to help you but the problem is we don't have enough numbers. To keep the darkness from consuming any more worlds a keyblade wielder needs to seal the keyhole and unfortunately, I only have 6 Keyblade Wielders available. Soon enough I'll have to send Lea, Roxas, Xion, and Isa back out into the field when more worlds become in danger." Yen Sid explains.
"Not to mention quite a few worlds have become so challenging that they require more than one of us to seal," Isa adds.
"Why do you have so few?" Winter asks.
"A keyblade is a very powerful weapon, but it's also very picky with its wielders." Lea answers.
"What do you mean by that?" Oscar asks.
"Watch." Roxas summons Oathkeeper and holds it out for them to take. "One of you take it from me."
At first, everyone was unsure if this was a trick until Nora stepped forward.
Reaching out, she held the keyblade in her hands.
"Ooh, this is kinda cool, but it's not a hammer," Nora said examining it when suddenly the keyblade vanished out of Nora's hand and reappeared in Roxas' hand. "Aww." She frowns.
"So that's what you mean by picky." Emerald groans now realizing she could never get one.
"Yep. We had more but…something happened." Xion admits.
"What happened?" Weiss asks.
"War happened." Yen Sid declares getting their attention. "A battle between light and darkness to determine the fate of all the worlds. The 7 Lights vs Xehanort and his 13 Vessels Darkness."
"Xehanort?" Blake raises her eyebrows never hearing that name before.
"And…you guys won?" Jaune asks hopefully he is right.
"We did, but our best fighter Sora disappeared at the cost of our victory. And many of our allies are out in search of him to bring him home." Yen Sid said.
"But wait if you guys won the battle, then why was our world consumed by Heartless?" Oscar asks.
"We don't know. Lately, Heartless and other forms of darkness have been on the rise since Sora's disappearance. When more worlds began being consumed I summoned these 4 along with others to help save worlds as well as help any stragglers." Yen Sid explains. "I don't know how yet, but we will figure out a way to find them."
"But what if we helped?" Ruby asks stepping forward. "I mean none of us have a keyblade but if we can provide backup we can help you guys seal the keyholes, stop the Heartless, and find more of our loved ones."
Pausing Yen Sid strokes his beard.
"Mmm Roxas." Yen Sid glanced at him. "Are they any good?"
"I think so," Roxas said stepping forward. "I think we should at least give them a chance to see if they can handle it. You said it yourself; we need more help and they want to help."
"He's right. We do." Nora nods.
"Please sir, at least them a chance," Roxas suggests.
Closing his eyes for a few seconds, Yen Sid ponders the idea before taking a deep breath and opening his eyes.
"Very well, I suppose we can train them. See if they can handle themselves. But understand, they will be your responsibility. It'll be up to all of you to make sure they are ready." Yen Sid advises.
"I understand," Roxas said before turning to his new friends. "So what do you say? You guys want to learn to fight Heartless?"
As Ruby looks to Yang, Weiss, and Blake the three of them nod.
"Team RWBY's in." Ruby declares as Jaune glances at his teammates.
"Well?" Jaune asks.
"Do you even have to ask?" Nora grins.
"Count me in too." Ren nods.
"I'm not leaving this group yet. Not after I went through all the trouble of joining." Emerald said.
"I'll do my best." Oscar nods.
"Ooh, goody. New adventures." Penny claps her hands excitedly.
Winter looking at them, just nods her head saying she was in.
"I'll be checking in on their progress." Yen Sid snaps his fingers and a portal opens up. "Oh and Roxas, look into the others as well."
Nodding Roxas didn't mind that.
"Oh, we finally get to meet the people you saved before us?" Yang smirks interested.
"Sorta. These guys like you wanted to join shortly after I helped them and when I brought them here Yen Sid put them through the same test you guys want." Roxas said.
"How are they doing?" Ruby asks.
"We'll find out soon. Although after seeing your weapons I might have some ideas on how to help them get better." Roxas said as they walked through the portal.
When they came out the other side, they found themselves in a large lush forest-like area around them with tall cliffs, lakes, and open plains. In the middle of one open area was a large tiled floor like an arena.
"Whoa, this place is kinda cool," Yang admits.
"And for the next few weeks, this will be where you'll be training until Yen Sid sees if you're ready or not." Isa informs.
"Aw, man. We're leaving nice beds for this again?" Emerald groans.
"Don't worry, you'll be able to eat and sleep here just fine," Xion assures.
"Now for us to train you, we're gonna need to know what we're working with," Lea said turning to them. "Roxas said you guys handled yourself well around some Heartless so how about we see what you're capable of with a test?"
"But we have almost 3 times your numbers, doesn't seem fair." Ren points out.
"Numbers hardly matter. Often you'll be the ones outnumbered by Heartless. But in some cases, you'll have to use your numbers to your advantage." Isa explains.
"But if you're insistent, how about a volunteer? One of you against one of us?" Lea suggests.
"I guess that's fair." Blake nods.
"You guys choose amongst yourselves. I'll be right back." Roxas said walking away.
Curious Weiss watched as Roxas headed into the forest.
As Roxas made his way down the path, a figure was hiding in the treetops and spotted him.
Narrowing his eyes a figure took out a large gun.
"Gotcha." He said before pulling the trigger and firing.
However, Roxas summoned Oblivion and blocked the attack much to the figure's shock.
Grunting Roxas threw his keyblade knocking the figure out of the tree.
As the figure fell Roxas was about to move in when someone raced in from nearby.
Turning around, Roxas saw a katana being swung at him.
Summoning Oathkeeper he blocks it to see he is in a lock with a beautiful girl with long purple hair, a white long-sleeve shirt, and a green skirt.
Pushing her back, Roxas and the girl clashed blades as she tried to overpower him.
Looking at her we could see a fury in her eyes like she wanted to win this no matter what.
Attempting a feint she moves towards the left only for the sword to come in from the other way.
However, Roxas saw this and summoned Oblivion back to his hand and swung upwards knocking the katana out of her hand making the girl gasp only to be met with a kick to the chest.
Falling back she crashes next to the other figure who as Roxas approaches them sees it was an overweight teenage boy with spiky black hair and glasses. These were Kohta Hirano and Saeko Busujima.
"Not bad guys. That was a pretty good sneak attack." Roxas smiled as both groaned.
"Did we at least surprise you? We've been working on our quick attacks." Kohta asks.
"You know I was almost close to being surprised this time, Kohta." Roxas smiles helping them up.
"Awww, what gave me away?" Kohta groans.
"You went fishing earlier, didn't you?" Roxas hints gesturing to his nose.
Eyes widening Kohta sniffs himself and groans. "Ugh, dangit."
"Be happy Heartless don't have a sense of smell." Saeko rolls her eyes. "What about me?"
"You're getting stronger Saeko. A few more rounds and you might actually beat me." Roxas said making her smile.
"Where have you been?" Kohta asks.
"Sorry, I got pulled away. Where are the others? I got some things to share." Roxas asks.
"Close by," Saeko said leading him to a small clearing.
There we see 5 other people. A teenage boy with spiky black hair wearing a black jacket with a red shirt under, and black pants was sitting next to a teenage girl with long brown hair, red eyes, and an outfit similar to Saeko as they were being looked at by an adult woman with long blonde hair, a large chest, wearing a blue turtleneck and red pants.
These were Takeshi Komuro, Rei Miyamoto, and Shizuka Marikawa.
"Alright that should do it," Shizuka said wrapping a bandage around Takashi's hand before examining Rei.
Across from them, we see an adult woman with tanned skin, and purple hair wearing black leather combat gear adjusting her weapon. This was Rika Minami.
Nearby we see a teenage girl with long pink hair in pigtails and glasses looking at various books before holding out her hands. This was Saya Tagaki.
"Come on. Come on." She growls but nothing happens.
"Still struggling huh?" Roxas calls out getting their attention.
"Roxas." Takeshi smiles as everyone looks over.
"Back so soon huh?" Saya narrows her eyes annoyed.
"Nice to see you too." Roxas rolls his eyes. "Come on get up. We're going somewhere."
"Where?" Saya asks.
"To meet some new friends." Roxas simply states. "I found another group and like you guys they want to help."
"Seriously? More?" Rei said not expecting this.
"Are they from our world?" Rei asks.
"No definitely not. These guys come from somewhere else. They ended up in Twilight Town and I brought them here." Roxas explains.
"Is Alice doing okay?" Takeshi asks in a worried tone.
"She's fine. She and the dog are doing just fine with your families. Oh, that reminds me." Roxas said before turning to Saya. "Saya, your mom called me this morning. She wanted me to tell you that they've almost finished moving in and they want you all to come back for the opening of their new business. All of you." Roxas gestures.
"Ugh. Even in a new world, I have to be there for their businesses?" Saya whines.
"Ooh, an opening party. That sounds like fun." Shizuka smiles at the idea of having fun.
"I don't know," Takeshi said.
"I would love to go. See Mrs. Tagaki again." Kohta sighs.
"Don't even think about it." Saya glares.
"You guys need to work on relaxing. My other group has that same problem." Roxas said.
"Sorry Roxas, but relaxing is not something we've been familiar with in a while," Takeshi said.
"I can't even remember the last time I had a day off," Rikka admits.
"I figured you guys might say that so that's why I want you all to come. My new friends have some cool gear that might interest you." Roxas said getting their attention. "If you want to see, follow me." Turning around walking away.
"What do you think he means by that?" Saeko asks.
"I hope it's a new gun." Kohta grins following after him.
"I hope not. I don't want to carry any more weapons." Shizuka frowns.
"Come on, Roxas doesn't seem like the guy who would lie. Not after everything he's done for us." Takeshi said as everyone else paused.
"I guess you make a good point," Rei admits.
"If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't be here," Saeko said as they remembered the day this mysterious person in a black coat came into their lives.
Flashback:
We find ourselves on Destiny Islands in the dead of night when suddenly the sounds of a gunshot go off.
Zooming in, we see Shizuka holding a little girl with pink hair, and purple eyes and wearing a small dress. This was Alice Mareseto.
"Stay behind us, Alice," Kohta said firing his gun at over 3 dozen Zombies with Heartless logos on their chests and darkness emitting from them. Nearby we see Saya and Rei helping an injured Takashi and Saeko.
Looking at them we see both had bite wounds on them.
"Hang in there Takeshi!" Rei pleads with fear in her eyes.
"They got us." Saeko cringes. "Just end this please."
"We're not killing you," Rikka said firing a machine gun and shooting 3 Zombine Heartless making darkness erupt from 1 of them as it disappeared but the other two were still moving. "What is going on with them?"
As the Zombie Heartless closed in the group didn't know how they were gonna make it out of this.
"Someone! Anyone! Help!" Alice screams when suddenly a fireball shoots in front of the Zombie Heartless making a wall of flames stopping them in their tracks.
Confused a figure drops down and lands across from them.
As lightning flashed we see it was Roxas wearing his coat with his hood over his head.
"Are you guys alright?" Roxas asks concerned before noticing the wounds.
"Listen you have to get away. Our friends are about to become zombies." Kohta warns.
Turning to them and takes out two small golden bottles.
"Both of you, drink every drop of these. And fast." Roxas warns.
"What is this?" Rei asks.
"If you want them to heal, do it." Roxas orders before turning to the zombie heartless.
"Are you insane?! What are you doing?!" Saya asks.
Instead of answering, Roxas held out his hands and summoned Oathkeeper and Oblivion as the Zombie Heartless attacked him.
Swinging his keyblades, Roxas slashes them away with ease preventing them from even getting close.
Seeing his skills, Saeko couldn't help but be amazed having never seen a sword like that before.
They had no idea who he was or where he came from but he was fighting to save them.
With limited options, Takeshi reaches out and grabs the bottle.
"Takashi what are you doing?" Rei gasps as he downs the whole thing in one gulp.
"You idiot! That could be poison!" Saya scolds but to their surprise a golden aura surrounds Takashi and his bite wound disappears.
"I-I feel all better now." Takashi smiles. "It's like I was never even hurt."
Surprised by this declaration, Saeko took her bottle and immediately drank the contents, and like with Takashi her wounds were completely healed and she no longer felt anything wrong. If anything she felt stronger than ever.
"Is this a cure for the virus?" Shizuka asks amazed.
As the Zombie Heartless surrounded Roxas, he leaps high into the air landing across from them on the docks.
When they followed after, Roxas threw both his keyblades breaking the support causing the dock to collapse and the Zombie Heartless to fall into the sea.
"Thundaga!" Roxas yells as a giant lightning bolt rained down zapping all the soaked Zombie Heartless electrocuting them until they all exploded into darkness.
"What the hell was that?!" Rei said startled.
As Roxas turns to them, the group has a nervous look on their face.
Slowly approaching them, they nervously held their breath until he reached up and pulled his hood down revealing his face.
"Is everyone okay?" Roxas asks concerned.
"Who are you?" Takeshi asks.
"The name's Roxas." He states.
"Well Roxas, where are we? What's going on?" Saeko asks making him cringe.
"It's uh long story," Roxas said preparing to tell someone the bad news for the first time.
Flashback End:
Needless to say, they didn't take the news well, but when Roxas learned their world was going through a Zombie Outbreak he felt they needed this second chance badly.
Eventually, he managed to find their families and most of them had set up a new home in Twilight Town.
Walking out of the forest, the group saw Winter and Lea standing across from each other.
"You guys chose Winter huh?" Roxas asks getting their attention.
"She seemed like the best option since she has the most experience," Weiss states before noticing the others. "Friends of yours?"
"Yeah. Guys, meet my first group. Everyone meet the second group." Roxas gestures.
"Whoa, what's with the outfits? Are you guys into cosplay?" Saya asks noticing how they are dressed.
"Cosplay?" Ruby raised an eyebrow.
"Whoa. What is that?" Kohta asks noticing her Crescent Rose.
"It's my weapon," Ruby said showing it to him.
"Whoa. Now I get what you meant earlier." Kohta said glancing at Roxas.
"What do you guys fight with?" Yang asks as they show their guns or in Saeko's case her sword. "Really? That's it?"
"Hey, we worked with what we had." Saya shrugs.
"I'm not really a fighter," Shizuka admits.
"Hey guys, the fight is about to start," Nora said excitedly.
"Go Lea! You got this!" Xion calls out.
Glancing at her, Weiss narrows her eyes.
"Take him down, Winter!" Weiss calls out.
"Do you actually plan on fighting me this time?" Winter asks drawing her sword.
"The only reason I didn't fight you last time was because you were a straggler and I pitied you. This time…" Holding out his hand Lea summons his keyblade. "I got nothing in my way this time."
"Take a good look, these are what our new teammates are capable of," Roxas informs as the match starts up.
Making the first move, Winter made a glyph appear and several ice birds came flying at him.
Smirking Lea took a stance. "Too easy." Swinging his keyblade Lea created a blade of fire destroying the birds with ease.
"Fire?" Winter pauses not expecting this.
"And here I thought you and I got off on the wrong foot because I was fun and you were a stick in the mud. But you and I are complete opposites." Lea taunts.
Lunging forward Lea threw his keyblade, raising her sword, Winter slashes it away sending it flying back into Lea's hands.
Charging forward the two clash swords sending sparks flying.
"Is this normal?" Saya asks looking at the people from Remanent.
"For our world it is." Blake shrugs as Takashi looks at Roxas.
"Hey don't look at me. When you first came to Twilight Town you guys spent hours asking me about zombies." Roxas points out.
"The way that one fights…she's from the military," Rikka said recognizing a fellow soldier.
Slamming his keyblade down pillars of fire shot out forcing Winter to dodge.
"Oh no you don't!" Switching out his keyblade for two chakrams, Lea throws them through the air.
Raising her sword, Winter managed to deflect one but the other smashed into her sending her tumbling back.
"Wow, Yang and I thought you knew how to bring the heat," Nora said glancing at her.
"I could take it, doesn't look so hot," Yang said making a heat pun.
Charging in, Lea swings his arms upwards to bring the chakrams down on her.
Separating her sword into two, Winter blocks both attacks forcing them into a lock.
Growling both were in a lock trying to overpower the other.
Pushing back, Winter made a glyph appear behind her launching her across the arena and delivering a powerful strike knocking Lea to the ground.
"Whoa," Roxas said not expecting that.
"Yes." Weiss grins at her sister's successful strike.
"Well nice to know you're not just a stick in the mud," Lea said standing up.
"Oh, I'm far more than that." Stabbing her swords into the ground, Winter created a blizzard that surrounded her and Lea.
Shivering Shizuka gripped her arms. "Oh wow, it's s-s-so c-c-cold."
As Lea looked around he heard a growling noise. Emerging from the blizzard around them 4 Beowfulf Grimm made entirely out of ice appeared.
"What the?" Lea paused surprised by this while Winter just smirked.
"What are those things?" Xion asks surprised.
"They look Heartless, but different," Isa said.
"They're Grimm," Jaune states. "
"Well they look like them at least," Weiss explains stating they weren't the real deal.
"Roxas, what kind of people did you bring?" Saeko asks.
"Same kind of people as you guys. People fighting through struggles. You guys had to deal with zombies, they dealt with those." Roxas points.
Pausing, Takashi and his group looked at each other. They were still getting used to these other world concepts and while Roxas had told them about the Heartless they couldn't help but be curious about this other group.
As the Ice Beowulfs charged at him, Lea slashed them away with his chakrams keeping them at bay.
However, from the side, Winter flings her blades creating a wave of ice that smashes into Lea sending him skidding back.
Shaking it off, Lea looks to see Winter and the Ice Grimm approaching him.
"You are beaten." Winter declares pointing her sword at him.
However instead of being depressed Lea just smirks. "I'll admit Winter, you're good. But no ice user has ever gotten the edge over me and I don't plan on changing that anytime soon!" In response to his determination, flames shot out evaporating Winter's blizzard.
"What power." Winter gasps.
"Burn Baby!" Lea said pressing his hand to the ground and the arena around them began changing to molten rocks.
Raising her swords Winter shielded herself from the heat but her Ice Grimm weren't taking it too well as the intense heat caused them to melt.
"Can someone turn down the heat?" Shizuka pants sweating bullets now due to Lea's fire.
"No one's ever broken through Winter's blizzard." Weiss gasps.
"You guys are good, but that doesn't mean we're not." Xion informs.
"You know the old saying if you can't take the heat…get off the battlefield!" Lea roars holding out his hands and giant pillars of flames erupt around them.
As a bright light engulfs them, Winter's screams echo through it.
When the light died down we see Winter on the ground with some burn marks on her clothes.
Groaning she looked up to see Lea had his keyblade inches from her face.
"You are beaten." Lea declares using her own words.
Sighing Winter nods conceding defeat.
Instantly a smile forms on his face.
"Not bad. You actually gave me a challenge." Lea said offering her a hand.
"I lost. I don't need cheering up." Winter said taking it and he helped her up.
"Oh, will you stop being so uptight and wound up? Listen the whole reason you were brought here was so we could help you guys get better. If we weren't strong then what would there be for you all to learn?" Lea asks.
"I guess you have a point," Winter admits.
"Exactly, so lighten up and trust us. You're among friends now. And all of us look out for each other. Get it memorized." Lea smirks doing his signature gag.
Slowly a soft smile appears on her face
"Now that you all have seen what some of our potential looks like we'll begin training you. If you can keep up, we'll take you to other worlds with us. If you can't…well that's your problem to deal with." Isa said.
"Well then…we better get started." Ruby declares determined.

You can use any character that comes to mind for him to be paired with but it must meet these guidelines.
1. I must know the character in question before I can commit to anything.
2. They CANNOT be from a series that Roxas is already involved with (EAH, Yugioh 5Ds, Chaotic, etc)
3. If any of the women are older you must provide a reason and how he would win her over.
