Shocking Discovery of Cheerful Friend
Luna Luna ran with Penny with Jaune and Ruby right behind them though they don't know why they are suddenly running for their lives.
"Hey, would you mind telling us why we are running through town?" Jaune asked.
"I'm not entirely sure myself, but it would seem that Penny is quite worried about the Altas soldiers that were present at the announcement hologram, and she doesn't want to be seen by them." Luna Luna explained on what she does know.
"What?! You're running from the cops?" Ruby gasped as Jaune was shocked by this too.
"I'm not a criminal is that what's you're worried about." Penny assured, but that doesn't exactly help Jaune calm down.
"Okay, this day just started to weird!" Jaune commented.
Jaune and Ruby look behind them to see the Atlas soldiers are behind them and slowly catching up, they need to think of a plan to get them off their backs for a while until Penny can tell them what is going on.
Jaune looks ahead to see a flimsy support stand holding up some boxes high next to a wall. This gave Jaune an idea as he took out his sword and cut the support to make the wooden boxes fall to block the soldier's path that is going to take a while for them to get around.
"Good thinking." Ruby complimented.
"Thanks, now let's catch up with them!" Jaune tried to run faster to keep up with the girls.
However, they are still a little far ahead of them and Ruby really wants to help Penny even though she still has no idea on what is going on here. She decides to try using her speed by jumping and runs on the wall for a moment and ricocheting off to grab Penny around the middle.
"This way!" Ruby said before using her speed Semblance to dash them through a path.
"Now I really wish I have that superspeed." Jaune complained a little.
But the speedy ride for Penny wouldn't last as Ruby started to feel the strain on body with having to use her Petal Burst Semblance while carrying another person causing them to fall and Ruby rolls on the street.
"Ruby! Look out!" Jaune called out upon seeing a truck coming at her.
However, Ruby only had time to hear the honking sound of a truck horn and turns around seeing it coming at her, but Penny quickly pushes her out of the way and stop the truck with her own two hands as the impact made the truck go in the air a bit before getting back down on the ground. There are even cracks under Penny's feet and the ground crumbles into pieces from this.
"Wha…" Jaune gasped with his lower jaw hanging.
"Goodness!" Luna Luna was shocked to see Penny being so strong wondering if her Semblance is some kind of super strength one.
"Are you okay?" Penny asked the truck driver who nods in response.
Penny backs away seeing the frightening and shocked expressions on Ruby, Jaune, and Luna Luna's face and they weren't the only ones who saw this as dozens of people have seen the pink bow wearing girl stopped a truck all by herself. This made Penny worry and afraid of what the people just saw and look down at her hands becoming scared, she ran away again as the Atlas Soldiers are still chasing her, but the crowd is blocking their path.
"Penny, wait!" Ruby called out as they chase her again.
"Oh great, more running." Jaune complained a little.
"Come, they went that way!" Luna Luna grabbed Jaune by the arm and ran off to where Penny and Ruby ran into.
Penny stops once she got out of the alleyway and looked down at her hands again before hiding them under her armpits, and Ruby's small group finally caught up to her.
"Penny, can you please stop running and start telling us what the shit-Grimm is going on here?" Jaune demanded.
"Why are you running? How did you do that?!" Ruby asked panicking a little.
"I-I can't! Everything's fine!" Penny hiccupped through each lie. "I-I don't want to talk about it!"
"I'm afraid those hiccups are telling us that you're lying." Luna Luna pointed out.
"Penny, if you can just tell us what's wrong, we can help you!" Ruby said.
"No! No, no! You wouldn't understand..." Penny refused to tell as she doesn't want to get them in trouble.
"Then let us try to understand, I may not know what deep thing you're in, but if I see a friend of mine in trouble and doesn't know what to do then I'll go help that friend no matter how much she pushes me away." Jaune stated.
"He's right, Penny. You can trust me!" Ruby vouched for Jaune.
"You're my friends, right? You promise you're my friends?!" Penny asked Ruby.
"We promise." Ruby nodded.
"Okay, guys… I'm not a real girl." Penny revealed the palms of her hands to be metal as parts of them are ripped away from the impact of the truck.
Upon seeing the metal literally under her skin, all three friends became shocked to see that Penny isn't a normal girl or even a human girl to begin with as this new reality of truth has just crashed onto him.
"Penny, I-I don't understand..." Ruby stuttered.
"Yes, please explain what is going on here." Jaune begged politely.
"Most girls are born, but I was made. I'm the world's first synthetic person capable of generating an Aura." Penny explained, but then looks sad again.
"I'm not real…" Penny looked at her hands, but then Ruby place hers and them.
"Of course you are. You think just because you've got nuts and bolts instead of squishy guts makes you any less real than me?" Ruby believed.
"Not only that, but you have more emotions than a toaster would know what to do with emotions in the first place." Jaune smiled.
"You are like a ray of sunshine that everyone can feel!" Luna Luna danced around the girl.
"I don't... um... You all... are taking this extraordinarily well." Penny was surprised to see that her friends are looking calm and natural despite knowing the fact that she's a robot.
"Well, I think you have already proven to us how much of a real girl you are unlike those other robots we saw." Jaune said truthfully.
"Yeah, you're not like those things we saw back there. You've got a heart, and a soul; I can feel it!" Ruby smiled as she taps on Penny's chest.
"And you can always count on us to make you feel more alive than ever before!" Luna Luna smiled.
"Ooohh... oh, you guys! You're all the best friends anyone could have!" Penny pulled the three friends into a bear crushing hug as she sways them a bit while almost taking their breath away.
"I can see why your father would want to protect such a delicate flower!" Ruby exclaimed.
"Yeah, a delicate flower with an iron grip." Jaune commented, hoping she let's go of them like right now.
"Oh, he's very sweet! My father's the one that built me! I'm sure you would love him!" Penny smiled, believing her new friends can get along with her dad.
"My, your father must be quite the amazing man to have built you by himself." Luna Luna was impressed, wondering how big this father's brain is.
"Well, almost! He had some help from Mr. Ironwood." Penny mentioned.
"Whoa, your dad must have some good connections in Atlas." Jaune commented.
"Wait... Is that why those soldiers were after you?" Ruby asked, realizing those soldiers must've been after Penny because of her dad.
"They like to protect me, too!" Penny said.
"Them protecting you? I think the role should be reverse with how you took care of that trunk." Jaune stated.
"They're not sure if I'm ready yet... One day, it will be my job to save the world, but I still have a lot left to learn. That's why my father let me come to the Vytal Festival. I want to see what it's like in the rest of the world and test myself in the Tournament." Penny explained her purpose of being created.
Jaune, Ruby, and Luna Luna look at each other for a moment feeling a bit confuse about what Penny is even saying.
"Penny, what are you talking about? Save the world from what? We're in a time of peace!" Ruby pointed out.
"That's not what Mr. Ironwood said..." Penny looked confused now.
"Check down there!" Everyone heard one of the Atlas soldiers as they are getting closer.
"You have to hide!" Penny said before easily lifting Ruby, Luna Luna, and Jaune over her head and goes over to the dumpster.
"Penny, wait! What are you doing? You don't have to go with them! We can help you!" Ruby wanted to help Penny more.
"Don't think it'll be that simple, Ruby." Jaune said before they're thrown into the dumpster.
"It's okay, Ruby. They're not bad people; I just don't want to get you guys in trouble. Just promise me you won't tell anyone else my secret. Okay?" Penny asked.
"Of course, your secret is safe with us." Ruby promised, Jaune and Luna Luna also promised to keep her secret until death. Maybe not that dramatic, but it's still a promise worth keeping.
Penny smiles, feeling really glad to know that she has such great friends in her life and closes the lid of the dumpster then turns to face the incoming soldiers.
"There she is!" The Atlas solider came running up to her.
"Sal-u-tations, officers!" Penny greeted.
"Why were you running? And what happened to the other three kids?!" Atlas Soldier 1 asked.
"What are you talking about? I've been by myself all day!" Penny lied with a hiccup and then smiles. Ruby carefully opens the lid of the dumpster so she and the others can see if they brought Penny's act.
"You shouldn't cause such a scene." Atlas Soldier 1 scolded.
"Are you okay?" Atlas Solider5 2 asked.
"Just a scratch." Penny showed her scratched hands.
"Penny, your father isn't going to be happy about this." Atlas Soldier 1 said.
"Please, just come with us." Atlas Soldier 2 said.
"Yes, sir!" Penny nodded and followed the soldiers out of the alleyway, she quickly turns around waving at her friends.
Ruby waves back though felt a little sad to know that Penny might be in for a little trouble, but then she felt a hand touching her shoulder and turn to see Jaune.
"Don't worry, we'll see Penny again because if there is one thing I have from my Arc family is that an Arc never goes back on his word." Jaune said, assuring to Ruby that they will definitely see Penny again in the near future.
"Aw, thanks Jaune, you really know just what to say." Ruby smiled.
"Say Jaune, is it almost time for your mother to come into the city to check up on our progress?" Luna Luna asked.
"Yeah, just about 30 minutes left." Jaune checked the time on his Scroll and notice something else in the dumpster with them.
"DEAD RAT?!" Jaune screamed.
This causes Ruby and Luna Luna to scream as Jaune also ended up letting go of the lid causing it to fall on their heads and they groan in a little pain.
"Are you okay in there?" A young woman asked, lifting the dumpster.
"Huh, yeah, just a little… rat problem." Jaune chuckled, feeling embarrassed to be seen like this by another pretty girl.
"What are you guys doing in there? Looking for a lost item or something?" The young woman asked.
"You could say we have, and we have already found what we were looking for." Luna Luna said.
"Hold on, you look familiar… Ah! You're Leina Vance, the Wandering Huntress!" Jaune gasped upon realizing who this woman is.
"No way, for real?!" Ruby squealed with excitement.
"It's an honor to meet some fans of mine." Leina smiled.
Leina is a beautiful young woman with long blonde hair and blue eyes. She wears revealing armor with a distinct breastplate that gives her protection and immunity to certain demonic attacks. On her right arm and neck is a series of long brown straps wrapped around her that dangle about freely. For added protection, she carries a full-arm, armored gauntlet on her left arm with a buckler mounted on it. Breasts sizes: E-cup.
"Now, how about I help you three get out of there." Leina offered to help.
"Yes, please! I think that rat was trying to bite me!" Ruby grabbed her hand in a hurry.
(With Yang's Group)
Yang is riding her motorcycle, Bumblebee, fast through the downtown streets of Vale city while Nora is screaming of excitement that she is having the time of her life while Menace is enjoying the ride while holding onto her friends tightly.
And then Yang stops the bike.
"Aw… Why'd you stop?" Nora asked.
"Because we're here. Come on, my friend's right in here!" Yang said as she gets up followed by the others.
"You know, I might be thinking about getting my own license for motorcycles." Menace said as they walked into the building.
"Cool, I can teach you." Yang offered.
Inside the building which is a large bar place with a dancefloor and music by a DJ man wearing a bear head mask, then everyone inside notice three men came rushing in closing the door.
"What are you two idiots doing?!" The boss, Junior, asked.
Before they could answer, they were blasted away by Yang with her punch and boost from Ember Celica as she enters the place.
"Guess who's back!" Yang smirked, and all the men pointed their guns at her while Yang just smile and pose for them.
"Oh, I see those are the kinds of friends you're into." Nora looked at the scared men.
"Perhaps this is another meaning I did not read about." Menace was puzzled with how these men are reacting to Yang's present.
"Stop, stop! Nobody shoot." Junior stopped his men as he cut his way through to meet up with Yang. "Blondie, you're here! ...Why?" He asked.
"You still owe me a drink." Yang said and dragged him by the arm to the counter.
"Do you think we should go with her?" Menace asked.
"I'm sure she's fine, not like she's gonna trash the place." Nora shrugged.
"She did. Once!" A pair of twins shouted at the friends of Yang.
(With Blake's Group)
Blake, Ren, and Sun are seen hiding behind a corner of a street peeking over the see a lot of Faunuses going into a warehouse lead by a White Fang member welcoming them in.
"This is it." Blake whispered.
"You sure?" Sun asked.
"A bunch of Fauns are going into a warehouse where a White Fang soldier is welcoming them. Pretty sure this is the place." Ren pointed out the obvious.
"Okay, just wanted to be sure." Sun nodded.
"I don't get it. If you believe what you're doing is right, why hide who you are?" Sun asked while holding his own White Fang mask.
"The masks are a symbol. Humanity wanted to make monsters out of us, so we chose to don the faces of monsters." Blake explained.
"All the mistreating to make themselves into monsters." Ren felt bad for the Faunus who were treated badly by his fellow humans, and he hates them for not seeing the bigger picture.
"Grimm masks... That's kind of dark." Sun commented.
"So was the guy who started it." Blake said before putting her mask on and walked toward the warehouse.
"I do hope we can put a stop to that." Ren said before he and Sun put their masks on and quickly followed Blake.
"What Faunus are you again?" Sun asked Ren.
"Bat." Ren answered and show the fake fangs.
Once inside, there are a bunch of Faunus gathered inside as they wait for the speech and one Faunus is seen on the stage getting everyone's attention.
"Thank you all for coming. For those of you who are joining us for the first time tonight, allow me to introduce a very special comrade of ours! I can assure you, he is the key to obtaining what we have fought for, for so long!" White Fang Lieutenant gestured to the right side of the stage.
And to everyone's surprise, Roman walks up greeting the Faunus audience.
"(Show us what you're up to, Roman.)" Blake thought glared at the man, feeling a bit of anger.

Jaune's group have found out that Penny is a robot, but they still see her as a true friend in their eyes and they even get to meet Leina Vance who is a known Huntress. Yang's group arrives at the nightclub to get some answers from the boss while Blake's group is about to see what the White Fang and Roman got.
