It's been about 14 years since I've been adopted. Pichu and Murkrow have been by my side ever since. It was a wonderful time having them around the place. Anyway, on to other news of my life, I was currently in my room; playing on my flute. That was until I heard heavy footsteps approaching my door before it opened.
"Is there something that you need dad?" I asked him. "Yeah, I need you to pick up some stuff for me," he said. "Yeah, sure. I have to pick up my medicine anyway" I admitted. "Here, you'll need this," he said. He gave me a piece of paper that was in the form of a list. My minions were currently asleep on my dresser so they weren't a problem right now.
"Before I forget, you have your entrance exam coming up in a couple weeks. Have you been working on flute?" he asked. "Of course I have, I can show you if you want," I suggested. I got up and stretched; it felt like I haven't done it in forever. "Show me when you come back if I'm around" he said before leaving.
Now since I already took a shower this morning and was dressed, I was able to leave when I wanted. I noticed that Pichu was starting to wake up. "Hey, I'm going out. Do you want to tag along?" I asked. He rubbed his eyes when he sat up. "Yeah, where are we going?" Pichu asked.
"Just going to do a little stuff for the house," I told him. I let him run up my arm and sit on my shoulder; it would be faster for the both of us like this. I took my keys before leaving the room. When I did, dad was gone; like he said would be.
Going to the store was a quiet one for now. That was interrupted when a certain chick appeared in her arms. By the looks of it, he seemed to be excited about something. "What's the matter, buddy?" I asked him. He started chirping happily.
"Wanna give it to me later?" I asked him. He nodded, he got comfortable where he was. Then I felt an arm being placed around my shoulder. I was about to throw a fit till I saw that it was only Monoma. I didn't expect to see him ever again after elementary school. I hugged tightly with the arm I had available once I realized. "Why haven't you called or texted me all these years"
"How could I when both of our numbers changed?" he asked. "You know where I lived in the same spot right?"
"Excuse me but we have places to go," Pichu pointed out. He had jumped on Monoma before climbing and resting at the top of his head.
"Where are you even going anyway?" Monoma asked. "We were going to the store but it just looks like we're just standing here," Pichu answered.
"Guess, I'll be joining"
"You didn't have to help me, I could've managed by myself" I told him. Both of us had a couple bags each.
"Okay but did I care? No, not really," He said.
On the way back, I had a strange sensation that went through my body. I stopped and looked around at what could be causing it. "What's that matter?"
"Hey, watch these really quick," I placed the bags on the ground by him and went into the alleyway. "Do you really think going in there is a good idea?" Pichu asked. He had appeared by my feet.
"Would you just be quiet?"
There was a bit of rusling in by the trash cans. As I approached, two small marbles appeared from behind them. One was green while the other one was purple. They opened up and approached. "Do you think this is a good idea Musa?" Pichu asked. He attached himself to my leg. "Don't worry, I know what I'm doing here"
The marbles approached while the sensation in my body grew stronger. I held out my hand to which they landed. The sensation stopped and I felt a connection with both of them.
"Musa! Is everything okay over there!" I heard Monoma called out. "Everything's fine," I yelled back. I turned my attention back to my hand and saw that the marbles had gone. I looked around and then I realized that they were spirits, now my spirits. I had to go over my scroll later. I left the alleyway.
"Let's go, it's getting late"
Now a couple of weeks later after this, the exams felt like it came sooner than I expected it. The new spirits were named Spyron and Horridian.
Spyron is a humanoid bird-like creature resembling an Egyptian god. The head of Spyron is raven-like. He has 2 pairs of wings, which are differently sized. He has golden elements on different parts of his body and orange symbols, also on different parts of his body, resembling hieroglyphs.
Horridian is a humanoid Cerberus-like creature. He has black fur, mostly covered by purple-green armor with golden spikes. His tail also has spikes. Even his collar has spikes. His eyes are glowing red and his teeth are as sharp as razor blades. They were non verbale, so talking to them had to be with telepathy. I was only able to do this with the spirits that I had.
Always, I got dressed and packed anything I needed in my bag. "Are you two ready to go?" I asked them. "Yeah let's go," Pichu said before jumping on my shoulder. I picked up Murkrow and made my way through the house. I feed the two minions before heading out. U.A wasn't that far from where we lived, so it wasn't that long.
There were already students there waiting to go in. I could tell that people were staring at me, probably because of Pichu and Murkrow. Did I care about that? Honestly, I really didn't care what they thought right now. Now, what I didn't expect was that I tripped and fell. Murkrow flew from my arms while Pichu wasn't on my shoulder anymore. "Are you okay?" someone asked. I looked and saw this kid; he seemed to be around my age.
He was holding out his hand towards me. I took it; he helped me back to me. "Im fine now, thanks" I told him. I dusted off my clothes. He held his hand out towards me again, "I'm Josuke Higashikata"
The first time I took his land, it didn't cause my skin to break out. So I took his hand and smiled back at him. "I'm Musa Melody,"
His hand had just engulfed mine, it felt nice in a way.
"So you're here for the exams?" He brought my attention back to him. "Yeah, why wouldn't she be?" Pichu answered.
"Who are these two? Are they supposed to be helping you?" He questioned. "No, they're supposed to be somewhere that isn't here in a few minutes. I refer to them as my minions," I told him. I noticed that people were already going in. "We should start heading in," I suggested. "Yeah" he agreed.
