Summary: This chapter takes place after The Hellfire Gala of 2023 and the mutant massacre on Krakoa.

Chapter 5: The aftermath of the mutant massacre

Earth

While Raven was on Mars, his husbands had finished resurrecting the mutants on his list. They have all been taken back to Raven's mansion when they sensed Raven's pain.

As Raven and his husbands dealt with the Genesis War on Mars. On Earth, more specifically Krakoa it is the day of the Hellfire Gala. And everyone was excited.

Just as the new X-Men team was announced, the members of Orchis attacked. Many mutants were killed but Doctor Stasis made Xavier surrender to Orchis. Xavier enacted certain protocols in their minds while the mutants were shoved through the Krakoan Gates. Of the confirmed deaths Prodigy (David Alleyne), Frenzy (Joanna Cargill), Cannonball (Sam Guthrie), Dazzler (Ali Blaire), Jubilee (Jubes Lee), Black Queen (Lourdes Chantel), Jean Grey, and Iceman (Bobby Drake).

Upon Arakko the son and son-in-law of Jean Grey sensed her death along with those that died on Krakoa.

Nate and Raven both let out physical and psychic screams. Their mother was dead and at the hands of Orchis. Nate and Raven declare war on Orchis.

Before the battle featuring Raven revealing his elder god self, Nate, Ironfire and Akihiro teleport in.

Twenty minutes later, Raven and Miguel teleport in. They have all arrived inside Raven's study inside the new mansion.

Raven walks to his office chair and plops down while his husbands all take seats around the room.

Five minutes pass by, and there's a knock on the door.

When Raven says "Enter." His son and daughter walk in.

Adam says, "We tried to get many of the mutants here but I was unable to get portals on every gate."

Raven says, "It's ok. The important thing is you tried."

Raven pauses, as he's thinking. Once he is done with his thoughts, he smiles. He has talked it over with the Phoenix Force. She will leave him a small fragment of her power, while she heads to Jean Grey to resurrect her.

So after making his hand turn black, he punches himself in the chest. He's feeling around for the fiery hot entity that was inside of him.

He finds the entity and slowly but surely he pulls a ruby red stone with flames engraved on it from his chest.

Once the stone was in Raven's hands, it crumbled to Ash, and then it burst into flames. A small bird-like figure appears in the flames.

Raven says, "Go to Jean. She needs you more than anything."

The Phoenix caws and then flies out through the window and once it was far enough away, there's a small blink and the Phoenix has teleported away.

Miguel asks, "How was it sharing a body with the Phoenix?"

Raven replies, "not too bad. It was mostly like being wrapped in a big warm hug."

Just as Akihiro was about to speak, both Raven and Nate froze. Their telepathy is going wild.

It seems that Iceman AKA Bobby Drake was brought back to life via his boyfriend Romeo. Cyclops AKA Scott Summers was badly wounded at The Treehouse in New York and as he was being rushed to a nearby hospital, he was captured by Orchis.

Everyone thought that Juggernaut, a new member of the X-Men roster, was killed but he was captured alongside Cyclops. It was a sad day when Juggernaut was defeated. When he was empowered by Cyttorak, he worked as Cyttorak's avatar; but since Cain is no longer empowered by the crimson gem.

In Jean's seemingly final moments after being stabbed by Moira with a Blightswill blade, she planted into the mind of Doctor Stasis that Angelica Jones was one of their henchmen when in reality, Firestar is the X-Men's spy within Orchis.

Raven and Nate were stunned by this massive load of information.

Suddenly Raven stands and reaches out with his hands trying to grasp something only that he could see, but he cusses and punches his desk as he misses. He had just missed capturing Rebecca Essex AKA Mother Righteous.

Jon asks, "Are you ok, Raven?"

Raven plops down. "Yes. I had almost captured Rebecca as she was kidnapping Krakoa's Atlantic Island. But she proved to be too fast. Damn it "

Miguel walks over to Raven and wraps his arms around him. Miguel says "We will get her. Or we'll let the Phoenix touched Jean Grey handle her."

Everyone chuckles at wanting to see Rebecca go up against Jean while she has the Phoenix Force.

Akihiro says, "What if we draw Mother Righteous out and reveal to her that Doctor Statis and Orbis Stellaris are working together and that they are trying to bring her to heel?"

Nate, Miguel, Jon and Raven all look at Akihiro in astonishment. Akihiro asks, "What? Is it a bad plan?"

Raven snorts, "No love. But normally you just rush in with claws extended."

Akihiro says, "Hahaha. I'm just trying to change from the hot headed rush into everything like a Gryffindor."

Nate asks, "How do we summon Mother Righteous?"

Raven instantly blanches, "You'd need magic or blood."

Morgana speaks up, "Why not use my blood, and then use Adam's magic in conjunction with yours to summon her."

Raven sighs, even though he hates using their blood and powers he knows that it will be the only way to summon Mother Righteous to them.

Just as he was about to speak up, Tsuyoi's astral head makes an appearance.

"Brother mine, I'm sad to say this but Asherah has escaped from the prison we put her in. Since escaping she has decided to restart the civil war here on Arakko."

Raven hisses, he can't believe that she escaped prison. But after thinking on it, he realized that someone helped her escape. Raven relays this to Tsuyoi.

Tsuyoi smirks, "We have her. The one who helped Asherah escape is her sister Isca the Unbeaten."

Raven says "Good. I will send Nate up with a pair of handcuffs that will prevent Isca from using her powers."

Tsuyoi smirks. He says, "A brilliant idea. I have one. I will use the horsemen of Life to help Ororo."

Raven rolls his eyes, and sends Tsuyoi's astral head back to his body.

Raven looks to the side and with one hand glowing Gold, he opens up his pocket dimensions. He looks in and rummages about looking for the power negation cuffs.

Soon he finds them; the cuffs are made from uru which can only be found on Asgard, the bracelets are 5.90551 wide with runes placed all over and around the cuffs.

Raven pulls out the black as space cuffs, and hands them over to Nate.

Raven says "On the chain in between the cuffs is the Greek symbols of Alpha and Omega. Once the cuffs are around Isca's wrists, Tsuyoi can push all four or only two. It doesn't matter if it's Omega first or Alpha first."

Nate nods and with a pop he teleports away.

Raven then pulls out of the dimensional storage, a pair of black sunglasses with silver detail and purple runes.

After closing the dimensional storage and slipping on the sunglasses, a 3-d computer interface appears with a intact keyboard. Since Raven is the Elder God of Magic, Sorcery, witchcraft, crossroads, boundaries, ghosts, necromancy, Night, Infinite Names, and Chaos he uses this computer network to keep tabs on his domains.

Checking in on Tsuyoi and the ritual he's working, Raven sees the various mutants that stand for the elements; Rictor is Earth, The Orc is air, Tsuyoi is water and sunfire is fire. They are the Horsemen of life. Raven puts into his domain of magic and sorcery to allow the ritual to complete. And watches as Kaorak was born.

Kaorak, from what Raven can tell looks to be a humanoid being made up of plant matter from Arakko. He looks like Man Thing Also known as Dr. Ted Sallis. Now Man Thing stood about seven feet tall, but Kaorak seems to be standing at 2,716.5 feet tall.

Raven zooms in on the beings left eye, and sees Ororo Munroe standing there challenging Asherah.

Raven's children and husbands were all watching the smackdown that was about to happen. It seems that while watching everything going on, Nate was able to teleport back in with none the wiser.

Raven turns the 3d monitor towards his husbands and kids; Raven then takes a look into the X-Men that are in the White Hot Room AKA The Core of Creation.

Raven continues to watch as Mother Righteous manipulated everyone and then kidnaps the body of Jean Grey. She has Jean attached to a leash and they are walking away from the other Mutants.

Raven cusses. Soon an alarm on his computer went off. He checks it out and sees Mystique plus Nightcrawler talking. He listens to the conversation and finds out that Kurt is the son of Mystique and Destiny. That his demonic looks came from when Mystique touched Azazel. Mystique is a gene shaper and as such was able to provide Irene (Destiny) with enough DNA to conceive Kurt.

Raven then turns off that viewing. He then turns on a video camera that's watching the posts of Orchis. Raven curses when he sees that someone in Orchis got a hold of a sample of the Techno Organic virus. It can't be because of Warlock since he was here at the new X-mansion. And the reason behind Raven's worry, Orchis has developed the Hound Program. It's sort of like the one Rachel Summers was a part of in an alternate future. But out of the Hounds Tyrone Johnson AKA Cloak and Tandy Bowen AKA Dagger are the only Human mutates. As they don't have an active X-gene. Their powers manifested due to some recreational new drug and the manipulations of the Eldritch being known as D'Spayre.

While Pantu Hurageb AKA Reaper, Fatale, Blake Schiel AKA Animax and Maria Callasantos AKA Feral are mutants and have active X-genes. They have been corrupted by the Techno Organic virus and look frightening. On Feral, there seems to be a muzzle over the lower half of her face along with black claws with faint lines of gold lines.

Raven curses as he sees that Fatale had horns and claws made up of the virus. Reaper had both of his hands shaped into scythes and along with the other mutants he has somehow regained his mutant powers. Blake AKA Animax, her appearance has changed dramatically. Her hair was covered in the virus and reached her feet just like Medusa of the Inhumans.

Raven turns the volume up some, and he overheard that Orchis has Warren Worthington III AKA Archangel. He then hears from the minions of Orchis that they have the Madelyne Pryor AKA Goblin Queen from battle world. She's been stripped of her mutant powers but she's still a powerful Sorceress,and they force her to brainwash Warren.

Another monitor shows Captain Krakoa attacking different places in Washington DC. Along with him is the rebuilt MLF AKA Mutant Liberation Front consistencing of Wildside, Blob, Andreas von Strucker, Andrea von Strucker. Blob and Wildside joined because they thought that Captain Krakoa was Scott Summers when in reality, he's an evil Steve Rogers who works for Hydra.

Raven turns from his computer and looks at his husbands. He asks, "Who wants to take on the Mutant Liberation Front?"

Nate pipes up, "I'll do it. Besides, I can't wait to unmask that fool who's pretending to be my father?"

Raven stands and walks over to Nate and he gives Nate a long slow kiss. Raven pulls back and looks into Nathan's eyes.

"If you get into any kind of trouble, call and we will pop in."

Nate has a dazed look on his face. He blinks a couple of times to remove the look.

He says "I'll do my best. And don't worry so. You'll get wrinkles."

And with those final words, Nate teleports away.

Raven huffs at the thought of him getting wrinkles. His other husbands just laugh.

Raven walks back over to his 3D computer, but before he arrives, he plants a kiss on his remaining husbands.

Raven plops down, and pulls up an old fashioned summoning spell. He needs to make sure that other than Blood and magic, there's nothing else that they will need to bring Mother Righteous to them.

Raven finds out that he must create a magical circle with certain candles.

Raven sighs, he looks to his husbands and asks "Who wants to go with me to the Limbo Embassy?"

Akihiro asks "Why do you need to go there?"

Raven replies, "I want to check on the mutants that have sought refuge there. Plus I need to talk with Her Goblin Majesty"

Akihiro says "Why don't Miguel and I go with you while Ironfire stays here just in case Nate needs help."

Raven looks to Jon, "Are you willing to stay here in case Nate might need backup?"

Jon thinks it over and replies in his husky voice, "I'll stay here. I'd like to watch over everyone and maybe get to know your kids a little more."

Raven smiles. "I'm sure that they want to know more about you as well."

And with those final words, Raven walks over to Jon, pulls him up from the chair and plants a deep passionate kiss on his lips.

Raven pulls back and sees that Jon has a dazed look on his face and his eyes are glazed over.

Raven saunters over to Akihiro and Miguel, he waves goodbye and in a flash of light they are teleported away.

Jon shakes his head like a wet dog, and looks around.

Adam walks in, they begin to talk. Jon was about the same age as Raven as Jon was one of the mutants that went to Amenth.

Scene Change

Outside the Limbo Embassy

A black metal gate stands between the embassy and the world. The embassy building is a tall tower with spikes facing downwards and were a reddish brown in color.

This was a sanctuary for mutants set up by the Goblin Queen, Madelyne Pryor the current ruler of Limbo.

It's outside these gates that Raven and his husbands Akihiro and Miguel apprar in a flicker of light.

Raven notices the intercom and presses the talk button.

A few minutes pass, and a voice demands "What do you want?"

Raven calmly replies, "I am Raven Grey O'Hara, Ironfire Howlett and I'm here to visit Her Goblin Majesty, the Goblin Queen."

The voice states "Stay there." And with those final words they are left to wait.

Raven hates to wait. So he conjures up some chairs with protections engraved into them so that he and his husbands can relax. They did sit down, and Raven then conjured a sun blocking umbrella and some drinks while they wait.

Twenty minutes pass by and Miguel notices that the gates have opened. And a woman in the lead was wearing a skimpy outfit; thigh high stiletto boots, what looks like a thong, a revealing camisole, a long ragged cape, a crown with horns and in her left hand was the scythe of sorrows. The blade of the Scythe was a blood red and far wider and longer than the average Scythe. This woman was the Goblin Queen, Her Goblin Majesty Madelyne Pryor.

Miguel nudges his husband, Raven looks to Spider-Man and Miguel waves towards Madelyne.

Raven hums and then stands. With a flick of his wrist the chairs, drinks and umbrellas vanish.

Madelyne says "You wished to speak with me."

Raven smiles, and says "Of course dear child. But perhaps we should get out of the sun.'

Madelyne nods and with a wave of her hands, invites Raven, Miguel and Akihiro to follow her inside.

Raven follows, while his husbands follow him. Behind them the gates slowly close.

Madelyne creates a bubble around them all and has them lifted up and to the top of the tower.

Upon entering the tower and Madelyne's office they are greeted by Alex Summers also known as Havok.

Madelyne asks, "What do you wish of me?"

Raven takes a seat, "I need to know the fears of one Mother Righteous, whose name is Rebecca Essex and is a clone of the original. Plus some of the mutants that were here are now missing."

Alex asks, "Who's missing?"

Raven replies, "Feral AKA Maria Callasantos, Reaper AKA Reaper, Fatale, and Animax AKA Blake Schiel. Plus Dagger and Cloak are missing. Well I found them, but Orchis has them and they've been made in Hounds via the Techno Organic virus."

Alex curses, and Madelyne says, "I will look for her fears and I thank you for the information. I do have a question though."

Raven smiles, "I know what you want to ask. But by all means go ahead "

Madelyne asks, "Who are you truly?"

Raven smiles, "I am Raven Grey O'Hara, Ironfire Howlett; Elder God of Magic, Sorcery, witchcraft, crossroads, boundaries, ghosts, necromancy, Night, Infinite Names, and Chaos. "

Alex and Madelyne's mouths drop open in shock. They can't believe that they are in the presence of an Elder God.

Raven says, "I'm not great with finding out someone's fears. That's why I came to you. Plus Warren had been kidnapped by Orchis. He's currently being brainwashed by the other Goblin Queen."

Madelyne asks, "What other Goblin Queen?"

"This is a version of you from Battleworld. She willingly gave up her x-gene in hopes that it would make her a stronger Sorceress. But it didn't as I denied her every time she tried to become stronger. Plus she has a Demonic appearance featuring Hooves, horns,wings and a prehensile tail. And let's not forget about the Bamf Dragon." Replies Raven.

Madelyne hums, "I've tried to get more information on Mother Righteous, but at this moment she's more powerful plus with them not being on Earth, there's nothing for me to do."

Raven hums, "Don't worry about it. There are times that I forget that she's a Sorceress and has made deals with many people and beings. Do keep an eye on the mutants here. I have a bad feeling that Orchis might attack you here."

Alex says "But we are an embassy. They can't do that."

Miguel barks out a laugh, "Orchis seems to think that they can do no wrong. So they won't care that this is an embassy."

Raven says "The reason the mercy crown didn't work is because the missing mutants aren't on earth anymore. "

Alex asks, "Then where are they? "

Raven gives a small smile, "They are in The White Hot Room. It's a realm that serves both as the afterlife and a base of operations for the Phoenix and its hosts. But your brother Scott is being held at The Bloom. "

Madelyne asks "What's The Bloom? "

Raven grimaces, "It's a space station in orbit around Earth. Orchis is planning on Scott to stand trial. But that'll be probably after they have tortured him."

Alex storms out of the office, Raven says, "I'm sorry to have been the bearer of bad news."

Madelyne thanks Raven, while Raven grabs Akihiro and Miguel. Raven teleports away leaving Maddie to help with Alex.
