Disclaimer: The old/canon Naruto is not actually used much at all in this story and a new last name, and an adjusted personality (Will be different an extent) will be placed for obvious reasons if you clicked on a story like this, but I am so sorry if I got your hopes up for the original canon character, but tbh making the canon Naruto character and abilities is wayyy too boring, so I hope you understand, HOWEVER, I will work chakra into the story somehow, so just bare with me it's not totally ditching Naruto's character and powers.
Chapter 3: Ai's…Returned?
My Love with a Star Begins Now, or Love Now/My Love for short, is a reality TV show where usually six young folk gather together and get to know each other while expressing their feelings for one another, and if one is lucky then they might find themselves true love at the end of the season! Or so they say…..,,because this time around there will be two extra special guests in this special season that'll stir things up in this season filled with blooming love! "Hello!" An empty classroom filled with young teenagers sitting at a combined desk calls out to another young teenager entering the room. This teenager is a girl with dark brown eyes and long waist length black hair with square cut bangs over her forehead as well as chest length strands over each side, alongside her physical appearance she wears a highschool girls tan uniform with a red bow on the collar of the neck as well as a dark brown skirt with black ankle length socks and brown shoes to go with it.
"Oh hi! I'm Yuki Sumi, I'm a freshman." The newly named Yuki Sumi says with a welcoming smile before walking over and sitting down, she's more popularly known for being a fashion model that's really well put together.
"I'm Nobuyuki Kumano, dancing is my thing." A boy with brown eyes and semi medium neck length hair that's styled in a middle part, he wears a dark brown cardigan over a white collared shirt and gray pants with black and white shoes says while standing up, introducing himself in a nice and clean orderly fashion as he sits back down, letting another girl stand up in the process.
"Akane Kurokawa, I'm a sophomore in highschool and actor." The newly named Akane says with an unsure look on her face. Unlike Yuki, Akane is more colorful with short neck length dark blue hair with light blue highlights cut into a bob similar to that of Kana Arima's hairstyle, with her blueish green eyes even matching her hair color, making her a polar opposite of Kana, who coincidentally also shares the same career choice as Akane, aspiring to be an excellent and diligent actor, or actress in their cases, unlike Yuki, Akane wears a black vest over a blue tie tied to a white collared shirt that's unique to her, just like the gray skirt she wears alongside it with gray socks and white shoes.
"I'm Mem-Cho, a junior! I have my own streaming channel, nice to meet you!" The newly named Mem says with a cat smile, having gone right after Akane happily. Mem-Cho's appearance is one rather filled with whole bunch of personality to it, ranging from her blue eyes to her short neck length dyed blonde hair that still consists of the original brown roots at the top, like Akane she wears a black vest over a white white collared shirt but instead with a blue bow around the neck part like Yuki, she also wears the same dark gray skirt and black socks as the black haired girl as well but instead with black shoes, she would also usually be wearing a pair of small devil horn cosmetics around the sides of her head, but for the sake of appearances on the first episode of Love Now she chose against it, speaking of appearances whilst she sits down another male stands up.
"Kengo Morimoto, I'm in a band, nice to meet you." The newly named Kengo says with a friendly smile, which may be appealing to a lot of the folks at home watching the show since like Nobuyuki he has a handsome face but instead with gray eyes and short silver white hair with neatly trimmed bangs that lean more to the left of his face. He wears a very similar uniform to Yuki but one that matches more to the male aesthetic since it consists of a long tan cardigan over a red tie tied to a white collared shirt and gray pants with white and black shoes.
"So tell me, what grade are you in?" Yuki asks with a smile of curiosity.
"Sophomore." Nobuyuki responds with a smile of his own.
"I'm a junior." Kengo chimes in with good timing.
"Oh, you're all older than me!" Yuki says with surprise before laughing at the thought.
"That's okay! Right?" Mem asks the other three with a questioning look, more garnering the question toward the male side respectively.
"Yeah!" Nobu responds earnestly but cheerfully whilst Kengo just nods with a smile.
"Of course." Akane responds with the utmost respect, causing Yuki to smile brightly.
"How kind! I look forward to being on the show with you all!" Yuki says with a warm smile of open arms.
"Yeah, same!" Nobuyuki says with a look of confidence.
"I wonder who the last person will be." Akane asks while looking at the door with a face of curiosity
"Yeah, me too, I also heard that we're getting two secret members on the show with us this season!" Mem says with a cat smile of excitement.
"I heard the producer was really excited to put them on the show, so they must be really special." Kengo says with a bit of envy in his voice, shrugging it off with a smile as the door to the classroom opens up once more, revealing Aqua Hoshino who sports a new haircut with the right side of his head being shorter than what it used to be, looking more buzzed than before.
"Hello!" Everyone in the room calls out with welcoming smiles on their faces, causing Aqua to smile back and wave lightly, oozing with unusual and foreign happy energy.
"I'm Aqua, man I'm feeling really nervous." Aqua says with a shy gesture before turning to his fellow males. "Hello there, how's it going?" The blonde asks with the same energetic vibe to which many people outside of the show would know as fake. "What a pain in the ass, do I really have to keep up with conversations like this?"
"So Aqua, what do you do in the industry?" Nobuyuki asks with a curious smile.
"I'm an actor, I was most recently on the final episode of Sweet Today." Aqua says with a fake energetic tone, causing Akane to look at him with an earnest face.
"I saw that you and Naruto Uzui did a great job portraying your given characters." Akane says in aw and envy.
"Right!? Everytime I watch that scene with Naruto's evil laugh I get a chill down my spine!" Mem says with a smile of enjoyment.
"I'm surprised you even had to ask Nobu, I mean that episode practically went viral." Kengo says with a sweat drop, causing Nobuyuki to rub the back of his head sheepishly.
"Well either way we're glad you aren't really an evil obsessed stalker Aqua, it just goes to show how well you played your role." Yuki says with an eye smile.
"I did my best with what I had, it was nothing really." Aqua says with an eye smile, causing Mem-Cho to blush excitedly.
"Aww you're so striking! I really admire actors abilities!" Mem says with a blushy cat smile.
"You're cute too Mem-Cho, I think I'm blushing." Aqua says with an embarrassed smile. "What the hell did I even just say? This energetic act is killing me."
"Wow, it sounds like you guys are having fun, mind if I join?" A familiar feminine voice calls out before the door to the classroom opens up, revealing the bright smiling face of Ai Fushiguro and causing everyone's eyes in the classroom to widen with excitement. "Hey there, my name's Ai Fushiguro, it's so great to finally meet you all!"
"Oh my god! It's Ai Fushiguro, the perfect doppelganger of the old top idol Ai!" Mem says with excitement, standing up and dashing towards Ai in a giddy state. "My name is Mem-Cho, I'm so honored to be in your presence!"
"Aww, thank you! The pleasure is all mine, I'm just happy to be here with you all." Ai says with a warm smile as Yuki walks over with aw.
"I take so much inspiration from your modeling career, you have a face that is so divine it's like that of a god!" Yuki says with gushing excitement, causing Ai to grin at her.
"Aw thank you! I've seen you in magazines as well Yuki, you look so perfect and adorable." Ai says with a grin, her eyes sparkling like they always do as Kengo and Nobuyuki watch on with blushes.
"Dude, she's so cute in person don't you think?" Nobuyuki says with a blush, causing Kengo to nod in agreement.
"Yeah, even without photo editing it's like she just jumped off the page, and she's our first secret member!? How the hell did they manage that?" Kengo asks with disbelief.
"Who cares, we have a whole season to hang out with Ai!" Nobuyuki comments with excitement as Aqua stares on with amazement, meeting Ai's starry gaze with his own.
Flashback - Sweet Today Wrap Party
"If you agree to do the show, I'll give you the scoop on Ai that her Agency didn't know. For example, details on her relationships with different guys." Kaburagi says with a smirk, causing Aqua to get a dark look in his eye.
"I'll do it, as long as you keep your end of the deal then I'm in." Aqua says without hesitation, causing Kaburagi to smile.
"I'll hold you to that, if you turn in a good performance all the information I have is yours to keep." Kaburagi says with an eye smile before raising his glass. "Besides, in a way you're getting a two for one deal with this offer."
"What do you mean by that?" Aqua asks with confusion before widening his eyes.
"Come on Naruto, I wanna try this next! It looks so delicious!" Ai calls out to the red blonde with excitement, causing Naruto to sigh at Ai's extravagant behavior.
"Was I really like this as a kid back in Konoha?" Naruto thought to himself with a sweatdrop, recalling himself yelling about how he'll one day become Hokage and that Ramen was the food of the gods. "I'm coming I'm coming, just don't eat too much or you'll throw up ya know."
"Don't worry I'll be careful, I just can't help but have at least one!" Ai says with a cheerful smile, causing Naruto to smile warmly.
"Ai….?" Aqua calls out, widening Ai's eyes as she turns around to see the blonde boy standing there, looking at her with pure shock, disbelief, and hope in his eyes, ditching Kaburagi in the process.
"Aqua…..can it really be?" Ai thought with wide eyes on the inside whilst keeping her composure on the outside so as to not break appearances. "You've gotten so big…and so handsome…! I feel like I could cry right now….I've missed you so much…both you and Ruby…I wish didn't have to miss out on so much of your lives….but now I'm here…..mommy's right here….I know you can feel it, I wish I could just tell you what I feel right now…." Ai thought in sadness as Aqua steps forward.
"Ai….is it really you..?" Aqua asks with hope before raising his arm slowly as Ai tilts her head in fake confusion.
"Hello there, do I know you…?" Ai asks with a fake smile, causing Aqua to flinch before lowering his arm back down. "Aqua…I know how you feel…..I know it hurts…..I feel the exact same way…..I just wish…that things had been different….so that I don't have to say all these harmful lies and act like I don't know you…I wish it could all go back to the way it used to be….."
"S-sorry…you just look like her..…." Aqua says in sadness, the gloominess present on his face as Ai smiles. "That's right….it can't be…..even if she was reincarnated…we wouldn't be the same age we are now…."
"I get that a lot…." Ai says with a solemn smile, causing Aqua to widen his eyes and look at her with surprise. "When people look at me, whether it'd be through my career as a model or in person they always say the same things….and I get it…they all see me as the Ai and have a lot of expectations for me in the future….."
"I see, that must be hard…." Aqua says with a frown before Ai smiles at him, widening his eyes once more in surprise at the identical parallels between his mother and the Ai before him.
"No I don't mind, really, don't feel bad for me." Ai says while waving her hands back and forth, confusing Aqua in the process. "The industry is a place full of lies, you see…."
"Lies are the most exquisite kind of love!" Ai' Hoshinos words ring out in Aqua's head from his previous life as those same words leave Ai Fushiguro's mouth, widening the boy's eyes.
"You see, if people see the idol Ai in me, then that just means that all of their hopes and dreams are on me, and that it's my job to deliver each of them the love that the idol Ai couldn't." Ai says with a bright smile, her eyes sparkling like the night sky as the purple stars gleam with light.
"I have to ask….what is your name…?" Aqua asks with hope in his voice.
"Oh me? My name is Ai Fushiguro, I'm with Strawberry Productions under the management of Ichigo Saitou, and with president's help I'm going to be the star that the idol Ai left vacant in the night sky of every one of her fans!" Ai says with a grin, causing Aqua's heart to beat loudly as he widens his eyes before smiling.
"Maybe there is light in a world as dark as this after all….." Aqua thought with a warm smile before clapping can be heard, causing him to turn to a smiling Naruto in confusion.
"That was well said Ai, I know you can do it if your heart is set on it, and as a part of the same Agency I will do anything in my power to help make that dream of yours come true." Naruto says with a warm smile, causing Ai to blush before smiling, confusing Aqua.
"Uh, excuse me, but how exactly do you know each other again?" Aqua asks with a raised eyebrow.
Flashback - End
"So, she's on the show too? I wonder how the hell the producer managed that, I mean I get that he was close with my mother Ai but could he be that close to this one too….?" Aqua thought in curiosity before Ai smile's brightly.
"So how long are you gonna stand up there? When are you gonna come down and greet everyone, Naruto." Ai says with a smile before looking up at the ceiling, causing the others to follow her gaze before widening their eyes, witnessing Naruto Uzui standing upside down on the ceiling effortlessly with his hair being the only thing following the laws of gravity.
"Aw, you knew I was here? Guess there's no getting past you, Ai." Naruto says before smiling, dropping down and landing on the desks before catching his fallen cane and slamming its flat bottom down onto the desk, making a satisfying cling sound effect that echoes for a moment. "So, Kaburagi got you on here too huh?"
"What the hell!?" Everyone in the room apart from Ai yells at the same time with wide eyed looks of shock, confusion, disbelief, and surprise blatant on each of their faces.
"H-how did he do that!?" Akane asks with a frightened face whilst Mem looks on with surprise.
"Yeah yeah! Do you have super powers or something!? You were totally defying gravity just now!" Mem yells with stars of aw in her eyes as Kengo sweat drops nervously.
"Super powers? No way, those don't exist….right?" Kengo asks in disbelief.
"Ye-yeah, it has to be some kind of trick, there's no way he just did that on his own!" Nobuyuki says in denial alongside a nodding Kengo whilst Yuki looks on in aw.
"I-Incredible…..not only do we get Ai Fushiguro on the show with us but now Naruto Uzui….? If this is a dream someone please don't wake me up…!" Yuki says with joy.
"Alright alright, one at a time please, first of all I'm gonna throw it out there. I don't have super powers." Naruto says with a sweat dropped eye smile.
"Then how did you just do that!?" Mem asks in excitement, causing everyone to listen in as Naruto looks at her with a devious smile.
"It's a secret." Naruto says to the dismay of everyone there. "But! What I will say is that it's a technique that allows me to walk on any surface, anyone can learn it too, just as long as they try hard enough and give it their all." Naruto says with a grin, causing them to look at him once more with excitement. "But you need someone to teach it to you, so don't get your hopes up!" Naruto says before laughing, causing everyone to drop their heads down in depression.
"Aw, but I wanted to be able to walk on the ceiling too! It would have drawn so many viewers onto my channel if I made a tutorial!" Mem pouts in disappointment, causing Naruto to chuckle at the blonde girl's excotic nature.
"That would defeat the purpose of it being a secret ya know, cause it's supposed to stay a secret." Naruto says all knowingly, causing Ai to look at him innocently.
"But you taught me it, is it really still a secret at that point as well?" Ai asks, causing everyone to look at Naruto with a deadpan as the red blonde starts sweating bullets, facepalming and sighing in annoyance.
"Ya know Ai, you suck at keeping secrets." Naruto says while stepping off the desks and walking over with a deadpan, causing Ai to cover her mouth and giggle.
"Whoops, my bad!" Ai says innocently while looking at the red blonde star eyes to heterochromic star eyes, causing Naruto to sigh and smile.
"Um…hey, Naruto, Ai." Akane mumbles hesitantly while raising her hand, causing the two to turn to her curiously. "How exactly do you two know each other…? I mean I know you're both from the same agency but…..you just seem a little close is all…." Akane asks nervously, asking the question everyone in the room except Aqua was thinking about.
"Well here we go, I already know what's coming up next." Aqua thought with a sweatdrop, having asked this question himself in the past.
"Oh, that's because we've known each other since we were kids!" Ai says with a bright smile, widening the eyes of everyone apart from Aqua and Naruto who nods in confirmation to the surprise of everyone in the room.
"Oh-! I see….that's nice…!" Akane says nervously.
"Who would've guessed that the second coming of Ai grew up with one of the best actors of our generation, it's just episode one and things are spicing up already." Mem says with a sly cat grin, wiggling her eyebrows comedically, causing Ai to blush and wave her hands back and forth.
"It's not like that I swear! We're just childhood friends!" Ai yells in blushing denial.
"Ooh? Are you sure, you look pretty red to me Ai! Are you sure it's not like that?" Yuki teases with a smirk whilst Naruto sighs with a sweat drop.
"It's gonna be a long season, I already know it, Kaburagi you mastermind…." Naruto says before grinning. "Bring it on then, Love now!"

I'm really sorry this chapter wasn't as long as the others, but there's a reason for that! I really wanted to get a chapter out before friday morning because I'm going on vacation until wednesday on the third of July (Wow what a coincidence that the second season releases then ik) and I really just wanted to get something out for you guys as a treat until I get back, I hoped you enjoyed this chapter, what will happen next on Love Now, now that Naruto and Ai are in the mix? Why are Naruto's eyes Heterochromic now? One because I think the idea of having a character like that would be cool and Two, because from a writing standpoint I really feel like it fits his character, he has aspects of his old appearance such as blonde hair and a blue eye but he also has a red eye and red highlights and straighter hair, showing the new appearance change as well as his personality change, he's not completely what he once was but he also hasn't completely changed, he still is Naruto but he has grown in more aspects than one, the appearance I gave him suits his duality personality.
Does Naruto still know his old life? Yes, this one is kind of a no brainer if you actually read what I have written, he knows his past life but he does not let it control his current life, he is a new person with a new life to live, that doesn't mean he's forgotten where he came from, he still is a Shinobi and the events of this chapter make that evident as well as the events that will be in next chapter I make will be evident of that as well.
What's with Naruto's sudden personality change? Well once again like I've stated he's become a new person that is gaining new experiences, think of it like how Aqua see's it in Oshi No Ko/My Star, he still has the knowledge of a Doctor, but he's doing something new with his life and he is growing along with his new life, you can clearly see that the adult inside him is still present and the personality is still there, but you also see that he is growing and changing as he grows up in his new life, the same can be said with Naruto here, he never knew his mom or dad, all he knows about them is that his mom is dead and that his dad deliberately abandoned him, leaving him in darkness like he once was in his old life, but thanks to Ai he is still able to keep some of what's left of his cheery and happy go lucky side.
