"Okay, Lilac, think this through. Your best friend's missing without a trace, and there is no way in hell that we can get him back. So now, his dad's freaking out, and your dad is stressed as fuck because people keep going missing in a similar fashion to your best friend, AND-"

"Okay, Lil, we get the gist." Sage said, a hint of annoyance in his calm tone.

"Shut it."

"Where is most of the city?" Sage asked, walking around the police station with his arms up. "They can't just vanish into thin air!"

"They all went through the same thing Purple did. They all fell through a hole and vanished off the face of the earth." Saffron said simply, annoyed at how Sage wouldn't drop the subject when they had more pressing matters.

What were they going to do?

Sage walked out the door, clearly annoyed with the other stick. "Fine! I'll go walk my happy ass into a hole and end up in another dimension and see what your theory actually is!"

"Shit, wait! Don't!" Ruby chased after, leaving two very confused teenagers behind.

"What the..."

King and Cornflower ran out into the lobby. "What's with the screaming?"

"Sage and Ruby may or may not be doing some stupid shit right now." Saffron deadpanned, already walking through the door to see what happened next.

By the the time the four of them had made it outside, Ruby was holding Sage back from jumping into a hole.

"Let go! I'm proving Saffron wrong!"

"No the fuck your not! We've lost Purple, and this friend group isn't losing anyone else!" Ruby shouted back.

Lilac and Saffron shrugged, moving to assist Ruby in getting the teenager away from the hole.

"Let me the fuck go! I swear to God, I'll take the three of you with me if you don't let go!"

"Your gonna kill of us!" Saffron shouted, pulling his arm back. "Ending up in that hole an equivalent to committing suicide!"

King and Lilac visibly froze and flinched.

"...Not that Purple willingly jumped in." Saffron immediately backtracked before Lilac could kick his ass.

"Are we saying my son is stupid?" King said, crossing his arms and glaring at Saffron.

Saffron's hands left Sage's arm for a split second as he tried to cover his ass. "No! No, absolutely not!"

"SAFFRON!" The girls screamed, catching the trios attention.

Sage threw Lilac off of him, and was going to throw Ruby away before she lost her footing.

And fell.

"God dammit, Ruby!" Sage shouted, almost jumping after her before the other two teenagers pushed past him and jumped in.

Sage and King shared a look of annoyance as Cornflower chased after his daughter, jumping in after her.

"Son of a bitch." Sage said to himself before jumping in after, ignoring King's annoyed glance before he himself jumped in.

Washington stepped outside, shivering against the cold air. The camp was virtually silent, as it had been since the day Alex went missing.

He was gone. Completely vanished without a trace, and it was making him more worried by the second.

The last important thing that had happened was a search crew, led by Laurens, found clothes that clearly belonged to Hamilton, and Washington had assumed the worst.

The clothes laid in Hamilton's shared tent with Laurens, and even poor John was having trouble sleeping, knowing his best friend was missing.

His eyes casted to his current aide, Lafayette, who had been covering for Alexander since he went missing. He was surrounded by men, all ushering him to the medic tent.

Fuck.

Dear God, please be Alex. Please be an alive, even if injured, Alex.

Washington ran into the medic tent, almost crashing into Hercules Mulligan.

"Sir! I was just about to collect you," Mulligan was out of breath. "We have not found Alexander, but I feel we have found a clue."

If Washington felt great relief from that, it would have been an understatement. He felt as if the world had been lifted from his shoulders.

A clue to Alexander's whereabouts? Oh, thank god.

"What is it, boy?"

Mulligan gestured to the room, where four smaller, almost child-like, figures lined two cot. Taller, and presumably older, figures were alongside them. Lafayette and John Laurens were at their sides, their body language meaning they were questioning them.

The yelling made it understandably difficult to understand what was happening.

Laurens turned, presumably hoping Mulligan was behind him, only to find Washington. He slapped Lafayette's arm, gesturing behind him.

"General Washington, sir." Laurens said, and one of the children piped up.

"GENERAL WASHINGTON?!" The stick, obviously a female, screamed. She jumped from the cot, and Washington had to take a step back out of shock.

The figures being tended to were stick figures, almost as if they had been colored in, given details, and magically thrown off of a page.

"Sir, what are we to do?" Laurens asked.

Washington was at a loss for words. "I...I don't know. For starters, who are you? And why does my soldier say you have something to do with Alexander's disappearance?"

The light purple stick in front of him looked at him another moment, before finally speaking.

"For starters, Sir, I'm Lilac, and these are my friends Ruby, Sage, and Saffron. That's my dad, Detective Cornflower, and his friend King," She gestured to the two older adults. "We were caught in an earthquake a while ago, and King's son Purple fell through a hole. Numerous other members of our town have done so as well."

"Ruby fell into a hole and we ended up here," King finished explaining. "If my theory is correct, my son also ended up...wherever we are."

"More like whenever. From the way your blueish friend is dressed, you don't look like your from here." Laurens said, making a face and staring at Cornflower.

Lilac shared a look with King and Cornflower. "This is going to be a long explanation."

With their introductions out of the way, Lilac got to work explaining where they came from, and how they had ended up in a medic tent on a Continental Army camp.

Lafayette stared at them, mouth agape. "My God..."

"Jesus Christ," Laurens said.

Lilac looked between the two continental soldiers. "This might sound crazy, but..."

"But what." Ruby and Laurens said simultaneously. The two looked at each other before turning their attention back to Lilac.

"...What if Purple and Alexander ended up together, and are lost in the woods somewhere?"
