So, I know this is a bit unusual, but this isn't actually a fanfiction. I came up with the idea for a regency romance novel today. And I just started writing and before I get too much further I wanted some outside opinions. A type of pre-Beta readers if you will. So please if you wouldn't mind reading, it's just one chapter. Short filler for season 3, episode 4. Set from when Colin is left on the dancefloor at the ball until he reaches Penelope's carriage. Just dipping my toe back into writing after a long, long hiatus. To quote Colin, "It is good to be back."

It was her next question that stupefies him, rendering his brain incapable of any coherent thought for a split second—for what could he possibly reply to a query from her like "Who are you?"
