Tommy Oliver has just graduated with his PhD in Paleontology and has gotten an incredible offer working for his mentor, Anton Mercer. After disaster strikes, Tommy escapes the island with 3 Dino Gems and decides to use them to create a Ranger team to defeat Mesogog. He then takes a job as a science teacher, and meets 3 very unlikely students and runs into his old flame Kimberly.

8. Chapter 8

In the Dino Lab, Ethan quickly tried to calm down to their upset teacher, "Dr. O, before you go off, can we explain why we're here?"

Conner smacked Ethan's shoulder, "Dude, he's just going to laugh when we tell him." Ethan took another look at Tommy… somehow Ethan knew that they could trust their teacher, "It's the truth. He'll believe us."

Conner reluctantly agreed, "All right." He turned towards Tommy, "Kira's gone." Ethan explained, "She got taken by these weird-looking dinosaur things."

Tommy had a grave look on his face, which cause Conner to reply, "He doesn't look convinced."

Tommy turned around to collect his thoughts, and revealed to the kids, "They're called Tyrannodrones."

Ethan was surprised that reveal, "And you know that because?"

Tommy reluctantly said, "I helped create them." His mind was spinning… if the Tyannodrones were back, it most certainly meant that Mesogog was alive and well.

Ethan quipped, "Oh, class project?" Ethan couldn't believe their teacher had a hand in creating those ugly creatures but felt there was more to that.

Tommy turned around to face the boys, "It's a long story. For now, we got to figure out what they want with Kira."

Conner reluctantly reached into his pockets, "It might have something to do with these."

Tommy was shocked to see the Red Dino Gem in Conner's hands. He quickly realized the kids had been chosen by the Dino Gems.

In Mesogog's lair… Kira woke up and heard Mesogog's evil voice, "Give me the gems."

The poor girl sat up and began to look around the lair. Kira was freaked out as there was no one in the room with her, "Who's there? Come out so I can see you."

Mesogog repeated, "Give me the gems." Kira timidly answered, "Is this about jewelry? Look pal, clearly, you've got the wrong girl. I may wear a friendship bracelet once in a while, but-" and gasped when Mesogog finally came face to face with her. The evil villain was one terrifying sight for the poor girl.

Mesogog growled at the young girl, "I have waited far too long to allow an insignificant teenager to get in my way. Now… where are the Dino Gems?"

Kira bowed her head to avoid Mesogog's creepy eyes, "You mean those rock things we found in the cave?"

She tried to move away, but turned to find Mesogog staring down at her, "Yes." Kira answered, "I gave mine to Conner and Ethan. You'll have to ask them. Can I go? My mom's going to freak if I'm late for dinner… it's taco night."

Mesogog gave her a look and quickly disappeared, and Kira tried to calm herself down, "Okay, that's it… no more cafeteria food."

Kira turned and was face to face with a woman all clad in black… this was Elsa, Mesogog's general and right-hand woman. Elsa quipped to the frightened girl, "You'll be lucky if you ever see food again."

Back in the Dino Lab, Tommy was now holding the Dino Gems in his hands. Conner apologized, "We're really sorry. How were we supposed to know those things had, like superpowers, and those lizard dudes were going to come looking for them?"

Tommy sighed, remembering his own overwhelming feelings when he first became a ranger, "I guess it isn't exactly something you see every day."

Ethan agreed and retorted, "Sort of like a science teacher with the ruins of an ancient civilization under his house?"

Conner faced Tommy, "Like, not that this isn't all really cool… but seriously dude, you need to come clean."

Tommy gave Conner a stern look, "Okay, first of all, don't call me dude. Second, as hard as this may seem, you two need to forget all about this. I'll find Kira."

Tommy turned to walk away, and Conner used his super speed to stop his teacher in his tracks.

Tommy smirked at Conner's little display, "The gem's powers are already starting to bond with you."

Conner demanded, "You can tell us all about it now, or at my next parent-teacher conference." One way or another, Conner felt he and Ethan deserved answers about what was happening to them, and Dr. Oliver was the only one who could give them.

Meanwhile, Elsa was inching her way towards Kira. Kira stared at the villainess and asked, "You got a name? You kind of look familiar."

Elsa replied, "My master calls me Elsa." Kira quipped, "Your master? Okay, whatever. Look, I'm going to let myself out."

Elsa gripped Kira's shoulder to stop her, and Kira quickly went into defensive mode. The two began to fight.

Kira managed to block several of Elsa's moves, and was able to get a firm grip on the villainess' arm. She spun and managed to kick Elsa away from her.

Elsa spun in the air, but quickly landed back on her feet. She clutched at her arm… she was furious that a little girl got the best of her. Kira saw the look of fury in Elsa's eyes… she still couldn't believe what she did and quickly apologized, "Whoa… I so did not mean to do that."

Kira began to run towards the exit but was quickly blocked by a huge cyborg and several Tyrannodrones.

Elsa grinned at seeing her backup, "Meet Zeltrax." Kira managed to quip as Zeltrax lurched towards her, "You two dating or just friends?"

Elsa gave an incredulous look toward Kira, surprised at that little quip. Zeltrax growled and prepared to grab Kira, but Kira quickly let out a Ptera-Scream. The Ptera-Scream quickly drove away Zeltrax and his minions away, and Kira began to run from the scene.

Elsa couldn't believe the girl was escaping and ordered, "After her!" as Zeltrax and the Tyrannodrones got their bearings.

Kira ran down the hallways, with Zeltrax right behind her. Luckily an invisi-portal was opening, and Kira quickly reached through the portal to make her escape.

Tommy and the boys had piled into Tommy's jeep and were searching for Kira. Ethan was curious and asked, "When you said you helped create those tyranno-whatevers you were just kidding, right?"

Tommy explained, "They weren't supposed to be used like this. Someone has modified their programming. A year ago, I was doing research on combining dinosaur DNA with technology. My partner, a scientist named Anton Mercer-"

Ethan interrupted as he realized who Tommy was talking about, "The rich guy who disappeared last year."

Tommy nodded, "Yup. On the day Mercer disappeared, our lab was attacked. All of our research was destroyed… or at least I thought it was." Conner decided to ask, "And the guy who did this is back?"

Tommy had reached a stop sign and brought his jeep to a stop. Using the pause, Tommy continued, "He calls himself Mesogog."

Conner shook his head, but managed to say, "And you think he's after the gems?"

Tommy simply nodded at that… Ethan chimed in, "This is all totally fascinating, but how is it helping us find Kira?" He turned his head towards Conner, "I mean, she's not just going to fall out of the sky and land right in front of us."

Suddenly the invisi-portal opened, and Kira landed with a thud on top of the hood. The guys were surprised, but relieved to see Kira and quickly hopped out of the vehicle.

Ethan was amazed and asked, "How did you do that?" The boys helped Kira down, and she quipped, "I have no idea. One minute, I'm being chased by Franken-Lizard through this creepy lab and the next thing I know, I'm a hood ornament."

Tommy quickly realized how Kira escaped, "Invisi-Portals." Kira just groaned, "Whatever. Next time, I'm calling a cab. What are you guys doing here?"

Ethan gave Kira a look at that, "We came to rescue you." Kira rolled her eyes… the guys didn't do a thing; she had basically rescued herself, "Nice job. Way to show up when I don't need you anymore."

Another invisi-portal opened nearby, and it turned to be Zeltrax and his minions. Conner shook his head at Kira, "You sure about that?"

The kids quickly went into defensive stances, and Tommy did as well. Tommy quickly positioned himself in front of his students, as Zeltrax approached the group.

Tommy quipped at the cyborg, "Mesogog find a new goon to do his dirty work?"

Zeltrax growled at Tommy, "You are not fit to speak my master's name. Come with me peacefully or suffer the consequences."

Tommy rolled his eyes, "I'm going to have to say no." Zeltrax and his Tyrannodrones quickly began attacking at that.

Tommy managed to kick and spin several Tyrannodrones away from him and used his jeep to give him leverage. He was doing well, until he was knocked backwards into the jeep… the Tyrannodrones were still a challenge.

Tommy quipped as he tried to catch his breath, "Looks like Mesogog made a few improvements."

Zeltrax brought his sword downwards at the former ranger, but Tommy saw the attack just in time and used the door of the jeep to block the attack.

Zeltrax continued to attack, and Tommy leaped up and over the rollbar. Tommy ended up in the backseat and landed on his stomach. Tommy quickly gathered his wits and continued to defend himself against Zeltrax.

Kira was holding her own with the Tyrannodrones. She was kicking and spinning the Tyrannodrones away from her and using every ounce of her defensive skills. She quickly used the Ptera-Scream, effectively driving the creatures backwards. Kira was still amazed at her new power, "Okay, that's just crazy."

The Tyrannodrones were ganging up on Ethan, which was beginning to make him angry. Ethan spotted some wooden crates nearby and decided to use them to his advantage. He kicked a crate at a few nearby Tyrannodrones, managing to knock them back. Ethan managed to land a punch, but quickly had to duck and landed on his stomach. He rolled to dodge several attacks and used the momentum to get back up.

By the time he was on his feet, Ethan was furious… a Tyrannodrone tried to strike him, but Ethan quickly brought his arm to block the attack and activated his protective Tricera Skin. Ethan tapped into his powers, and quickly began to punch and drive the Tryanndodrones away… his fighting skills were improving more and more.

Conner managed to duck and weave several attacks. The soccer star had to roll, but he managed to do an impressive backflip. He did get struck on the stomach, but he managed several blocks and kicked the creatures away.

Conner grinned as he decided to tap into his powers, "Now you see me…" Just as the Tyrannodrones launched another attack, Conner used his speed and smirked as the creatures landed on their faces. Conner flipped and plowed a Tryannodrone into the ground… as he got up, he had a wide smile as he quipped, "Now you're unconscious."

Tommy was still battling Zeltrax… the cyborg was a formidable opponent, giving Tommy a run for his money. Zeltrax spun and landed a kick to Tommy's stomach, knocking the former ranger to the ground.

He growled, "You're no match for me!" and launched another attack. Tommy quickly got up, and he landed several kicks and spins, driving Zeltrax backwards towards the jeep.

Tommy managed to regroup with the kids and quipped towards Zeltrax, "Make sure you tell your master Dr. Oliver's back."

Zeltrax replied, "I will inform him this battle is over, but the war has only just begun!"

The kids were shocked as an invisi-portal opened, taking Zeltrax and his minions away from the scene. Ethan couldn't believe Zeltrax retreated, "That's the best he could do?!"

Tommy quickly began to return to his jeep, "Let's get out of here… it's getting late. I don't want your parents to worry."

Conner quipped, "I bet you don't. You might have to explain something." The kids still wanted answers and gave their teacher a look that they expected them.

Tommy replied, "I'll fill you in tomorrow after school, I promise." The kids shrugged and began walking towards the jeep… it had been one crazy day, but they decided to trust that their teacher would keep his promise.

Back at Mesogog's lair, Zeltrax had just given his master Tommy's message. Mesogog growled, "Dr. Thomas Oliver… I should have known. Zeltrax, is our aerial attack craft in position?"

Zeltrax nodded, "It is." Mesogog was pleased at that news, "Good. When the Biozords have completed the first strike, launch your aerial assault. The citizens of Reefside will think that idiot Lothor has returned to town. They won't know what's hit them until it's too late."

The next morning Conner, Ethan, and Kira headed to Dr. Oliver's first period class. Cassidy quickly looped her arm through Kira's and began to use her reporter voice, "Cassidy Cornell, Reefside News Network."

Kira quipped as she tried to make her way to her seat, "Cassidy, I know who you are. We're in homeroom together."

Cassidy just blew off Kira's comment, "Yeah, anyway, what can you tell me about the mysterious goings-on at Reefside? For example, the sudden friendship between you, Conner McKnight, and Ethan James."

Kira tried to talk, but Cassidy continued her questioning, "Or better yet, the strange creatures that appeared out of nowhere, and they just attacked you in broad daylight. What about that, huh?"

Kira quickly denied, "Look, I have no idea what you're talking about. But as you can see, I'm just fine." She then thought of a perfect way to shut up Cassidy, "But you- you look kind of, oh, uh, pasty."

Cassidy freaked out, "Pasty? Are you serious? I hate fluorescent lighting." Cassidy quickly grabbed her mirror, and Kira used the opportunity to escape the inquisitive reporter.

Tommy had already entered the class and was ready to start the day. He noticed that Cassidy was still standing and checking her appearance, "Cassidy, unless you plan on giving a lecture on the Mesozoic Period, I suggest you take your seat."

The blonde was immediately embarrassed, and quickly sat down. Tommy nodded in appreciation, "Thank you." He then turned towards the class and asked, "Now, who can tell me when it all began?"

Suddenly a loud rumbling shook the classroom. The students gasped in surprise and grasped onto nearby things. Suddenly the sky went black… the lights came back on, and the kids went to look out the window as thunder and lightning struck the sky.

Zeltrax was inside his craft and was hidden among the dark clouds. He laughed, "The Biozords are running free, Master." Sure enough, the Biozords were causing havoc in downtown Reefside.

Devon ran into the classroom and quickly made a beeline for Cassidy, "Yes! You are not going to believe this."

Cassidy retorted, "Let me guess- the sky just went black in the middle of the day?" Devon gave Cassidy a look, "It did? Whoa, look at that!" as he turned his attention to the window.

Cassidy waved her hand to regain Devon's attention, "Devon, hello! What?" Devon regained his thoughts, "Oh, yeah, right. Look, I just heard this whack report about mechanical dinosaurs attacking downtown."

Tommy overhead Devon's words and immediately knew what was happening. Cassidy was excited at that news, "Ooh, grab your camera." Devon nodded, "I've got it."

The two friends began to head out the classroom. Tommy quickly yelled, "Wait, hold it, you two!" to stop them.

Suddenly Randall's voice came over the school intercom system, "Students, remain calm. The mayor has declared a state of emergency. Please report to the front of the school for immediate dismissal."

Cassidy and Devon were the first to hightail it out of the classroom, eager to get their scoop. The other students quickly followed… the only ones left were Conner, Ethan, and Kira.

Tommy quickly headed towards the kids. Kira quickly eyed her teacher, "Dr. O, now would be a good time have that little chat."

Tommy replied, "We're out of time. If Mesogog revived the Biozords, we got to act fast. Come with me."

Ethan gave a look towards Conner, "What's the worst that could happen?" Conner and Kira shrugged, and the trio headed out the door to follow their teacher.

Kimberly was helping with the evacuation of the school when she noticed Tommy exiting his classroom… with the three students that they had in detention the day before closely following him.

Kimberly quickly saw the urgent look on Tommy's face… she walked up and asked, "Tommy, is everything okay?"

Conner quirked an eyebrow at Tommy, "Wait… why did Coach Hart just call you Tommy? You two know each other?" Ethan grinned, "I thought you two were familiar with each other during detention."

Kira smacked the boys, "Guys… we need to leave. We don't have time to be teasing our teachers."

Kimberly blushed as she answered, "Let's just say Dr. Oliver and I have a history." Tommy managed a small grin, "That's an understatement… let's just say Kimberly and I are old friends. You guys better get going… I'll meet you in the parking lot."

The kids nodded in agreement and headed for the school exit. As Tommy turned to leave, Kimberly grabbed his arm, "Tommy… you've got that ranger look in your eyes. Please tell me you're not about to do something stupid."

Tommy wished he could tell Kimberly the truth, but time was of the essence and he needed to get the kids back to the Dino Lab. "Kimberly, I'm sorry… I wish I time to explain everything, but I got to go."

Kimberly gave Tommy a look and looked hm straight in the eyes, "Tommy, I know I didn't handle things between us too well, but you can trust me. I can help you."

Tommy gently grasped Kimberly's hand, "I wish you could. But I don't want to involve you in this right now… I better go."

Tommy saw the disappointment in Kimberly's face and felt like a heel as he walked away. Kimberly was crushed as her former love left her behind… she wished Tommy would just trust her. After everything they've been through, Kimberly knew she could help him… if only he wasn't so damn stubborn.

Kimberly now had a sneaking suspicion that Tommy knew what was going on in town… she just hoped it wasn't ranger related. It would be just like the old days… Tommy getting himself into trouble and having to find a way out it. She just hoped he hadn't dragged their innocent students into his troubles.

The kids followed Tommy back to the Dino Lab. Kira asked, "So, these mechanical dinosaurs- they're your friends?"

Tommy explained, "Biozords- fusion-powered replicants using actual dinosaur DNA for their neurofunctions."

Ethan quipped, "Wait… let me guess. You helped build them." Tommy nodded as he turned to face the kids, "I'm afraid so. But right now, we- I mean, you have to tame them."

Ethan replied, "I'll B.B.L if it's all the same to you." Conner and Kira just gave Ethan a look, while Tommy asked, "What's that mean?" Tommy felt so out of place with the current teenage slang.

Ethan answered, "Be Back Later." Ethan began to head for the exit… this was just too much for him.

Tommy pleaded, "Ethan, wait. You can do this. But you won't have to do it alone. Ever since I had the Dino Gems in my possession, I've had these waiting, in case I ever needed to harness their powers."

Kira asked, "Into what?" as Tommy opened a silver briefcase. Inside the briefcase were three unique morphers.

Tommy continued, "Dino Morphers… use these to become Power Rangers." The trio looked at their teacher in shock… Conner's jaw actually dropped.

Ethan exclaimed, "I got to sit down." He was shocked that he was being asked to become a Power Ranger.

Conner did his best to calm down Ethan, "Breathe, dude." Kira was in denial, "We can't be Power Rangers. Aren't you supposed to fly or have superhuman strength and stuff like that?"

Tommy quirked an eyebrow, "You do." Kira felt like face-palming herself for acting so dumb, "Oh, yeah… I forgot."

Tommy decided he needed to share more information with the kids and give them some encouragement for the journey they were about to embark on, "Your gems are from the asteroid that crashed into Earth millions of years ago, wiping out the entire dinosaur population. When I first encountered them, I quickly recognized their power. I hid them so they wouldn't fall into the wrong hands."

Conner shrugged as he pointed at himself and the others, "How do you know these are the right hands?" He couldn't believe that Dr. Oliver had that much faith in them.

Tommy revealed, "The gems are yours. You didn't choose them… they chose you." He began to make his way towards the monitors, so he could see what was going on.

The kids turned to keep Tommy in their line of sight. Kira asked, "Can't they unchoose us?" Tommy answered, "They already bonded with your DNA… that's what's giving you your powers."

That peaked Ethan's curiosity, "So, if they already bonded with us, how come Mesogog and his creeps are still after them?"

Tommy knew he had to be honest so the kids would know the gravity of their situation, "The only way these powers can be taken away is if you're destroyed."

The kids were shocked at that little detail… Ethan quipped, "Okay, for future reference, that's not a great selling point."

Conner agreed with Ethan and replied, "Look, all I know is, I don't remember asking to be a superhero."

Tommy could relate… after all, he didn't ask for Rita to kidnap him and transform him into the Green Ranger. But he could see a lot of potential in his three students… he had faith they could be great Power Rangers. "The gems wouldn't have bonded to you if you didn't already have something inside you that could handle the power."

Tommy went back to the Dino Morphers and pleaded, "Please." And he pushed the briefcase towards the kids.

The trio reached in and grabbed their prospective morpher. They quickly began to study the morpher in their hands… Ethan was curious on how they would use them, "So, now what? Do we need some kind of secret password or command?"

Tommy replied, "All you have to do is say, Dino Thunder, Power Up, and you'll be transformed. You'll know what to do."

Conner quipped. "Dino Thunder… what, did you come up with that?" Ethan gave Conner a look, "I kind of like it." Conner shot back, "You would" causing Ethan to roll his eyes.

Tommy saw the tension, and it brought back memories of his ranger days, "Look, I know you three are from different worlds. I get it- but you're going to have to work together, or this will never happen. This won't be easy… nobody knows that better than I do. But you're going to have to believe in yourselves, because I believe in you."

Conner gave a hopeful look, "Really?" Tommy gave a reassuring nod, "Really." With those words of encouragement, the kids followed their new mentor and headed downtown to tame the Biozords.

The group arrived to find downtown in absolute chaos… the Biozords were still on the rampage. Tommy told his new rangers, "Okay, guys… this is it."

The kids quickly climbed out of the jeep and looked up at the skyline. Conner exclaimed, "That must be them!" Kira sarcastically retorted, "Wow, good call Conner!"

Suddenly an invisi-portal opened, and Zeltrax appeared in front of the group. He growled, "You'll have to get past me before you get those zords."

Conner quipped at the cyborg, "That's the part I'm looking forward to." Ethan looked at his new friends, "You guys ready?" Kira smiled as she nodded, "Oh, yeah!"

Conner went into leadership mode, "Ready?" and crossed his arm in front of him to reveal his morpher. Ethan and Kira shouted, "Ready!" and repeated Conner's moves, revealing their morphers as well.

The group moved together and touched their morphers hollering, "Dino Thunder, Power Up!"

Conner transformed into the Red Dino Thunder Ranger… his suit was red with white spikes, with the gold Dino Thunder logo on the center of his chest. His helmet was unique… establishing him as the leader of the Dino Thunder Rangers and master of the Tyranno Zord.

Ethan transformed into the Blue Dino Thunder Ranger… his suit was similar to Conner's, except it was blue. His helmet was different as well… his helmet established him as the master of the Tricera Zord.

Kira transformed into the Yellow Dino Thunder Ranger… her suit was similar, but more feminine than the boys. It was yellow and had a skirt attached to it… while Kira wasn't a girly girl, she never felt more feminine or powerful. Her helmet established her as the mistress of the Ptera Zord.

Once transformed, the new Power Rangers proudly stood… ready to defend their city. The new rangers eyed their new suits, amazed at their transformation. "Whoa!" "This totally rocks!"

Zeltrax eyed the new rangers and balled his hand into a fist, "So, you're Power Rangers."

The rangers got into defensive stances and prepared to fight. Tommy called to them, "Call your weapons. They're in your belt."

Conner nodded, "You got it Dr. O!" His belt glowed, and so did the other rangers' belts. The glowing light moved from the rangers' belts and hovered above, bringing the weapons to them.

The rangers were amazed at the action, "Whoa!" "Check it out!" "Amazing" and quickly grabbed their new weapons.

Conner exclaimed, "Nice! I got a Tyranno Staff!" Kira quipped, "I can come to grips with this- Ptera Grips!" Ethan was stocked, "Sweet… a Tricera Shield!"

Now that they got their weapons, the rangers were ready for battle. Zeltrax was furious, "Enough!" and opened an invisi-portal to bring in a batch of Tyrannodrones.

The rangers quickly went into battle, putting their new weapons to the test. Kira was definitely using her new Ptera Grips, and her new powers only augmented her fighting skills. She quipped, "Is that all you got?!" as she spun and kicked through the air.

Ethan was surrounded by Tyrannodones and had to use his new shield to block. He quickly spun his shield around him and drove the creatures away. Ethan quickly used his shield to his advantage, and was now fighting like a pro.

Conner quipped as he spun his Tyranno Staff, "Have a nice trip… see you next fall!" He quickly used his staff as he spun through the air and knocked several Tyrannodrones backwards.

Ethan hollered, "Freeze" as he turned his attention to Zeltrax. Zeltrax screamed, "You first!" and shot out blue energy from his hands that quickly wrapped Ethan.

The energy lasso shocked Ethan, and Zeltrax spun Ethan around in the air like a rag doll. Ethan was knocked backwards into a nearby building.

Kira shouted, "Ethan!" as she and Conner quickly rushed over to help. Ethan quickly got up, and the rangers quickly got into defensive mode.

Zeltrax shot energy beams from his eyes, knocking the new rangers to the ground. The rangers struggled to get up… Tommy hated seeing his students like this and quickly shouted, "Rangers! Combine your weapons."

Conner quickly got up and acknowledged Tommy's advice, "Right!" The rangers regrouped and began to combine their weapons.

The rangers' weapons combined into one powerful blaster… the rangers shouted, "Z-Rex Blaster! Ready… Fire!" and aimed their blaster straight at Zeltrax.

The blaster landed a direct hit on Zeltrax and caused the villain to fly backwards. Zeltrax landed on the ground in a heap… the rangers cheered, "Yeah! We did it!" and Tommy looked at the new Power Rangers with pride.

Zeltrax clutched his chest in pain, but growled, "You showed me your weapons… now meet mine!" The cyborg quickly went through an invisi-portal to return to his ship.

The Biozords were still going wild… the rangers quickly regrouped with Tommy and were shocked to see Zeltrax's attack craft hovering above them.

Zeltrax was now at the controls, "Fire!" and quickly fired one powerful energy beam. Tommy and the rangers groaned as the beam exploded around them, causing Zeltrax to laugh manically.

The rangers and Tommy ducked for cover… Conner asked, "Okay, how do we fight that?"

Tommy quickly answered, "You got to tame the zords. Concentrate… your morphers will communicate your thoughts to them."

Conner led the charge to the zords, "Let's go!" with Ethan and Kira quickly following him.

As the rangers approached the zords Conner looked upwards, "Look at that! They're huge! Whoa!"

The Tricera Zord growled at the rangers… Ethan put up his hands to calm down his zord, "Calm down, boy! It's all good." Kira cautioned the blue ranger, "Careful!"

Tricera Zord appeared to listen, so Ethan brought his morpher up to his face to better communicate with the zord. "That's right… I'm your friend." He brought his morpher to the sky to finally get control, "Tricera Zord!"

Ethan's morpher blinked, and suddenly Tricera Zord's eyes glowed yellow… the zord reared up but transformed to its blue color. Ethan was now in control of his zord.

Ethan cheered, "It worked!" with Conner and Kira thrilled that they finally had a zord on their side.

Kira touched her morpher, "Okay, my turn." She copied Ethan's move, "Ptera Zord! We can be friends, right?"

Ptera Zord's eyes blinked yellow as well and transformed to her yellow color. Kira was thrilled, "Oh, yeah! Awesome!"

Suddenly Tyranno Zord stomped in front of the group… Ethan yelled, "Conner, the Tyranno Zord's out of control!"

Tyranno Zord spun his tail and sent the other zords flying into the air. Kira shouted, "Do something!" as it was vital that the rangers get all three zords under their control.

Conner yelled at his zord, "Come on, I need you to work with me here!" The Tryanno Zord stomped towards the red ranger… Conner felt enough was enough. He quickly raised his arm like Ethan and Kira, "Tyranno Zord!"

Finally, Tyranno Zord's eyes changed color and turned red. Conner was relieved, "Go! Yes!" Now the Power Rangers truly had an advantage with their new zords.

Tommy quickly told the rangers, "Only one more thing to do… bring them together. You can do it."

The rangers nodded in agreement. Conner replied, "Okay… let's do it!" The rangers leaped into the air and went into their zords.

Inside the zords, a cockpit immediately formed, and the rangers touched the controls, "Logging in!"

The controls began to glow… Kira communicated to the guys, "Got it!" Conner nodded, "Me too!" and the three rangers commanded, "Combine powers!"

The three zords began to combine… Tyranno Zord became the body and its tail doubled as an arm and drill, Tricera Zord became the other arm, and Ptera Zord became the head. Together, they formed the Thundersaurus Megazord.

The rangers reunited in the megazord's cockpit and cheered, "It worked!" and quickly turned the Megazord towards Zeltrax's ship.

Zeltrax growled, "Your robot is no match for me!" He touched the controls, "Fire!" and fired several beams at the Megazord.

The beams caused the Megazord to go backwards and caused sparks in the cockpit. Conner growled towards Zeltrax, "Now I'm mad!"

Zeltrax sent down two strong tentacles that wrapped around the Megazord and sent a wave of energy, effectively shocking the Megazord.

The Megazord managed to stay upright and regain its bearings. Conner was ready to end the fight and declared, "It's time to head for the back of the net!"

With that, the Megazord used the tentacle that was wrapped around its arms and swung upwards into the air.

Zeltrax was shocked, and now that the Megazord was airborne Conner was able to get a better look at Zeltrax's craft. "There's the heart of the ship!"

The Megazord reared up… Conner hollered, "Dino drill, engage!" The Megazord thrusted forward and plowed the Dino Drill right into Zeltrax's ship.

Zeltrax quickly realized the Power Rangers landed a direct hit and disappeared from his cockpit. The cyborg escaped in the nick of time… the Aerial Assault Craft exploded!

The Megazord safely landed on the ground, and the Power Rangers cheered! The Power Rangers had won their first victory, but their work was only beginning.

After the battle, Mesogog was furious… he paced behind Elsa and Zeltrax. "So, Oliver has taught them to become rangers."

Zeltrax bowed his head in shame, "Our deepest apologies, sir. We should have seen this development."

Mesogog quipped at his second-in-command, "Yes, you should have." The evil villain activated his psionic powers from his eyes and used them on Zeltrax and Elsa as punishment for their failure.

Elsa and Zeltrax groaned in pain and were brought down to their knees… Mesogog growled to the two, "Let this be a lesson. I do not take defeat lightly" and let out a hiss to show his displeasure.

Meanwhile, Kimberly was watching the news report at home… she smiled as she saw the new Power Rangers in action. She was proud of the new rangers… she now had a suspicion she knew who the new Power Rangers really were, and the person behind their return. She wanted to help them and was going to get answers out of Tommy.

Back at the Dino Lab, the Dino Morphers were back in their briefcase and transformed into silver bracelets.

Tommy returned the bracelets to the rangers and instructed, "Keep these bracelets with you at all times. They'll access your morphers when you need them."

The rangers quickly grabbed their bracelets as Tommy continued, "And you can use these to communicate with me and with each other."

Kira was curious and asked, "Dr. O., I know you're real smart and a science teacher and everything, but this is- well, I mean, how did you-"

Tommy immediately guessed what Kira was thinking… he wasn't quite ready to talk about his own history as a Power Ranger just yet, "I'll fill you in in time."

Ethan replied, "Speaking of time, you think Mesogog's going to stick around for a while?"

Tommy spoke with the voice of experience, "Unfortunately, they always do."

Conner quirked an eyebrow, "They?" The red ranger had a feeling their mentor had quite a history and was left very curious about it.

Tommy replied, "I know this is a lot to take in." Ethan nodded in agreement, "That's for sure." Ethan was still processing that he was now a Power Ranger.

Tommy continued, "Your lives have just changed in ways you probably couldn't have imagined. But as long as you work together and remember you're a team… no one can defeat you. No one."

The new Power Rangers eyed one another… it was going to be hard work being a team, but they were determined to do the right thing. The three new Power Rangers were now embarking on the most thrilling, challenging adventure of their lives.
