This drabble (220 words) was prompted by 'it's not too late'. It captures a moment between Eomer and Lothíriel when Rohan and Gondor are at war after the war of the ring. It's obviously slightly alternate universe. We catch them after a remark Eomer may have made about Lothíriel's father who is now Rohan's enemy alongside any other Gondorian.

Set after the beheading of the orc in the Hobbit movie. Thranduil returns to his chambers after hearing about the One, trying to reign in the surfacing fear of a second Dagorlad. And there is only one person who helps him facing the darkness within him. Spans the time from the Hobbit till after Elrond sets sail, focusing on the developing relationship between Elrond and Thranduil.
