Francis sits on the couch of the hotel lobby, trying to shave down a piece of wood in his hand, "Alright, just gotta get it juuuust right..." As he held the knife away from himself, he whittled the wood into a circular shape. As he cut into the wood at the table, the shavings would fall on the table. Which would make Niffty take a small feather duster and brush the wood shavings into a pan with a large smile on her face.
As he continued his whittling, she would giggle, "Hehe, clean, clean, clean!"
Charlie walked into the lobby and spotted her brother holding the small carving knife. She rushes over to take it out of his hands, "Woah! Francis, what are you doing with this? You know you're not allowed to play with knives!"
The prince pouted and reached for the tiny blade, "Charlie! Taking a sharp object out of someone's hands is dangerous too! Besides, it's just a carving knife! I'm not playing with it, I'm making something!" As he spoke, the housekeeper left since there stopped being a mess to clean.
The taller woman looked down at her brother, "Oh, you're making something? What is it?" She looked over his shoulder and spotted the object in his lap.
Francis pouted as he attempted to hide the small wooden object, "Charlie, it's nothing!"
She pressed her face next to his, "Aww, it doesn't look like nothing! Come on, let me see! I wanna see!" Her hands land on his, encouraging him to show her what he was trying to hide.
The boy groaned but opened his hands to reveal a small wooden object in the sort of shape of a duck. He was pouting and his face flushed in embarrassment. There was definitely an ATTEMPT to make it look like a duck.
His sister tilted her head as she looked at it, "Ooooh wow, that's a cute..."
The little brother looked at her blankly, "It's a duck."
The princess smiled at him as she held the wooden duck in her hands, "I was just about to say that! ...Why are you making a duck out of wood?"
Francis shrugged his shoulders, "Well, uh, it's supposed to be a gift... For Dad."
She quickly gave the wooden duck back to him, "Ooooh! Aw, well, aren't you sweet!"
The prince rubbed his forehead, "Yeah well, as sweet I am, it's not going well. It looks nothing like a duck!" He picks up the wooden object as Vaggie enters the room, "Maggie! What does this look like to you?"
Charlie's girlfriend squinted at the figure, "Uh... A cat?"
Husk's ears perked up at the bar, "Hey, I take offense to that. Looks more like a dog to me." Cricket sat at the bar and chuckled at his old friend.
Francis frowns at all three of them, "What, aw come on!" He turned to cat demon, "...It's not a cat, don't worry. But it's also not a dog, it's a duck!"
The bunny demon shakes his head at the owner of his soul, "If that's a duck then I'm a poodle. Kid, it works better to soak the wood in water before carving it. Not for too long to make it completely damp but long enough to make it a little soft."
The prince tilted his head at him, "Wait, really? That'll work?"
Cricket shrugged his shoulders at him, "Yeah, it should." He spotted Husk raising his eyebrow at him, "...What? You know my dad was a carpenter before he got fired, right? Of course I learned a few things from him."
The goat boy's eyes sparkled at him, "Oh neat! Thank you so much, Cricket! I'll keep that in mind."
The old rabbit smiled slightly at him, "Hm... Uh, you're welcome, kid." He tilted his head, "...Actually what do I call you?"
Francis waved his hand, "Eh, kid is fine. I may own your soul but you don't have to call me anything special. Oh but 'Prince' is fine!" He looked up at his sister, "Right, Charlie?"
The princess smiled at her brother, "Well, I guess that's fine but I think just calling you by your name might be better for the both of you."
The goat boy wagged his tail, "True, true." He then stopped wagging his tail as he started to count how many sinners were in the hotel, "Hey Charlie... How long does it take to redeem a soul?"
His older sister tilted her head at him, "Hm? Why do you ask?"
The boy puts the wooden duck in his backpack before putting it back on the floor, "Well uh... You've been at this for months and no one has gone up to Heaven yet. Is it a timing thing? Or like a gold star system?"
Charlie scratched her chin with a strained smile on her face, "Oh! Um, well..." She then heard honking from the limo outside and picked up her brother's backpack for him. The sister started to push the younger boy towards the door with a smile on her face, "Oh look, your driver is here! Don't you worry about a thing, Francis! I'm sure we're really close to someone being redeemed! Just let me handle it." Her little brother tried to speak as he was pushed out of the door but could not get a word out before Charlie closed the door. She then looked back into the lobby with a worried look on her face.
The next morning at the hotel, Vaggie wakes up in her bed while in her white nightgown. She starts yawning and rubbing her eye. She turns to her left side but doesn't see her girlfriend beside her. She frowns as she looks around the room, "Charlie?"
Charlie is panicking and planning out everything with lots of paper with strings attached with everyone else watching her in the lobby. She starts ranting, "I'm just not quite understanding why it's not working. Okay, okay, think Charlie. Think, think, think, think, think, think, think, think. Okay if I do this, it's going to be-" She gasps, "I have trust falls every single morning. We can do-" She gasps yet again.
Angel Dust tilts his head at her as he watches from the couch, "Yikes."
The princess mumbles to herself, "Come on, come on, come on, come on..."
Vaggie walks next to the couch, now in her regular red bow, red collared shirt, black skirt, black gloves and black shoes, "Charlie? Sweetie? You, uh, you good?"
The blonde looks back at her girlfriend with a noticeably sleep-deprived look in her eyes, "Nope! No, not really. Ha ha. I've been up all night trying to figure out why the hotel isn't working." She crushes a paper with hand, her voice straining, "We've done trust falls, we've tried sharing our feelings, we only have a couple months left before the angels come." Her horns briefly appear from her head and laughs maniacally before turning back to normal, "And at this rate-"
Her one-eyed girlfriend walks closer to her, "Maybe it's time-"
Charlie's head perks up, "NO."
Vaggie steps even closer, "To ask-"
The princess gets up close to Vaggie's face, holding her cheeks desperately, "DON'T SAY IT."
The white haired woman sighed, "...Your dad."
The blonde groans while Vaggie shakes her head. Her girlfriend puts a hand on her shoulder, "Charlie, I know you don't want to, but we need every advantage we can get."
Charlie slumps her shoulders, "He let the extermination happen to begin with! They just had a meeting and said, "Go ahead and kill everyone-" She gasps in realization, "Wait, that's it!"
The short woman tilts her head at her, "Kill everyone?"
The tall lady quickly shook her head, "No! He could get me a meeting with Heaven!"
Her girlfriend scratched the back of her head, "Didn't we already try that?"
The blonde woman sighs, "Well! Yeah with Adam, he was an asshole. But he isn't in charge of all of Heaven! We could go to the top! There's sure to be some angels who will listen!" She scrolls through her contacts in her cell phone. Her thumb lingers on top of the contact that reads: "Dad". She was hesitant to call him.
Husk tils his ears in curiosity, "What's the holdup? You got daddy issues?"
Charlie frowns at the bartender, "No, we just have never been close... After he and mom split, he never really wanted to see me. He calls, sometimes, but only if he's bored or like needs me to do something. He doesn't pay attention to Francis either. You've seen it, Francis has been here every week and he says Dad hasn't questioned him once."
The cat demon smirks at his mug before taking a sip, "...Daddy issues."
Angel Dust lays on top of the back of the couch, "Well, I'd like to meet the big dick in charge."
Niffty was sitting on the couch and holding a knife in her hands, "The ultimate bad boy!" She then begins to laugh, holding a knife while Angel takes her knife away without her knowing, "I bet he's scary!"
Meanwhile at Lucifer's palace, the king is surrounded by pictures of his family in his room, one of which featuring a young Charlie hugging a baby Francis on a bench while he and Lilith sit beside them. Lucifer can be heard making snarling noise as he was working on something. As the scene goes, his room is revealed to be filled with a lot of rubber ducks, and stacks of them filled the boxes and tubs.
Lucifer smiles to himself, "That's it... Almost there... Now presenting... The magic-tastical back flipping rubber duck! Haha!" He holds up a rubber duck in his hand, "That spits fire!" The rubber duck shoots flamethrower from its mouth, "Hoo hoo hoo!" He pretends to address an audience around him, "Hold the applause please, okay. Oh, thank you, thank you." He then suddenly frowns, "Oh god, who am I kidding? This sucks!"
He then throws the rubber duck at one of his family portraits and looks sad. Suddenly his ringtone plays, causing his eyes to dart to his pocket. He picks up his phone and his eyes widened upon seeing who was calling him, "Daughter? Daughter! Daughter calling?! OH! Uhm uh, uh hello, Charlie. He-ey, hey, hey Char-Char. No, no! That's not good. Oh, this is the first time she's called you in years. This has to be perfect." He takes a deep breath before he picks up phone, "Heeeeey, bitch!"
Charlie rubs the back of her neck as she calls him from the hotel, "Hi, Dad."
Lucifer smiles on his end, "Hey! How are you? Oh ho! Where... Where are you these days?"
The princess frowns, "You know where I am Dad. I've told you before."
The king blinks in thought, "You have? Oh, yeah!" He then coughs awkwardly, "Uh, well, you know, I um uh-"
Charlie interrupted him, "I told you when you called me five months ago, or did you not listen?"
The blonde man shakes his head, "No, no, no, no. Just, you know, just forgot. You know, I've just been really busy! You know, with, um, Francis! You know, have to watch that slugger like a hawk! And uh, other important things." He kicks a rubber duck near him to the wall.
The daughter still frowns, "Well, I'm actually running a hotel to rehabilitate sinners. Maybe you saw our commercial?"
Lucifer shrugged his shoulders as he puts himself a cup of tea, "Oh, sadly, I missed it. Heh heh! You know, I haven't been watching much TV lately. Scrambles the brain." He makes a spinning motion with his finger near his head, "Gave the ol' thing to Francis forever ago and then we bought him a new one! Maybe he saw it and forgot to tell me! But hey! A hotel, fun!"
Charlie sighs, "Listen Dad, I've got kind of a big ask..."
The king coughs and sets down his tea, "Yeah, of course! Anything in my power is yours for the asking. You just name it!"
The princess takes a deep breath before answering, "I need to speak to Heaven! Well, whoever's in charge up there, above Adam, above anybody. I need to go to the top!"
The blonde man shakes his head, "Oh, no! No! No, no, no, no, Charlie, no, no, no!" He waves his finger in front of a rubber duck as if the duck was his daughter, "That's, uh hah, no."
Charlie frowns once again and speaks in a frustrated tone, "Look Dad..." She then calms down, "I don't ask you for much, I never have, but this, this is really important to me." She looks back at Angel, "It's the most important thing I've ever done. And I... Need you. I need your help."
Lucifer looks at one of the family portraits hanging on the wall, "I don't know, Charlie..."
His daughter raises her voice, "Please! Just come see what I'm trying to do. You'll see why it's a really good idea. And Heaven is bound to agree if I get the chance to talk to them. Please, Dad!"
The king's eyes widened, "Wait, you're... Inviting me over?! Absolutely! Oh, I'll be there in an hour! And I'll bring your brother too!"
The princess raised her eyebrows at him and tried to respond, "Oh wait, Dad, you really don't need to bring Fran-"
But he hangs up and starts singing, "My daughter wants to see meeee!" He then points at the rubber duck below him, "Take that, depression!" He opens the door to the hallway, "Francis, my youngest! Get ready because we are going to see your sister! ...Francis! ...Francis Morningstar, do you hear me?" He frowns at the hallway with his hands on his hips.
Meanwhile, Francis is sitting on the soft crimson and black bed of his room with a red controller in his hand. He sticks out his tongue as he focuses on the characters fighting on his screen, "Alllllmost! Wow, you guys were right. Mort IS a beast at this game." He scratches his head as he gets the 'You Lose!' notification on his screen along with a skull and crossbones over his character. Mort smiles in victory from his video on the screen, holding up a peace sign. Him, CJ and Elissa are all in the corners of Francis's TV screen in a video call.
CJ the hound shakes his head, "See, I told you!"
The girl with shark-lie teeth rolls her eyes, "We should really just ban Mort from this game already." The boy with the straw hair frowns as he looks at the goat boy on his screen.
The prince laughs at his friends, "Pffft! Aw guys, we're not going to ban Mort from the game. Okay, so who's got next-" He suddenly feels himself falling when he looks down to see a portal underneath where he was sitting on his bed, "Wait, Dad! I haven't turned off the ga-" Unfortunately, he falls to the floor of the palace's hallway. Right on his face. He gets up, rubbing his head as he holds the controller in his other hand.
The king skipped around his son excitedly, "Francis, my boy! Guess what!"
The smaller boy looks the controller that was still in his hands, "Phew, no busted controller this time..." He looks up at his father, "Uh... What, Dad?"
Lucifer chuckled at him, shaking him by his shoulders, "We're going to see your sister! Won't this be so fun? We haven't seen her in a while!" He looks at his son with the widest smile on his face.
Francis's eyes whirl in all directions from the shaking before he blinks to focus back on his dad, "Oh?" His head then perked up upon realizing that his father doesn't know that he had been sneaking off to see Charlie for weeks at this point, "I mean! Oh yaaaay!" He raised his hands and even wagged his goat-like tail to feign excitement.
Lucifer picked his son up by under the shoulders, "Glad to see you so enthusiastic! Now!" He puts the young boy down, "Be ready within the hour! I can't wait to see your sister! Oh, maybe we'll bring Ophelia too!" He turned to the far end of the corridor, "Ophelia! Get your walking shoes on because we're going to see Charlie!"
The young prince shakes his head as his father leaves to find his assistant.
Meanwhile back at the hotel, Charlie and Vaggie prepare for Lucifer and Francis's arrival. They both stand in front of the board the princess was sticking papers to earlier while the other residents sit in front of them.
The blonde shakes her head, "Welp, we have an hour until he gets here... And now, Francis is coming too. So, uh, just be aware!"
Her short girlfriend speaks in a stern voice, "Okay people!" Everyone stands at attention, but Husk spills coffee over himself and Niffty collapses on the floor. She continues her announcement, "Lucifer is on his way with Francis in tow! So we are going to get this place presentable and we are going to make an amazing impression. Vamanos!"
Everyone scatters to get the place tidy and ready for Lucifer. Cricket sets out a large white banner on the floor for someone else to write on before moving to set up a table. Sir Pentious and Niffty bakes cookies, then the one eyed gremlin starts sweeping and Husk is cleaning up his bar area. Alastor walks in and watches Razzle and Dazzle put up a banner reading "Wellc- Daddy", obviously written by a certain pink demon. Angel puts on some makeup before closing the mirror, revealing to be Niffty staring creepily at him, making the spider demon recoil back in surprise.
Charlie sighs as she rubs her forehead, "Okay everyone, it's showtime!" She then opens the door, revealing Lucifer, who is excited to see his daughter. Francis walks into the hotel past his father, alongside a black haired woman with purple skin. She was wearing a white, long sleeved collared shirt with a black tie and a black skirt. As well as black shoes and white socks. She was holding a clipboard in her hands, already writing things down when she saw the sinners in front of her.
Lucifer practically bounces on his feet as he extends his arms, "Charlie!"
The princess smiled at him, "Hey, Da-" She doesn't get to finish as her dad hugs her extremely tight, a bone popping sound can be heard. Unbeknownst to the both of them, Alastor was right behind them, with his wicked smile strained and left eye twitching in anger when he saw the King of Hell.
Lucifer continues to hug his daughter, "Oh it's so good to see you! Haha!"
Charlie attempts to get a word out but her voice strains, "It's uh, good to see you too, Dad!"
The dad lets go of Charlie to give her a breather. He smiles at his daughter.
Charlie clears throat upon being let go, "Dad, little brother, Ophelia! Welcome to the Hazbin Hotel!"
Two Egg Boiz pops some party poppers as a warm welcome. Soon, a familiar small, dragon-like flying goat with dark red hair flies to the young prince. Francis smiles as he hugged him, "Dazzle! How have you been, buddy!" The creature chirps at him as they let go of the hug, his wings flapping excitedly.
The hotel's cat, KeeKee, curls up to Lucifer and rubs her face against his legs. Lucifer looks down at her and his eyes sparkle. He crouches down and starts petting her on the head, "Oh, hewwo KeeKee!" He picks his head up a the sound of wings flapping towards him.
Razzle and Dazzle flies to the king and he takes their hands in his own. He spins around and smiles at them, his voice light and endearing, "Razzle, Dazzle. Oh! Look how much you haven't grown! Still fun sized! You taking care of my wittle girl?" He then speaks in a very deep ominous threatening tone, "You better be." He snickers before looking around, "Wow! This place sure looks, uh... Uh huh yah uh huh...It's got a lot of character! Right Francis? Ophelia?"
The goat boy looks at his father when he heard his name. He looks at Charlie and shrugs his shoulders, "I, uh, yeah! I think it's got a bunch of character! Great looking character!" His eyes looked down at Ophelia's clipboard, "...Aw come on, Ophelia, write that down."
The black haired woman simply shook her head at him. Her bored looking expression hasn't changed since they have arrived. She writes more on her clipboard, "Great looking character is not the words I would use, young prince."
Lucifer spots the green bar at the corner and was immediately repulsed by it, "OH, what in the unholy hell is that?! Ophelia! Do not let Francis see that!" Upon hearing Lucifer, the black haired woman immediately covers his eyes with her clipboard. This made Francis groan in frustration as Charlie stood with their father.
Alastor reappears from a shadow on the floor, "Just some of the renovations we had done. Adds a bit of color, don't you think?"
The king looked at him suspiciously, and points his cane at him, "And you are?"
The radio demon reappears behind Lucifer, catching his attention, "Alastor. Pleasure to be meeting you, sir. Quite a pleasure. The deer demon starts shaking Lucifer's cane and wipes his hand on his shirt in somewhat hidden disgust, "It's nice to finally put a face to the name." He puts his fingers in a shrinking motion, "You are much shorter in real life."
The red haired demon makes a hand gesture indicating the height difference between the Morningstars. Even looking over to see that Francis's horns were at chest level with his father despite his age. Both men looked at Francis, who looked between them in confusion. Ophelia still kept her clipboard in front of the bar within his line of sight.
Lucifer looked back at the monocle wearing man with a raised eyebrow, "Who is this? Who is this nut? Are you the bellhop?"
Alastor lets out a small laugh, "Aha! No! I am the host of the hotel. You might have heard of me from my radio broadcast."
The blonde ponders for only a second, "Hmm, nope! I guess that's why Charlie called it the Has-been Hotel, ahaha!" He elbows his daughter, who looks away awkwardly.
The man with antlers looked down at his nails with a smile, "Ha ha ha! It was actually my idea."
Lucifer fakes a laugh as he steps closer to the other man, "Ahaha. Well, it's not very clever!"
Alastor makes a strained, fake laugh as he leans forward towards the short man, "Ha ha! F- you."
Charlie steps in between the two of them to prevent them from fighting. Francis rushes over to tug on his father's coat and shake his head. Both efforts made the pair look away from each other.
The princess put her hands up, "Okay! Okay, anyway! Dad, Francis, look at this lovely parlor where people can get to know each other and share secrets and stories and intimate feelings! Without Alastor, we wouldn't have been able to pretty it up this much!"
The deer demon keeps his large smile, "Charlie has a very unique vision. I am happy to fulfil her bizarre requests." He places hand on the mentioned girl's shoulder. Lucifer glares at him as he realizes Alastor is winning over Charlie more than he is, which makes him growl in frustration.
Francis looks at his father's growling face worriedly before tugging on his sleeve, "Aw come on, Dad..."
The blonde woman smiles at the tall demon, "Oh, thank you, Alastor."
The antlered demon nods his head, "Quite an impressive young lady." He speaks in an almost unnoticeable condescending tone, "We're all very proud of her."
Lucifer coughs to get their attention, "Ahem, Charlie! Dear, heheh, why don't you introduce me to your OTHER friends?" He placed his hands on his son's shoulders, "Wouldn't you like to meet your sister's friends, Francis? I think he wants to! Come on, let's go!" The goat boy raises an eyebrow at Charlie to see her reaction. Once he got a shrug from her, he simply nodded at his father and followed them.
The king walks right between them while dragging his son with them. He then points his apple-topped cane to the others at the table. Angel Dust tries to get a cookie from Sir Pentious, but the snake demon pulls them away from the spider.
Charlie smiles at her family before gently holding her girlfriend's hand. She pulls Vaggie closer to her to present her to her dad, "Oh, yes, of course. This is Vaggie, she's my girlfriend."
Lucifer's eyes widen, "Oh my golly! You like girls? So do I! We have so much in common!" He looks between his daughter, her girlfriend and his son before looking back at Vaggie, "You put her there, Maggie. Hey!" He pulls her into a tight hug, "Oh yeah. She's so pretty!"
Vaggie steps back with a smile after he let her go from the hug, "Lovely to meet you, uh, sir." She looks at Francis, who shakes his head nervously.
The goat boy then shakes her hand politely, "It is nice to meet you for the first time, woman who is dating my sister that I have never met before in my life!" He raises his eyebrows at her as he emphasized some of his words.
The white haired woman shook her head, "Uh, likewise. Little brother I have never seen before, ever."
The king pats his son on the head, "Aw, look at you being a little gentleman! Alrighty, who else do we need to meet?" Francis let out relieved sigh at the fact that his dad was oblivious to the fact that he has been visiting the hotel in secret the whole time.
Charlie smiles as she gestured to the next two demons, "And this is Sir Pentious and Angel Dust, our guests!"
Sir Pentious stands at attention, making a salute to him, "Your Majesty!" He then falls down onto the cookies right before Angel Dust takes two cookies for himself.
The spider demon waves at the man in white, "Heya short king!" He gave Francis a simple wave and offered him a cookie, who breathed a sigh of relief that the spider demon understood to keep his meetings at the hotel a secret. The prince happily took and ate the cookie.
Lucifer simply gives them both a nod, "Uh, hello there! Uh..." He did not have any topics to talk about with these two so he bumped his elbow into the prince's arm as he ate the cookie, "You know, my son here can breathe fire! Show 'em, Francis!"
Angel raises an eyebrow at the boy, "Really?" The snake demon tilted his head as he looked at the prince.
The goat boy finished his cookie before looking at his dad and then the two sinners, "Uh yeah I can do that. I've been able to do that since I was a baby." He took a deep breath to prepare the fire.
The princess then grabs her brother before turning him towards the cat demon in the lobby, "Woah! No no, Dad! Francis! No fire! We still need to do more introductions!" The boy nodded his head as he swallowed the building fire, slight smoke rising from his mouth.
The taller woman waves her hand in front of the cat demon as well as the small gremlin, "Husk is our bartender, and Niffty is our housekeeper."
Husk nods to the king, "Nice to meet you both." He winked at the prince, keeping his lips sealed.
Niffty scurries over and climbs up on Lucifer's coat, "Hello King Bad Boy! I clean!" She laughs before looking at Francis, "Oh hi Bad Boy Junior!"
The prince awkwardly waves to her, "Hiii Niffty!"
Charlie then looked towards the rabbit demon, "And this is Cricket! He's kinda new here but he helped up set up for your visit anyway!"
The black and white bunny was staring at the glass of water in his hands and didn't respond to the princess.
Francis narrowed his, now glowing, eyes at him and pretended to cough into his hand, "Ahem! It's very nice to meet you, Cricket!"
This made the tall demon's ears perk up upon hearing his name said by the new owner of his soul, "Huh? Oh uh, hi. Uh, king man. And uh, tinier king man." He shrugs as he still didn't know what to call him. Ophelia started to write on her clipboard again, the rabbit demon and the prince share a look to each other before looking at her.
Suddenly, a chandelier falls and produces a huge amount of dust which makes everyone cough. The princess pulls her little brother closer to herself to keep him away from the broken object. Lucifer and Alastor share a look with each other, the King of Hell narrows his eyes as he realizes the red demon made the chandelier fall on purpose.
The man with blonde hair starts to laugh to himself, "Alright then!"
With one swing of his own cane, the fallen chandelier disappears and he starts to sing a song upon facing Charlie. He smiles at her widely, "Looks like you could use some help!"
"From the big boss of Hell himself!"
"Check your daddy's glowing reviews on Yelp!"
Three puppets made to look like the king lean forward to read the reviews, "5 stars!" "Flawless!" "Greater than great!"
Lucifer continues his song, "With a punch of a pentagram!
"A wap! Bam! Boom! Alakazam!"
"Usually I charge a sacrificial lamb. But you get the family rate!"
Both father and daughter talk at the same time, "Thanks dad!"
Lucifer continues to sing with a smile, "Who needs a busboy now that you've got the chef?
Francis sits at a table with one of the copies of his father in the background of the song, "Wa-ah-oh!
The king smiles as he presents a cake to his daughter, "Michelin tasting menu free à la carte. I'll rig the game for you because I'm the ref! Champagne fountains, caviar mountains, that's just a staaaaart!"
Alastor then interrupts him, "Who's been here since day one? Who's been faithful as a nun? Makes you chuckle with an old-timey pun? Your executive producer!"
Charlie speaks normally as she points at him, "That's true!"
The radio demon keeps his smile as he sings, "I'm your guy! Your day to day. Your chum, your steadfast hotelier! Remember when I fixed that clog today?"
Niffty speaks normally and hugs the owner of her soul, "I was stuck, thank you sir!
The princess smiles at the red demon, "Oh you!"
Alastor begins to dance with Charlie, "I'm truly honored that we've built such a bond!"
Charlie smiles again at him, "Awwww!"
The red demon takes her hands in his "You're like the child that I wish that I had!" The radio demon glared at the dad with a smirk on his face.
Lucifer speaks normally, "Uh, what?"
Alastor then pats Charlie's hair as she laid in a bed under the covers, "I care for you just like a daughter I spawned."
The king glares at this, "Hold on now!"
The radio demon places his elbow on top of the king's hat, "It's a little funny!" He then takes Charlie's hand and walks away from the king before turning to glare at him over his shoulder, "You could almost call me... DAAAAAAAD!"
Angered, Lucifer has his son toss him a golden fiddle to play aggressively as he gets closer to Alastor. Suddenly, a piano drops out of the sky to land on the short king and Alastor plays piano aggressively. The golden fiddle landed in Francis's hands. Lucifer then plays the accordion horribly out of tune with the song, resulting in a temporary fade to black.
Alastor dances with a conductor's baton as Charlie has a stack of books thrown on top of her, "They say when you're looking for assistance!" His shadowy tendrils then lift the books up for the princess, "It's smart to pick the path with least resistance!"
Lucifer dances with his cane, "Others say that in your needy hour." He then starts to fly, presenting his red and white wings, "There's no substitute for pure angelic power!" He lands and walk closer to his daughter, "Who just happens to also be your blood!"
The radio demon pushes the king out of the way to sing to Charlie, "Sadly there are times a birth parent is a dud. They say the family you choose is better!" Drawn pictures of each of Charlie's friends appear behind him.
The short dad starts sing-talking as he blasts the red demon out of the way with champagne, "What a bunch of losers!"
Alastor then hits him out of the way with his hip, "Can you butt out of my song?"
Lucifer points in his face, "Your song?! I started it!"
Alastor leans over the king, "I'm singing it! I'll finish it!"
Lucifer glares at the other man as he steps closer to him, "Oh you tacky piece of-!"
The front door suddenly opens right before Lucifer and Alastor could get start fighting each other. A small, plump woman butts into the song and starts throwing confetti at everyone.
"It's me! Yes it's me!"
"I know you were all waiting for me!"
"I'm here! What a gas!"
"Took a while but I'm present at last!"
"It's me! It's me!"
"Mimzyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!"
As song ends, everyone in the hotel were perplexed of their new house guest. Francis looked at his sister before looking down at the woman, brushing the confetti out of his hair.
Lucifer raises an eyebrow at her, "Who?"
Mimzy stood and looked around the room, "Didn't you just hear me? Why is everybody gawking? Is it cause I'm adorable?"
Alastor was happy to see the small woman, extending his arms towards her, "Mimzy!"
The short woman smiles upon seeing the red demon, "Alastor! Sweetie, Doll-face, So good to see you! How've you been? Good? Good." She pulls him into a hug, which he actually recuperates. She looks up at him as she lets go, "Listen, I was in the neighborhood. I heard you were staying at this ritzy slob factory, and I figured I'd stop by, say hi! For old times sake."
The radio demon nodded his head at her, "Of course, sweetheart! Everyone is welcome here!"
Charlie smiles at the two, "Oh, how nice! So you two know each other?"
Mimzy smiles back the princess, "Oh yeah, we go way back, ran in the same circles when we were alive. You know, this one used to frequent the club where I used to perform. He's the only one I knew who could pound whiskey like a sailor then keep up with me on the dance floor!"
Alastor let out a chuckle, "Oh, quite a talent, this gal. Ho ho! You should have seen her in her hayday!""
The shorter woman playfully pushed the red demon, "Hey, watch it, tall, dark and creepy! I'm still in my prime!"
Francis and Charlie looked at each other with raised eyebrows at the thought of Alastor drinking and dancing before looking back at the new woman.
The plump dancer spots Lucifer in the open, and her eyebrows raise in surprise, "Oh, oh my stars!" She then gasps, "Is that Lucifer?" She then pushes Sir Pentious of her way, "Move it! Pleased to meet ya! Your highness." He turns to whisper to her old friend, "Alastor, you gotta warn a girl when she's in mixed company."
The king held a strained smile towards her, "Charmed, I'm sure. Uh, Francis, why don't you greet the lady?" His son nodded before being interrupted by the radio demon.
Alastor shrugs his shoulders, "As much as I'd love to catch up, Charlie and I have a tour to continue."
Lucifer hears this and takes his daughter by the arms to start dragging her, "I'm sure Charlie can handle showing us around!"
The radio demon appears in front of them, "Nonsense!" He grabs Charlie and drags her forward, "We started the hotel together, and we'll show it off together. Right, Charlie?" He turns to the smaller goat boy, "And the young prince should accompany us."
The princess stands in front of the group as Alastor stops grabbing her, "Oh, right. Well, come on!"
Vaggie joins the group as well as they start to walk into the hallway. The radio demon turns to Mimzy before leaving with his hands behind his back, "Why don't you let the others help you settle in, and I'll be back before you know it."
Meanwhile, Lucifer turns to his assistant, "Ophelia, why don't you relax here for a bit? I can tell you're a bit tired."
The black haired woman has kept her board expression the whole time she has been in the hotel, "Yes, sir." She says with a nod.
The shorter woman walks to the bar, "So, where can a girl get a drink around here?"
Husk groans in irritation as he cleans a glass. Mimzy takes a seat next to the housekeeper and notices him. Ophelia sits silently on the at the bar, putting her clipboard down on the table.
The plump woman smiles at the bartender, "My, my, is that Husker? Alastor still has you slinging hooch for him, I see." She chuckles, "Classic! How ya been, fur ball?"
The cat demon smiles before letting it falter, "Good! Until five minutes ago."
Mimzy keeps her smile towards him, "Oh, don't tell me you're not happy to see me! You might hurt my feelings!" She then giggles.
While Husk gets a drink for her, the short woman turns to Niffty who was looking for the bugs that were scattering on the floor, "Hey Niffty, whatcha been up to, girlie?"
The housekeeper smiles widely, "Fighting bugs."
The plump lady raises an eyebrow at her, "And uh, how's that going for ya?"
Niffty turns fully towards one of the bug she sees, "They're winning..." She then pulls out a large knife with a insane smile on her face, "...But not for long!"
The dancer kept a fake smile towards her, "Uh huh…" She then turns to Ophelia, "And what about you, doll? I see you've been writing things down on that clipboard of yours. Is that stuff for the king?"
The woman with the clipboard shrugged, "Of course, I am his assistant after all."
The plump woman waved her hand in front of herself, "Oh, so ya just follow him around and take his orders like a dog? Could never be me, darling. Sounds way too boring."
The black haired woman begins to write things down yet again before receiving a water from Husk. She took a sip to keep herself from grumbling about the other lady.
Mimzy then smiled more as a glass was given to her, "Thanks, pussy cat!" As the pair talked, the cat demon prepared a martini in a different glass.
Husk glares at her, "Oh, f- you."
As Husk leaves the bar, Angel, Sir Pentious, Cricket take up seats near to the dancer. Right after the bunny sat down, he attempted to grab a bottle from behind the bar, only for his hand to be smacked by Husk. The spider demon raised an eyebrow at her, "So uh, you and Alastor are like, what? Friends?"
Mimzy shrugged at him, "Well, that's your word, not mine, but I think it fits. Why so surprised?"
The pink demon shrugged back at her as he took a sip of his own drink, "Well, just didn't know he had any of those. He's been here a while and is still a big, creepy mystery. What's his deal?"
The smaller woman begins her tale by making a short flashback story of how Alastor came to be. A shadowy demon is seen holding a drink, which Alastor Takes out of his hand. In the next scene, Demons are seen dismissing him as another sinner, but then, in a dark alley, an unnamed Overlord is cornered by a sinister-looking Alastor, before it cuts to a female overlord, presumably Alastor's next victim. One by one, more overlord Demons disappeared, leaving only Alastor to reign supreme over all the others. Then, a radio tower sends neon green signal waves all over hell.
Mimzy's voice is heard over the flashback, "Well, you probably heard the stories. He appeared in Hell suddenly, making a splash quicker than anyone had ever seen. At first, people wanted to dismiss him. but soon, overlords started going missing, and not small ones neither. We're talking heavy. hitters. No one knew what happened to 'em, until these strange radio broadcasts started going out. All you could hear were screams. Every time an overlord went missing, there'd be a new voice screaming in the broadcast! That's when Alastor revealed himself as the radio demon, and anyone that would mess with him…" She then giggles, "Well, let's just say, his broadcasts never lacked new voices."
The flashback story ends and cuts to the present where Mimzy was concluding her tale of Alastor before smiling again about him, "That's the story most people know, but underneath it all… He's a total sweetie! Put on some jazz and pour a couple fingers of rye and he becomes a kitten!"
Angel, Sir Pentious and Cricket share a look with each other as they were all spooked by Alastor's dark history in hell while Mimzy doesn't seemed bothered by their disturbance. She missed Ophelia take a sip of her water, she was not impressed as her expression remained bored.
The plump woman waves her hand around, "Stop with the looks. He hasn't done any of that in a while." She then raises her glass, "Can I get another one of these?" She opens her eyes as she realizes that Husk is nowhere in the bar or in the lobby, "Oh what the f-!"
As she speaks, the bunny demon leans over to sneakily take a bottle from the bar, "So glad my soul's not owned by that guy." He smiles as he opens it and starts drinking.
Meanwhile in the creepy dark hallways, Charlie was showing her father about the interiors of the hotel as Francis walks with them.
The princess smiled, "So, once we have the proof that redemption is possible, this whole hotel will be full of demons wanting to check out into heaven! We just need a little time to prove it! ...The sharing circles haven't been working as fast as I hoped."
While Charlie was in the middle of explaining everything to her father, Husk calls his owner from down the hall, "Hey, boss. Can I have a word?"
Alastor stops walking and twists his head 180 degrees to have his face turn to him before his body rotates, "What is it?"
The cat demon was undeterred by his creepy behavior, "You and I both know Mimzy only shows up when she needs something. That bitch is trouble, and who knows what kind of demon she f-ed with to come running to you this time?"
The man in red shrugged his shoulders, "It's nothing I can't handle. Don't worry Husker. Who in their right mind would cross me?"
The black cat sighed, "I mean, you've been gone a while, and it's not like anybody knows why."
The antlered demon shakes his head, "They don't need to know, and don't you worry your fuzzy head about it." He then rubs Husk's ears, this actions angers him.
Husk growls at him, "You may own my soul, but I ain't your f-ing pet!"
Alastor chuckles with that smile of his, "But you are! Haha!" He then turns around to join with the tour.
The cat demon whispers as he glares at the owner of his soul, "Big talk for someone who's also on a leash."
The radio demon immediately halts after hearing this, his eyes turned into radio dials. The lights in the hallway flickered from his anger rising. Slowly, the red demon looks over his shoulder to Husk, "Aha, what did you say?"
Before Husk could even respond, a green collar forms around his neck and a matching chain pulls his neck before he's forced down. He looks up at the other man, "F-! Nothing! I, uhm…"
Alastor slowly approaches him twirling the green chain around his mic-stick. The more he steps closer, the more the lights flickers on and off from his anger, "If you ever say that again, I will tear your soul apart and broadcast your screams for every other disrespectful wretch who dares to question me!"
Husk shakes in fear and nodded, "Understood."
The lights turn back to normal and Alastor returns to his normal form, "Lovely!" He then chuckles, "Good talk, my good man! Always nice to catch up."
The man then leaves the shaking Husk on the floor. Husk was too scared to even move, and was left to continue shivering.
Back to the tour, Vaggie was taking her turn explaining more about the hotel's role to redeeming demons so they can go to Heaven. She smiled upon thinking of a certain pink demon as they stopped at a balcony, "And we've almost been able to find all of Angel Dust's stashes… Almost."
Charlie smiles at her father, "So, once that's out of the way, it should be much smoother sailing!"
Francis looks around, "Anyone else notice the lights flickering?"
Lucifer pats the prince on the head, "Oh son, I told you TV would screw with your brain!" He then turns to his daughter, "Well that certainly is, uhh… Is-is something."
The princess tilts her head at them, "So, what do you think?"
The king blinks at her, "About what?"
The taller woman frowned at him, "The hotel!"
The blonde man raised his eyebrows, "Oh! Yes! It does-It does look much better now, doesn't it?" He laughs, "You know, but I'm thinking this railing needs work, one good push and you'd just go right over the edge! Whoopie! Bye bye!" He then chuckles as Francis tugs on his coat to make sure he stayed on the balcony.
Charlie shook her head at him, "What? No, no, the plan, Dad! What do you think about using the hotel to help sinners?"
Lucifer grimaced and sighed, "Alright, I mean, look, I love that you want to see the best in people... But these sinners, you know, they're just the worst. I, I don't know how much you can realistically expect from them, and Heaven? *Adjusts his collar* Hohooo boy, Heaven, is not exactly as carefree as you might think. Yeah, they have rules, lots of rules, and they aren't very open minded as you'd hope."
As he talked, Francis looked down sadly at the thought of Cricket. He did bet his soul against a child and tried to win, after all. He perked up upon noticing Vaggie looking away sadly.
The princess continued to speak, "These are our people, Dad, I… I have to try!"
Lucifer shakes his head at her before grabbing his white hat in frustration, "Our 'people' Charlie, are awful! They got gifted free will and look what they did with it! Everything's terrible!" He wheezes, "I just don't want you to put yourself on the line for people like-"
The king was then interrupted when a loud thud shakes the whole hotel, rocking the four of them on the balcony. Francis grabs onto the railing as he looks down.
Vaggie walks closer to the prince, putting a hand on his shoulder to steady him, "Geez! What now?!"
The blonde man points towards the ground below them, "Well, like that."
There they all see dozens of loan shark demon mafia men on the ground holding a battering ram. The loan shark mafia were armed to the teeth with guns, melee weapons, and a battering ram as they try to hit the front door open.
The leader of the loan shark mafia looks up at the balcony., "Mimzy! We know you're in there you lousy bitch!"
Meanwhile inside the lobby, Mimzy realizes that the loan shark mafia found her and she dives down to the floor, "Oh shit."
A golden portal summoned by Lucifer opens up and all four of them return to the lobby as the loan shark mafia continues to ram the front door. Which continues to shake the hotel.
Francis stands in the middle of his sister and her girlfriend as they all look down at Mimzy. The boy crosses his arms as he looks at her with distain, "So... Are you going to explain?"
Vaggie glares at her, "Que Carajo?!"
Charlie looks around before focusing on the small figure in front of her, "What's going on?!"
The woman plays with her fingers, "I maaaaaay be in trouble with some loan sharks. I may or may not have borrowed 50 grand from-" She cowers as she hears a loud thus, "Eep!" She then cowers behind the bar counter next to Ophelia to hide before peeking up to Charlie and Vaggie.
A loan shark is heard from outside the hotel, "You better come out!"
Mimzy played with her fingers as the black haired woman "And I may have also stolen a car… and crashed it… into the loan shark's girlfriend, but that bitch had it coming!"
Ophelia rolled her eyes, "See, I may be boring but at least I don't cause something as disastrous as THIS." She gestured to the destruction around her.
Before Charlie and Vaggie could even respond, the windows and the walls were barraged with fireballs from the outside. The windows crashed and the floors are set ablaze with the fireballs.. Charlie and Vaggie screamed as more fireballs came raining on them. Angel Dust scoots back to his seat after a fireball nearly hits him.
Niffty frowns as she looks at the shattered glass, "My windows!"
Sir Pentious realizes what was happening while he still holds his baked cookies, "Ah! We're under siege!" He dodges a fireball, "Ah! Take cover!"
Everyone in the hotel scrambles in panic as more fireballs fall down on them. Charlie dodges one of the fireballs close to her. Niffty was nearly struck by one fireball before Angel picks her up, shocked.
Vaggie picks Francis up and tosses him towards the sofa before dodging some debris herself, "Look out!"
The boy flips the couch to provide cover for himself and others. He pokes his head out from the side and spots some debris about to fall on the soul he owns, "Cricket, watch out!" He summons the chain that binds them together in his hands, the collar appearing around the bunny's neck. The prince then yanks on the chain, which forces Cricket closer towards him as the debris falls to where he was standing.
The bunny demon sits up and looks at the boy as his chain disappears, "Oh... Uh, thank you, Francis."
The goat boy smiles at him as he goes back underneath the sofa to hide, "You're welcome, Cricket! Now, go! Get somewhere safe!" The black and white rabbit nods as he jumps underneath some nearby debris.
Ophelia sees this before ducking behind the bar counter. She quickly scribbles something down on her clipboard before using it to cover her head.
The spider demon at the bar holds Niffty above the flames, "What the f-?!"
Angel throws Niffty out of the way, and then she scurries around all over the lobby. All while Lucifer remains composed, oblivious to the dire situation. The lobby was on fire from the fireballs. Husk tries to put out the fire close to his bar, stomping on it in anger while Mimzy hides behind the counter. Ophelia does her best to hit the flames with her clipboard, knowing if the fire reaches the alcohol, they would have a bigger problem on their hands. The spider demon runs for cover underneath the overturned sofa with Francis, and Sir Pentious can be heard screaming as fireballs are chucked through the windows.
While everyone finds some cover, Lucifer gives Charlie a lecture, "You see? This is exactly what I'm talking about, Charlie. You build something nice, you invite people in and offer them everything and they just bring violence and chaos to your doorstep. It doesn't matter how well intentioned you are, they're always going to disappoint you. This is why Francis is only allowed to bring his friends from school over to our house."
Charlie's eye twitches in anger in response.
Meanwhile, Niffty was on the floor cleaning the shattered windows, unaware that falling debris above her.
Luckily, Sir Pentious grabs the smallest demon before the broken part of the hotel nearly crush her, "Niffty, dear! Come along!"
The goat boy runs out from under the sofa, "Quick! Sir Pentious! Toss her over here!" He raises his arms to wave at him as Angel grabbed a hold of his shirt.
The snake demon nods at him, "Good thinking, little prince!" He then throws Niffty to Francis, who catches her before being pulled back under the couch with her and Angel for safety. Right in time before a large piece of debris nearly crushes the two of them.
Angel shook his head as he pulls the housekeeper into his own grip, "Hey, that was dangerous! Just stay under cover, Francis. Let everyone else take care of it."
Francis pouts at this, "Aw but Angel, you saved me so it's okay!"
Before the pink spider could respond to him, Vaggie appears in the lobby with her spear pointed at the door, "All of you! Get a safe distance, I'll take care of this."
Francis poked his head out from under the couch, "Alright! Go Maggie go!"
Angel frowns at him as he holds Niffty, "...Do you pick and choose who you listen to?" The goat prince playfully sticks his tongue out at the spider in response.
The white haired woman smiled at his cheers before lifting her speat. But then Alastor appears out of the shadows and places a hand on Vaggie's weapon to lower it, "No, my dear, leave it to me. It's time I remind everyone why I am here." As he speaks, Alastor begins to shift into his more demonic form with his eyes turning to a radio dial.
The prince raised an eyebrow at the radio demon, "Uh... Go Alastor go?"
Mimzy pops up from the counter, "Oh, finally! Took you long enough!"
The antlered man goes into his bigger demonic form as a green aura lights up from the outside. The mafia men outside were just about to reload their catapult when they notices the eerie greenish glow before Alastor turns to his sinister demon form. His horns are way longer and so are his limps.
The red haired man kept his creepy smile towards the mafia men, "A reminder to all, not to mess with the radio demon!" He then cackles an evil laugh. He expands his tendrils made out of shadows outside where one smashes the catapult, the other swinging around and killing several of the mafia gangsters. The remaining gangsters panic at the sight of the radio demon's power.
Mimzy cheers from her spot behind the counter, "Yeah!"
Alastor's body grows even larger and his limbs become longer before exiting the front door with a sinister unmoving grin, "I will devour each and every one of you!" He then heads out to massacre the mafia for attacking the hotel. As he exits the front door, Mimzy, Charlie, Francis and Lucifer walk to the open door to watch the bloodbath. The princess was totally appalled that Alastor is eating some of the mafia members. Lucifer nodded once to make his point and starts to lecture Charlie while the radio demon still devours and kills the mafia outside. Body parts spread all over the front door, while the king was oblivious to the mess. Francis pokes one of the dismembered arms near him with his hooves, grimacing at the blood leaking from it.
Lucifer shakes his head as he pulls his son away from the arm, "Mhm, you see? What'd I tell you? Charlie, sinners are violent psychopaths, hellbent on causing as much pain and destruction as they can. Terrible influences. There's really no point in trying."
The prince frowns at his father before putting a hand on Charlie's arm to attempt to calm her down, "Dad... They're not all-"
The blonde woman shouts at her father, "Dad! Stop! He's defending this hotel!" She turns to see Alastor eating a mafia loan shark, "It may be a bit more sadistic than I'd hoped, but he's doing it for me! How come he can have faith in me but my own father can't?"
Francis raised his arms away from his sister, seeing that he could not calm the situation, "Uh oh."
Nearby, behind the turned table, Angel, Sir Pentious, Cricket, Ophelia and Husk saw the melodrama that was occurring between Lucifer and Charlie. The rabbit and the black haired woman looked at each other before watching the drama in front of them, Cricket paying more attention to younger brother's reaction. Sir Pentious simply watches the drama.
Angel Dust smiles as he gets out a bucket of popcorn, "Ooh, drama!" Husk grabs up a handful of popcorn from the bucket to eat.
Outside, Alastor was finished massacring the mafia as he shrinks back down to his usual self, "Oh, I missed getting to let off steam!"
Mimzy runs outside to check if the coast was clear before approaching to Alastor, "Oh, Alastor! What a fantastic show! Bravo! As always. Thanks for helping lil' old me out of a tougher spot, you're always such a pal!" Debris from a rail above falls close to Mimzy, making her back away in surprise, "Oops! Hehe… Sorry about the mess, but I'm sure the little bug can take care of it for you!"
The antlered demon sighs as he doesn't look at her, "I think you should go Mimzy, now."
The plump woman lets out a little laugh, "Oh pfft, Alastor, you're such a kidder you! Haha, you are so funny!"
But the man does not laugh with her as he turns to face her, "I mean it. You deliberately brought danger to this place just to have me clean up your mess. I can't have that here."
The dancer frowns, "But you love taking care of me! What, you don't actually give a shit about this tacky place, do ya? Come on, I know you." She begins to poke his chest with every word of her sentence, "You. Heartless. Son. Of. A. Bitch!"
Alastor casually moves her finger away. He moves around Mimzy before standing in front of her with his microphone stick placed in front of his body, "You are welcome if you actually want to give redemption a shot. But I think we both know that's not really your style, so you need to leave."
Mimzy frowns as she is offended, "Fine! Who needs you? Have fun with your little princess and your little hotel! See if I care!" She then turns around and flips Alastor off before walking away.
Husk chuckles at Mimzy as she walks away before turning back to the melodrama between Charlie and Lucifer, now with a bucket of popcorn of his own. Angel has his, but he also has a drink to go along with it. Cricket drinks as he perks his ear towards the young owner of his soul. Sir Pentious was holding a TV guide created by Vox as Ophelia writes down things on her clipboard. She was happy at the sight of Mimzy leaving.
Angel Dust smiles at the drama, "This is really getting good."
Lucifer sighs as he retreats to the lobby while Charlie follows behind him.
Francis frowns before taking a step towards the two. But before he could get closer to them, he feels a hand on his shoulders. He looks up to see Alastor, making his eyes widen.
"Now now, don't interrupt them. They need to talk to each other... In fact..." The red demon smiles down at the goat boy, "Let us have a conversation, young man." Radio static is heard when he said 'us'.
The goat boy briefly looks at Cricket and then at Husk worriedly before being pulled into a shadow by the radio demon. Alastor pops out of the other side of the shadow onto a balcony one of the other walls of the hotel. The prince popped out seconds later, taking a breath as he stumbled his landing. On the balcony was a table with a chess game on it with two chairs on either side.
Francis looks at the board after catching his breath, "...Hey, it looks like white's in trouble. That's three moves away from a checkmate."
The radio demon cleans his monocle before putting it back on his face, "That's quite the observation. I see you know how to play."
Francis nods his head, "Oh uh, yeah, I used to watch Mom play this game with Dad." He starts to chuckle, "He could never beat her."
Alastor's face was turned away from the boy but his eyes still widened at the mention of the boy's mother, "Aha, sounds like a treat... Oh, I know a thing or two about mothers, my dear boy. But how interesting... Care to play a game while we chat?" He didn't give the boy time to respond before resetting the pieces on the board, pristine and perfect, "I couldn't help but notice you pulled Niffty to safety when the hotel was being attacked. Tell me, why did you do that?" He moved his black pawn forward.
Seeing as he had no choice, Francis sat in the chair across the radio man. He moved a white pawn ahead by one space, "Hm? Well of course I did. Niffty may creep me out but I wouldn't want her to get hurt. I like Niffty."
The radio demon narrowed his eyes at him, "Hm, in the same way you like your new pet?"
The goat boy quickly shook his head, "No way, I don't think of Cricket like that! He's a person, not a pet. No matter how bad it was that he was that he wanted my soul under his control. Dad may not like sinners but Charlie says everyone deserves a second-"
The antlered demon looked at his nails, "Hmmm, I see you bring up your sister's advice quite a bit. She must be a great influence on you. But..." He moves his knight piece forward, "What would you do when her advice fails? When it doesn't work out the way you hope, hm?"
The boy with the red horns on his head looked away before looking back at him, "Well, Angel and Husk..."
He tilted his head at him, his own knight taking Francis's pawn, "Oh yes, I noticed that you seem to be getting particularly close to those two. Especially Husker, I wonder why that is." He shakes his head, waving his finger, "I mean, when it fails for the both of you. Let's say the only way to win a scenario is to take a life. I'm not sure your sister has the heart to do so, the poor dear."
The little brother answered almost immediately, "Then I will." He moved his own knight forward.
The red demon kept his smile as he relaxed his chin in his hand, "Are you sure you can handle such a thing, boy? It's not exactly easy." The shadow behind him formed a shadow of Alastor's previous victims in his hands, laughing as it did it.
Francis narrowed his eyes at him, "Of course I can. I would do anything to protect Charlie, she's my sister!"
Alastor tilted his head yet again at him, "Even if it's something that would surely strain your relationship with your dear sister?"
"I..." The prince looks down at the board, his side now having less pieces, "...I am pretty sure I would, even if Charlie gets mad at me." He brushed a hand through his hair to straighten it, the black pieces of his hair sticking out. He looked to the side as he lost himself in thought, continuing his game with Alastor.
Meanwhile back inside the wrecked hotel at the same time Francis starts his game with Alastor, Charlie sighs, "Dad, just… Help me."
Lucifer shakes his head at her, "I… I can't."
The princess glares at her father, "Why can't you?"
The king puts his hands on his daughter's shoulders, "Charlie! You don't understand. Heaven never listens! They didn't listen to me and they won't listen to you!"
The blonde woman shakes her head, "You don't know that!"
The man in the white hat shakes his head back at her, "I do!"
With tears filling his eyes, Lucifer begins to sing, "You, didn't know that when..."
"I tried this all before, my dreams were too hard to defend."
"And in the end..."
"I won't lose it all again. Now, you're a thing worth fighting for."
While he is singing, silhouettes of higher angels appear, surrounding Lucifer with spears. Next shot shows Charlie being surrounded by spears that slowly come towards her, with Lucifer noticing them in horror, and pulls his daughter away on the other side to defend her.
"More than anything, more than anything."
"I'll shelter and adore you more than anything."
Charlie speaks normally as she holds her father's hands, "Dad, I don't need you to protect me from this."
Lucifer frowns at her, "I just don't want you to be crushed by them like… Like I was."
His daughter shakes her head, "Dad…" She then starts singing to him, "When I was young, I didn't really know you at all."
In a flashback scene, a young Charlie saw her father by his workshop who looked all sad and mopey. He notices her and takes her into his lap to show her some magic. A golden swan followed by two ducks is what is shown to her. A silhouette of Lilith appears before taking Charlie away. The child looks at her father sadly while Lucifer gazes at her with the same sadness.
"I always felt so small."
"But I heard your stories and I was enthralled."
"The tales about your lofty dreams."
"I listened breathlessly."
"Imagining it could be me."
"So in the end, it's the view I had of you, that showed me dreams can be worth fighting for."
"More than anything, more than anything."
"I need to save my people more than anything."
Lucifer sings to his daughter, "I've been dying to find out who you are."
Charlie sings to her father, "I've been waiting, wanting the same thing."
The king smiles at her, "Looks like the apple doesn't fall far."
The princess smiles back at him, "Took you a while."
The father nods at her, "I've missed that smile."
Charlie and Lucifer both sing at the same time, "All that I'm hoping, now that my eyes are open, is that we can start again."
"Not be pulled apart again. Cause in the end, you are part of who I am."
Lucifer flies over a golden lake with his daughter in his arms, "I'll support your dream whatever lies in store."
Charlie puts her hand in the lake as they fly over it, "And who could ask for more?"
The king smiles once again at her, "More than anything,"
His daughter sings back at him, "More than anything,"
The father hovers in the air, "More than anything."
The princess still holds onto her dad, "More than anything."
Both sing at the same time, "I'm grateful you're my daughter." Charlie sings at the same time as him, "Father."
They close the song by singing at the same time again, "More than anything. More than anything..."
As their song ends, Lucifer and Charlie returns to the lobby through a golden portal. Sir Pentious was teary after seeing the sweet tendered moment between Lucifer and Charlie. Francis reemerges in the lobby from a shadow and is checked on by Husk, Angel, Cricket and Ophelia. The prince gives them all a thumbs up before looking at his father and sister, smiling at the sight of them being happy.
Sir Pentious smiles at the father-daughter pair with tears in his eyes, "Aww, that was ssssweet."
The king sighed at his daughter, "...Ok, I can get you the meeting but once you're in Heaven, I won't be able to go with you. Will you be ok?"
Charlie smiles at him, "I'll be fine, Dad."
Lucifer smiles back at his daughter, "That's my girl." He then sighs, "Good luck, kiddo." And with that, Lucifer turns into a violet-red mist before disappearing away from the lobby completely.
Francis's eyes widen in realization, "Uh... Did... Did Dad just forget to take us with him?"
Ophelia shook her head, "It seems so, young Francis. You know how he gets." She turns to the daughter, "Please enjoy your visit to Heaven, Princess Charlie. Your brother and I shall be off." She put a hand on the goat boy's shoulder to lead him out of the hotel.
The prince waved to his sister, "Bye, Charlie! Have fun in Heaven!"
The blonde woman waved to him, "Aw see you, Francis! Oh! I'll bring you back a souvenir!" Her little brother raised his arms in excitement as his father's assistant leads him out the door.
Vaggie puts her hand on her girlfriend's shoulder, "This next part is going to be scary. You ready?"
Charlie smiles at her, "I'm ready... " She then pulls the white haired woman into a hug, "...Cuz you'll be with me!"
The white haired woman looks reluctant as she opens her eye, "In spirit, right?"
The taller woman hugs her tighter, "In Heaven!"
Her girlfriend fakes some excitement, "Yaaaay…" She winced at the thought of going to Heaven, when her face practically says, 'Shit!'
Meanwhile back at home, Francis and Ophelia walk through the door to see the king walking in the hallway. Lucifer frowns, "Oh whoopsie! Did I forget the two of you?"
Both the black haired woman and the blonde boy share a look with each other before the prince answered, "Yeah! Geez, Dad, I know you wanted to get out of there fast but remember that I can't teleport like you can." He playfully pouts at his dad.
Lucifer had a wide grin on his face, "Oh well to make it up to you, Ophelia!" He points at the mentioned woman, "You get the day off tomorrow."
The black haired woman playfully waved her fingers in excitement and silence.
The king lets out a laugh towards his old friend, "Oh Ophelia, contain that excitement, girl! Save that energy for tomorrow!" Even though as he was talking, Ophelia kept that bored expression of hers.
Lucifer then ruffled his son's hair, "And Francis! I'm going to drive you to and from school every day!"
The boy widened his eyes at him, "Wait what. Really?" But he smiled as his father nodded, "Won't that be a fun surprise tomorrow." He held a smirk on his face at the thought of his friends' faces upon seeing his dad driving him to school.
The king twirled his cane in his hands, "Yes really, as long aaaaas you tell me how long you've been sneaking off to the hotel AND when you acquired a soul under your belt!"
The goat child frowned at him, "Aw what, how'd you figure that out?!"
The father tilted his head at him, "...You know Ophelia tells me everything, right?" He scratched the back of his head, "Ophelia said she's been noticing you getting home later than usual on Wednesdays."
As the prince narrowed his eyes at the black haired woman, Ophelia put her hand behind her back and closed her eyes as she walked away from the father and son. Her clipboard remained behind her back, showing all she had written that day. 'Unstable chandeliers', 'Maybe friendly people?', 'Dancer won't shut up.', 'Rabbit's soul belongs to the prince!' Along with a drawn picture of Lucifer and Charlie hugging.
The boy then sighed, "Aw man well, it's only been a few months! And everyone there is pretty nice to me, I swear! Husk and Angel are cool, they helped me put Brutus Mal in his place! As for the whole soul thing... So uh, I thought Charlie was going to lose her soul to Cricket, he's the rabbit guy. But she wasn't, I read the situation wrong. But I offered my soul thinking hers was in danger and then Cricket bet his. We played a game of Knucklebones and he lost." He then rubbed the back of his neck, "Plus, I don't know if I can break his contract. Believe me, I tried."
Lucifer put a finger on his chin, "Oooh... While I can't approve of you gambling, especially with your own soul... You did do the right thing in protecting your sister when you thought she was in danger. Hm..." He then picked up his son, "Well, as long as you're not torturing poor guy... I suppose you can have him as a friend."
Francis smiled at his father, "I would never, Dad!" His eyes widened as he realized something. He played with his fingers as he began to ask his father something, "Oh uh, and Dad..."
The king sighed as he put his son down, "...You can go with your sister to Heaven."
The prince's eyes sparkled, "I can? I really can?"
The blonde man laughed a little at the boy, "Yes, you can. I knew you were going to ask once I said yes to your sister. Ever since you were a baby, you always followed Charlie around like her little shadow. I found it adorable." He smiled as he cherished the thought. But then the King of Hell put his hands on his son's shoulders, "But you have to promise me you'll behave, okay? Don't do anything dangerous while you're up there. I don't want anything to happen to either of you."
The goat boy's tail wagged, "Yes sir! Don't worry, Dad! I promise, we will be on our best behavior! Oh and just one more thing and I'll let you go do your thing!" Francis rubbed the back of his neck as he dug into his backpack, "I know it's not as good as yours but uh, I hope you like it. I was working on it at the hotel last week. Cricket actually gave me some pointers though!" He presented his misshaped duck to his dad.
His father's eyes beamed at the small wooden duck. To the boy's surprise, Lucifer pulled him in for a hug, "Aw look at you, making ducks just like your old man! Thank you so much, Francis, I love it! It gets to go on the top shelf! Come on!"
The boy chuckled as his dad put his hand on his shoulder, leading him to his study where he placed the wooden duck up on a shelf just above his desk. The King of Hell kept a wide smile on his face, "Some practice and you'll be a master craftsman in no time!"
Francis jumped excitedly, his voice changing to mimic his father's, "That sounds amazing! I can't wait!"
Lucifer's eyes widened in excitement for his son, "Oh! You always have to tell me when you discover a new power, Francis!"
The prince rubbed the back of his neck as his voice turned back to normal, "Hehe, oh yeah! I discovered that after a day with Maggie when I visited the hotel a few weeks ago. I meant to tell you but I kinda forgot. You know, TV messing with my brain and all!" He playfully twirled his finger next to his horn, copying his dad's motion earlier which made the king laugh, "Oooh! You think I can get a cane like yours too?!"
The king jumped closer to his son, "You betcha! Isn't your birthday coming up soon? Come on, let's see if we can unlock anything else for you! Oh ho ho ho! I am so ecstatic right now!"
And then both guys ran out of the study in excitement, both preparing to see if the prince could discover anymore new powers for himself...
(A/N: To the guest reviewer, it's alright. Although did you miss the fact that Esper and Hershel have their own adventures in their fanfiction stories? It's a thing I do. It's like that here just with it more so at the front than at the end, literally the rest of the chapters are going to be the rest of the episodes. If that is what you mean? Also I kinda definitely can't have Francis be in the fourth episode. Uh, yes, Seviathan is rude. While we haven't seen Seviathan in the show properly, he is literally described as a "big jerk chad" in one of the streams so I based him off my personal experience with those types of guys. I can see how the portrayal can be too mean to someone but that is only info I have. Haha, I can't wait to get to the next chapter, Viola gets to appear.)
