Noah the Invoked – Chapter 2

Noah LP: 8000
Joey LP: 8000
"Then, as the challenged, I will go first," I said as I drew my sixth card; as this was a version of the game that, while it had more advanced cards, the state of the game's rules were still in GOAT as it were, not even Master Rule 1 as I remembered it.
This meant that it was not the Extra Deck, but the Fusion Deck, and you could have a lot more cards in it, that being 30 cards at maximum, and I had taken full advantage of that.
With my new and improved Invoked Deck, as Invoked worked best with other Fusion Archetypes and monsters that had a wide variety of attributes, I had first thought of using it with the Charmers, but discarded that, then the Dark Magicians, but also discarded that idea, before finally landing on a newly released set of monsters that fit with an Alchemist.
And in my hand, I already had some of the cards needed, though sadly, I lacked Aleister to use the Invocation in my hand, so I would start the duel off slowly. "I set a monster in Defense Position and end my turn." It was so weird to actually play Duel Monsters like this, though that would soon change when Seto woke up and made Duel Disks.
"That's it?" Joey asked in surprise. "Then allow me, I draw, and then I activate the Quick-Play Spell Card – Fighting Flame Sword!" Joey declared as he activated the spell. "This allows me to add Fighting Flame Swordsman to my hand."
"This is certainly different from Joey's previous strategy," Tristan commented.
"Granpa helped him a lot, and his new deck works really well for him it seems."
"So far, I remember his first deck being all monsters that didn't work together very well," Teá added as she crossed her arms beneath her bust, raining her rather larger breasts a little.
"Can you let me play?" Joey shot back. "Because I am now gonna summon him!" Joey laid the card on the field. "And when he is summoned, I can add a Spell or Trap from my deck that mentions my new favorite dude," Joey explained as he went back into his deck. "I select my Salamandra Fusion Card. Next, I will activate the effect of my Salamandra, The Flying Flame Dragon, to equip him to my Warrior. What do you say to that?"
"I say that is a good strategy… for a newbie," I trash-talked, which made Joey fume.
"Why you, let's see you be this high and mighty when I destroy your monster. I attack your face-down with my Fighting Flame Swordsman!" Joey declared dramatically.
"Unfortunately for you, the monster you are attacking is my Mokomoko, who, due to being an Illusion-Type, can't be destroyed by battle, though neither can yours," I explained as I flipped the card to Face-Up Defense Position.
"Say that?" Joey shouted in shock.
"Illusion-Type?" Tristan asked as he looked at the card.
"It's a new type of monster that, as Noah stated, shares the effect of not being able to be destroyed in battle or destroy an opponent's Monster," Yugi explained to her friends.
"It's definitely very cute," Teá said as she took a quick glance at the card.
"And since it is a Flip Monster, its Flip Effect activates, which allows me to draw one card," I said as I did just that.
"I set a card face-down and end my turn," Joey said.
"My turn, I draw, and I immediately use the card I drew, the Field-Spell – Magical Meltdown, which allows me to add an Aleister the Invoker to my hand," I said as I quickly showed the card.
"So you run a Fusion Deck?" Yugi asked.
"Yes, the ultimate fusion deck; allow me to show you the two halves that make it up," I said. "But first, I use Mokomoko's effect to flip it back face-down."
"Wait, that just means it can be flipped face-up again, and you can just draw a new card?" Joey asked.
"And since it can't be destroyed in battle, he also has a continuous defense unless Joey has effect removal," Yugi spoke with enthusiasm as she marveled at the setup.
"Exactly, but I won't do that. Instead, let me show you the two parts of my deck that make it one of the strongest," I said as I began my combo. "First, I will activate Invocation to fuse Aleister the Invoker and Emissary from the House of Wax in my hand to Fusion Summon, Invoked Purgatrio!"
"It just has 2300 Attack Points; it can't beat over my Swordsman," Joey stated with confidence.
"And he gains 200 Atk for each card you control, putting him at 2900," I added, and Joey's face paled a little. "But I am not done yet; I Normal Summon Mirror Swordknight, but he is not staying around for long as I release him to Advance Summon, Big-Winged Berformet," I said. "And then he is Summoned. I add a Level 4 Beast to my hand and a Chimera Fusion."
"Ehh, I activate my Trap Card - Salamandra with Chain, equipping to my Fighting Flame Swordsman, increasing his attack by 700, and putting your Invoked Purgatrio in face-down Defense Position," Joey responded.
"That is fine," I said back. "I activate Chimera Fusion to fuse my Berformet and Gazelle to Fusion Summon! Chimera, the King of Phantom Beasts," I said as I took out the card from my massive Fusion deck.
"Okay, what is that supposed to do?" Joey asked.
"I am not done yet, as using Chimera Fusion's effect, I can add back to my hand, and then I will use it again," I said. "But this time, I will use two cards from my hand and my Invoked Purgatrio to Fusion Summon, the Ultimate Beast! Come forth, Guardian Chimera!" I announced dramatically. "And now the chaining happens since the Tao the Great Chanter in my hand got sent to the Graveyard; I can Special Summon an Illusion Monster from my Graveyard in defense position, then Guardian Chimera activates, and then Gazelle as when it is used for Fusion Summon, I can add an Illusion Monster to my hand. I choose Nightmare Apprentice."
"Wow, he is good," Tristan said.
"He is Seto's older brother," Teá stated. "And she was really good."
"And they both seem to like Fusion," Yugi added.
"All three of us do," I added. "the chain resolves and Chimera destroys your Fighting Flame Swordsman, and I get to draw two cards, as I used two materials from hand and one from my field."
"No," Joey cried as he moved his cards to the Graveyard, and I drew and summoned Mirror Swordknight back to my field. "But my own effect activates; in a new chain, my Salamandra, Swordsman, and Chain activate in that order; Chain banishes itself to Fusion Summon, Fighting Flame Dragon in Defense Position. It sends my monsters back to the deck, then Salandra adds another Salamandra with Chain to my hand, and my Fighting Flame Swordsman sends Mirage Swordsman to my Graveyard."
"Nice moves; now I Special Summon Nightmare Apprentice by discarding a card, and then she is Summoned. I can add an Illusion monster to my hand I choose Vouiburial, the Dragon Undertaker." I said. "Battle Phase, I attack your monster with my Chimera, the King of Phantom Beasts!"
"And then my monster is destroyed. I can Special Summon Mirage Swordsman from my Graveyard to my field, and I do so in Attack Position." Joey declared smugly.
"…I will just attack with my Guardian Chimera then," I said as I quickly read the card.
"I knew you would, so that is why I activate its effect to destroy itself and your monster; since he is destroyed by a card effect, I can-" I cut Joey off.
"You can't."
"Ehh, why not?"
"It needs to be destroyed by the effect of another card to Special Summon," I said.
"Huh?" Joey sounded as he picked up the card and read it over and he was silent.
"Misread it, didn't you?" I asked and Joey's face became a bit more red. "Well, I am going to attack you directly with Nightmare Apprentice."
Joey LP: 6000
"I go into my end phase, Chimera the King of Phantom Beasts' effect resolves, and 1 random card from your hand is discarded." Joey made a face as he mixed his cards, and I removed one.
Revealing that it was a copy of Flame Swordsrealm.
"I draw…" Joey said, but he quickly trailed off as it seemed he got a dead draw. "I… set a card and end my turn."
"Oh no, Joey," Teá said sadly.
"Nice duel, Joey, but this is now over." I go to my Battle Phase and attack you directly with all of my monsters, bringing your life points exactly to 0."
"Damn, I lost," Joey said as he sighed.
"I think you have the opposite problem of what you had before if Teá's comment is anything to go by," I said as I began sorting my cards.
"And what is that?" Joey asked.
"You've got too many spells and traps now and not enough monsters," I said as I finished sorting my cards.
"I guess that is true," Yugi said as she quickly looked through Joey's deck. "You've got way more spells and traps than monsters, and while that works for some decks, it doesn't work for every deck."
"Going to have to go back over it then," Joey said.
"It is a constant evolution," I said. "I just upgraded my deck, as mentioned, and later on, it might change again."
"That is true; I always update all my decks when new stuff comes out," Yugi said.
"You have multiple decks?" I asked.
"Yeah, I have some that are favorites, but I believe in every single one of them." Damn, this Yugi was a real Bastion, then.
"So, do you wanna have a duel then?" I asked.
"Sure," Yugi replied, a big smile on her face.
"You might want to delay that a little because I've finished with the first wave of snacks." Came the voice of Mrs. Muto as she returned to the living room, the stacked woman carrying in a plate of various cookies and cakes alongside sodas. "I hope you are all having a good time, and if you plan to stay for dinner, please say so so I know how much to make."
And before any of them could respond, she returned to the kitchen.
"Well, snacks first, I guess," I said as I looked at all the sugar she had brought in.
"Snacks first," The others agreed, and just like that, what I had expected to be a short trip ended up being a much longer day than I had expected at the Muto household as I and the others ended up staying for dinner, Mrs. Muto ending up making Pizza for everyone as she was apparently a culinary experienced woman who once upon a time was a genuine professional chef.
"So, Big Bro, how's your day?" Mokuba asked me as I got back home.
"It was… pretty nice, actually," I answered.
"I see… are you friends with them now?" She asked.
"I guess I am Mokuba, I guess I am," I responded. "And when Seto returns to us, I hope we can all be friends together."
"Yeah, friends… that sounds nice," She said, and before I could ask what was wrong as clearly something was, she continued speaking. "Anyway, Seto is still out, but Kiara is taking care of her excellent as usual, and since you already got dinner, I am going to head to bed."
"Sure…" I said as Mokuba headed into her room, leaving me in the hallway. "Good night, Mokuba."
I guess she was upset that I had a good time without her, as we usually did everything together with Seto, but her current Mind Crushed status made that difficult. It wasn't like I had planned to stay the entire day. Mrs. Muto was just a very difficult to say no to a woman.

"Stupid Big Bro, stupid Nii-san, stupid Noah," Mokuba whined as she lay in her bed, her clothes discarded on the floor, leaving her entirely naked. "Making friends with the person that hurt Seto, thinking we are just friends and siblings, doesn't he see that we want to be more?"
So dense, he continued to ignore all her hints.
A hand went down to her pussy, while another went up to her B-cup breasts, as she imagined it was Noah's hands that were touching her.
What did she have to do, to make him see her like a potential lover? Strip naked and put on a sign that said 'Breed Me!'
Shit, she might have too.
