Chapter 3: The Son Becomes The Father
(Later in Jor-El & Lara's Home…)
There were machinery hums.
Kryptonian Jor-El's wife and son: Lara Lor-Van & Kal-El. Lara hugged Kal-El was the baby and cried, Lara & Kal-El walking to Jor-El's Science Room, he pressed buttons on the console and was working on the computer, and Jor-El grabbing noticed and turned to his wife and son, Lara held Kal-El and walked and paused.
"Have you finished?" Lara asked.
"Nearly." Jor-El said nervously...
Jor-El walk with his wife & son.
"It's the only answer, Lara. If she remains here with us she will die as surely as we will." Jor-El said.
"But why Earth, Jor-El? Zor-El & Alura. What about Kara? They're primitives thousands of years behind us. The Council gets mad at you." Lara said.
"He will need that advantage to survive. Zor-El was sent to our niece, Kara. Kara was sent to the Phantom Zone or Earth. Their atmosphere will sustain her. I have failed the Councils." Jor-El said.
The baby Kal-El looked up at his father, Jor-El smiled and he, Lara, & Kal-El walk and watched his spaceship.
"He will defy their gravity." Lara said.
"He will look like one of them." Jor-El said.
"He won't be one of them." Lara said.
"No. His dense molecular structure will make him strong." Jor-El said.
"He'll be odd. Different." Lara said.
"He'll be fast. Virtually invulnerable." Jor-El said.
"Isolated, alone." Lara said.
Jor-El sighs.
"He will not be alone. He will never be alone. I noticed." Jor-El said.
He noticed his pod-like ship, noticed the ship: Kal-El Jor-El & mission: Protect this infant alien, while keeping her true origin secret…
(Later in The Councils…)
The Council watched the Kryptonian as an AI.
"The energy input to Jor-El & his brother Zor-El's quarters...is now in excess. Our data indicates the loss is due to a misuse of energy." The Kryptonian soldier AI said.
"Investigate." The Krypton man said.
"And if the investigation proves correct?" The Krypton another man asked.
"He knew the penalty he faced. Even as a member of this council. The law will be upheld. Call your troops, NOW!" The Krypton man said.
"Yes sir." The Kryptonian soldier AI said.
The Kryptonian soldier AI was gone.
(Later at Jor-El & Lara's Home 10 minutes later…)
The little baby Ka-El's a red blanket with red trim, Jor-El fixed Ka-El's spaceship, Lara cries, kisses the cheek and goodbye to Kal-El, Lara gave Jor-El to Kal-El, Jor-El kisses the cheek and goodbye to Ka-El, Jor-El brings Ka-El to into the spaceship. Jor-El and Lara watched our son Kal-El.
"You will travel far, my little Kal-El. But we will never leave you...even in the face of our deaths. You miss me, your mother Lara, your uncle: Zor-El, aunt: Alura, and your cousin: Kara. The richness of our lives, it will be yours." Jor-El said.
The baby Kal-El watched his parents.
"All that I have, all that I've learned, everything I feel…all this and more…I bequeath you, my son. You will carry me inside you all the days of your life. You will make my strength your own, see my life through your eyes...as your life will be seen through mine. The son becomes the father, and the father the son. This is all I...All I can send you…Kal-El." Jor-El said.
The baby Kal-El saying goodbye to his parents and Jor-El & Lara were hugging and sad.
(Meanwhile...)
Kryptonian soldier troops went and took Jor-El and Alura's home…
