Darkness, blackness. Both are the same.
And it is all that can be seen from the eyes of a teenage boy.
Luke was this boy, a high school student and orphan. He had become a resident of the Smash Mansion back in March, where Ganondorf had become his advisor.
He was at the mansion when the entire building was destroyed and everyone was sucked into Dade's black hole.
Now, he needed to wake up.
"Ohhh. Oh man."
The teenager was mumbling as he could see a bit of light from his eyes. They were beginning to open up more.
They fully opened at last, and what he could see in the sky was the shining sun and a blue sky.
The high schooler sat up slowly, rubbing his eyes one at a time with his hand. He opened them again and looked around his surroundings.
He was in a park, with grass everywhere, lampposts, and benches. Not to mention the people walking around in grey suits and grey hats.
"Weird." The boy said to himself as he stood back up from the grass. "There's people here, and everything looks normal and…ohhhh."
He hadn't noticed the large buildings around him, the roads, and the sidewalks where people were walking and speaking to each other.
The citizens were walking in and out of stores, having lunch, there was even one playing with what appeared to be an RC car.
He was in a city, it looked almost like New York City. But not completely.
Luke walked through the park and tried to get between views of the city that he was in, before he walked towards one of the people.
"Uh, excuse me sir." The teenager tapped on the man's shoulder.
The man in the grey adult turned around. "Hello there young man! What can I help you with?"
"Where am I?" Luke asked as he looked around everywhere.
"Why you're in New Donk City of course!" The man put his hand out to show off the city. "The city that never leaps! The highest attraction of the Metro Kingdom! Are you a tourist?"
Luke shook his head in response. "No, I just…somehow ended up here. I was sucked into a black hole with a bunch of other people. Then I woke up here."
The man in the grey suit put a hand at his chin. "Well that sure is a weird story! Maybe you hit your head or something, have a good day now!"
"Wait!" Luke quickly put his hand out. "Did you happen to see anyone else suddenly appear here? People who didn't look like you and every other person here?"
"Like every other person here? I don't know whatcha mean buddy." The man grinned. "All the inhabitants of New Donk City look different!"
The teenager looked at the people walking down the sidewalk, all in the same attire. Then he looked at the park, all in the same attire. Finally, he looked at those driving in cars.
In the same attire, almost everyone looked exactly the same.
"Sure…everyone looks different."
"But." The New Donker put a finger up. "I did see some other strange looking fellows! One of them was someone who's been to our city a bunch of times, and his name is-"
"MARIO!"
The two of them looked to see the iconic plumber running through the streets, as he jumped onto a cars front. He was launched into the air as he swung vertically on a street lamp.
"Wahoo!" Mario exclaimed as he landed in front of the New Donker and Luke. "It's a good to be back!"
The plumber just noticed who was standing right in front of him, as he ran forward and slapped Luke on the back.
"Luke! It's a good to see your a safe! I thought I was a the only one a here." Mario let out a sigh of relief.
The teenager let out a small laugh. "Yup, I'm here. Glad to know I wasn't alone."
Mario dusted himself off. "How'd you a end up here?"
Luke crossed his arms. "I don't know, I just woke up in this park. And then I met this-"
The both of them turned to where the New Donker was, but he was completely gone.
"What?" Mario looked left and right. "Where'd a that guy go?"
Luke shrugged. "Doesn't matter right now. I remember Dade destroyed the mansion, then he sent us all through that black hole. Wait! Weren't we supposed to be dead?"
Mario shook his head. "No, he must have a sent us to a this universe. MY a universe!"
The teenager's eyes slightly widened. "Wait, this is your universe? Didn't expect it to be so modern."
"Well, we're in a part of a it. We're not where I a usually live. Or used to live."
"Where'd you used to live?"
Mario ripped his hat up. "Brooklyn, that's where Luigi and I-wait. LUIGI!" The plumber began calling out his brother's name, shouting everywhere in any direction he looked. "LUIGI!! Where a are a you? Mario's a here but where are a you at?!"
The plumber stomped his foot. "He must a not be here, dang it!"
"Well…who's to say he isn't somewhere else in your universe?" Luke asked. "Or…what if he's in a different universe?"
Mario turned to the high schooler, listening to him.
"I mean, that black hole pretty much connected to almost any universe right?" He pointed out. "And since Dade can use the power of the multiverse, he might've just spread us out across different universes."
The plumber rubbed his mustache, squinting his eyes while he was thinking. "That is a…actually a pretty a good assumption. But, where'd a they all end up?"
"In…different universes?" Luke raised an eyebrow.
"Oh. A right." Mario gave a blank face, feeling a little stupid about his question. "But which a universes do you think they ended up in? Any other a ones here? Maybe…every single a one was separated?"
The high schooler took out his cellphone. "If only I had a GPS, could've used it to find them. Why don't we ask people around? Maybe they've seen other sma-"
That's when what sounded like a piano started playing, this piano was placed outside in the park. And it was attracting the citizens of New Donk City.
Luke raised an eyebrow, both he and Mario looked at where the crowd was going.
"What's going on over there?" The high schooler asked as the two of them walked to the crowd.
Someone was playing the piano, but it wasn't a human.
It was a large dragon turtle, playing a song.
"This song goes out, to my one and only." Said the turtle.
Bowser, singing his famous song and playing the piano.
"Peach, you're so cool." The Koopa King sang. "And woth my star, we're gonna rule."
"Hey, move a it. It's a me Mario, stop crowding around!" Mario complained as he and Luke pushed through all the New Donkers, making it to what they all came for. "Oh a great, just a great!"
Luke looked down at him. "What? Oh, it's Bowser. And he's…oh he's playing that song from the movie."
"Peach." Bowser continued to sing, beautifully that is. "Understand, I'm gonna love you till the very end. Peaches, Peaches, Peaches, Peaches, Peaches. Peaches, Peaches, Peaches, Peaches, Peaches, I love you!! Ooooooohh!!"
Mario rolled his eyes, letting out a groan along with the eye roll. "Great, we a had to take him to a the movie."
1 minute later….
The two had to wait for Bowser to finish his entire song, as it ended off with the New Donkers clapping and cheering.
"Thanks everyone." Bowser stood up and bowed. "Yeah yeah, I know my singing's good."
The Koopa King then noticed two certain people in the crowd, as the New Donkers began walking away and going back to their business.
He stomped over them. "Well well well! Guess I finally found some other people! Too bad they're some high schooler and my little plumber enemy."
Luke smiled while Mario slightly chuckled.
"Nice job at the song." Luke said.
"Yup, super a happy to see you too a Bowser." The plumber nodded his head. "See you're a still playing Peaches."
The king shrugged his shoulders in response. "Eh, why not? Jack Black made me look good!"
The giant turtle then looked to his left, then to his right. "So, you guys figured out why we're here?"
"Yeah." Luke nodded his head. "Dade destroyed the mansion, and then sucked us all up in a black hole."
"We a think everybody a else was sent to a different universe like us." Mario put his hands on his sides. "He wants to take over a the multiverse, so I wouldn't be surprised."
Bowser nodded. "Hm, crazy. Sounds like something I'd do! If I could."
Luke crossed his arms. "Now we've gotta find a way to get out of here and find everyone else." He then looked to the two mortal enemies. "Do you guys know anybody who might be able to help?"
Mario and Bowser looked at each other, evident that they both had an idea.
The trio was now standing in front of the New Donk City Hall, the main building of the entire city! And where it's mayor worked.
Mario knocked his hand on the two golden doors, hoping to receive a response.
The right side of the door slightly opened, as a New Donker peaked his head out.
"Hello?" He asked, before his eyes widened. "Oh! Hello Mario, haven't seen you in a while!"
"Hello a Phil." The plumber waved. "We need to a see Pauline, is she a here right now?"
Phil nodded his head. "Yep! She's in the auditorium right now. Come on in!"
He opened up both of the doors, allowing the three into the city hall.
"Don't think of bed in here before." Bowser said as they made their way inside of the building. "Even when I tried advertising my wedding all over this place."
Luke raised an eyebrow. "You we're having a wedding?"
The Koopa King chuckled in response. "Yup, I did indeed. Back in 2017, I tried marrying Princess Peach."
"Seeing you a sing that a song, I'm guessing that you're still a not over her?" Mario looked at Bowser, who shook his head. "No?"
"Eh, I'm over her." Bowser put his hand up. "Now I'm just focused on villainy. Like just kidnapping princesses!"
The plumber sighed. "Good a to know."
The trip finally arrived in the auditorium, where many New Donkers and other types of people from different places.
There was a band playing the Super Mario Bros theme on their instruments, a woman wearing red with brown hair was singing on a microphone.
"Lalala." The woman sang. "Da da da doo, doo a da da da do da. Ba da ba ba batta ba." Daha da do?"
It was Pauline, a long time friend of Mario and the mayor of New Donk City.
Mario ran up to the stage, jumping up on it.
"Mario?" She asked as the plumber put up his hand. "What are you—"
"Hey a Pauline! It's sure been a long a time!" He grinned. "Can a we have a discussion?"
The mayor looked at the crowd of people, the band was still playing music. "Um, I don't know if right now is a good time. We're…kind of in the middle of a song right now."
Mario immediately grabbed the microphone from Pauline, putting it right to his mouth to make an announcement.
The plumber then put the mic to his mouth. "THE WHOLE A MULTIVERSE IS A GOING TO END!!! THIS A UNIVERSE, THE SMASH A UNIVERSE, AND EVEN A THE TACO BELL UNIVERSE!!!"
The band stopped playing the song, and the people stopped cheering.
"We're all gonna die!"
The New Donkers started screaming and running around the auditorium, as they believed the announcement to be true.
No one bothered questioning it.
Pauline let out a sigh, pinching the crown of her nose and shaking her head. "Couldn't you guys just wait until the song was over?"
A few minutes later….
"So the Smash Mansion was destroyed by this Dade. He sucked you guys up in this black hole, which brought you three here and separated you all from the rest. Now Dade's trying to take over every universe in existence, and you need to stop him."
"Precisely."
Mario nodded his head, he sat in chairs along with Bowser and Luke in front of Pauline's desk. The group had explained their story to the mayor, as she had recapped it.
"And that puts New Donk City and every other universe in peril. That…doesn't sound good." Pauline placed a hand under her lip.
Luke nodded. "And he's got a bunch of villains on his side, and since everybody was separated we have less of a chance of stopping him."
"I see, and…I'm sorry. But who are you?" Pauline asked.
"Oh, I'm Luke." The high schooler introduced himself. "I live at the Smash Mansion, I go to high school."
"Nice to meet you." The mayor smiled and shook his hand.
Bowser got up from his chair. "Yeah yeah great. So are you gonna help us or what?"
The mayor pursed her lips, getting up from her chair and crossing her arms. "I….I don't know. This doesn't seem like something I can be much help with."
"But you're a the mayor!" Mario exclaimed. "You've got a the power of a the entire city!"
Pauline raised an eyebrow. "And? How does being a mayor of just one entire city give me the power to take down someone with power beyond what I can comprehend?"
She then turned to the window. "I wouldn't be that useful anyways, I'm just a mayor of a city. Not some entity or goddess or anything."
The three stared at her, as she placed a hand on the window and let out a sigh. "And I can't let my city be in danger again."
"Heh." Bowser quietly chuckled, with Luke slightly elbowing him. "That didn't even hurt."
"I know." He said. "But come on."
Mario then got up from his chair and stood on it. "And? So a what?! So what if you can't a fly or shoot a lasers out of your eyes? We need a all the help that we can a get! Don't you a know what happens if we don't a have enough help?"
Pauline turned to him.
"Every universe will meet its end." Luke said. "Dade will just fuse them all into his own universe, meaning we can all say goodbye to our lives. Please Mayor Pauline, come on!"
Her eyes widened in response, the end of every universe meant the end of her city. The end of her people, the end of everything she worked so hard to achieve.
She nodded, tipping her hat up. "Alright then, I'll help."
Mario's eyes grew wide, as he jumped onto her desk with a grin on his face.
"Perfect!! Now we need to move on to a step two!" The plumber said as Pauline placed her hand on the table.
"Please don't stand on the desk."
The group of Mario, Bowser, Luke, and Pauline were now leaving the city hall. Ready to move on to their next big plan in reuniting with the other smashers.
"So what do we do now?" Luke looked down at Mario.
"First we've a got to find the Odyssey." The plumber out his finger up. "That a ship helped me so much on a one of my biggest adventures! And I remember leaving it somewhere here. But a where?"
The group now found themselves standing in front of a long wire, one that went all the way up to a separate building. One that wasn't even on the main ground as New Donk City.
Mario's guess was correct, the Odyssey was placed in the mop of the building.
Mario received looks from the other three. Their facial expressions screamed "Really?", as he let out a small laugh.
"Uhh hehe. I a don't have Cappy to help me travel up there?"
"Okay, now a nobody look down." Mario said as the group was standing on the wire, attempting to climb up it. "Just a steadily keep walking, and we'll a make it!"
"Easy for you to say plumber boy." Bowser frowned as he was hanging by his two arms. "I'm too heavy for something like this!"
Luke looked down at the Koopa King. "You've got this Bowser, I believe in you."
Mario turned to the teenager and pointed at him in fury. "YOU'RE A LOOKING DOWN LUKE!! THAT'S A BIG A NO NO!"
Luke just blinked. "I….I'm alright. You don't need to worry about me."
The plumber sighed. "At least you're always a positive."
"Ah forget this!" Bowser made his way back to the other side.
Pauline's eyelids lowered. "Really?"
Mario carefully stepped on the building, as he had made it to the end of the wire. "I a made it!"
Luke was the next to make it, as he dusted off his knees and let out a breath. "Woah, thanks Mario."
Pauline carefully stepped onto the building, taking off her hat for a second. "Wearing heels today might've not been a good idea." The mayor chuckled.
The trio looked around after, they couldn't see Bowser anywhere.
"Hey."
They turned around to see Bowser just standing and staring at them, it seems like he got their first.
Mario's jaw fell to the ground. "How did you a get here so quickly?! You were a the last in line and barely got far on the wire!"
Bowser pointed to the side. "I used the stairs over there."
There was a staircase the left from New Donk City to the platform.
The three hadn't even seen that staircase! They could've just used that to reach the block in the first place!
Luke shrugged. "Eh, making it on the wire was still cool. Let's check out this ship."
Mario ran over to the Odyssey, jumping onto it and hugging it tightly.
"Oh I've a missed you so a much!" He began kissing it again and again, weirding out the others.
Luke walked over to the ship, placing his hand on the globe.
"So how do we pilot the ship?" The Hugh schooler asked as Mario got down and joined Luke in examining the globe.
"We would normally use a the globe, then just head off to a new kingdom." The plumber rubbed his mustache. "Let's a give it a spin!"
So Mario span the glove around, the Odyssey began moving in the air. The staircase began folding up and take off was guaranteed for our heroes!
But then it fell back to the ground immediately, making Mario tumble down the stairs.
He pulled his face off of the ground and looked up to the ship's balloon. "What?! Why hasn't it lifted-oh."
There was a big zero on the balloon of the Odyssey.
"What?" Luke asked as he carefully stepped off. "Why did it stop?"
"The Odyssey runs on a Power Moons." Mario explained to the teenager. "Gotta collect a certain amount so it'll go a places."
Bowser crossed his arms. "Where can we find Power Moons?"
The plumber piped up with a smile. "Everywhere! You can find them wherever you think! Like a here!"
Mario jumped into the air and ground pounded on a mat that was placed on the building. A beige Power Moon suddenly came up from it as Mario grabbed it.
"One down!" The plumber exclaimed. "We'll a need enough to power the ship, so it's time for a montage!"
"Or a moontage." Luke said, receiving a slight laugh from Bowser.
"Hah, I actually like that."
"A moontage it a is!!"
We see Mario holding onto a giant pole, holding on for dear life while reaching for a Power Moon at the top.
Then we get another instance where he's opening up a car trunk for a moon.
Now he was standing at the edge of the New Donk City Hall, grabbing onto windows to make it to the top.
He reached his hand out for another window.
But the foot on a bottom window slipped.
"Uh oh."
"WAAAAAHHHHH!!" Mario screamed as he fell right off of the building.
The other three were watching from the ground, with Luke and Pauline cringing because of the pain that Mario would suffer.
Then Bowser and the group stood in front of a giant wall of crates.
Mario tipped down his hat. "Well I guess I'll a get to throwing them around." He was stopped by Bowser.
The Koopa King blasted a stream of fire breath of of his mouth, burning down and destroying all of the crates in their sight.
This revealed two Power Moons, leaving Mario to gawk.
Bowser gave him a smug grin and a thumbs up in response.
1 hour later….
After a long montage, sorry. Moontage, the group now had enough Power Moons to leave the Metro Kingdom and set off for adventure.
Mario gathered up all of the moons and ran towards the Odyssey.
"We a finally have enough!" The plumber smiled with glee as he threw them into the air, each one of them went into the orange glove under the balloon itself.
The number went from zero to 10, as Mario hopped onto the ship.
He span the globe around.
It didn't move.
This left him flabbergasted.
"Why?! I just a worked a my ass off for a nothing and it's still not enough a?!" Mario complained. "I thought that was all of a the Power Moons left in New Donk a City!"
Luke turned up towards the sky, squinting at something he saw. "What about that one?" He pointed up.
The group looked hard to see what the teenager was talking about.
It was a taxi floating extremely high in the air, with a Power Moon on top of it.
Mario's eye twitched.
"Nope, I'm a done."
20 minutes later…
Mario was now lifting up many Power Moons, throwing them up into the orange globe.
But now his pockets were completely empty.
"Good thing we found that store that sold Power Moons." Luke smiled as Pauline gave a nod.
"We make sure to sell necessities that could benefit anyone." The mayor stated.
"Yeah, for a high a prices." Mario said to himself, the Odyssey then started lifting up into the air a bit. "Alright, everybody on! We're a heading out!"
The others made their way on the ship, getting inside of it.
Pauline was the last one, but before she made her way in the ship she turned back one last time. She saw her city, and everyone in it. Her citizens and everything she worked hard for.
She wouldn't let it be taken away."
So she smiled, did a little wave, and closed the door behind her. As the Odyssey took off.
"So where are we headed first Mario?" Luke asked the plumber as he was looking out of the window.
Mario was looking at his map, pointing to one spot. "First we're a headed to the Cap Kingdom to pick up an old friend. Then we're a finding a way out of here!"
"Who's the old friend?" Bowser asked with his arms crossed, as Mario raised an eyebrow and gave a cocky smile. "Oh, obviously."
Now we see the Odyssey land in the pitch black grass if a different kingdom. A kingdom that was mostly dark, hills, foggy areas, and even a white tower with a top hat on it.
There was many ghosts in this kingdom, many of them were shaped like hats and had eyes. These guests are called Bonneters.
There was a certain one shaped like a white top hat, floating around with a tiara shaped ghost.
This is Cappy! One of Mario's old partners that helped him save Princess Peach on one of his biggest journeys.
"Ah nothing like floating around with your sister." Cappy happily sighed. "Where it's always nighttime."
"I agree!" Tiara said with glee.
That's when Cappy saw something landing not so far off in the distance. It was the Odyssey!
The Bonneter gasped. "It can't be."
Then he saw Mario kick down the doors of the ship, running onto the hills.
"It is!!" The ghost exclaimed as he rushed towards the plumber in excitement. "Mario!"
The plumber himself was ecstatic, as he ran towards his long time friend in slow motion. Soon both of them would be running at each other in slow motion.
"Cappy!" Mario held out his arms and smiled.
"Mario!" Cappy reacted his stub like arms out.
"Caaaaaappy!"
"Maaaaaario!"
The two were about to embrace in a hug as they reached each other.
But Mario tripped on a rock at the last second and fell right to the ground, causing Cappy's eyes to widen.
The other three were following after Mario, as Bowser was laughing at the plumber's misfortune.
"Oh!" Cappy's eyes widened. "That didn't look pretty, hi Mario!"
The plumber pushed his hands against the ground, pushing himself right back up on the ground.
He shook his head crazily, putting out his fist. "Hello a Cappy! It's been a long time old a friend!"
The floating hat fist bumped his partner in response. "Yes it has! What've you been up to? Smash Mansion business?"
Mario nodded his head. "Yep! And it's a urgent news."
Cappy raised an eyebrow. "Urgent? What's urgent?" The hat then saw three other people approaching them, one of them was someone he wasn't happy to see. "Bowser, what does he want?"
Mario crossed his arms and let out a nervous laugh. "It's a long a story. The Smash a Mansion was destroyed by this super a powerful villain, then he sucked us up in a black hole."
Cappy just stared at the plumber, feeling a bit uncomfortable with his claim.
"I mean he made a black hole and a we were all a sucked up into it." The plumber clarified. "Then we a ended up here."
The hat's eyes widened. "Oh! That's what you meant, wait. The entire mansion was sucked up?!"
"Is that true?!" Tiara asked as she got herself involved in the conversation.
Luke nodded his head in response. "Yeah, he destroyed the entire place. Everyone's split up, and only we ended up in here."
"Do you think that you two could help us with stopping him?" Pauline asked the two Bonneters. "Cappy really helped Mario on your adventure, so maybe you'd be great help to us."
Cappy nodded in response. "Okay, sounds good!"
The four seemed surprised by his acceptance, given how he pretty much immediately was okay with the idea after being told about it once.
"Your…your just gonna offer your help to us like that?" Luke asked.
He nodded. "Yep! I'd do anything to help Mario and anyone who's his friends!" The ghost then blinked, his eyes turning into black dots. "Who are you?"
The teenager's eyebrows raised. "Oh, I'm Luke."
Mario then took off his hat, holding it up to Cappy. "Well, you a ready?"
Cappy nodded and grabbed the hat, spinning around rapidly before he immediately disappeared into Mario's cap.
The hat began descending towards the ground, before a white glove caught it right in time.
Mario span the hat around on his index finger, before putting it on his head and shifting it. His eyes then shouted up towards it. "Good to have a you back old friend!"
Cappy's eyes suddenly appeared at the front of the hat, both of them looking back down.
"I feel the same Mario, the same." The hat said, you couldn't see it but he was smiling.
The group was now making their way back into the Odyssey, as Bowser turned to Tiara.
"Interested in turning into a hat so I can posses things?" The Koopa King asked, as the ghost scoffed at him and floated into the ship. "Figured."
Luke closed the door to the Odyssey and dusted his hands on his pants. "Alright, so where are we going next?"
Mario placed a finger under his chin. "Good a question, there's not a specific a place I can think of that would a help us find a Dade. What can a we do?"
"It's your local news, about every kingdom, coming straight from the Metro Kingdom!"
Everyone turned to where the announcement was coming from, as the news was playing on a television.
"Mario, when did you put a TV in the Odyssey?" Cappy asked.
"I a never did."
"This is your anchorman from the Luncheon Kingdom, here to report of a terrifying storm in New Donk City!"
Pauline's eyebrows raised in response. "What?"
The Volbonan reporter hopped over to where he was, New Donk City had dark clouds looming over it and heavy rain pouring down.
"This storm seems to have come out of nowhere, and the citizens of New Donk are hiding in terror from the black goop that has begun surrounding the city. And in the middle of this appears to be a green fellow with glasses! Where's the mayor?! What's going on?!"
The camera then focused on a sort of black paint that was flooding the streets of the city, spreading anywhere that it could reach.
Then it pointed to a bean man standing on a floating platform. He had whirly glasses and a red cloak.
Fawful, in the flesh. Or in the nutrition, because he's a bean.
Mario glared. "Fawful! He's a back! Dade must've sent him!"
Bowser grit his teeth, punching his fist into his other hand. "That little pest, I wanna get my hands on him."
"Shouldn't we go to New Donk City then?" Luke asked the entire group. "We can't just let them destroy the city, there's a bunch of people there!"
Pauline nodded in response, a sweat bead descending down her forehead. "He's right, we have to save my city. Please."
Mario nodded his head. "Don't have to a tell me twice! Let's a go!!"
The Odyssey lifted up into the air, as the plumber stepped on the gas to make it go as fast as it could.
Back in New Donk City…
Fawful cackled widely, how a device that Dade gave him could cause a storm in such an amount of time.
"Hahaha! Dade's finally letting the takeover of other universes be caused by us!" The bean laughed. "Now that Mario and any of his other friends aren't alive any longer, I can do do whatever I desire to do!"
He then floated back down to the streets, putting out his hand as he placed his fingers in the black paint.
He rubbed them together and kept laughing. "Annnnnd if a contradiction occurs against my plan, I'm doing thus with help of the beast that Dade gave me! Huh?"
The evil bean saw a red ship approaching him, as he squinted his eyes.
"What is that red hat approaching me?"
When the Odyssey was close enough the doors opened right up, Mario jumped right out of the door and descending towards the bean.
Fawful's eyes widened. "Mario?!"
"FAAAAWWWFUUUUL!" The plumber exclaimed as he slammed his fist down against the bean's face and landed on the ground after.
Fawful tiled back on his platform, before he recomposed himself and shook his head. He witnessed Bowser jumped out of the ship along with Luke. The latter getting out when the ship was closer to the ground.
His jaw dropped straight to the base of his platform.
"Bowser?! That scrawny kid?! You're all still in the world of living?!" He asked. "But how?!"
Bowser walked over to Mario as they both looked up at him.
"Dade a never killed us, he sent us to a different universes." Mario clenched his fists. "What are a you doing here?!"
Fawful's glasses tilted forward. "Y-y-you're all not dead?! It didn't work?!"
"Was that his plan? Killing all of us?" Bowser raised an eyebrow.
Fawful nodded rapidly. "My master's plan was to have the black hole end the lives of you people! Now he's been sending me and the other baddies to different universe, all for the taking of ours! Why wasn't the end brought to you by—"
His face immediately paused.
"What?" Luke asked. "What's so shocking?"
The bean began laughing out of nowhere, leaving the three in confusion.
Fawful wiped a tear from his eye. "Ohh Magalor, you little traitor! You changed the Infinity Gauntlet didn't you?"
Mario raised one eyebrow. "Magalor? So he didn't want us a dead."
"Later this will be something I shall worry about. But I've got a city to takeover!" He adjusted his coat, that line making Pauline step out of the Odyssey. "Oh! That's where the mayor was located!"
The mayor pointed at the bean. "New Donk City isn't yours for the taking, Fawful! There are people here with lives, not just people you can make fear you!"
"Yeah!" Mario exclaimed. "And you've a got no chance against the four of a us!"
Cappy's eyes appeared on Mario's hat.
"I mean a five!"
Fawful laughed quietly in response. "Oh please, the quality has advantage over quantity in this situation!"
He put his arm out and snapped his fingers.
The ground of the city began shaking, causing everyone to look in all sorts of directions.
"Woah! Woah!" Pauline shook as she held onto the railings of the Odyssey.
"What's with all the shaking?" Bowser asked.
Mario saw something off in the distance, something that was rising up in the dark clouded sky.
It was a pure black turtle shell with orange tipped spikes. Black paint was shook off of it everywhere, appearing to be the same paint that was covering New Donk City.
The plumber's eyes widened, before placing his hand on his forehead. "Oh a no, not a this again. Prepare a yourselves!"
The shell flew straight up into the sky, as it exploded in a white flash.
A gigantic pitch black Bowser was in the sky, which longer spikes, pure white eyes, flaming hair, and flames emitting from the sides of his mouth.
Fury Bowser landed on top of one of the buildings, with him letting out a huge visible breath. The monster tilted his head up and let out a huge roar.
"RRRRROOOOOOOOAAAAAAGGGHHHRR!!" Fury Bowser yelled.
Bowser squinted his eyes at the monster. "Is that me? But, big and terrifying?"
"That's a you from a the past!" Mario explained. "Your son and I a had to a save you from that weird ink! But now there's a two Bowsers?!"
Fawful wagged his finger. "Fury Bowser was grabbed from his time in the past! Courtesy of Dade!" The bean floated over to the giant monster, jumping onto Fury Bowser. "Now nothing is in my way of taking control of this city!"
Mario pulled down his gloves, as Luke looked ready for a fight as well.
"We'll a see about that!" The plumber ran forward as he was about to jump.
But Mario was stopped when a yellow hand was put in front of him, Bowser's hand.m
The Koopa king walked towards the building where Fury Bowser stood, taking a deep breath.
"He's mine!" He yelled before jumping towards the giant monster, as he started glowing purple. Fury Bowser jumped up and dived head first at the Koopa king,
It appeared like he was about to crush Bowser, but instead the Koopa king glowed purple and grew in immense size.
The purple light went away to reveal a gigantic monster.
One that grabbed Fury Bowser by his horns and slammed it right against a building, causing rubble to fall and the building to fall back with Fury Bowser dragging against the streets.
Mario and Luke looked up in surprise at the beast that appeared, it looked like Bowser. But with longer legs and legs, a pale like color, and monstrous horns.
A form that the Koopa king has not used in a long time, Giga Bowser.
Giga Bowser turned around, giving the two a hand signal.
Mario nodded in response, while Luke seemed a bit confused.
The plumber than grabbed Luke's hand. "Let's a help a the people! Bowser can a take care of Fury Bowser!"
"Oh, yeah!" The high schooler nodded as he ran towards one of the puddles of ink, grabbing onto the hands of a New Donker. "I've got you sir just hold on!"
"I have plants at home that I need to water!"
Luke narrowed his eyes at him. "You're in danger and that's what you can think of?"
"They're grape vines."
"Oh, then yeah that's worrying."
Giga Bowser stared at the two helping the people, before turning his attention back to Fury Bowser.
Fury Bowser stood back up from being thrown, as he shook his head.
Fury Bowser glared at Giga Bowser, who glared back.
Both stared each other down, a far distance between them and one on two sides of the city
While Fawful was shoveling popcorn into his mouth.

Fury Bowser began running across the city, stepping on cars and moving buildings away with his giant arms.
Giga Bowser hid into his shell and started spinning towards the black ink monster, popping out at the last second to smash his hands on the top of Fury Bowser's head.
Fury Bowser fought back by grabbing onto the shell of Giga Bowser, but Giga Bowser countered it by grabbing the ink beast.
The two were caught in a struggle of holding each other, soon they began biting on each other. They were doing anything they could to deal any amount of damage to the other.
Fury Bowser broke away from being caught and grab Giga Bowser by the arm, throwing him right towards the New Donk City Hall.
Giga Bowser crashed right into the center of it, he quickly recovered and started climbing up the tall building. Proceeding to jump right off of it and ground pounded on Fury Bowser, who retaliated by rolling into a spherical shell form.
Giga Bowser grabbed two of the spikes on Fury Bowser's shell, throwing it up and kicking it right towards the New Donk City Hall.
Which caused more damage to be done to the building and even the top of it to crumble down. Trapping Fury Bowser and Fawful in a tomb of rubble.
Pauline turned to Giga Bowser while still holding onto the Odyssey. "Bowser!"
Giga Bowser snarled in response, jumping back to be ready for Fury Bowser to come back out.
"Hmmmagh!" Mario said as he pulled another New Donker out of the puddles. "That a should be all of them!"
"HELP!! HELP!!"
Luke and Mario looked up to see that there was still another citizen. He was trapped inside of his car, which was sinking into another ink puddle.
Luke looked up and saw that a building was starting to breakdown, in a small amount of time it would fall down and crush the man!
The teenager began running to the car, running past something that was stuck in the ground.
He stopped for a minute and turned back to see what he saw.
It appeared to be a sword of some kind, it had a black handle while having a large red and mechanical blade. With even a blue circle near the guard, it seemed to be some kind of Iron-Man sword.
Luke quickly pulled out the sword, holding it by the red area and charging at the car.
The teenager held up and sword and knocked on the New Donker's windshield. "Lean back! I'll get you out!"
He started shoving the sword against the window, making it break.
Luke set the sword to the side and put his arms in the car. "Grab my hands!"
"Alright!" The citizen grabbed Luke's hands as he was pulled right out of his vehicle.
The two stepped back as that piece of building finally collapsed and crashed right through the car.
The two humans stared at the vehicle, it began sinking.
"Dang it, that was a rental."
Luke's eyes averted back to the sword that he used to break open the window. He picked it up once again.
"This is a pretty nice sword, but why was it just in the ground?"
"RRRRRAAAGH!!" Fury Bowser blasted through his rubble prison.
Luke grabbed the handle of the sword, as it began shaking,
"Wait, huh?" The teenager's eyes became filled with surprised when the red pieces disassembled and began being placed on his arm.
He looked at it, the red sword pieces became armor! Armor that covered his entire left arm, it looked like a part of Iron-Man's suit.
Luke looked back at the sword, now it has a sleek blade like a katana and a large circle vertically formed as the guard.
"Wait, wha-oh! WOOOOAAAAHH!!" The blade started making Luke fly towards Fury Bowser.
The high schooler raised up the blade when he reached the monster's head, vertically slashing down right in between the eyes.
"AAAOOOOUUUGGHH!" Fury Bowser screamed in pain as he stepped back and fell right on the ground.
Fawful's eyes widened. "Hey! That isn't allowed!"
Luke gave a blank look. "Says who?" He slashed at Fawful, cutting the cloak of the bean and causing something to fall out of his coat pocket.
It appeared to be an orange shard, as it fell to the ground.
Luke landed back on the ground, with the sword being covered up by the red parts once again.
"Woah."
Fawful angrily shook his head, he saw that all of the citizens of New Donk had been saved. He also saw that Giga Bowser could still go for another round with Fury Bowser.
"Urrggh forget it! I'm making my leave, I'll explain everything to Dade!" Fawful attempted to pull something out of his pocket, but nothing was taken out. "Huh? Where's my crystal? Oh well! I have a spare."
He pulled out an orange crystal like the one that fell on the ground, as it started glowing.
"Wait until Dade hears the news, bye bye!" The bean grinned as he and Fury Bowser completely disappeared.
Soon enough, all of the black ink began drying up and fading away. The rain completely stopped and the dark clouds were moving away for the sunshine.
Even the buildings were being restored to their complete form like they were before the attack.
The citizens of New Donk walked out of their homes, checking to see if the disaster had gone away.
Pauline landed the Odyssey, walking down the steps and smiling.
Bowser let out a small breath, transforming back into his regular state.
The New Donkers crowded around the group of three, as the group just stood still in the middle of all the citizens.
One started clapping, joined by everyone else there along with cheers and whistles.
"Woohoo! Go Mario!"
"That was so cool Bowser!"
"Our whole city is safe again!"
Mario tipped his hat up, as Bowser slightly grinned.
"I was only interested in fighting that fake Bowser, I don't really need any glory." The Koopa king closed his eyes.
Pauline walked through her citizens and smiled. "Thank you all very much for saving my city, it means the entire world to me."
The famous plumber nodded his head. "It was a no problem!" Mario then turned his attention to Luke, who was checking out the red sword. "Where'd you get a that sword, Luke?"
The teenager was checking out the orange crystal that Fawful dropped.
"Huh? Oh, I don't know actually." The teenager said. "I just saw it in the ground, and picked it up. Looks kind of out of place though."
Pauline took a turn to look at what else he had. "And that orange crystal?"
"Fawful dropped it." Luke answered. "Wonder what it does."
Inside the Odyssey…
The group was back inside of the Odyssey, checking out the crystal that Fawful had dropped.
"Think it'll a do anything?" Mario closely examined the object. "Why would Fawful have a this anyway?"
Bowser stroked his chin. "Maybe dropping it'll do something."
The plumber shrugged in response. "Okay."
He dropped the crystal to the ground, making it shatter into multiple pieces.
Everyone's eyes widened except for Mario.
"WHY'D YOU ACTUALLY DROP IT?!" Bowser yelled.
"You'd told me to!" Mario threw down his hands.
"I didn't think you'd actually do it!"
"What's…gonna happen?"
Luke's voice was slowed down while the fragments of the crystal glowed white.
The Odyssey and everyone else suddenly disappeared.
Elsewhere….
The Greater Sacred Machine was flying through the wide and infinite areas of space.
We see the seven of those that went into the machine in order to save the multiverse.
"So…when do we get to another universe?" Stan asked.
"Hopefully soon." Eric said.
The Greater Sacred Machine finally stopped as it flew down onto some sort of surface, with the hatch opening up so everyone could exit.
Phosphora zipped out of the mech, adjusting her hair and stretching out her spider suit. "About time! It was getting too hot in there!"
Pit shrugged. "I didn't mind it! Being close is together is a good thing for everyone!"
The demigoddess looked back at the angel, smiling.
"You never change Pitty."
Eric took out a device that Theodore had given him. "Says here that we're in a universe where everyone is edgy."
Phosphora turned to look out at a nearby park, there was dark decorations and such. While there were also a bunch of edgy teenagers walking around.
"Uggghh." One groaned. "Life sucks, what's the point of anything?"
"Soooooo truuuuuuee." Another agreed.
The lightning demigoddess narrowed her eyes, grabbing the device from Officer Eric.
"Nope, let's get out of here."
The Greater Sacred Machine landed in other word, where the entire atmosphere was foggy and green.
Nobody bothered getting out, they just looked at Eric.
The police officer raised an eyebrow. "What? Oh right."
He cleared his throat and checked the remote device. "Says this is a universe where pollution took over the entire world because global warming was never solved. If any of us breathes the air we have a 78.34% chance of dying."
Everybody's eyes widened in response.
"Yeeaaahh." Spider-Man blinked. "Doesn't sound like a fun afternoon."
"Hey ya'll! Scott here! And boy is this-"
Suddenly the Greater Sacred Machine landed right in this man's house, the man had brown hair and glasses. In a bedroom with blue walls.
The hatch opened up.
"Where are we now?" Stan looked around.
"Oh wow!" Pit pointed at the man. "It's Scott Wozniak!"
"Hey y'all! Scott here!" Scott said again. "And boy do I love it when giant robots crash into my house on a Sunday, it's sort of a hobby of mine! Wait—OH GOD, LAW ENFORCEMENT!"
"Hey! Wanna help save the universe?" Bill asked Scott, who seemed tempted by the offer.
Scott shrugged in response.
"Suuuurreee."
In another universe….
"Hmm."
We see Red, the Pokémon trainer himself. Thought to be one of the stronger trainers in the world, taken from his home of the Smash Mansion.
But not his first home, this was essentially his first home. Well, not exactly. He had traveled the world with his family, many different regions.
But this town was where he had been born, watching it from a hill and standing in the grassy fields.
His home town, Celestic City.
Of the Sinnoh Region.
He let out a breath of relief, adjusting his hat.
Then he smiled.
"It's good to be home."
