Chapter 1: June 8,1978
The Davis's family was moving into their new house that has now finished being built. Rory, short for Aurora, was bored while sitting on the ground. Not seeing her father coming up towards her.
"Honey why don't you introduce yourself to our new neighbor, I heard they have a kid your age." said David pointing towards Molly and Arthur Weasley who are outside watching their son Bill play with Charlie while holding baby Percy.
Rory sighs looking in the direction that her father is pointing towards, she really didn't feel like going over there. But it beats the purpose of doing nothing beside watching her father and Mother bring in furniture in the house. So, she got up and headed over to her new neighbor's house to introduce herself.
Molly and Arthur were watching Bill and Charlie play while Molly was holding Percy; noticing a little girl around Bill aged with an adult that must be her father coming towards them. Looking at the house and seeing movers bring stuff in automatically told Molly that this was a new family.
Smiling at the girl and her father she placed a hand on Arthur's shoulder to get his attention, thankfully it had work and he looked at her with a raised eyebrow. Wondering what Molly wants he asked her a question.
"What is it Molly?" Arthur asked Molly.
Molly nodded her head toward the two people who were coming over towards them.
"Our new neighbors are coming over here and it looks like he has a daughter around Bill's age."
"Ah." muttered Arthur as he and Molly got up calling Bill and Charlie over; who had run over to them.
The family of four meet up with the two families of three.
David smiles at his new neighbors, squeezing his daughter's shoulders. "Hello, I just wanted to introduce my daughter, my wife and I to you guys. I'm David, this is my daughter Aurora, my wife Leah is just over at the house getting things settled."
Molly smiles at Aurora and David. "Well welcome to the neighborhood, I'm Molly Weasley. This is my husband Arthur, and these are my three boys Bill,Charlie and Percy."
Bill and Charlie smile at Aurora who had smiled back liking the feeling of being with them for some reason.
"Do you want to play with us ? If it's okay with your dad."
Rory's eyes widened looking at her dad for permission since this sounded more fun than watching her parents bring stuff in. David nodded at his daughter, giving him his permission for her to play.
"Of course you can sweetheart."
Rory beamed at him and ran off with the two boys not realizing just how much their friendship would be dear to her. While the three parents chuckled at the sight of them and Molly promising to bring Rory back once they are finished with moving things inside the house.
