Ngl, I rush the hell out of this first chapter. I'll try to do better...if I don't discontinue this story.
Deep in outer space, on an inhabited blue planet, a large spaceship was passively hovering over the rocky surface. Its size was comparable to that of a continent. The sky shined purple as the sun started to set on the planet. Inside the spaceship resides some of the most dangerous fighters to ever exist in the galaxy. One of those fighters was known as Boros, the Dominator of the Universe. He opens a door which leads to the radar and map room. Many of his soldiers, including General Geryuganshoop, have been keeping tabs on any motion detection on the planet.
"Lord Boros, just in time." Geryuganshoop greets his leader. "The Cold Force has just entered the atmosphere."
Boros looks at the radar and sees one large blip along with many smaller blips with it. "Give them word that they can land on the center of my ship, and bring our new squad along as well." Boros orders as he leaves the room.
Geryuganshoop nods. "Right away, sir."
Above Boros' Spaceship, in the upper atmosphere, many small spaceships and space pods began to dive down on the planet. Behind them was a large circular spaceship, that was many times bigger than the small ones, but still paled in comparison to Boros'.
Boros' men setup beacons on the center of the spaceship to show the Cold Force where to land. The Cold Force sees it and begins descending down. Many small pods and ships landed one by one, and the large spaceship landed in the front. Boros had made it to the top of his ship along with his generals and many of his men. He also had brought his new squad: Bardock, Tora, Fasha, Shugesh, and Borgos. They all kept silent as they followed Boros towards the large spaceship.
Reaching the ship, many of Cold's soldiers began to fly out and land in many single-file lines. Eventually, the Ginyu Force would land down and instinctively strike a pose. The door of the large spaceship would open and a ramp would appear. The ramp hits the ground and many more Cold soldiers came out, including his two strong henchmen: Zarbon and Dodoria.
Finally, the main star, Lord Cold, shows himself exiting the spaceship along with his son Freeza. Boros couldn't help but smile as he watches Cold walk down the ramp. As soon as Cold touches the ground, Boros walks towards him at the same pace. The two grinned widely at one another until they were a mere feet away from each other. Neither of their eyes left for many seconds.
"...Lord Boros..."
"...Lord Cold..."
The two form a ki ball on their hands and cock it back. Then the two suddenly shout-
"EMPEROR'S DAP!"
The two clap hands with one another and the ki balls on their hand explode and creates gust of wind that nearly blows back everyone except Freeza.
"It has been too long, Cold." Boros states.
"Likewise, Boros." Cold replies. "As much as I would love to have a reunion with you, I will have to make this quick. Before I explain..."
Cold sets his eyes on the Saiyans behind Boros' generals. "How are the Saiyans I sent you doing?" He asks.
Boros turns around towards the Saiyans and smirks. "They have shown to be formidable warriors and useful at that. Hell they even gave my soldiers a reason to get stronger after witnessing their oozaru state."
"That's good to hear." Cold signals Freeza to exit his pod and he does just that. "Now let's get back on topic. I plan on retiring from my position as an Emperor. Starting tomorrow, when I make my way to Planet Vegeta, I will be reassigned to King Cold. My empire will no longer be called the "Cold Force"."
Boros stays quiet for a little bit and then finally responds. "I see...and I supposed you already have a replacement?"
Cold stares down at Freeza who kept his eyes shut during the entire conversation. "Yes, and that will be my son here, Freeza. All commanding forces from my Empire will be following him from now on." He answers as he pats Freeza on the back.
Boros sighs, knowing what type of person Freeza is. "This will definitely be interesting." Boros says as he puts his attention to Freeza.
"Well, Lord Freeza, I hope that our Empires will continue to cooperate without any problems." Boros gives a handshake gesture to Freeza. "Is it a truce?"
Freeza sighs as he shakes Boros' hand, and then quickly swipes it away. "Fine, it is a truce." He answers. "Are we done here, Father? I would like nothing more than to make King Vegeta lick my foot."
"Yes, I suppose we should get going." Cold answers. "It has been a lovely chat with you Boros, but I have errands to do. Make sure to drop by the Space Party next week. The Ginyu Force have prepared a terrific event that day. Anyway, see you then." Cold and his army return to their spacepods and spaceships and proceeded to exit the planet.
Boros and his crew watched them dissappear from sight, knowing that conquering planets was going to be a lot harder.
5 Years Later
The Dark Matter Thieves have been growing in strength. With the Freeza Force being more ruthless in conquering planets, Boros made sure that his army was sufficient enough to hold their own if Freeza ever plans to betray him. As he is thinking of this, his throne room opens up. He looks up and sees that it was the Saiyan Squad.
Bardock and his squad were bloodied and bruised, but they acted like it was just another day at work. They make it to the bottom of the stairs and Bardock speaks up. "We've finished taking care of the Zentarians. The clean up crew is doing the rest." He states.
Boros smiles. "Excellent work, Bardock. I've sent your payment to your dorms already. You're free to go."
With that finished, Bardock and his squad make their way to their dorms. Tora and the rest have noticed that Bardock has been saving a couple of races for a while now. He even saved a couple of Zentarians and made sure they got off the planet before the clean up crew arrived. Whatever he's planning must be good. They finally make it to their dorms and noticed the money sitting beside the door. They all split it five way and start taking a shower. After the five finish showering, they put on clothes and relax for now. Shugesh was laying on the bed watching God knows what on the TV, and notices Bardock packing some stuff.
"Ah, finally going to meet your wife after a couple of months?" Shugesh wonders.
"Yeah, gotta go see how my newborn is doing. I've never got to check his power level yet." Bardock answers.
"Speaking of, how long are we gonna keep suppressing our powers whenever we cross Freeza's men? It's getting annoying that they always talk down upon us whenever we cross paths." Shugesh asks.
"Well, you have to admit that being able to suppress our power is a great skill that Boros taught us and his men." Tora chimes in. "Even his Generals didn't have access to ki until Boros showed them how to. Now all three of them are walking power houses that might be able to beat the Ginyu Force."
Fasha turns on her scouter and scans her crew and they all respectively have a power level of 5,000(Suppressed). "Let's not forget about King Vegeta and his elite unit. He'd go berserk if he saw our true strength." Fasha chuckles.
"You can say that again." Borgos mutters.
Bardock finishes packing his stuff and heads to the door. "Even if we aren't in his Forces, we still gotta remain cautious around him and the King until the right time." Bardock then opens the door and turns around to his squad. "Once that time comes, then we'll strike."
He then closes the door behind him and makes his way towards the hangar. He reaches a spacecraft, puts a destination to Planet Vegeta, and takes off into space.
2 Days Later
Bardock finally reaches the atmosphere of Planet Vegeta. He took a look around and noticed that many space pods were coming to Planet Vegeta. Then he notices Freeza's spaceship not to far. Quickly, he sets coordinates to fly away from Freeza's spaceship so he couldn't be seen. He descends to his home village, releasing a sigh of breath. He steps out of the spacecraft and makes his way to his home. He looks around and notices that the Saiyans are acting carefree as usual. Surely they're aware of Freeza hovering over them right?
"Hey, Bardock, I didn't think you'd be alive after leaving us!" A voice calls out.
"Shut up." Bardock replies as he glances over in annoyance to see one of his friends talking to him. "You have any idea why Freeza is hovering over our planet?"
"He had called all the Saiyans to return to Planet Vegeta, the reason is still unknown. In fact, some of the Freeza soldiers have been asking around about the Super Saiyan." The Saiyan explains.
Hearing this, Bardock slowly starts putting the pieces together: Freeza in space and not on the planet, calling all the saiyan and not saying why, asking about the Super Saiyan...
Bardock grits his teeth. "So that's why!"
At a small hut, Gine was chopping up some meat to eat later, until she hears a voice call her name.
"Not even gonna greet me, Gine?" Bardock calls from the door.
Gine turns around and instantly rushes to hug Bardock. "You're alive, Bardock. I thought you would be dead after hearing your mission."
"It's good to see you too." Bardock looks around for a second. "Where's Raditz?"
Gine hearing Raditz sighed in annoyance. "He's still out with General Nappa and that upstart Prince Vegeta." She answers.
Bardock keeps that in mind and walks over to the incubator. Inside the incubator lies a sleeping Kakarot. Bardock takes out a special scouter that was customized for Boros men. He presses a button on it to read Kakarots power level and it only reads '2'.
"So not only did Raditz not show up, but my newborn son, Kakarot, has a low power level...good." Bardock mutters the last word.
Gine was confused until Bardock grabbed both of her arms. "Gine...do you trust me?"
Gine freezes for a moment then slowly nods yes to Bardock.
After some time passes, on the other side of the planet where Freeza's spaceship can't see, Bardock was carrying his personal spacecraft while Gine was carrying Kakarot inside a spacepod. "I don't get it. Why do we have to send our boy out to a distant planet instead of coming with us?" She curiously asks.
"It's just to ensure his safety. I wouldn't want him to be with us if Boros ever betrays us as well, though the chances of that happening are low." Bardock answers as he sets the spacecraft down. "I'm not taking the risk regardless. We'll make our way to fetch Kakarot, most likely when he's an adult."
Gine ponders on Bardocks new attitude. "Bardock...why do you have to go through all this trouble for Kakarot. It's not like you for a Saiyan man to care for children?"
"...I don't know...maybe it's through all the fighting...killing...destroying...that I actually wanted to save something for once."
Gine doesn't respond and just sets Kakarot's pod down. Inside, Kakarot was crying heavily until he saw his parents through the glass.
"Conceal you power, Gine, just like how I taught you." Bardock says as he suppresses his power.
"Okay, but I can only go to '100'." Gine replies as she suppresses her power.
"It's good enough, you won't be in range since they're at the top of the atmosphere." Bardock then faces Kakarot. "Now, the planet he's going to have low power life forms and don't have technology like us yet, so he should he fine there."
Gine pushes her nose onto the glass to get a closer look at Kakarot. "Stay strong, son, and you will make it!" She yells.
After that, the spacepods makes its way out of Planet Vegeta, avoiding the scouters of Freeza's men. Crying Gine looks up in the air as Kakarot leaves her sight. Bardock does nothing except smile. He's putting a lot of faith in Kakarot's survival.
Bardock carries Gine bridal style while she still sobs about Kakarot. They go inside the spacecraft and set coordinates for Boros' ship. Without hesitation they leave planet Vegeta and was able to avoid Freeza's men as well.
2 days have passed since they left Planet Vegeta. Gine was asleep while Bardock stayed awake for the whole trip. He wanted to make sure that Freeza wasn't on his trail. When he saw Boros' ship, he new he'd be safe for now.
"Gine, we're here." Bardock calls out.
Gine slowly opens her eyes and groans a little. She stretches a little and looks out the window, only to see a humongous ship in front of her. "...So this Boros' ship. You weren't kidding when you said it was 'massive' with all caps." Gine comments.
"That's why Boros has hangars everywhere around the ship. That way, we can travel around the ship faster." Bardock explains as he lands on a hanger. The two step out to be examined by security.
"I'm surprised you left Planet Vegeta at a good time. Reports say that it got destroyed by a meteorite." One of the guards said.
Bardock grits his teeth in anger, but quickly calms down as he's just glad that they made it out while they still could.
"Alright, you're both good to go." The guard announces.
With that done, Bardock and Gine make their way out of the hanger and to their dorms. Before they could open, someone else opens it from the inside and it was Boros.
Bardock and Gine back up to give him some space. Boros walks out and looks down at them. He notices that their power levels were heavily suppressed and he smiles. "I guess my hunch was right." He mutters.
Both of their eyes widen a little. Does he also know about Freeza destroying Planet Vegeta. Boros seeing their eyes widen confirms his claim even more.
"I will be honest, Bardock, when I heard about you leaving to Planet Vegeta and then the destruction of it, I thought you were dead. It seems I was wrong." Boros explains. "It's good that you survived. I can't have my favorite Colonel die because Freeza was scared of a legend."
Bardock and Gine gasp. "Y-You knew?!" Bardock asks.
Boros chuckles. "I have spies in Freeza's forces and they told me everything. Which is why you will be in lockdown for a few years until this Saiyan situation has dialed down."
"...Wait, did you just say Colonel?" Bardock repeats.
"As of now, you are not promoted to Colonel. Tora will also be promoted to Captain." Boros claims as he puts a hand on Bardocks shoulder. "I have high expectations from you, and I know you won't disappoint me."
Boros lets go of Bardock's shoulder and walks away. "You're squad is waiting for you."
Bardock watches Boros walk away and dissappear within distance. Gine lets out a sigh of relief and looks up at Bardock. "So that's Boros, huh? His presence was chilling to be around." Gine remarks.
"You'll get used to it. He's a way better leader than Frieza anyway." Bardock mumbles. "For now, we'll be staying here until the day we get our son."
24.5 Years Later
Somewhere in the North Galaxy, on a nameless planet, Bardock and his squad were flying their way back to their spacecrafts. Earlier, they were given a briefing of multiple high power signatures on the planet. They were unsure if it was a malfunction or not due to their sonar not working properly recently, so were sent to check it out just incase. After investigating, they found no life form of any kind on the planet. After a few minutes, they make it back to their ships and prepare to leave. Before Tora could get in his spacecraft, he notices that Bardock was staring at the sky.
"Bardock, is everything okay?" Tora calls out.
Bardock doesn't answer and walks up to Tora. He grabs Toras shoulder and nods at him. Tora realizing what he means nods back at him. He turns around to Fasha, Shugesh, and Borgos who were already in the ship and waiting for the go ahead.
"Make room for one more, Bardock is gonna make a special trip somewhere. It should take him about a year for him to return." Tora commands.
The trio nods and makes room for one more seat. Tora faces back at Bardock and daps him up. "I'll make sure to tell Gine. Good luck finding your son." Tora says.
"Thanks." Bardock smiles and walks into the spacecraft. He sets a destination to Earth and sets off into space. He looks out the window and sees a reflection of Kakarot as a baby. Unconsciously, Bardock reaches out for Kakarot's baby hand, only for it to change to an adult hand. He was now back to looking at himself again, but without a scar. He realizes that it was his son as a grown up, but then snaps back to reality and the reflection was gone. Bardock sighs and sits back.
"Kakarot, we can finally reunite."
6 Months Later
Bardock wakes up and looks out the window. He sees that he's closing in on a beautiful green and blue planet and he smiles. He puts on the scouter made from Boros' men and turns it on. He makes sure that the audio is cut off, but not the power scanner. His ship descends faster and faster towards the atmosphere. Once he reaches the troposphere, he turns off autopilot and on his landing gear. He notices a wide open area of grass and decides to land there. After landing, he opens the door and gets a good view of the outside.
"So this is Planet Earth." Bardock says to himself. He notices the calm blue sky, the butterflies flying around, the birds pecking the ground for food and some even flying.
He steps out of his ship and let's out a deep breath and feels the refreshing air coming in and out of his body. The gravity of this planet felt so light for Bardock that he felt like a feather. He turns on his scouter and has a couple of readings.
"88...250...127...ah there go...1500, and it's with a another one with 322." Bardock says as he immediately flies towards that direction.
Meanwhile
In the dessert wasteland Piccolo was staring at the scenery from afar, enjoying the time he has left before he could go back to training. Suddenly, he senses a high power heading towards him fast.
"I-Is that Goku. No way he achieved power like this so quickly." Piccolo remarks.
Then the person with the high energy lands in front of Piccolo. The man was known as Raditz, and he came to seek his brother.
"Excuse me, I'm trying find a man a Kakarot. I thought you were him." Raditz kindly says.
"Well you thought wrong. Now turn around and get out of here before I get angry-
Before Piccolo could finish his sentence, he senses a massive energy heading their way, and it was higher than Raditz. At the same time, Raditz' scouter started beeping crazy, alerting that someone is coming...no it was above them.
Piccolo and Raditz immediately look up and it was Bardock, staring down at them.
"G-Goku!" Piccolo shouts in awe of his power.
"Kakarot, you finally show yourself!" Raditz calls out to him.
Bardock had a shocked expression to his face. 'Raditz...he's still alive? What's he doing here? Is he also here for Kakarot?' Many questions started flowing through his head.
Raditz got a better look at his face and noticed the scar. "Wait...that scar."
Bardock snaps out as he hears this, and then notices the Freeza Force scouter on his face.
Raditz slowly backs up a little. "D-Don't tell me...it's you, Fa-
Before he could finish it, Bardock appears behind Raditz and takes the scouter off and turns it off. Raditz jumps back in a defensive position, expecting his Father to fight him, bit he only gets a chuckle.
"Heh, you really are my son. You didn't learn anything about turning your communicator off, did you." He jokes.
"S-Shut up, I just forgot about it!" Raditz comically yells back.
Piccolo was just awestruck by Bardock's speed. He didn't even see him move at all. "So fast." He comments.
The two Saiyans then put their attention to Piccolo.
"I'm guessing you're hear for Kakarot as well, Raditz." Bardocks asked.
"Yes, but the green man doesn't seem to know." Raditz answers. "However, when you arrived, he called you 'Goku' as if you looked exactly like somebody he knows."
"No doubt about it, it's Kakarot." Bardock says as he walks up to Piccolo. Namekian, you called me 'Goku'. Do I resembled the man that you speak of?"
Piccolo sweats profusely, but still had enough courage to answer. "Yes, an exact replica."
"Where can we find him?" Raditz chimes in.
Without wasting anytime, Piccolo gets a lock on Goku's energy and points to the direction of where he is. Without wasting anytime, Bardock and Raditz instantly take off to the direction.
While they're flying, Raditz wants to ask something. "Father, don't you think it's a bad look on us since Kakarot hasn't starting killing the species yet?"
Bardock looks over at Raditz. "I didn't send Kakarot here to conquer this planet. He only had a power level of 2 when he was an infant, so I sent him to this planet so he could survive and not worry about getting on Freeza's radar."
Raditz starts to understand now. If Kakarot had started conquering this planet, he probably be dead by then; even with his power level.
Kame House
At the island of Kame House, Goku and his son, Gohan, were coming to a reunion with his old friends after not seeing them for so long. He walks up the house, holding his son in his side, and calls out for anyone.
"Hey, anyone here!?" He shouts.
The door suddenly opens and the person who peaks out is Bulma. "Goku, you made it!" She rushes to hug Goku, and he happily hugs back.
Goku looks over Bulma's head and notices his other friends coming out. "Krillin, Master Roshi, and Bang! It's good to see you guys!"
"It's good to see you too, buddy!" Krillin replies.
"Indeed, Goku." Bang says.
Bulma let's go of Goku and notices Gohan. "Who's the kid?" She asks.
Krillin looks over and sees Gohan as well. "Yeah, I never took you for a babysitter."
Gohan and Goku look at each other then back at the group. "This is my son, Gohan."
Everyone was bamboozled by this statement. They couldn't believe it.
Goku sets Gohan down and he bows down to them. "It's nice to meet you all." He greets.
Bang adores his manners. "Such a humble lad he is." He comments.
"So, you decided to name him after your grandpa?" Roshi asks Goku.
"Yeah, and surprisingly he actually liked the name when he was born." Goku answers.
Bulma gets to Gohans eye level. "So, how old are you, Gohan?" She ask.
"Um, I'm four years old." He answers.
"Really now? That's the same number as the Dragon Ball on your head." Bulma points at the Dragon Ball on Gohan hat.
Suddenly Goku senses went off and he starts to look offshore. Everyone looks at him confused.
"Goku, is everything okay?" Bang curiously asks.
"There's two strong energies, and it's heading straight towards us." Goku was sweating heavily. What could possibly be after them. Roshi and Bang look at the same direction and sweat a little.
"Oh yeah...something horrifying is coming." Roshi mumbles.
"Yes, I've never felt anything like it." Bang adds in.
Suddenly, to figures appear above the water and land on the Kame House. Everyone gets on guard by their sudden approach. When they get a good look at the two, they were surprised that one of them looks like Goku.
Bardock inspects Goku and smiles. Goku was taken aback by the the smile.
"I've finally found you...son."
Don't worry, Saitama will be in the next chapter you goofies.
