Everyone has the system. The system is standardized. The system helps whoever uses it. The system does not care about others, it's actions are for your own benefit, even if it causes harm to others. Systems cannot be disabled or changed(ignoring settings). Appraisal can be used to view systems directly. Appraisal block is passive for LVs of appraisal equal to or below it, but active for LVs above it. The system harvests important and valuable resources from the enemies you kill(however you can tell it to not for certain enemies). The systems settings can be accessed through appraisal. Settings include harvesting, display of stats, and display of skills. You grow stronger when you level up. You fully heal when you level up. Your clothes, if not destroyed, return to normal on level up. Active skills require active thought(yes, this does mean an active skill can become passive). Skills can have both active and passive affects. Settings can only be changed by the user.

This is what we've been able learn about the system, the only one requiring explanation is the one about appraisal block, this is basically what it means, if you have appraisal block LV 7 and someone with appraisal LV 6 uses appraisal on you, it fails, you can bypass this by using the skill appraisal bridge, which is effectively a two way appraisal, it has no level because all it takes to use is approval of both people(and one of them to have the skill). If that person had an appraisal of LV 16, you would have to use chakra to block the appraisal. And if the appraiser had Appraisal LV 28+(more than twenty levels higher) of appraisal, the appraisee won't even be notified or feel the sensation of being appraised.

Fatigue resistance is LV 9 now and that's a good thing because most shinobi go weeks without sleeping on long missions and fight for long durations. Speaking of, I've been fighting a long battle against sleep for a while now, turns out three all-nighters in a row weren't good for your health, how... surprising. Fatigue resistance is certainly going to come in handy, graduation tests are tomorrow and if I fall asleep tonight, I'll sleep for a week straight... and I've still got 20 books to read.

20 books later...

*Yawn* Damn, Rapid really makes a difference, it's been 5 minutes and I still have 7 minutes left, I'm gonna go get some scrolls on skills. I wasn't allowed in the library, but that didn't matter, there were about 50 different exits and entrances, only 2 of them being guarded, so it was rather easy to sneak in, even at the guarded entrances, I set the 20 books in the return bin, going in through an open window.

The library was sectioned into 2 main areas, civilian and shinobi, in the civilian section was fiction, tall tales, and history books. In the shinobi section, there were fighting styles, skills, history books, bounty books, ninja academy books, and even books on torture/interrogation. Because of this, the shinobi section is heavily guarded and subdivided into 3 sections: C, D, and E, after the first three skill ranks, E rank jutsu were learned by academy students, D rank by Genin, and C rank by Chunin and advanced Genin, considering graduation is tomorrow, I'm pretty much a Genin and considering I beat the Hokage's son, I'd say I'm advanced, not that I have to justify me being there, I could've just gone straight into the C rank section through the 7 unguarded entrances there, but I wanted to check out the other sections on my way, so I didn't.

I'd already learned the 15 E rank jutsu, so there was nothing new. The only D rank jutsu(of the ones I hadn't already learned) I found interesting were the Shunshin(Body Flicker), Devour, and Temporary Paralysis Technique. Moving to the C rank portion of the library, I noticed two skills that just... went together, Crow Clone Jutsu and Scattering Thousand Crows, one creates replicating(through clone jutsu) crows, and the other uses crows to form clones out of. The other interesting ones were Dragon Fire, Fire Resistance, Pain Mitigation, Chakra Resistance, Chakra Minimized Consumption, Earth Resistance, Wind Resistance, Lightning Resistance, Water Resistance, Genjutsu Resistance, and...

There's something... off(?) about the scroll right there, one row off the ceiling... It's double sided! Pulling it out and reading the back it reveals a location, a location for something, I didn't know what, but it seemed important, and it definitely would be, I quickly discovered. But for now, I put it aside and decided to focus on my test tomorrow.

I could sense how big my eyebags were, mostly from the stares, but also how exhausted I was. The day dragged on, every minute felt like an hour and yet I could barely remember half an hour ago, the sleep deprivation was really catching up to me, but I pushed through anyway, I finished the test in an hour tops, the fifth to finish. 2 hours of fighting back sleep and we moved on to the physical tests, I got 8/10 for shurikens, 9/10 for kunai, and 7/10 for kunai, and average of 8/10 bringing me to 3rd place, tied with two others. Naruto got 9/10 and Sasuke got 10/10.

For the jutsu tests, they would call us into a separate room and have us do the 5 basic skills: The Clone, Transformation, Body Replacement(the log one), Appraisal, and Co-operation skills(they'd use appraisal for Co-op.). To pass you had to have at least 4 of the 5 at level 3. I have Clone at LV 4, Transformation at 6, Body Replacement at 4, Appraisal at 9, and Co-operation at LV 1. Taking my headband and going back to the classroom, I went to the desk and promptly fell asleep the next hour, only being woken by the bell.

Groggily walking home after school, someone wanted to pick a fight, and punched me in the gut. I turned and stared at him, releasing a burst of Killing Intent. The bastard's face was hilarious. There weren't any disturbances after that. Finally getting home and laying down to sleep felt like heaven.

I didn't have to go to school the next 7 days, I had a whole week to myself, and I sure as hell was gonna use it. First on the list, the location, whatever it may be, seemed important, and I just had to check it out. So, I went to the location, it was located on Hokage mountain, above Hashirama's head. Whatever was there was well-hidden because it took me five minutes of Rapid, equivalent to hours, to find the entrance, a trapdoor. On it was engraved... something(?), I couldn't read it, so I appraised it.

This trapdoor is known as The Gateway To The Fire That Burns The Leaf | On it, engraved in an ancient script, are the words: Here Lies Infernal Knowledge

That's ominous... I'm still going in, you thought that would deter me, you thought wrong, now I'm just more interested. Prying the trapdoor open and jump in, curious of what lie ahead... keeping those dangerous area notifications on would've been a good choice...

Skydiving and free fall are defined by one difference, a parachute, a parachute brings a deadly, no, suicidal thing to just being dangerous, and I really wish I was on the dangerous side of that line right now. That is to say, I'm free falling.
