The time has finally come. With all of the Smashers sent into different universes scattered across the dimensions, it’s up to Pit and Phosphora to get back their friends, stop Dade and his army of villains, and save the multiverse! With the help of new friends.

6. Chaoter 6: Something a Bit Meatier

The following chapter contains heavy spoilers for the entire Xenoblade Chronicles series, but primarily Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and Xenoblade Chronicles: Future Redeemed.

Our newest location is Aionios, an entirely new world that the smashers had not yet been to. Similar to a few other universes that we have seen so far.

But this one was a combination of two worlds, it used to be one entire world. But thanks to the work of a man named Klaus, they had been separated for some time before they began fusing again.

And it had been left to generations of people to try and save it.

And because of that, Aionios was whole again and the people of this world had not faced any threats for quite some time.

But would that change with new visitors?

"So, you're both actually Shulk and Queen Melia?"

Asked Eunie, walking along with Shulk and Melia in the fields of Aionios.

Shulk nodded his head in response. "We are, but…we don't think we're the ones that you've told us about. We ended up here from a black hole."

The Entia turned to them as they continued moving along. "Black hole? Sounds kinda weird, and you said you aren't from here?"

"We were from these two titans, as we said." Melia explained to Eunie. "But you're telling us that our world is apart of this one?"

Eunie shrugged her shoulders. "Yeah, that's what the Shulk here said. And I think that guy Rex said the same."

Shulk's eyebrows raised in response. "Rex? You've meant Rex?"

"Yah, Mio's dad. Rex? I mean the one from here." The Entia clarified. "Look alive, we're heading towards Keves Castle. An' I'll introduce you guys to Queen Melia."

Melia nodded her head. "Thank you Eunie." She held her staff behind her back. "If you don't mind me asking, what were you doing out here?"

"Dunno, was heading back to Keves with Noah and Lanz. We were out getting something for Riku, and we-" Her eyes widened with realization, as she quickly turned around. "Well spark!"

Shulk and Melia stopped along with her. "What's wrong?"

"Noah and Lanz! I forgot about them, we were stopping for a break and I went to get materials. Then I heard you two and got distracted!" Eunie crossed her arms. "I'm so snuffing dumb!"

"RRRREEEEAAGH."

The trio looked towards the fields of grass, where five robots appeared to be standing.

All of them were Starmen, as they looked towards the three in attempt to intimidate them. Appearing straight out of Ness and Lucas' world.

Eunie frowned. "What the hell are those?"

"Starmen." Shulk ran towards them and jumped onto the ground, grabbing the Monado and holding it forward. "They're enemies of friends of ours."

Both Entia's jumped onto the ground, with Melia preparing her staff and spinning it in her hands. "Stand back Eunie, we've got this."

The other Entia ran forward, surprising Melia as her own staff appeared in her hands.

"It just appeared like that?" Melia thought.

"No offense Queen Melia, but I can fight my own." Eunie pointed her staff at one of the Starmen, as the top of it began spinning. "Alright now line up, who wants to get blasted first?"

The Starmen suddenly started glowing yellow, as they all became a moving substance and quickly fused with each other.

Eunie's eyes widened as the substance formed into the shape of a giant Starman.

It formed into a giant golden Starman, one that had golden spikes in it. It had transformed into a Final Starman.

"Oh." Eunie said as the figure stood over her. "Well spark."

The Final Starman stomped his foot where Eunie was, as she dodged it with ease by jumping back.

"Shit!" Eunie pointed her staff up, blasting energy from the tip of it.

"I've got your back!" Shulk exclaimed as he jumped up and delivered a vertical slash to Final Starman's back.

The machine quickly turned around and slapped Shulk with its arm, but he was able to block it just in time and land onto the ground.

Melia ran towards Final Starman with her staff out and flames igniting. "Summon flare!" She then launched a fireball from its tip, with it exploding upon impact.

Final Starman shot a laser blast from his eye towards Melia, who managed to do a dodge roll just in time.

"Hm." The queen nodded her head, before she knelt on a knee and grabbed her swollen stomach. "Agh."

"Melia!" Shulk exclaimed as he ran towards her and jumped above Final Starman. Now he was descending in front of him, making a quick turn and shoving the Monado into its chest.

Eunie gawked. "What are you doing?"

"Shoot the Monado!" The Homs instructed as he held Melia's hand and helped her up.

The Entia aimed her staff at the Monado, firing another laser blast like the one from before.

It was strong enough to push the blade deeper into Final Starman's body, as the machine stumbled.

Eunie then grinned, as she began rapid firing more shots at the Monado. As it kept getting deeper and deeper into the body of Final Starman.

Before one more shot blasted the Monado through the body of the machine, as it stood still on its two legs. Suddenly falling forward onto the ground and creating a huge thud.

Eunie's staff went away, as she let out a laugh. "Hah? Ya see that metal head? Eunie's the boss now!"

That's when the Entia walked to Shulk and Melia, as the latter had been helped up by the former.

"What's up with you Queen Melia?" Asked Eunie as she inspected her. "Oh, hold up." Her staff appeared once again and held it towards the queen. "You're not hurt, then why'd ya fall?"

Melia smiled. "You may just refer to me as Melia, Eunie. Also, I'm carrying a child right now."

The Entia's eyes widened. "Oh, had no idea. Remember folks from the city telling me and the others about how babies are made. Guessing it's resting in your womb?"

"Mm hm." She nodded in response.

"Because you said that the soldiers of Keves and Agnus were just reborn in capsules, correct?" Shulk asked.

Suddenly the trio heard something shaking the ground, as they looked towards the Final Starman. He was shaking while still being engulfed in flames, but he got up on his two feet.

The Final Starman's eye started glowing red, as he put up its arms in fiery rage. Before moving his arms to the side to get rid of the fire.

"What? Thought that thing was down!" Euine took out her staff.

"Well we've got your back Eunie!"

Said a voice with an accent like the mentioned Entia, where the group saw a grey and buff man jump above the Final Starman with a large sword in his hands.

"Hhrragh!" The man exclaimed as he slammed the blade down onto the back of the machine, where it was stunned from the heavy hit. By the name of Lanz.

Melia's eyebrows raised. "Who's that?"

Suddenly an army of what appeared to be paper mache figures swarmed through the air, with them all hitting the Final Starman and swarming him.

A smile emerged on Eunie's face, as she brought her staff out once again. "Bout time you all showed up."

"You bet!" Exclaimed an athletic woman around the same age as the others, wielding a giant hammer with a bit of blue flames in her hair. Her name was Sena.

She was behind the Final Starman and holding the hammer back, before she slammed it right onto the machine's head. Soon enough another one ran towards it with an orange scarf and glasses.

"Noah! Now's the perfect time!" The man said as he used the paper mache creatures to contain the Final Starman.

"Alright, I'm on it Taion!"

Another young man jumped into the sky, wielding dual blades in both hands and ready to slash them at any moment. He wore a red jacket along with black hair and a ponytail, apparently his name was Noah.

Noah slashed down both blades while landing on the ground, doing a backflip as he gripped his swords.

The rest of the group stood back themselves and stared at the Final Starman, who was standing completely still while the paper mache creatures went back to Taion.

"Is it down?" Lanz asked as the group still had their weapons ready.

The machine started tilting forward, before falling straight to the ground while it's whole body cracked. Breaking apart into multiple pieces and leaving shards on the ground.

Noah smiled, as his dual blades disappeared. "It's down, good job everyone."

"Thought Lanz would've wanted something a bit meatier." Euine crossed her arms and smirked. "When'd you guys find Sena and Taion?"

Noah and the other three walked towards the trio. "Lanz and I didn't know where you'd gone, then after we took care of those Bunnits we found Sena and Taion out doing what we were doing."

Sena nodded her head with a smile. "Mi-Mi's mom wanted us to do some searching for certain materials too!"

"Why'd ya run off like that Euine?" Lanz asked. "We were right about to finish those Bunnits with a chain attack and then you left."

Taion looked towards Shulk and Melia, as both of them stood in place while witnessing the group. "Who are these two?"

"What Taion said." Lanz squinted his eyes and leaned towards the two from Bionis, observing them and their features. "Look kind of like our queen and Shulk, they their long lost children or something?"

The Homs shook his head. "No, well, yes. I am Shulk and she is Melia, but we're not the ones that you know."

"Wait, what?" Sena asked in confusion. "You're not the ones we know? Are you reborn versions of them?"

"But I thought that wasn't possible anymore since Moebius is no more." Taion placed a hand to his chin.

"We come from a different universe." Melia said without hesitation.

Noah's eyes slightly widened. "You…what?"

"We're from another world." Shulk rephrased. "It's like this one, but not quite. Aionios, right?"

"You got that right, how'd ya know?" Lanz asked.

Eunie put her hand up to answer the burly man. "Told em about it, and Queen Melia. Said they came from some kind of black hole."

"Right, and we need to inform your queen of our situation. Er, myself. But not exactly me." Melia held her staff close to her. "Queen Melia, if that's alright."

Noah smiled. "We can take you to her, anything to help."

"Thank you Noah." Shulk shot a smile back at him. "Really, it means a lot that you would help us only after meeting us."

"We're used to helping people." Lanz said as the group started making their way towards the castle and the town around it. "And we can give a thrashing if anyone starts trouble."

Everyone was walking in an entire group towards the castle, which was luckily not far off and would only take them about twenty minutes to reach it. In the meantime they could discuss things and chat with one another.

"So were you two headed towards the castle before we showed up?" Sena asked. "And what was that weird machine?"

Shulk turned to them as he was in the front. "We'll explain. Melia and I are from a different universe."

Taion's eyebrows raised. "A different universe?"

"Right, in our world Aionios doesn't exist. Well, not yet we suppose. We live on two titans, the Bionis and the Mechonis, we fought alongside our friends to try and bring peace between the two." Melia explained. "Shulk became a fighter in this tournament. And he was given a home to compensate for his participation in battles."

"A fighting tournament?" Eunie asked. "What was it called?"

"Super Smash Bros." Shulk said. "Many different fighters from across different worlds and universe come together to battle, and I was chosen as a fighter. And soon enough Melia became a resident of the mansion, and so did Rex and Nia-"

"Mi-Mi's mom and dad live with you?!" Sena was shocked. "Is it a different one compared to ours? Like you guys?"

It was Melia's turn to nod her head. "Yes, they came from their own world just like us. I assume Nia is a queen like I am here?"

"She is, and her daughter is one of our close friends." Taion answered. "She's queen of our nation, Agnus."

Shulk seemed a bit surprised. "Well that'll be a surprise for the Rex and Nia we know."

Speaking of Rex and Nia, the married couple was walking through a different area of Aionios. One that had a bit more water around it than Keves did. Nia in her blade form.

They were traveling with all of their children, luckily they were strapped to them which prevented them from separating from their parents.

And those baby straps definitely came in handy when the two are sucked up into Dade's black hole.

Their youngest kids Mio and Sara were attached to Nia, well Rex had their oldest Ethan strapped to him.

"I gotta say Nia, Alrest looks really different the last time we saw it." The salvager said as he looked off into the distance with his hand above his eyes.

"I don't think we're in Alrest." The Gormotti stated. "Just look at that giant sword."

Rex looked at a gigantic sword that was stabbed into the ground, it was far off but its size alone stuck out like a sore thumb.

His eyebrows raised in response. "So it's something from Shulk's world, guess it's a mix of both?"

"That's just bloody stupid." Nia's eyelids covered half of her eyes. "Ya can't be serious Rex."

"Ehhh, I know it's stupid. But just a guess." Rex let out a nervous laugh.

Nia then looked at a different area. "Well, it's actually a guess that's right on the money." She pointed at what appeared to be Uraya, one of the titans from their home.

"Guess I was right." Rex said as he looked at his sleeping son. "These baby straps do wonders, kept our babies right with us!"

"And thank the titans." Nia closed her eyes, before sniffing the air. "Yikes, that black hole definetly scared Mio and Sara though. Any place to change a baby out in these fields?"

Her salvager husband nodded his head. "We can find a place to stop and change em. Getting a little hungry myself."

A few minutes later….

The married couple found a sandy beach, one that was close to oceanic waters. Where there were other areas far off in sight and mountains, along with what appeared to be some kind of palace or castle not too far out on the water.

"Rex, when I said we'd need a place to stop." Nia stated. "I wasn't really talking about the beach."

The salvager shrugged. "I mean, I thought we could just let the kids have fun. Remember when we went to that beach once? There were a lot of towels out, perfect for changing a babe."

"Hwwaaaaa." Ethan yawned as he balled up his little fists, woken up from a nap.

Nia looked around the beach, there wasn't really anything aside from some shells and sea creatures walking around. No towels in sight.

"We didn't bring any though." The Gormotti said. "And I can't see one."

"I brought some!" Rex took out a large white towel, surprising his wife.

She blinked in response. "W-where'd you get that, Rex?"

"Salvaging lets ya find a bunch of things." The wielder of the Aegis set down the towel, unstrapping Ethan from himself as he set the toddler down. "Alright buddy, I need to change your sisters. Just play in the sand for a bit."

Nia walked over to him and knelt down, as she unstrapped Mio and Sara. "Alright, let's get you two changed."

While Rex and Nia were changing their kids, Ethan was standing in the sand after waking up from his nap. Wearing an adorable dress shirt and khaki shorts as he began walking on his own two feet.

"Wata! Wata!" He said as he started swaying towards the ocean, his eyes sparkling with joy. "It pwetty. Huh?"

He looked down to the ground and saw a seashell on the ground, reaching down and picking it up.

"Haha! Seaswell!" He began jumping up and down in excitement. "It's pwetty! Ooh! More seaswells!"

Soon enough he began walking down the beach and started collecting more shells along the trail. Ethan had only been to the beach once in his life, but collecting seashells and other random trinkets was one of his favorite things.

"Well what've we got here?"

"It seems like a child."

The little boy was farther away from his parents, as he looked up above him.

A man was standing in front of him, he had a black short sleeve jacket over an orange one, black pants, along with red fingerless gloves and a black ponytail.

Next to him was a shorter woman, one with silver hair and a light tinted purple outfit with a bit of white. But also a core crystal attached to her left ear.

"Huh?" Ethan tilted his head. "Who you?"

The man bent down and placed his hands on his knees. "Now how'd you end up out here little guy?"

"Seaswell." Ethan held up his little collection of seashells and showing it to the two.

The man scratched his head. "Those seashells brought you here? Didn't know seashells can transport babes to the beach."

The woman shook her head. "Matthew, he means that he was looking for shells and he ended up here looking for them."

"Oh, that makes more sense." Matthew's eyebrows raised before he picked up Ethan in his arms. "Where're your parents little guy?"

Ethan only stared at him. "Mama and da with sistas. I found sweashell!" He held up his seashells once again.

"That's nice little guy, what's your name?" Matthew asked.

"My name is Ethwan." The toddler said as he then held up two fingers on one of his hands. "I two."

The woman stared at him. "He's only a toddler, he shouldn't be out here alone."

Matthew turned to her. "Well we got im' now A. We'll just find his parents and give im' to them."

"Alright. All changed." Rex said as he picked up Mio, who was smiling. "Ya feelin better Mio? Who's daddy's favorite little Gormotti? You are! You and your mother and sister are!"

Nia smiled as she picked up Sara, kissing her on the head. "All better now."

The two of them stood up as they started strapping Mio and Sara back onto Nia. And when they did Rex began getting his baby carrier ready.

He began turning around. "Okay Ethan, it's time to-" The salvager stopped to look near the ocean, the sand spot that he has placed Ethan. "Huh? Where's Ethan?! Where'd you to buddy?!"

"You lost him?!" Nia asked as she was a bit mad. "One of us shoulda been watching him!"

"Seashswell!"

The married couple heard their son's adorable voice, but he wasn't close.

"Yes, we've seen your seashell. It's like the other ones we've seen out here." A said with a nod.

Nia saw both Matthew and A with their son, noticing that the former was holding her child in his arms. She let out a small sigh. "Rex, hold Mio and Sara." She unstrapped the twins and placed them in her husbands arms.

"Why?" Rex asked as Nia created her vine sword and spinning it. "Oh no."

"Ya know this kid kinda looks like Na'el, pretty sure he's the same species-"

"CHILD PREDATOR!!!" Nia yelled as she charged forward with her blade in hand, jumping into the sky and dicing towards Matthew. "Let go of my son you one-eyed monster!"

The man looked up. "What? Hey wait!"

Nia landed right on him, grabbing Ethan and setting the toddler to the ground. Before she began beating the founder with her blade. "You're not kidnapping any a my kids today! I won't let you give im' candy and kidnap im'!"

"Wait! Hold on! This is a misunderstanding!" Matthew yelled as he kept getting beaten by her sword. "A and I found him and we were trying to find his parents!"

The Gormotti blade stopped beating him. "Oh, sorry." She jumped back and helped him up. "Don't know what came over me."

"Nia!" Rex ran forward with both Mio and Sara in his arms. "Sorry bout that, we're a family that really ares about our kids."

"As all parents should." A stated as Nia picked up Ethan, who started laughing.

The toddler held up his seashells. "Mama! Dada! I find seashells! Pwetty!"

Rex laughed as he kissed him on his forehead. "A salvager in the making, good job Ethan!"

Matthew crossed his arms and smiled, before realizing something and turning to talk to A. "Hey, don't they look…"

"Just like Queen Nia and Rex?"

"Yeah! Exactly!" He nodded.

"Hm? What are you two talking about?" Nia asked as she strapped Ethan to herself and Rex did the same with Mio and Sara. Switching it up a bit.

The two gave their attention once again. "Yeah? Oh!" Matthew cleared his throat. "Hey, name's Matthew Vandham. This is A." He introduced the woman.

The couple from Alrest blinked, looking at each other.

"Is in…the letter A?" Rex asked, receiving a nod from the woman.

"Yes, I am an Aegis." She said. "You both look just like King Rex and Queen Nia."

Nia's eyes widened. "What? I mean that is our names, but we're not royalty or anything."

"What Nia said." Rex nodded in agreement. "I think you're mixing us up with some other people. Can you guys tell us about your king and queen?"

Matthew let out a small chuckle. "We could just drag it out and tell ya both everything. Or…"

He put his fist back, hitting something metal. Suddenly a giant ship with wings appeared behind the two, leaving Rex and Nia in shock. It was almost like it had just appeared out of thin air.

"We can take you to that floating castle up there so you can meet em." He smiled as he leaned against the ship.

Rex pointed at the ship, with his mouth still open from surprise. "How did…"

"Cloaking device."

"Oh."

The group in Keves had finally arrived on the city, where it was bustling with people.

"Hey Noah!"

"What's going on Lanz? Looking stronger than usual!"

"Eunie what's up? We still on for drinks later?"

Shulk had nothing but a smile on his face, seeing everyone living peaceful and happy lives, how friendly the citizens were, and how grand the architecture of it was.

"So you all saved Aionios, because time wouldn't move forward because of Moebius." Melia had her hand at her chin, as she and Shulk had been told about everything that happened in Aionios. How it was one world at first, but then split into two which turned into Alrest as well as the Bionis and Mechonics, but then started fusing together again and destroyed both worlds. Then Origin had come and stabilized it, but that would lead to endless amounts of unnecessary war and fighting. But they had defeated Moebius and the world has become stable.

"Yes." Noah answered. "We thought our worlds would be separated again, but they ended up fusing together perfectly. It's sort of similar to our interlink abilities."

Shulk seemed interested. "Oh right, you told us about that. I'd like to look into that if you'd let me."

"Nothing super deep to analyze first hand, but we'll let you do what you need to do." Lanz responded. "First we've gotta meet up with some friends, then we can talk to the queen."

"I have a question." Melia said as they started making their way to what appeared to be workshop by the castle. "What exactly did the Moebius look like?"

Taion adjusted his glasses while they continued moving. "They had armor with red coloring, but also certain marks of purple. And a symbol in their eye, a symbol with two rings crossing."

Melia and Shulk's eyes widened. They had remembered seeing one of Dade's allies with a description like that. One with purple horns.

And Dade, he also had Moebius like qualities and a red infinite symbol in his eye.

"Well our enemy may have brought back a member of Moebius."

The group was surprised, with Noah looking to Shulk.

"What did he look like?" Noah asked.

"He had a red cloak, but it wasn't exactly armor." Melia explained to them. "And he had two purple horns made of energy."

The Ouroboros inheritors became more silent, words couldn't begin to describe how threatening this news was.

"Oh no." Eunie put a hand to her forehead and shook it. "You gotta be kidding me!"

Lanz nodded his head while crossing his arms. "Yeah, sounds like Z."

"Z created Moebius and brought it here in the first place!" Sena exclaimed. "Oh why?"

"We can worry about this later, right now we need to meet up with Riku." Noah put his hands out. "Dade sounds like a terrifying threat, but he's even more powerful with Z by his side."

"Riku wants to know what friends are discussing."

The group hadn't completely realized it but they were at the front entrance of the workshop they were headed towards. So that deeper voice brought them back to reality.

Shulk looked down to see what appeared to be a green Nopon. One with brown hair, a black jacket, and a type of gun on his back. With a serious look on his face, a look he almost always had.

"I presume that this is Riku?" The Homs smiled. "Hello."

Riku just stared at him. "Shulk? But you inside of Riku's home, working with Nikol I last saw."

Shulk raised an eyebrow. "Nikol? Who's that?"

"Oh right. Hmhm." Eunie put her balled up hand in front of her mouth, giggling a little bit. "You don't know."

"Don't know what?" The Homs seemed confused.

"Riku, who was at the door?" Asked an older figure. An older man who had long blond hair, a small red cape, and a robotic right arm. "Oh."

This was the Shulk of Aionios, meeting face to face with Shulk of the Smash Mansion.

The both of them stared into each other's eyes for a long time, their eyes were almost exactly the same and wouldn't break contact with each other at all.

"Hello there." Shulk put his hand out. "This is…a bit confusing I know."

"It is." The older Shulk nodded. "But I'm intrigued, and I know for certain that you are like me. But…how?"

"I'm Shulk."

"I am also Shulk."

Melia smiled, watching the two of them shake hands. It was still weird as they were both Shulk, but that didn't matter to really any of the group.

The high entia then felt a nudge at her shoulder, causing her to turn to Eunie. "Huh? What is it Eunie?"

"Pretty cool eh? It's not everyday you meet yourself." She smirked, receiving a nod from Melia. "You can meet yourself soon."

Sena then cleared her throat, putting her arm out towards future Shulk. "You've seen it first here! This is Aionios' Shulk! The Grand Marshal, the Godcleaver himself! The hardest working man in our world, and-"

"Um, Sena. I don't mean to be rude, but you do not need to refer to me as the Godcleaver." Future Shulk put a hand up. "Grand Marshal or Shulk is just fine."

"Ah yeah. Forgot ya don't like being called that." Eunie said. "Bragging rights are pretty powerful."

"Damn right." Lanz nodded.

Grand Marshal Shulk turned around. "Would you all like to come inside? Fiora and Manana are making lunch."

Noah and the others followed him in. "Sounds good, thank you Shulk."

"Alright! Here we are!" Matthew exclaimed as the back hatch of the ship opened up and held onto the top of the ridge. As A and the other two began exiting the ship.

They stepped off and onto the floor of Agnus castle, which was up in the air! Apparently the castle was in two pieces, with one being at the bottom and the other part in the sky.

"Woah." Rex said as the hatch closed, looking in amazement. "It's just like being back in Alrest!"

A turned to him while they were making their way to the castle entrance. "So this shouldn't be too different from what you're used to?"

"Yeah, we basically live in the clouds." Nia put her hands on her hips.

"Interesting." The Aegis said as she continued walking alongside Matthew. "There's no telling what the king and queen will say. But I'm hoping it's positive."

The group of four stopped at the entrance, where there were two Agnus guards keeping watch and wielding spears.

Both of them stepped towards the door, being right in the center of it. "Welcome to Agnus Castle, what business do you have with Aionios' greatest blade master and queen?"

Matthew put his hand up while looking at the other three. "Don't worry, I got this." He turned back to the guards. "Hey you two, it's Matthew."

The two only stared at him.

"Matthew Vandham."

Both guards' eyes widened. "Oh! Sorry Matthew, go right ahead." They clanked the bottoms of their spears on the ground, as the doors opened right up.

"Nah don't worry about it, come on you three." The brawler smiled as he led them into the indoors of the castle.

Rex and Nia looked around the interior of the palace, looked sort of similar to structures back in Alrest. Like the palace of Indol.

"Hm, pretty nice." Rex nodded while pursing his lips with a smile. "Can't believe my own wife became a queen."

The Gormotti turned back to her husband. "Hard to believe I can reach high status?"

"Nope." The salvager shook his head. "I knew you could do it Nia, you know I always believe in you. Whatever you do."

Nia smiled in response, leaning towards him and giving Rex a kiss on the cheek. "Love you too Rex."

The group continued walking down the hallway to the throne room, passing by other different leading hallways and doors.

Until the sound of a piano caught Rex off guard.

It was a beautiful melody, the heart moving sounds of each key that was pressed in a certain order.

But then there was another instrument playing, two flutes playing at the same time.

Both had different melodies, like they were made in different parts of Aionios with different materials and had different origins.

The salvager stepped back to one of the doors, where he took a look inside of the room.

It was a lightly lit room, where the source of light was multiple lit candles in the dark. Creating enough light to make most things in the room clear.

Luckily it wasn't super dark, so Rex could see those who were playing such instruments. There was one young woman playing the piano, with amber eyes, a large coat, and black leggings. Another younger woman was playing on a white flute, with green eyes, slightly brown hair, and a white Agnus garb.

But the last woman around the second one's age caught Rex's attention the most. She was a gormotti, just like Nia and his children. She had amber eyes and what looked like Nia's core crystal in her chest. Dawning a short sleeved jacket and long white boots.

"She looks just like Mio." Rex thought to himself, before snapping out if realization. "Wait, if this is Nia and I in the future. She probably IS Mio!"

The flutes continued synchronizing with the piano notes, as the final keys were played.

"Wow." Mio put her flute away from her mouth. "That sounded beautiful! What was that song called Na'el?"

The other Gormotti stood up from her chair. "Beyond the Sky."

The other girl gave a graceful smile. "Mio is right, it was truly a soothing song."

"Thank you Miyabi." Na'el smiled. "I think that's enough practice for today, would either of you be interested in playing that for the city children tomorrow?"

Mio nodded her head. "I would be fine with that, but…" She placed a hand on her chin. "I had plans of seeing Noah tomorrow, so I don't know if it'll work."

"You can go see Noah." Na'el said. "It can just be Miyabi and I."

"No no, I can just reschedule." The Gormotti put her hands forward. "I really don't mind and-"

That's when the three of them gave their attention to Rex, who was standing in the doorway with a smile on his face.

"That was awesome." The salvager said as he clapped his hands. "Never heard music quite like that!"

Mio pursed her lips. "D-da! You said you would just let us play!"

Rex looked confused. "I said that? But this is my first time seeing you, well…kind of."

Mio walked towards the salvager, looking into his eyes. "Hmm, that…is you. Right da? You look…younger."

Miyabi walked towards her friend and bowed. "Hello Master Rex, did you like our song?"

"I did, it was beautiful." The salvager smiled. "Especially Mio's flute, it sounded amazing."

"How do you know my name?" Mio asked out of curiosity, looking down to baby Mio. "And who…"

The baby let out a yawn, looking up at her older counterpart. "Huh? Mwommi?"

Her ears raised. "Mommy? Oh, no little one. I'm Mio."

"So is she."

The three of Agnus looked to see Nia and Matthew in the doorway now.

"Wait, mum?" Mio looked closer at the Gormotti. "Wait, I'm really confused."

Matthew put his hand up. "Hey Na'el, great song."

"Oh! Hi Matthew, thank you very much." Na'el smiled.

"So…mum, dad. What happened?" Mio asked. "Why do you both look so young? Da, what happened to your…um. You know, your muscles?"

Rex hit his chest. "I've got muscle, been working on it for a while."

Nia put her hand forward. "Sorry Mio, but we need to meet ourselves. Well…your parents. We'll explain everything then."

"I believe we should take them." Miyabi looked at her best friend. "If it would help them, I think we should assist them."

Mio nodded. "Alright, we can you take you to them."

"Thank you Mio." Rex thanked her as they left the music room and started making their way to the throne room again.

"It's not an issue." She politely said. "I'm just…a bit confused."

Back in Keves…

BOOM!

"Agh! Not again." A young boy with blond hair let out a sigh.

He got away from the machine he was working on, as there was a bit of soot on his face. While someone got up from their chair and walked towards him.

"Nikol!" The young woman with red hair and a ponytail said, rubbing his face with a cloth, "I told you to be more careful! Geez, now I need to use my cloth to clean your face!"

Nikol closed his eyes as she took away the cloth. "Sorry Glimmer, guess I should've waited for Riku to come back."

Glimmer let out a little sigh, as she put her cloth away. "It's fine. Just don't get all that crap in your face again." She had a little smile.

"Nikol!" A tall and blond woman peaked her head into the room. "I hope you two are hungry, I brought lunch!"

This was Fiora, the wife of Grand Marshal Shulk. As she carried a tray of sandwiches into the room and set it on the table.

"Oh! Thank you mum!" Nikol stood up and sat by one of the chairs near Glimmer.

She smiled in response. "Eat as many as want, there's plenty."

Glimmer reached forward to pick one up, as she proceeded to try and pick up another one. But a hand was placed in her way. "Huh? Hey!!"

Fiora was giving a peaceful smile, but one that was covered in a fearful aura. "One at a time Glimmer, you know the rules."

"Pfft. I'm hungry." Glimmer said. "You said I can eat as much as I want, so I'm doing just that-"

"One, at, a, time." Fiora said once again, closer to Glimmer's face than before. "You wouldn't want me to yell me your mom would you?"

Glimmer pursed her lips, trying to hide a small gulp out of fear. "F-fine." She sat down as Nikol started eating one sandwich, until Riku came into the door.

"Riku came to inform that we have guests. Shulk wants a family meeting." The Nopon said.

Fiora nodded. "Alright, I'll bring in the sandwiches. Manana should have other ones ready."

Nikol got up and followed his mom to the living room, as they all exited and left Glimmer. But Glimmer stood for a second to make sure Fiora had left the room.

She took another sandwich from behind her back, smiling.

"Haha."

In the living room…

Shulk and Melia sat down next to each other on one of the couches in the living room, as everyone else was taking their seats.

"Sorry everyone." Noah said as he scooched to the side on a different couch. Before looking up to his side. "Lanz? Sena? Don't you two want a seat?"

Lanz shook his head. "Nah we're good, I don't mind givin' room to everyone."

"And it keeps our energy up!" Sena exclaimed as she got to the ground and started doing push ups. "Huh! Come on Lanz! Let's see who can get to a hundred in the quickest time!"

Taion put his hands forward. "Sena I don't believe now is a good time to exercise."

Sena immediately stopped doing push ups, as she hopped back up and crossed her arms. "Yeah…sorry. Wrong place."

Taion put his hands on his lap. "It's better to do push ups in the appropriate place." Henthen slightly smiled. "But there's no need for an apology, your spirits are admirable."

"Eyyy check out the nice guy." Eunie playfully elbowed him.

He slightly jumped back in his chair. "H-hey! I can be nice too."

Eunie laughed in response. "Come on, just playin' with ya."

He nodded. "I'm aware."

"Alright then, is everyone present?" Shulk asked as he looked around the room. "Oh? I thought Riku was with us."

"Riku is right here."

That slightly spooked everyone, when they found out that the Nopon was standing in the middle of the room. Before he made his way over to the coach.

"I swear it feels like he just vanished out of nowhere." Melia whispered to Shulk, as her lover nodded his head.

"Now then, welcome to my home." Grand Marshal Shulk smiled, with his wife next to him. "I know that we're all quite confused right now. Would you be willing to explain where you two came from? I don't believe you are both from Aionios."

Shulk shook his head. "We are not, we're from the Bionis. We're the same Shulk and Melia as the ones in Aionios, but we're from a different universe. In the past."

"The past?" A voice asked from one of the doors, a voice similar to a certain High Entia queen in the room. "Now how did that happen?"

They glanced towards the door as a figure walked in. A woman with long grey hair that had two curls and wings in her head, dressed in a white and grey blue outfit. Holding a staff that had what appeared to be Monado parts on the top.

Melia Antiqua, the queen of Keves, the real Melia of Aionios.

Melia's eyes widened. "Wait, is she me?" She stood up and looked at her future self, who was giving her a calm smile.

"Yes, I believe we are one and the same." Queen Melia stated, as she stood by the couch that Fiora and Shulk were sitting on. "Thank you both for inviting me."

"Thank Noah, he asked me if I could come to this."

Shulk looked to the young man with a ponytail, nodding his head. "When you told us you wanted to see Queen Melia, I connected with her with my Ouroboros ability." He pressed something on the side of his head. "We're not supposed to have these anymore, but they're still useful."

Melia let out a small giggle, placing the bottom of her staff to the ground. "Yes, and do not worry. I was not busy with anything, I'll let you both continue your tale."

Eunie stared in amazement. "Bloody hell, she's amazing."

Eunie was always amazed by Queen Melia, she admired her. She used to feel a bit uncomfortable to be in the presence of someone of such high prestige, but as she fought alongside the queen during her and her friends' journey she grew more comfortable around her.

One of the reasons was because they both had wings in their head, they were both High Entia.

Back in Agnus Castle…

"So this much more muscular Rex, he's a good man?" Rex asked as they were getting closer and closer to the throne room.

Mio nodded her head, with her hands together in front of her. "Da is an amazing man. He's really strong, kindhearted, and brave."

"And he's a king too?" Nia looked towards Matthew.

He put his hands behind his head. "Eh, Rex didn't want the title of king. He said he'd prefer to defend the kingdom and let his wife lead Agnus."

Rex and Nia looked at each other, both of them quietly giggled to each other.

"So…where's uhhh Pyra and Mythra?"

"They're on vacation." A told them.

Nia covered her mouth and slightly laughed. "Did…this Rex marry those two as well?"

"Hm?" Matthew turned to them with a weird expression on his face. "No, why'd you ask?"

Nia pursed her lips and smiled while she turned to Rex, who let out a quiet sigh of relief.

"Here we are." Na'el put her hands forward, pushing the two large fates away. This was the moment, Rex and Nia could finally explain everything that was going on and they could finally meet their future selves!

There was a yellow light in the room, one that cleared up when they entered inside of the throne room.

It had a wooden like structure, but with gold patterns on the floor and on the walls. Agnus guards stood in lines on the sides of the throne room, with some tree parts and tree leaves in the top corners of the room.

And a wooden stairway on the other side led to a throne, a throne that was occupied by a woman in a yellow and white robe. With brown pants and two boots.

And a mask, with cat ears on her head.

Rex's eyes widened, as he ran forward and waved. "Hey! Queen Nia!!"

She looked down slightly.

"Rex!" Nia said harshly in a quiet tone. "What the hell are you-"

The figure quickly stood up, putting her hand out. "Stop right there!"

Rex immediately stopped. "A-alright!" As the Agnus guards pointed their spears at him.

"Now put your hands up!"

The salvager did so. "Now what?"

"I hear by sentence you to the joke penalty!"

Rex's eyebrow raised. "Wait? What? Joke penalty?"

"Oh, I meant the death penalty!"

Matthew's eyes widened. "What? But Queen Nia-"

The queen put her hand down and laughed a little bit. "Nah I'm just kidding, no death penalty."

The guards put their spears down, as Rex let out a small sigh of relief while the others grouped up with him.

"Be a little more careful next time, don't just run off like that." A quietly scolded him.

Nia slightly hit her husband on the back of his head. "What were ya thinking Rex?!"

"Sorry." He nervously laughed. "Just thought you looked pretty cool on that throne."

A smile came across her face. "Well, that is a very nice."

"Alright." Queen Nia said as she stood in front of her throne and pushed her mask to her face.. "Bfut answer mwe thwis, who awe ywo two?"

The group stared up at the queen, as Na'el scratched on of her ears. "Um, Queen Nia? Your mask?"

"Oh!" The queen took off her mask and set it on the throne. "Forgot this mask sometimes makes my voice muffled."

"Sometimes?" A whispered to herself.

"Mum, they're people that wanted to meet you." Mio stepped forward. "You and dad that is."

The Gormotti stared at her daughter for a second, before nodding. "Ahem. REEEX!! Get yer ass outta the gym!"

That's when a buff man pushed a door that was at one side of the room. He was very muscular with a blue and black jacket robe hybrid, along with brown hair and a beard.

This was Stoutheart Rex, as he was wiping his head with a hand towel. "Ass is out Nia, what's up?"

He turned to the group, specially Mio.

"Oh hahaha!" Stoutheart Rex then put an arm around his daughter. "Hey Mio, how's my favorite little flute player doing?"

"I'm great da." She smiled. "Did you arms get bigger?"

He let out another hearty laugh as he took his arm back. "Maybe I did. Honestly I've lost track of how much they grow."

The blade master turned his attention towards Rex, the present one as he stared at him.

"Hmm." Stoutheart Rex approached him, as both of them were staring each other in the eyes. "Now who are you?"

"Rex." The salvager answered. "I'm a salvager from Alrest."

"Hm." The more muscular man crossed his arms. "Last time I checked I'm the only Rex."

Rex nodded his head. "We're the same, It's a bit of a long story. A really long story."

Stoutheart Rex raised one of his eyebrows. "Hm, how old are you?"

"18 years old. I'm the Aegis' driver, a married man with three children. One of which is asleep right now. I'm Rex, from Alrest." The salvager answered.

Mio and Sara were staring intensely at Stoutheart Rex, as Sara put her little hands under her mouth.

Stoutheart Rex and Rex's states became more intense, as it felt like a dual between the two was about to occur. As Stoutheart Rex raised one of his hands.

Placing it on his younger version's shoulder.

"Ahahahaha!" The warrior laughed. "You really are me!"

Rex's eyes widened. "What? How could you tell?"

"The look in your eyes." Stoutheart smiled. "It's a look I had a long time ago, a flaming hope like no other. Been told I've had that look multiple times."

Nia grinned, holding Ethan up by his sides. "Takes two Rex's to understand each other."

"Dada!" Ethan threw up his arms.

Queen Nia approached her husband, placing a hand on his chest and kissing him on the cheek. "Okay, now what was it you wanted to explain to us?"

Rex and Nia nodded.

"Alright, let's explain."

At the same time as Shulk and Melia started explaining their story.

"We're from the Bionis, before it became Aionios."

"We're you from the past, a different universe."

"After we saved Alrest we settled down and started to live in this place called the Smash Mansion."

"It's a tournament called Super Smash Bros, and Pyra and Mythra became contenders in the tournament. But we were also allowed to stay."

"We started encountering adversaries of ours and the other fighters in the mansion. Including Mumkhar, after we'd been kidnapped by a man named Dade. We thought he had died in the prison he took us to, but he lived."

"He came to the mansion with many other villains with ill intentions. And sent us into a black hole which brought us here." Melia held her staff close. "And now I am pregnant, with Shulk's child."

"He wants to take control of every single universe in existence, and make them into his own. He thinks we're all dead, but we lived."

"And now we need your help to stop him."

"Would you all help us?"

Shulk asked as everyone had shocked expressions on their faces, eyes wide and jaws dropped.

"N-no way." Nikol said.

"That was…a large explanation indeed." Grand Marshal Shulk put a hand on his chin.

Euine hopped off of the couch. "Wait, so you two are ACTUALLY from the future?"

"That is what we said." Melia nodded.

Sena pursed her lips. "So our universe is gonna end? When we just saved it?! Oh, oh boy."

"This is definitely surprising." Noah crossed his arms. "Only our world was at stake, but now it's the entire universe."

The young man stood up and looked at Shulk and Melia. "Alright, I've made my decision. I'll help."

"Me too." Lanz nodded his head. "If there's any threats to our home, we've gotta give 'em a thrashing." He punched his fist into his palm.

Taion stood up from his seat too. "I think we're charging into this a bit early. But I agree, it'd be better for the safety of everyone and our home."

Sena smiled. "Yeah! Sounds really intimidating, but I'm up for the challenge!"

Eunie crossed her arms, staring at the ground. Unsure of if she was up for going up against a being like Dade. Nobody was that powerful, no human that is.

Then she felt a hand placed on her shoulder, looking up to see Queen Melia looking at her.

"Eunie, they need our help." The queen said with a smile. "You fought alongside me and everyone else against Moebius, we can save Aionios again."

The High Entia's eyes sparkled, before she grinned. "Yeah, you're right. Someone's gotta save the world. And come on, who else?"

"I'm on board too." Nikol raised his hand. "I don't know if I'd be too much help, but I know how a thing or two about machines."

"Sure I guess." Glimmer shrugged her shoulders.

"Riku wants world to stay peaceful." Riku put up one arm.

Grand Marshal Shulk let out a small laugh. "Alright, we're all in. We'll help you all save the multiverse."

Shulk smiled. "Thank you all, this means a lot to us. So now we need to-"

"Hold on." Queen Melia interrupted the Monado wielder. "I'm sorry for interrupting, but you mentioned something about my past self being pregnant. Is that true?"

Melia nodded her head. "Yes, I am carrying Shulk's child. It's been a bit-hmm!" She covered her mouth. "I need a bathroom, where is it?"

"Down the hall to the left." Fiora pointed to the direction of the bathroom.

The younger empress ran towards down the hallway, as the group could hear retching noises coming from the bathroom.

Queen Melia then turned to Eunie. "Eunie, you and my younger self meet in the kitchen when she's done."

"Yeah, we'll definitely help you!" Stoutheart Rex had a gigantic grin on his face. "After all, ya can't take down any Turkins without an anchor shot!"

Mio turned to her father. "That…dosent make any sense, da."

"Well ya can't fill em with beans without the beating." Matthew put his hands on his hips with a grin.

"What?" A asked. "I don't understand."

Queen Nia shook her head. "They're both weirdos sometimes. But yes, we will help you defeat this Dade guy."

"Of course." Mio smiled.

"Thank you me." Nia thanked herself.

"No problem, younger me." Queen Nia laughed quietly to herself, before looking down at the baby strapped to Nia's chest. "Huh?"

Nia's eyebrows raised. "Oh! Right, I'll let ya walk Ethan." She unstrapped her oldest child and set him on the ground, as the toddler began walking with a huge smile on his face. "You love walking by yourself, don't you? Yes you do!"

Queen Nia stared at the toddler. "Wait, his name is Ethan?"

"Yeah." Nia nodded her head. "He was Rex and I's first son, came out as a healthy babe. And he's growing up real fast."

Nia looked towards Rex, who was showing Sara and Mio to his older counterpart. Both of them were laughing with each other.

"Wait, oh!" I wanted to ask." Rex looked to Stoutheart Rex and Queen Nia, as both couples were now near each other. "Osnthere an older Sara or Ethan? I mean Mio's right here." The Gormotti gave a wave. "So where are those two?"

Queen Nia suddenly looked mortified. Her eyebrows raised and some kind of fear was in her eyes.

Stoutheart Rex even looked slightly uncomfortable, as he looked to the ground and pursed his lips.

Why did their moods suddenly change?

Mio herself seemed uncomfortable, as she was twisting her foot and putting er hands together. "Well…they're…"

"They're what?" Nia asked, both her and her husband were confused. "Where are they? If this is the future then they should-"

"They're dead."

Nia and Rex's eyes widened, hearing two words that shook them.

Rex put a hand forward. "I-I'm sorry. What?"

Queen Nia looked up, a sad expression on her face. "They're dead, no longer alive." The queen then turned around and began walking out of the room. "I need a minute."

Nia and Rex both seemed shocked, as Stoutheart Rex looked to his wife. "N-Nia." He let out a small sigh before turning to his counterpart. "Sorry, you just brought up a pretty touchy topic."

"I-I'm sorry." Rex apologized as his head was down low.

Stoutheart shook his head. "Nah, you don't need to be sorry. Ya didn't know." The warrior wiped his eye, as he followed after Queen Nia. "Better talk to Nia, we'll talk after."

As soon as he left, Rex and Nia looked at each other.

"Really Rex?" Nia placed her hands on her hips. "Ya just had to say that?"

"I didn't know!" Rex defended himself. "How was I supposed to know that they're…not alive."

Nia's expression eased. "Yeah, sorry. You're right." The Gormotti picked up Ethan. "So then…Ethan and Sara are going to die?"

"I don't want that to happen." Rex held his twin girls closer to himself. "Why…is it going to actually happen? I mean this is our lives in the future but, does everything stay the same?"

Mio walked towards the two. "I'm sorry you two had to find out this way. Both Ethan and Sara are no longer alive, when I was little I became an only child. But…I forgot what happened to them, I lost almost all of my memories when Origin came to Aionios. But when Origin was destroyed it all changed."

Matthew nodded his head. "Don't think I was around either, neither was Na'el."

Nia furrowed her brow. "You weren't around?"

"Matthew and I are actually descendants of Rex and Nia." Na'el answered, leaving the two flabbergasted. "Time was different in Origin, and then we ended up here when it was destroyed."

"Oh." Rex gave a silent nod. "That, makes sense." The salvager then turned to his Gormotti wife. "We should go talk to them, ourselves. You know what I mean."

She nodded in response. "Yeah."

Back in Keves….

Eunie was leaning against the stove of the kitchen, where Melia stood next to her while wiping her mouth.

"I'm sorry about that." Melia apologized. "I couldn't help it."

"Nothing to apologize for, can't hold in puke." Eunie pulled on the parts of her jacket.

Queen Melia made her entrance, as she smiled. "Eunie is right. Now, you're both here? Good."

There was a tiny bit of silence between the three High Entia, before Eunie decided to speak up. "Sooo…what did you want to tell us about?"

"Ah, yes." Queen Melia smiled. "Eunie, you remember when I told that we are the same?"

"Yeahhhh." Euine nodded her head. "But what about it? It's just cause we're both High Entia right?"

The queen shook her head. "No no, not just that. Have you noticed your wings? They're white, and bigger than the other Entia. It's sort of like how Mio and Nia are connected."

"But those Mio's Queen Nia's daughter, what are you trying to say Queen-"

Her eyes widened, what the queen was saying made sense to her. Speaking about how their wings were similar, how they were the same, bringing up Nia and Mio?

Eunie stopped leaning. "Y-you're not serious, you're joking."

Queen Melia politely shook her head. "I am not joking."

"B-but then that would mean…are you." Her eyes started sparkling, a bit watery too. "Queen Melia…are you my?"

The queen nodded, walking forward and placing her hands on both sides of her daughter's head.

"Eunie, I am your mother. And you are my daughter."

Melia's eyes widened. "Then that means…"

The High Entia's eyes widened. "Y-you're serious? You're my mum?! I'm actually your daughter?! I'm the daughter of Aionios' greatest queen?!"

Queen Melia chuckled. "Yes, you are. You're the princess of Keves, my daughter. A daughter that I could never be less proud of." She slightly shook her head, her eyes a little beard teary, "I've wanted to tell you for so long Eunie, I wanted to take care of you personally in Origib. But I couldn't. I was trapped, I had to see you perish so many times, I just kept hoping and hoping. Hoping that we would finally be set free from Origin, and you did it. You saved Aionios with Noah and everyone else. I'm so happy, that I can tell you-what?"

Eunie was sniffling, as her eyes were teary eyed and coming down her cheeks. "Sniff, m-mum…mummy."

"Oh! Eunie are you crying?" Queen Melia asked, worried that she had somehow upset her daughter.

The High Entia sniffed again. "N-no! I'm not crying! My eyes are just sweatin', that's…all. Mum!" She hugged her tightly and continued crying. "I actually have real family! Related to me!"

"Yes, yes you do." Queen Melia laughed. "I'm so happy, and I'll be with you until we die. I love you, Euine."

"I—I love you too Que-I mean mum." She sniffed again, grinning.

Melia smiled while watching the two reunite, Eunie reuniting with her future self. A mother and a daughter finally see each other and love each other once again.

The empress placed a hand on her swollen stomach, she wondered if she was carrying Eunie. A younger, still developing Eunie growing in her womb. Nevertheless, she would love her no matter what.

Eunie stopped. "Wait, if I'm your daughter. Then who's my-"

"Melia! Eunie!" Grand Marshal Shulk and Shulk came into the kitchen.

"What is it Shulk?" Melia asked.

Noah entered next. "There's something outside and it's looming over Aionios."

Queen Melia created her staff, holding it in one hand and appearing serious. "What did it look like?"

"I don't know if you'll believe this." The young man said once again.

"But Origin is floating in the sky."

---

We are brought back to Agnus, in the bedroom of Queen Nia and Stoutheart Rex. Where we could see the married couple sitting on their bed, the two of them slightly crying.

"I was so overdramatic." The queen had her hands on her face. "I just didn't expect them to be brought up."

"It's alright Nia." Stoutheart Rex had his arm around her. "We both know they're at least sleeping away, soundly."

The Gormotti looked up at her husband. "Ya really think so?"

He nodded. "I know, come on."

"Scuse' me?"

The couple looked to the doorway, where their younger counterparts were with their kids.

"Oh, come in." Stoutheart said as he readjusted on the bed. "What's up you two?"

"Well Rex..I mean. Me." Rex started speaking. "Sorry I brought that up back in the throne room."

Queen Nia shook her head. "Like he said you don't need to apologize. It just caught us off guard."

Nia then spoke next. "Hey, so you told us that Ethan and Sara died? How…did they die?"

Stoutheart Rex and his wife looked at each other, before nodding.

"Have a seat you two." Stoutheart Rex said as the two of them sat on the floor. "It's important we tell you. It was a few years after we had saved Alrest, Nia and I had gotten married. And we had our first son, he had the same name as yours."

Many years ago….

"OOOWAAAHHH OWWWWAAAH!!"

"Ai!!!" Nia let out a final scream before lying back on the bed, as loud cries emerged from the bed she lied on.

A small child was being brought up by the doctors in the room, where Rex stood at the side of the bed. Eyeing at the newborn creation.

"By the titans…" The salvager's face lit up. "He's beautiful. Nia we did it!"

The Gormotti was letting out many breaths. "W-we? What do you mean we?" She let out a small laugh.

"Congratulations you two." The doctors handed over the newborn, red and wriggling in his blankets. "It's a boy."

Nia reached out and held the newborn in her arms, both her and Rex looking over it.

The Gormotti smiled as she looked to her husband. "Welcome to parenthood, Rex."

He let out a laugh while kissing her on the lips. "Couldn't be any happier."

3 weeks later…

"We had to live in a hospital home at the time, to make sure Ethan was alright. But as weeks went on, Ethan became very sick."

"Rex! He's acting up again!"

Exclaimed Nia as she held Ethan in her arms, a red blush on his face as he was crying.

"Again?" Rex asked. "That's the fifth time this week, is any of the medicine working?" He looked to the Gormotti, who shook her head.

"None of it's working. His fever's really bad." Nia placed one of her hands on the boy's head. "Blimey hell, his head's hotter than before!

The salvager placed a hand on his chin, thinking. "Let's put him back in his crib and give him more medicine, we'll stay by him to check on him."

She nodded. "Okay, let's try that."

3 more weeks later…

"But nothing ever worked, doctors couldn't do anything. None of the medicine worked. Whatever disease he had, there wasn't a cure for it."

Ethan lied in his crib, barely moving as many doctors surrounded him. He was barely breathing, and his body temperature was only increasing by the minute.

"Come on!" Nia yelled as them. "There's nothing you can do?! He's just lying there in clear pain! What kinda bloody doctors are all a ya?!"

Rex had to hold her back, as the doctors were making sure the two didn't get close to him. "Nia! Stop!"

"No!!!" Nia pushed him away and quickly picked up her child. "Shhh shhh. It's alright baby, it's okay Ethan, mommy's here."

But both parents suddenly realized.

He wasn't moving at all, not even a little flinch.

And his breathing could no longer be heard, neither could his heartbeat.

"N-no." Rex trembled as he placed a hand on his son's chest. "Ethan? Hey buddy, c-come on."

"He's not breathing." Nia shook, tears in her eyes. "NO!!! No no no no wake up Ethan!!" She slightly shook him.

"Ma'am please stop!" The doctors said as they tried to stop her and Rex from shaking the child.

Ethan, had died.

A child lost, before he could breathe in the air of life.

"Then almost two years later, we had the twins. Everything was fine, until Sara turned four. Something was happening to her body."

"Come on! We need to get her back to bed!"

"She's weaker than she was yesterday, what happened?"

The voices of the doctors yelled as they were farting Sara through the halls, rushing her to a hospital room. While Rex and Nia were running with them.

"From what we've found, one of her kidney's is damaged."

"How is it damaged?"

While a little Mio was running with them.

"Mama? Da? What's wrong with Sara?"

Nia quickly turned to her.

"N-nothing Mio, just go play."

Mio stopped as she watched her parents and the doctors run down the hall, seeing them get farther and farther away with each second.

Mio looked to the ground with a saddened expression.

"Sara…."

"Muma…dada…"

Sara spoke as she lied in bed. Her vision was waning.

"Hey, hey it's gonna be okay Sara." Rex put his hand over her hand. "Mummy and daddy are here."

"Please Sara, keep fighting." Nia placed her hand on her daughter's other hand.

The child blinked. "I feel like…I'm not re…cough..membering….anything…"

Rex placed his other hand on the bed. "No Sara come on. We still need you, you still need you, Mio still needs you!"

"W-who's…Mio?"

Both of their eyes widened, their daughter had forgotten her twin?

"I'm kinda sleepy….goodnight…whoever y…you two are."

Sara closed her eyes, and her heart stopped beating.

"Sara died too." Queen Nia put her hands together. "She had some kind of dementia then her organs started melting, but both of them came completely out of nowhere. She didn't show any signs to us before, and then she just…died."

The two had finished their story, leaving both their younger counterparts shocked.

"So they both die." Nia crossed her arms as she and her husband stood up. "When they were young, why?"

"We already said, we don't know." Stoutheart Rex sighed.

"But there's gotta be some kind of reason!" Rex exclaimed. "People don't just some devastating sickness like that!"

Queen Nia looked angrily up. "You think we don't know that?! We'd do anything to know why they died!" She let out a sigh while wiping a tear from her eye. "But we can't, we don't know."

Rex and Nia stood, this story shook them like an earthquake. Two of their children die in the future, it would leave Mio alone.

The salvager immediately gained a look of determination on his face.

"No."

Everyone looked at him.

"No?" Stoutheart Rex stood up. "What do ya mean no?"

"I'm not letting it happen." Rex seemed determined. "I'm not letting my kids die! These three are some of the greatest things things they've ever happened in my life! And I'm not letting ANY of em die! Ethan's been alive for two years, he hasn't died at all! He would've died just seven weeks into his life!"

Nia's eyes widened. "Rex…"

"And you know what older me?" Rex pointed at Stoutheart Rex. "I'm gonna get to the bottom of this and find out why both Ethan and Sara died! Someone must've done something to them, and I'll find out who! For you two, and for the future of my children!"

Stoutheart Rex stared at him, while both Nias did the same.

"Hehe." Stoutheart laughed. "Hahahahaha! You'd really do that? For us?"

The salvager nodded. "I would."

"Well." Stoutheart hugged his counterpart. "I like your attitude kiddo, I'm gonna hold you to that promise!"

"Good." Rex grinned. "I'd hope nothing less!"

Suddenly, there was a huge shake. Like a small earthquake, that seemingly came out of nowhere.

Nia looked everywhere. "Oi! What was that?"

Queen Nia hurried to the window, as her eyes widened. "Oh no." She immediately turned to the rest. "Everyone outside! Now!"

The sun was setting on Aionios, and something was looking over it.

A gigantic orb, one ten times the size of a boss from Shadow of the Colossus. It had sharp marks across it and was glowing purple in multiple parts.

This is Origin, the beginning of Z. And why Aionios had stayed stuck in time.

And Z Saar inside of the contraption, of what appeared to be some kind of theater. He had been revived once again, to see over the world through the projection inside of Origin.

He just stared at it, barely making much of a move. "Do you want it thus, oh ye voices?"

"Who are you talking to?" Malos asked as he walked forward, around where Z was sitting. "Oh, so this is Origin eh?"

Z closed his eyes. "It is, I presume you wish to cause destruction upon the land?"

"What kind of question is that?" The Aegis laughed. "Destroying it sounds good."

"Hey!"

A giant mechanical spider mech entered the theater, destroying some of the chairs in the process. While a completely pale and fat boy was inside of it.

"You better leave some destruction for me!" The boy said. "Cause right after this I wanna go to Onett and give Ness and Lucas they're just desserts!"

"Well Porky, I think you've had enough dessert." Malos said. "You fatass."

Porky let out a dead laugh. "Well Porky's my name for a reason! Now can we get to the destruction? I got thousands of Pig-Mask minions ready to cause chaos!"

Z stood up from his chair. "Why of course, do what you please."

Malos created his Monado. "You're right, let's just cut the chit chat and get on with it."

Shulk and the group ran outside, where it appeared like it was getting darker due to Origin's immense size.

"So that's Origin." Shulk said, shocked by its immense size. It almost reminded him of the Bionis and the Mechonis. "It's huge."

"I thought we'd destroyed it." Lanz said. "So this Dade fella can remake Origin too? How powerful is he?!"

"If he's powerful enough to be able to conquer every universe, he must be very formidable." Taion stated as he summoned his Mondo. "And it seems we have company."

A giant mass descended from Origin, it looked like a giant swarm of flies coming down.

"Everyone be ready!" Grand Marshal Shulk took out his own Monado. "They have an army and we need to fight back!"

Everyone created their weapons as the army descended closer and closer to the ground.

"Alright." Noah truer created his weapon, but nothing was coming. "Oh…right."

"Friend Noah threw Lucky 7 into ocean." Riku said sternly. "The ocean, sword was one of Riku's greatest creations!"

He pursed his lips, creating two dual swords instead. "Yeah, sorry Riku."

The swarm started landing on the ground, but they weren't really a swarm. They were small soldiers.

They were small soldiers with pig masks and big ray guns. They were Porky's Pig-Mask army and they were charging at Keves.

"Oink oink oink oink." The soldiers were oinking as they ran into the city.

"Here they come!" Sena exclaimed as they began battling the pig soldiers, with her swinging her hammer at one of them. "Strike one!"

"Crash out!" Lanz yelled as he slammed his giant sword on a row of Pig-Masks.

Melia ducked under on of their shots, putting her staff up. "Summon bolt!"

"I've got you Melia!" Shulk jumped and slashed at the electric orb with his Monado, which sent it towards a huge group of the soldiers.

Which created a large explosion that made them scatter.

Back in Agnus…

The group in Agnus castle stood at the front gate, looking up at the gigantic orb.

Stoutheart Rex let out a breath, creating two swords. One like Pyra's, the other like Mythra's.

"Woah!" Rex looked at his older self. "Yep swords at once?"

The warrior chuckled. "Yup, Morag trained me. And—no way."

He saw someone floating closer to then, staring down at them.

"Malos." Rex's eyes widened. "Forgot Dade brought him back."

"Hello Rex." The Aegis smiled. "Been a while, and now I get to fight two of you." He placed the blade of his weapon on his shoulder. "And it looks like the older brat has been hitting the gym!"

"Five days a week, Malos." Stoutheart Rex smiled. "Surprised to see you given another chance at life."

Malos laughed in response. "Dade drives hard bargains, now I get a second chance to battle you."

"Thought you'd accepted you lost." Rex pulled out his own sword, his junk sword.

Nia looked at her husband. "Really Rex? That piece of junk?"

"Why not?" He shrugged. "Can ya help me out?"

The Gormotti blade grinned, creating her water blade and handing it to the salvager. "Show time!"

Malos then dived towards Rex and Stoutheart Rex, with his hand out.

Rex looked to Nia. "Good thing we left the kids inside."

"HHGGGGRAH!!" Malos yelled as his sword clashed with the four swords of both Rex's, caught in a desperate clash.

Until the three blasted right through the ground and down towards the bottom of Agnus Castle.

The others looked down at the hole, with Matthew's gauntlets shifting as he proceeded to crack his knuckles. "I'll fill em full a beans!"

"NYAHAHAHAHA!"

A goblin like laugh came through the air, causing the group to look up.

Queen Nia looked to her descendants. "Myself and I will help our Rex's, take care of whoever that is." The two proceeded to jump down to follow their husbands.

"Affirmative." A said as she summoned her Monado blade. "But where did the laugh come from?"

Suddenly a small orange pumpkin fell from the sky, landing right in Na'el's hands.

"What is this?" She asked as the pumpkin started beeping. "Wait, is this…"

"A bomb!" Matthew quickly grabbed it and threw it towards the air, as it exploded in green smoke with a maniacal laugh.

"Nyahahahaha! What's wrong? Was that the trick not the bomb? You may not be Spider-Man but you'll do!" Laughed a maniacal man standing on a glider. The Green Goblin.

A held her blade while Na'el created energy with her hands. "Who are you? Speak your name."

The crazy villain stood on his glider. "Green Goblin's the name! Chaos is my game!"

"A goblin?" Matthew asked. "Didn't know goblins wore weird clothes like that."

"Hah, you haven't seen weird yet!" He took out another pumpkin bomb and started flying around by the base. "Hope you're ready for more explosive fun!"

"Let's go!" Na'el exclaimed as the group started trying to hit the supervillain.

Mio and Miyabi were hiding by one of the castle walls, as the former grabbed the latter's hand.

"Come on Miyabi, we need to meet up with Noah." The Gormotti said as they approached one of the ships.

"Alright." The flute player nodded.

Meanwhile down below Rex and Stoutheart were still descending with Malos, still their blades intercepting each other as they fell.

"Guess you really HAVE been busy, brat." Malos grinned.

Rex grunted in response. "When you're married and a father of three, you're naturally pretty busy."

"Yeah and when you're hitting the gym you're a lot stronger!" Stoutheart Rex kicked Malos away as the three landed on the ground. "Got ya off at the perfect time."

Malos let out a small laugh. "Close timing as usual, but your time's limited. Haaaaargh!" He charged forward with his sword.

Rex and Stoutheart Rex nodded at each other, as the former charged forward. "Get ready for this Malos!"

He put his junk sword forward, charging with fury.

Until Malos swung his blade forward, as Rex stood still. His junk sword was immediately cut in half, before it fell straight to the ground in two.

Rex looked down, before turning his attention back to Malos. "Hrrah!" He started clashing Nia's blade with Malos, the two's swords hitting each other every second.

"Double spinning edge!" Stoutheart came forward and swung his blades twice.

"Urgh." Malos blocked Rex's attacks, but couldn't block Stoutheart Rex's. "Agh! Monado Cylcone!"

That move knocked back both Rex's, as they changed their stances. Both Nia's landed by their husbands, with their own weapons. "Nia?"

"We're not letting you two dolts fight alone." Nia cracked her knuckles. "Ya forgot that we're some pretty bloody good healers."

"Perfect." Stoutheart grinned. "Let's show him a thing or three!"

"These…pigs don't let up!" Euine yelled as she blasted more Pig-Masks. "Little sparking shites."

"Pew pew pew pew." The soldiers were firing their lasers.

Lanz put his blade down and created a shield. "Go Sena!"

Sena jumped right over him and bashed more minions by spinning. "Giant swing!"

"We're clearing them, they're almost all gone." Queen Melia stated, as she turned around quickly. "Me!"

Melia appeared to be dizzy, as she was barely able to stand on her own two feet. "Oooh. I don't feel very. HMMM!"

She proceeded to look down, throwing up on the ground.

"Oink." A Pig-Mask soldier said as more started charging at her. "Oink oink."

Suddenly they all started slipping on the vomit, causing them to fall to the ground and make them slip.

All could be heard was them oinking as they fell onto the ground.

"Wow." Eunie said as she watched them fall. "Now that's what I call a dangerous gag, nice mum."

"Which?" Melia and Queen Melia asked.

"I believer we've cleared them all out." Taion said.

Glimmer looked around. "Yeah, if you don't count the fact that their bodies are scattered everywhere." She then used her bow to play on her weapon, creating balls of fire.

"Why the fireballs Glimmer?" Nikol asked.

"To hit that giant mechanical spider behind you."

"What?!"

She shot flames at whatever was behind the teenager.

"Agh!" The giant mechanical spider jumped back. It was Porky, who had apparently made his way out of Origin. "Hey no fun! That's not fair!"

"Says the guy sneaking up behind my friend." Glimmer scoffed as she walked up to Nikol. "And who are you fatty?"

"Porky's the name!" The boy laughed. "Wow! I can't wait to remove all of you from this world!"

Shulk's Monado's energy blade came out. "We won't let you do any of that Porky!"

"You know him?" Grand Marshal looked to his younger self, receiving a nod.

"He's one of my friends' enemies."

"He's not alone."

A golden armored figure said as he landed on top of Porky, with long black hair and a sword that looked like Origin.

Noah's mouth opened up. "What?!"

"N too?!" Lanz asked. "I thought you'd accepted your loss!"

N looked up, a dull expression. One of his defining characteristics. "I don't know what you're talking about."

He immediately jumped off of the mechanical boy, approaching Noah. Who was gripping his swords.

N put his hands on the handle of his blade.

"This may be the N from before he had died." Taion whispered to Riku and Manana.

"Oh no." Eunie said. "But then that means he's…"

Noah stood without fear, even when N came closer and closer. "N, I know you aren't the one we know. But…"

N quickly turned around, taking out his sword and slashing it towards…

Porky!

"Blood Moon!" N exclaimed as a bloody red slash hit the mechanical spider.

This shocked everyone, especially Porky as the fat boy was constantly tapping the glass of his container with his spider legs.

"Wha?! What the heck N?! You're on my side!"

N stood still once again. "Wrong, I am not on your side. Or Tod's."

Porky looked shocked. "Tod?! Who's that?!"

"It is that fool Dade's real name." N pointed his sword at the boy. "I'm not interested in furthering his goals."

The others smiled.

"Nope." Eunie smiled. "He's the one we know!"

Porky looked mad. "Urgh. You're a traitor just like Magalor!! I can't believe this!"

"They're not alone!"

Two rings were thrown towards Porky, landing right onto the top of his container.

"Who was that?" Shulk asked.

"Mi-Mi's finally here!" Sena cheered. "Yippee!"

Indeed, Mio and Miyabi were flying through the air. About to land onto the ground.

Mio landed on top of Porky, pulling out her weapon rings and doing a front flip. She was caught right in Noah's arms.

"Good catch Noah." She said as he set her down. "Sorry that we're both late."

"It's nothing to worry about." The young man said, spinning his dual blades in his hands. "Now, we're just left with him.

Everyone turned to Porky, giving him intense looks as their weapons were ready for clobbering.

"Hey guys." Lanz cracked his neck. "What do you say we interlink and give this guy a thrashing?"

"I believe that's a perfect idea." One of Taion's eyes glowed.

"Alright." Noah placed his hand with Mio's, Lanz did the same with Sena, and Taion did the same with Eunie. "I need you Mio."

Suddenly in a flash the six disappeared, soon being replaced by three giant purple figures. With yellow glowing eyes and weaponry attached to their bodies.

Porky gulped.

"GET IM'!" Lanz and Sena's Ouroboros form exclaimed.

Everyone charged towards the boy while he made his attempt to escape. But to no avail, he could not.

"YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO ME!! I'M GREATNESS!!"

"Nyahahaha!" Green Goblin laughed as he ducked under one of A's sword slashed. "I thought super computers were supposed to be super!"

"Super this!" Matthew exclaimed and jumped on the villain's glider, holding tightly onto him. "Got you now!

The goblin immediately tried shaking him off. "Hey! This vehicle is not to exceed more than one passenger! Get off!"

Matthew grinned. "Is that right? Well then looks like we're gonna crash! A get ready!"

A placed her sword forward, a white flash in her eyes. "I see it."

"Hey, get…off of me!" Goblin exclaimed as they were charging towards A.

"With pleasure!" Matthew jumped right off and landed on the ground.

"Huh? Why did he-"

He looked forward as A had her blade raised up.

"Have a nice flight." She said.

"Oh no."

Then the glider was knocked to the ground, along with the Green Goblin as it started skittering on the ground and off of the castle.

Gobby landed face first, as he shook his head and looked up.

The three were standing, with their weapons still ready.

"Had enough Gobby?" Matthew asked. "Don't think you're that much useful without your little board."

"Stay down, if you know what is good for you." Na'el said.

"Nice Na'el."

"Thanks Matthew." They whispered to each other.

"Hmhmhmhahaha!" Green Goblin laughed as he got back up. "If I'm going down, I'm taking you all with me!" He took out a bunch of pumpkin bombs. "One click of this button and-"

That's when a laser blast hit him, knocking him right off of the castle.

"AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" He yelled before splashing into the water.

The three were surprised.

"But what was-" Matthew looked up. "Ohhhh!"

There was a giant ship in the sky, evidently it's where the laser blast came from.

"Guess who's back bitches?!" A female Australian voice asked.

"Ghondor, watch your language."

"I say what I like bitch-queen."

Matthew held out his arms. "Heyyyy if it isn't my granddaughter and great granddaughter! Why don't you two come down here and give your gramps a hug?"

"Later, gramps." The younger woman said.

They were Matthew's descendants. Monica Vandham his granddaughter, and her daughter Ghondor.

"Rolling Smash!" Both Stoutheart Rex and Rex slammed their blades onto Malos's head.

"AGH!" He yelled, barely standing straight.

The other four were still in for a fight.

"Come on, still up for it?" Nia asked.

Malos shook his head. "No, forget it. I'll just wait until Dade takes over the universe."

He created an orange portal, turning around.

"Malos." Rex said.

"See you later kid." Malos walked into it. "We settle this in the final battle."

He walked through the portal, before it completely disappeared.

"He just left, just like that." Stoutheart Rex put his blades away.

Rex nodded his head. "I think we'll see him again though."

"Thanks Ghondor." Queen Nia thanked the fighter as the group had been given a lift up back to the top of the castle.

"Yeah no problem." She said. "Still confused about why there's two a you, but whatevs."

A and Na'el came out of the castle, holding Ethan and the twins.

"Ethan!" Mia exclaimed as she ran towards the two.

"They're both completely safe." A stated, holding Ethan forward. "Please, this baby has a strong stench."

"Yay!" Ethan threw his arms out.

Nia laughed. "Needs a diaper change." She accepted Mio and Sara. "Can you change him real quick?"

"But…"

"Thanks A." The Gormotti said as she walked away.

Her eyes widened. "H-hey! I didn't offer to change him." She sighed. "Alright."

"Hey come on A, I got him." Matthew picked up the baby and went to change him.

The super computer proceeded to smile. "Thank you Matthew."

"We're not done yet, we still gotta take care of Origin."

They looked off at the giant sphere.

When suddenly a giant slash went right down it vertically, making it split right in half.

"Alright, Porky's all tied up." Shulk said as Lanz and Sena were tying rope around the giant robot spider.

"Now we just need to destroy Origin again-" Noah looked up to the sky.

In which Origin was split completely in half.

(Play One Winged Angel)

"What the spark?!" Eunie exclaimed. "Did you do that N?!"

The man in gold armor shook his head. "No."

"Shulk." Melia said. "What do you think it-ohh."

"Sephiroth." Shulk said as he could see the one winged angel was floating in the air. "I have to admit I'm kind of relieved."

"Should we be though?" Nikol asked.

Then another figure appeared in the air, shooting two lasers which destroyed both halves as they exploded.

"Aunt Pneuma too?" Mio asked.

"Mom?" Glimmer looked surprised.

"That should do it." Sephiroth said.

Pneuma looked at him. "Why didn't we do that when it first came here?"

He turned to her. "It's best to savor the moment."

Sephiroth had brought the Agnus group over to Keves, holding an orange crystal.

"Hello everyone." He said. "I have brought this crystal."

"Thanks Sephiroth." Shulk accepted the crystal. "Rex, Nia, you're alive!"

"Same to you two." Nia smiled. "And we brought company."

Rex ran to Pneuma. "Pyra! Mythra you're okay!"

She nodded her head. "Yes we are Rex." The Aegis looked up, looking at Glimmer. "Why, hello there."

The young woman crossed her arms. "Hey…mom?"

Pneuma put her hand on Glimmer's head. "No. Well, yes. I am a part of Pyra. But not your Pyra."

Glimmer sadly smiled, running forward and throwing her arms around Pneuma. "Stull technically my mom."

Pneuma have a warm smile.

"Awwww." They awed.

Pneuma smiled at her daughter, before she brought Sephiroth over with her arm around her. "Meet your new father Glimmer!"

Her eyes widened. "WHAT?!"

"I'm joking."

Glimmer grunted. "Don't do that again."

"Right." Noah nodded his head. "Now let's take this Porky person and-"

Porky was completely gone, except for the ropes that were tying him up earlier.

"Shite." Eunie clenched her fist. "He's gone."

Sephiroth smiled. "Crush the crystal Shulk."

Shulk nodded. "Alright."

The Homs crushed it with his bare hands.

Everyone disappeared in an orange flash.
