During a Winter Morning...
During a winter morning, the snow had completely drowned the grass and covered the entire mountain ground. Snowflakes stopped falling from the sky and a large body of clouds were hiding.
A thirteen-year-old boy named Tanjiro Kamado was currently walking toward his home up the mountain after parting ways with his senior, Saburo. Tanjiro was currently in a happy mood as he hummed to himself and walked home to his family. But as he had gotten closer to his home... Tanjiro had caught a whiff of blood coming from the direction of his home. He had gasped in shock and his eyes had widened. 'This smell... it's blood?'
A Few Minutes Later...
Tanjiro had finally made it to the outside of his house. He didn't see anything different out of the ordinary. "Mom! Takeo! Hanako! Nezuko! Rokuta! Shigeru! Nezuko!" Tanjiro had screamed but heard no response. Shortly after screaming, Tanjiro ran toward the front entrance of his house. He was worried and scared that something might have happened, so he decided to run into his family house. He noticed that his family weren't in the main family room, so he searched the main bedroom.
"Everyone!" Tanjiro screamed as he slid the family door to his family bedroom open. He then gasped at what he saw.
"Tanjiro!" The entirety of the Kamado Family had screamed as they saw Tanjiro open the door.
Tanjiro Kamado had witnessed his entire family sitting at the side of a certain someone whom is bedridden. He had bandages wrapped around his head.
"Mom... everyone..." Tanjiro muttered as his eyes watered in joy.
"Tanjiro. You're safe." Kie had said in a soft tone, witnessing her firstborn son being unharmed.
Within the next second, Tanjiro was embraced by three of his younger siblings, such as Takeo Kamado, Hanako Kamado and Shigeru Kamado.
"Tanjiro!" Hanako had cried in worry.
"You made it back, safely, brother!" Shigeru said as he hugged.
"We were so worried about you!" Hanako had cried, once more with tears of relief in her eyes.
"I was worried about you all, as well." Tanjiro said as he gently touched Shigeru's shaved head. "What happened? I smelled blood, and..." Tanjiro Kamado then gasped when he noticed a man known as Samurai Jack in the family bed. He was currently unconscious and had white emergency bandages wrapped around his head. "Who... who is this man?"
Nezuko and Kie had silently gasped, then they looked down at Samurai Jack's comatose body, sadly.
"He... he's a Samurai that fell from the sky." Kie had begun to explain.
Tanjiro had gasped. "A samurai that fell from the sky?"
"Mm-hmm." Nezuko had nodded.
"It's true, Tanjiro! After you had left, this man suddenly fell out of the sky!" Shigeru said as he looked up toward Tanjiro.
"He landed near our house and was shouting, "Show yourself, Aku!" Shigeru had chanted.
"Aku?" Tanjiro had questioned.
"We don't know who this Aku person is..." Shigeru said, while shaking his head, no.
"But he sounds like a really bad man!" Hanako said.
"Oh. So... who is this man?" Tanjiro asked as he looked at Samurai Jack's unconscious body.
"He..." Takeo sniffled.
Tanjiro had heard sniffling and looked down at Takeo, whom was his younger and still embracing him.
"His name is Jack... and he saved my life, last night!" Takeo had looked up to Tanjiro with tears in his eyes.
Tanjiro gasped when he saw Takeo's tears. 'He saved your life?' Tanjiro had thought.
Flashback
On the previous night... Takeo Kamado had snuck out of the Kamado home and followed the footprints in the snow that Samurai Jack had left behind. Snowflakes had gently fallen from the sky. He walked and walked, until he saw Samurai Jack fighting someone in the distance. He had gotten closer until he saw Samurai Jack raise his blade in the air and was preparing to strike something down-or someone.
"Hey, mister Samurai!" Takeo had waved.
Samurai Jack then gasped when he heard a boy's voice coming from eight o'clock. He then quickly looked to see that Takeo Kamado had left the house after he asked Takeo not to. His worry had risen as he saw Takeo running toward his direction.
"Were you able to handle what you were you were doing?
Samurai Jack then raised his right palm toward Takeo. "No. Don't come any closer!"
Takeo stopped running and looked confused. "But, why?"
"It's too dangerous! Go back inside, before-" Samurai Jack had attempted to convince Takeo to return home, then suddenly... Samurai Jack then turned around and saw something. He gasped in shock, then turned toward Takeo and ran toward the boy as fast as he could.
Within the next six seconds, an explosion behin Samurai Jack had occurred.
Samurai had quickly grabbed Takeo and shielded him from harm. As he was shielding Takeo, something had struck Samurai Jack in his left head. Causing him to start bleeding.
End Flashback
"He asked me to stay put in this house... and I didn't listen! It's my fault mister Jack is knocked out!" Takeo had continued to cry.
Seeing Takeo cry made Tanjiro feel sad. He wanted to say something to cheer Takeo up, but Tanjiro would only be lying or making it worse.
"We attended to his wounds. But when the wound on his head had reopened, we had to change the emergency bandages, twice." Nezuko had informed Tanjiro.
"I see." Tanjiro had frowned. He then looked at Samurai Jack's unconscious body. 'So, that's why I smelled blood.'
"Jack has been unconscious ever since that loud explosion that explosion had occurred, last night." Kie had informed Tanjiro.
"I understand." Tanjiro nodded. 'Come to think of it, I think I kind of heard it, too, when I was sleeping within mister Saburo's home. But to me, it sounded like a little rumbling. I guess all we have to do now is wait for Mister Jack to wake up. And when he does, I'll thank him for protecting my family.' Tanjiro put a light smile on my face.
Suddenly...
The entire Kamado Family heard a few knocks coming from the door. And all heads were turned toward where they heard the knocks from.
"Hm?" Tanjiro heard the knocks. 'Someone's here?'
"I wonder, who could be here during this time?" Nezuko had asked as she wondered. But it wasn't just Nezuko. The entire family had wondered.
It had taken a few seconds for Tanjiro to approach the front door after Takeo, Shigeru and Hanako had let go of him. As soon as he had gotten to the door, Tanjiro slid it open to see who the person might be. "Hello, I-" Tanjiro suddenly stopped talking as he had laid eyes on a person he has never met. Tanjiro had stared at a man whom had fair skin for a Japanese man... dark spiky hair wrapped in a ponytail and a pair of cold blue eyes. He also wore a dark Demon Slayer uniform and had two different haori designs attached together.
"Hello. Have any of you encountered a demon, recently?"
