Summary: The arrival of Rachel and Rasputin IV.
Chapter 8: The arrival of the Phoenix of War
Elixir rushes over to Raven and Nate to see if he can help. Unfortunately for him, he can't do anything as it's a psychic echo of their sister Rachel Grey AKA Askani dying.
Raven grits his teeth and finally sits upright.
Raven then happens to look over at a monitor and sees that Moira's formerly No-place has been hijacked by Charles, Rebecca and Rasputin IV.
He finds out that Charlie had been trying to kill a young Moira when Rachel prevented him. In the end it was Charlie that shot and killed Rachel.
He sees Charlie about to shoot Rasputin IV when Raven reaches out and pulls her to the White Hot Room.
Rasputin arrived and was stunned at what she was seeing. She knew that Mother Askani was in touch with the mutants that were in the White Hot Room, but she was stunned at the sight before her.
Raven says, "Hello Rasputin. Welcome to the White Hot Room. I brought you here to save you from Charlie."
Rasputin is still stunned, she doesn't know who this is. As from her time, this never happened.
Raz asks, "Who are you?"
Raven smiles, "I am Raven Grey O'Hara-Ironfire-Howlett, Elder God of Magic, Sorcery, witchcraft, crossroads, boundaries, ghosts, necromancy, Night, Infinite Names, and Chaos."
But before that could continue taking a flash of white light blinds them all.
After blinking a couple hundred times, Raven sees Rachel Grey AKA Askani wearing a blood red dress.
Rachel sees Raven and says, "Who are you?"
Raven smiles, "Well met, starchilde. "I am Raven Grey O'Hara-Ironfire-Howlett, Elder God of Magic, Sorcery, witchcraft, crossroads, boundaries, ghosts, necromancy, Night, Infinite Names, and Chaos. And I am here to help the mutants."
Rachel doesn't know what to believe. Raven looks at her and says, "Jean's egg is in there."
Raven was pointing towards the Krakoa building.
Rachel takes off running. Raven feels like they won't be able to wake Jean but maybe giving ignition to her body, might just wake up Jean and the Phoenix Force.
Raven's interactive computer gives a beep, and he sees Charlie Xavier talking to Nimrod and Karima Shapandar. He wants to team up to save the mutants. But he doesn't realize I'd that idea too late. The machines have built Sentinel City and plan on wiping out all life on Earth.
Raven isn't happy with what he overheard. But he'll make do.
Raven looks to Hope, "We've got to wake Jean up faster. I need an old fashioned Pyre built. If we can ignite Jean, hopefully it will bring forth the Phoenix faster."
Hope sighs, but looks to everyone else. They all nod and go hunting for any pieces of wood.
Raven looks at Rachel, and nods. She walks over to David Alleyne AKA Prodigy.
She tells him that the M'kraan crystal is the Nexus of all realities. And with the dimensions he and her other X-Men went to, she will be taking the essences of all of them and putting them within Krakoa and then we will be putting it in mom.
They leave and begin their process to put the essences in Jean.
At one point Hope talks with Irene Adler (Destiny) and finds out that she's Kurt Wagner's biological mother while Raven Darkhölme (Mystique) was his father.
Soon it's time, Raven (Elder God) watches as Hope and the Five prepare the mutants to head back to Earth via Krakoa and Nathaniel Essex (Mr. Sinister).
Raven walks forward, "Those of you that aren't fighting with the X-Men you will be teleported to my home where a lot of mutants reside. There's no need for senseless Death even if it means bringing back Jean Grey."
And with those final words, Raven opens a portal to his home and allows those mutants that weren't taking action against Orchis.
Once the mutants that couldn't or wouldn't fight have arrived on Earth, Raven has his husbands go to earth as well.
Miguel asks, "Why can't you come with us?"
Raven smiles, "My body can handle Cosmic Flames and as such I will be needed in helping The Phoenix Goddess regain control of herself and The Phoenix Force."
His husbands aren't happy but they realize that as a former Host and a God, he must protect humanity and that is the mutants. They kiss Raven and step through the portal.
Adam and Morgana are already on Earth but they tell Raven that they will see him later.
Raven's family waves to him and the portal finally closes.
Raven turns around and watches as the mutants prepare to head back home via Krakoa.
He watches as Mister Sinister does some sort of Alchemy and Raven's eyes get big when the golden eggs allow the mutants to walk into them without being dead first.
When the eggs disappear, Raven turns back to his computer screens and watch as flowers bloom on Krakoa releasing the X-Men of War. They are ready to take the war to Orchis. He sees them fighting Stark Sentinels and multiple Nimrods.
As he was watching the screens, everything begins to darken. Raven cusses, and tries to fix his screens, but he stops when he sees the bodies of Darkforce users explode into Darkforce energy. And that their powers were being used to darken the planet systemically blocking out the sun.
Raven begins to curse, he looks up "Phoenix of Light, Hope Summers comes to me."
Hope teleports in, with confusion written on her face.
Raven says, "We need to ignite Jean's funerary pyre now."
Hope nods and runs of to do just that.
Meanwhile Raven takes a deep breath and slowly tries to relax. But he needs to create a team of hunters.
Purple wings appear above his head, his telepathy is active.
He contacts Akihiro and he tells him what is going on
"Love, I need you to tell Adam to raise the wards. The ones that can manipulate the Darkforce have become Portals for that energy. That energy is blocking out the sun and is currently letting the vampires out to play. Between you, Nate, Miguel and Jon you need to create a team of hunters to help protect the people of earth."
Scene change
On Earth at a well built expensive looking mansion a portal in the back yard opens up
The mutants that were in the White Hot Room walk through the portal and to earth, specifically the new school for youngsters that Raven runs.
Once everyone gets through, Raven's husbands look back to Raven. They wave and watch as the portal closes
Miguel turns to the mutants from the White Hot Room and says, "Welcome back to earth."
As soon as he says that, the mutants that have returned all pass out.
Miguel looks to Adam, "What's going on?"
Adam uses his Magicks and scans some of the mutants.
He finally says, "Time flows different here than it did in the Core of Creation and as such, their bodues are growing up. Nate will you help me by putting them into a deep sleep?"
Nate smiles, "I would be honored to help you. Let's get to work."
Adam uses his magical abilities to put some of the mutants into a deeper sleep while Nate utilizes his telepathy.
Afterwards they then take the returned mutants to the med labs to keep an eye on them.
Back upstairs in Raven's office, Akihiro was just contacted by Raven.
Raven says, "I need you to tell Adam to raise the wards around the mansion and the surrounding areas. The Darkforce users have all been turned into portals and are slowly blocking out the sun. I will be sending you a list of hunters that will help you all."
Raven ends his telepathic conversation, and Adam walks into the office.
Akihiro tells Adam what was relayed to him. Adam cusses, and heads over to a painting of Black Raven. Adam pushes on the painting's head and then both claws.
The painting moves away revealing small crystal pillars. Adam must grab the Yellow pillar and purple pillar in order for the wards to be raised.
Jon looks at the others, "We need to hold a meeting and let the mutants know what is going on."
Everyone nods, and Nate sends a telepathic message to meet in the library as it was one of the biggest rooms in the mansion.
Once there Akihiro explains what's going on, and why the wards were up.
Everyone begins to freak out, but Morgana states that as long as they remained on the brightly lit grounds then they were safe
Soon The purple wings flare around Akihiro and it's Raven relaying the list of hunters.
The list is as follows: Northstar, Aurora, Dazzler, Sunspot, Jubilee, Magneto, Shen Xorn, Natalie Wood (Elf), Oris (Oris Light-Shaper), Kuan-Yin Xorn, Juliana Worthing (Strobe), Nathaniel Grey, Mark Sheppard (DJ), Ryoko Sabuki (Radiance), Grand Duc Bennet du Paris (Exodus), Dr. Susan "Sue" Storm Richards (Invisible Woman), Silas King (Solarr), Roberto Da Costa (Sunspot), Neal Shaara (Thunderbird), Tandy Bowen (Dagger), Illyana Rasputina (Magik), Davis Cameron (Slipstream), Heather Cameron (Lifeguard), Monica Rambeau (Photon), Adam Brashear (Blue Marvel), Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel), and Karolina Dean.
Raven tells him that they aren't just mutants he wants gathered up.
The telepathic conversation ends, and Akihiro reveals the list. But writes it down so others can read and see who's on the team.
