Back in Black

After a few minutes, Hayley got a definitive lock on the portal. Conner nodded as he and other rangers turned to exit the lab, "We're on it."

As the rangers were preparing to leave, Hayley hollered after them, "Remember, you have to reach a speed of 536 miles per hour upon entry. Otherwise, you'll never make it past the security wall and probably be ripped to pieces."

The rangers stopped at that and turned around to give a Hayley a look. Even Kimberly gave Hayley a stern look. Hayley sheepishly replied, "Did I forget to mention that?"

Hayley turned to see the stares and gave an awkward smile, "I take that as a yes." The rangers continued to give the genius redhead looks and Hayley went back to the computers. She already had something up her sleeve, "Never fear… I have something for just such an occasion."

Hayley typed in a command and a door opened to reveal 3 powerful cycles, painted in the rangers' colors. The rangers immediately loved their new cycles, "Sweet!" "Amazing!"

Conner decided to be funny, "Which one's mine?" It was obvious the red cycle was the one that belonged to Conner.

Ethan gave Conner a look, "Huh?" Conner rolled his eyes at Ethan, "I'm kidding!" Ethan shot back, "Oh, you so weren't kidding!"

Kimberly gave the boys a stare to settle down, and Hayley went back to business, "These are your new Raptor Cycles. They should have you to the portal coordinates in approximately 92.75 seconds."

Kira asked, "And when we get there?" Hayley answered, "Use your gems to access the hyperdrive, then head straight through the portal to Mesogog's Island Fortress."

Conner's face went slightly pale at that reveal, "Wait, did you just say Island Fortress?"

Hayley nodded, "Yes… why?" Conner was slightly embarrassed, but managed to say, "Well, islands- they're surrounded by water."

Kimberly quipped, "Usually." Ethan came to a quick realization on why Conner was acting so nervous, "No… you can't swim?"

Conner gave Ethan a look as he tersely replied, "I didn't say that." Ethan gave a knowing look, "But it's true… you can't."

Hayley reassured the nervous red ranger, "The invisi-portal will take you directly to the island. You'll never have to get wet."

Ethan chuckled as he couldn't resist teasing Conner as he patted the red ranger's shoulder, "You can't swim."

Conner rolled his eyes and retorted, "Whatever, dude. You guys ready?" The other rangers nodded, and the trio turned in unison as they accessed their moprhers, "Ready!"

They moved together and hollered, "Dino Thunder, Power Up!" and morphed into their ranger suits.

Kimberly smiled, "Interesting morphing call… I'm surprised Tommy didn't use our original one. Love the suits though… they remind me a lot of my team."

The rangers quickly hopped on their cycles as the outer doors opened, "Let's do it!" "Yeah!" "Hit it!" The Raptor Cycles immediately picked up speed… they were even faster than the Raptor Riders. The rangers cheered as they left the Dino Lab and sped off towards the portal.

As the rangers sped away, Kimberly quietly said to herself, "Good luck rangers… be safe." Hayley heard the original pink ranger's plea, "They will… the kids are strong fighters. I know they'll succeed and bring Tommy back safely. How about we talk and get to know each other better? I'm sorry how I acted earlier… Tommy's my best friend, and I'm rather protective of him."

Kimberly smiled, "I'd like that, Hayley. I would like us to become friends… I hope you don't mind that I want to help you and Tommy with the kids."

Hayley grinned, "Hey, I have no problem with you wanting to help the rangers. Tommy needs the help, and who better than his former partner to help him train the kids. But you know how stubborn he is."

Kimberly chuckled, "Oh, I know… he hasn't changed much since our ranger days." Hayley decided to ask, "Kimberly, do you really have a lot of regrets of what happened between you and Tommy?"

Kimberly sighed as she replied, "I do… I hate that I hurt him so badly. I was a coward breaking up with him in a letter… I should have just talked to him. But I was young and stupid… I broke Tommy's heart for a guy that wasn't worth it. Breaking up with Tommy will always be one of my biggest mistakes."

Hayley patted Kimberly's hand, "I think you and Tommy really should talk. You two deserve the chance to fix your friendship. I know Tommy still cares about you, and now that I'm getting to know you, I can see you still care for him as well."

Kimberly simply nodded… indeed, she still cared about Tommy. Hayley just gave a knowing grin… she could see that Kimberly was still in love with Tommy. Now she just needed to get the stubborn former couple to talk and finally admit their true feelings.

In Mesogog's lair, the probe of the life force extractor was getting closer to Tommy's chest. Mesogog growled at Tommy, "This is your final chance, Dr. Oliver. Free the gem from its resting place or feel the wrath of my disappointment."

Tommy managed to quip, "Do I have to pick one?" He would never help his enemy, and he had faith that the rangers would find him.

Mesogog turned at the quip, "Your attempt at levity is as feeble as your attempt at self-sacrifice." He pushed the cart that had the crystal towards Tommy.

The cart stopped right at Tommy's foot… Tommy was able to get a closer lock, and he was more than positive that inside of the crystal was one of the missing Dino Gems. Mesogog growled, "If you won't do it for yourself, perhaps you will for your precious students."

Mesogog beckoned his henchwomen to him, "Elsa." Elsa immediately came to her master's side, "Yes, my lord." Mesogog moved closer to Elsa as he declared, "The three teenagers- bring them to me."

Elsa nodded, and began to leave to do her master's bidding. Suddenly alarms began to blare… Elsa looked up and saw the Power Rangers on the monitors, "Master, it's them! On some kind of vehicles."

Mesogog was pleased with this turn of events, "Like obedient dogs… I speak, and they come."

Tommy rolled his eyes, "I could save you some trouble… the good guys always win."

Mesogog moved closer towards Tommy, "I suppose that all depends on who you believe the good guys to be. Zeltrax, Elsa… go! And bring help… I want no mistakes this time."

Zeltrax nodded as he and Elsa began to leave so they could go after the rangers, "Yes, my lord." As the villains left, Tommy continued to fight against his restraints… he would fight to the last minute.

The rangers arrived in a remote beach area… their cycles suddenly came to a stop. Conner exclaimed, "Whoa, it just stopped! What's up with that?"

Kira hopped off her cycle, "This must be where Hayley programmed the coordinates." Suddenly they heard a flash, and the invisi-portal began to open. Kira pointed towards the portal, "Look! There's the invisi-portal. I sure hope Dr. O is on the other side."

Conner declared, "Only one way to find out. You guys ready?" Ethan and Kira nodded, "You know it!" "Ready!" They quickly returned to their cycles and prepared to head towards the portal.

Suddenly Zeltrax, Elsa, Pollinator, and a gang of Tyrannodrones appeared on the scene. They were determined to stop the rangers from rescuing their mentor.

Conner quipped towards the villains, "Hey, no one invited you to the party!"

Elsa retorted, "I'm crashing, and I brought a few friends. Is that rude?" Kira glared as she rolled her eyes, "Extremely!"

Zeltrax growled at the rangers, "You're not getting through that portal unless you're in chains."

Kira quipped, "I might be able to pull that look off, but these guys? No way!" Conner turned towards his team, "I vote we go for it!"

Kira and Ethan agreed, "Yeah!" and the rangers revved up their cycles. They weren't going to let Mesogog's cronies stop them. Elsa ordered her minions, "Attack!"

Conner pushed a button on his cycle, "Firing lasers!" and quickly fired several lasers at the villains. He quipped, "Coming through!" as he landed several hits on the Tyrannodrones.

Kira launched her cycle into the air and fired her own lasers, "Heads up!" She landed perfectly and managed to drive several Tryannodrones away.

Ethan hollered, "My turn!" as he sped forward and fired his lasers. He landed several hits and continued to cut a path towards the portal.

Zeltrax and Elsa joined the fight and began their attack on Conner. While still in his seat, Conner managed to lean and dodge several blows. He landed a kick on Elsa, knocking her backwards.

Elsa was pissed and lunged forward. Conner caught Elsa's attack in time and maneuvered his cycle out of Elsa's line of attack. Elsa had to roll just as the cycle passed right over her head.

Conner was amazed, "Wow, it worked!" He was not expecting his little maneuver to work so well. He quickly hopped off his cycle, just as Zeltrax began another attack.

Conner was holding his own against Zeltrax, and then Elsa joined the melee. Zeltrax and Elsa double-teamed, but Conner managed to land another kick on Elsa. Elsa spun, and kicked underneath Conner's feet. The momentum caused Conner to backflip into the air.

Conner managed to land upright onto the seat of his cycle, but let out a groan from the impact, "I meant to do that." He spun his cycle in circles to dodge Zeltrax and Elsa's continued attacks and managed to knock Elsa backwards into a pool of water.

Kira cheered, "All right!" and launched her cycle into the air. "This is going to be a blast!" Kira grabbed her blaster, and backflipped off her seat into the air. While backflipping, Kira landed several shots at the Tyrannodrones below her.

Pollinator was alone, and Ethan drove straight towards the monster. Pollinator fired a few blasts, causing Ethan to spin to avoid being hit. In mid spin, Ethan pulled out his blaster and fired several blasts at the monster. Ethan's shots landed square on Pollinator's chest and caused the monster to fly backwards.

Conner hollered, "Watch this!" and launched his cycle into the air just as Zeltrax shot an energy beam from his sword towards the red ranger. Conner managed to dodge every shot that Zeltrax sent.

Conner landed and spun his cycle back toward Zeltrax, "You missed me!" Zeltrax ran towards Conner, and Conner leaped off his cycle. Conner landed a hard kick on Zeltrax in mid-air, using his super speed and strength to knock the villain backwards. Zeltrax landed with a thud into the water.

Ethan cheered, "Yeah, come on!" Kira quipped, "Right with ya!" and they quickly regrouped with Conner.

Ethan looked up, "Guys, hurry! The portal's still open!" The portal was open but was beginning to close. Conner turned to his friends, "We can do it! Follow me!" Kira agreed, "Let's go!" and the rangers sped off towards the unguarded portal.

Elsa had finally regained her bearings and screamed, "No!" as she saw the rangers were getting closer to the portal. Elsa fired a blast from her sword at the rangers, but the rangers were able to dodge her attack.

Conner yelled, "Yeah! Punch it!" as he revved his cycle. Ethan and Kira revved their cycles as well, "Maximum Speed!" "Almost there!"

Conner hollered, "All right!" as he and his teammates entered the portal and were now on the way to Mesogog's island. Elsa hollered, "No!" just as the portal closed, with the rangers disappearing with it.

A few moments later, the rangers landed inside Mesogog's fortress. The rangers brought their cycles to a stop. Conner replied, "Whoa!" He looked around and relayed over his helmet, "Hayley, we're in!"

Hayley was seeing everything over her monitors and answered, "Good. I'll recalibrate the bikes for your exit. You have about five minutes." Kimberly replied, "Find Tommy, and get the heck out of there."

Alarms continued to blare as Mesogog quipped to Tommy, "It seems we have visitors."

Tommy retorted, "I'm going to take a guess that it's for you." Mesogog growled as he walked in front of his captive, "There's that wit again. If I had a sense of humor, I might actually enjoy it."

Mesogog turned to his Tyrannodrones, "I'll handle the intruders myself." The villain stalked away to find the rangers.

The rangers had demorphed and were searching for Tommy. Kira told the guys as they rounded a corner, "The lab should be around here, I think. At least we still have the element of-" and was quickly stopped as Mesogog appeared in front of them.

The rangers were startled as Mesogog quipped, "Welcome… we've been expecting you." Kira managed to finish her sentence, "Surprise."

Mesogog looked at the yellow ranger, "You remember me, I trust." Kira gave the villain a look, "Like I could forget that face?"

Ethan continued to stare, "Uh, what part's his face?" The rangers then noticed that the doors were beginning to close behind them.

Mesogog looked down at the rangers and spoke to them as if they were misbehaving children, "Obviously, you are in need of some discipline."

Mesosgog activated his psionic powers to use them to punish the rangers… but just as Mesogog was about to use his powers Zeltrax, Elsa, and their group returned and landed right in front of the rangers. They ended up getting the full brunt of their master's powers.

Kira used the distraction and hollered to the guys, "This way! Hurry!" The boys quickly followed Kira as they ran past the bad guys, "Right behind ya!"

Mesogog growled to his cronies as they regained their bearings, "Fools! Stop them! Now!" They quickly began to run after the rangers.

The rangers turned the corner and ran into the main lab. Tommy was relieved to see the kids, "Hey! Good timing!" Kira and Conner quickly rushed over to Tommy's side and began to loosen the restraints.

Tommy quickly told Ethan as he rose to his feet, "Hit the red button on the panel." Ethan did as he was told, and the doors quickly closed preventing Zeltrax and Elsa from entering.

Tommy quickly rushed over to Ethan and began to take over the controls, "I should've known you'd try to rescue me." Conner and Kira rushed over as well as Ethan quipped to their mentor, "Is that your way of saying thank you? Cause if it is, it needs some work."

Tommy replied, "I'll thank you for real when we get out of here. We can use the main invisi-portal network."

The kids gasped as a portal began to open. Tommy asked, "Hayley gave you the Raptor Cycles, right? This way."

Tommy began to rush forward, but Ethan put out a hand to stop him, "Wait! We need to talk!"

Tommy insisted, "Go! I'll explain later." Conner quipped at his mentor, "We already know everything." Kira replied, "We found the video diary."

Ethan nodded, "We know you're a Power Ranger… we even know Coach Hart was one as well." Tommy quipped as he gave Ethan a look, "Was, Ethan… not anymore. And I can't believe you kids know about Kimberly."

The lab doors were forced open, and the villains made their way inside. Mesogog stalked forward and hissed at the rangers and their mentor, "Ranger or not, you're mine now!"

Tommy rolled his eyes, "I hate when he gets like this." Conner told his mentor, "We can take it from here, Dr. O." He turned towards his team, "Ready?!"

Ethan and Kira nodded, "Ready!" and with a "Dino Thunder, Power Up!" the rangers quickly got back into their suits.

Mesogog hissed, "Attack!" The rangers quickly pulled out their sabers just as the bad guys rushed towards them.

Kira landed several strikes with her saber and was driving the Tyrannodrones away from her. Conner was being attacked by Zeltrax and Elsa… he dodged their attacks, and the two villains ended up striking at the console instead. Ethan struck at the Tryannodrones, and even managed to hold his own with Pollinator.

Tommy spun and kicked at the Tyrannodrones but ended up getting into a fight with Mesogog. Mesogog landed a powerful kick onto Tommy's stomach, causing Tommy to fly backwards. Mesogog lunged forward, picked up the fallen former ranger, and tossed Tommy into the air like a rag doll. Tommy crashed into a nearby console and landed with a thud.

Conner saw his mentor was in trouble and began to rush forward, "Dr. O!" Tommy yelled at the rangers, "Head for the portal! I got to get something… hurry!"

Conner turned to the other rangers, "We better do what he says!" Kira nodded, "Right!" The rangers leaped forward and disappeared into the portal.

Tommy quickly rushed past Mesogog and managed to grab the stone. He kicked at the Tyrannodrones that were trying to stop him and managed to get to the portal. As soon as Tommy jumped through the portal, the portal quickly closed behind him.

Mesogog growled to his minions, "Do not let him escape with that stone! Go!" Elsa and her group quickly began to run.

Tommy landed right behind the rangers' cycles. The rangers were relieved to see their mentor, "Hey!" "You made it!"

Conner noticed the stone in Tommy's arms and quipped, "Do we really need a souvenir?" A portal back to the outside began to open as Tommy replied, "This one we do."

Elsa shouted, "There they are!" as she and her group rounded the corner. Tommy turned to the rangers, "Go! I'm right behind you!"

Conner hollered, "Hit it!" and he and the ranger sped through the portal. Tommy leaped through the portal just in time. Elsa and her minions arrived just as the portal closed.

The rangers landed back in Reefside… they turned their cycles and began to search for their mentor. Conner asked, "Where is he?"

The rangers were relieved when Tommy landed right behind them. Tommy was safe, but Zeltrax and Elsa's group quickly appeared on the scene.

Tommy turned onto his feet just as Zeltrax fired a lethal energy beam from his sword straight at the former ranger.

Tommy put his arms up using the energy stone to block the attack. Conner hollered, "Dr. O!" and he and the rangers moved forward.

Zeltrax's attack caused the stone to absorb a huge amount of energy… it caused Tommy to fly backwards and caused a huge explosion.

The rangers gasped as there were only shards of crystals in the spot where Tommy had been. Ethan hollered, "Dr. Oliver!" Kira went down on her knees in heartbreak, "No!" The rangers were devastated… it appeared Tommy had been destroyed.

As both groups saw the damage, Kira replied, "This can't be happening!" She couldn't believe they had lost Tommy.

Elsa quipped, "Such negativity. Haven't you learned that, in our world, anything's possible?" Zeltrax chimed in, "Even the destruction of the great Dr. Tommy Oliver."

Suddenly Tommy's voice came out loud and clear, "I heard my name." Tommy reappeared… he was safe and unharmed. He had only been invisible… his hand was now clutched around the Black Dino Gem. He gave a wide smile as he quipped, "You missed me, didn't you, Zeltrax?"

Zeltrax could not believe that Tommy was still alive. The rangers were overjoyed and rushed to their mentor's side, "All right!" "Awesome!" "Right on!" "You made it!"

Conner grasped at Tommy's hand, "Hey, Dr. O, what's this?" Tommy opened his palm to reveal the glowing black gem.

Ethan realized, "A Black Dino Gem. Let me guess… the power of invisibility!" Tommy nodded, "Looks like it."

Elsa was furious that Tommy had the gem in his possession and called out, "That gem belongs to my master."

Tommy smirked as he knew the gem had chosen him to be its master, "There's two things you guys need to learn about Dino Gems. One- you can't choose them… they choose you."

Elsa quipped, "What's the other?" Tommy moved his arm to reveal a black and gold morpher, "They go real well with Dino Morphers." He quickly inserted his gem into his new morpher.

Elsa smirked as she gave Tommy a look, "Hmm… aren't you a little old for this, Tommy?" She couldn't believe the rangers' mentor was actually going to join the team.

Tommy quipped, "I may be old, but I can still pull it off." He moved his arms to reveal a gold key in his other hand. He quickly inserted the key into his morpher and hollered, "Dino Thunder, Power Up!"

Tommy morphed into his new ranger suit… his suit was black with gold spikes and had shield-like golden epaulets on the shoulders. Instead of a blaster, he had a unique Brachio Staff on his hip. His helmet declared that he was the master of the Brachio Zord.

Once fully morphed, Tommy hollered, "Dino Thunder, Black Ranger!" as everyone got a look at Tommy's new suit.

The other rangers loved that their mentor was now joining them on the battlefield and rushed to their new teammate's side, "Awesome!" "Yeah!"

Zeltrax just gave Tommy a hard look as he studied the newest member of the Dino Thunder Rangers.

Tommy quipped, "Just like riding a bike." It was surreal becoming a ranger again, but he was quickly adjusting to his new powers. The old ranger instincts were quickly returning… while Tommy had hoped to just train the kids, he now accepted that he had always been meant to help the kids as a fellow ranger.

Zeltrax just gave a look towards the rangers, "One more makes no difference. Attack!" The villains charged towards the rangers.

As Tommy fought the Tyrannodrones, it felt like he was back in his youth. His battle instincts returned, and he was grateful that he hadn't lost his touch. With his new powers, he was able to quickly drive the creatures away from him.

Zeltrax launched an attack on Tommy, but Tommy quickly blocked it. Tommy quickly grabbed his weapon, "Brachio Staff!" Zeltrax growled at the black ranger, "Let's see what you're made of" He wasn't about to let his enemy defeat him.

Kira and Ethan were fighting Pollinator… the blue and yellow ranger were holding their own against the monster and working well as a team. As both rangers tried to swipe the monster's legs, Pollinator quickly dodged the maneuver. Pollinator laughed, "Later, Power Losers!" and retreated from the scene.

Conner was fighting Elsa and was using his saber to block Elsa's attacks. In a moment when the two were locked in a hold Elsa hissed at the red ranger, "We are not intimidated by your teacher." Conner quipped, "Then you've obviously never taken one of his pop quizzes." Elsa quickly gave Conner a kick to get out of the hold, and the two began to fight again.

Tommy stood his ground as he yelled, "Give it up, Zeltrax." Zeltrax growled, "Never!" The cyborg was determined to defeat Tommy and rushed forward. Tommy quickly used his staff to block, as the cyborg continued his attack. Tommy quipped, "Hello!" as Zeltrax's sword nearly hit his helmet. Tommy had managed to block that blow in the nick of time. Zeltrax spun and landed a powerful kick to Tommy's stomach, causing Tommy to fly backwards. Tommy felt that impact and clutched at his stomach… Zeltrax quipped, "Is that all you got, Black Ranger?" Tommy shot back, "Give me a break… it's been a while." While Tommy's ranger instincts were returning, he had to admit he did underestimate Zeltrax's abilities.

Ethan and Kira had pulled out their blasters and began searching for Pollinator. Kira quipped, "Where is that petal pusher?" Suddenly the blue and yellow ranger heard a laugh behind them… Pollinator reappeared and taunted, "Looking for me?" The monster charged forward, despite Ethan firing his blaster. Pollinator kept moving and managed to strike at Ethan and Kira.

Conner was still fighting with Elsa. Conner spun and landed a hard kick on Elsa's stomach, causing the villainess to fly backward. Elsa managed to regain her bearings, but Conner could tell Elsa was angry that she hadn't been able to defeat him. Elsa growled, "We will meet again, Red Ranger." She quickly opened a portal and retreated from the scene. Conner quipped, "Fine!" and quickly went to rejoin his team.

Ethan and Kira leaped in the air, "Fire!" and aimed their blasters directly at Pollinator. They continued to fire and landed several hits on the monster. Pollinator moaned in pain, and Ethan quipped, "That's Dino Power!"

Conner then arrived, "Hey guys!" Kira turned her head towards Conner, "You okay?" Conner nodded and noticed that his friends had did a number on Pollinator, "Better than he is." Ethan was ready to end this battle, "Let's put them together!" Conner agreed, "Yeah! Good Call!"

The rangers quickly combined their weapons, "Z-Rex Blaster!" and pointed the blaster directly at Pollinator. Pollinator knew he was in trouble, "Don't be a Pollinator hater!"

The rangers didn't back down, "Ready!" "Fire!" as they fired their blaster at the monster. The Z-Rex Blaster quickly blew Pollinator to pieces.

Zeltrax was still fighting Tommy. Tommy had to lean backwards as Zeltrax's sword flew past his face again but managed to roll out of the attack. Zeltrax growled, "I'm not through!" and charged again. Tommy quickly blocked the attack, and then spun around to land a powerful kick on the cyborg. Tommy's kick sent Zeltrax flying in the air… the cyborg flew into a nearby stone monument and landed on the ground in a heap.

Zeltrax gave Tommy a dirty look as he began to get up, "Go ahead… I dare you." Tommy knew Zeltrax was trying to provoke him and wasn't going to let the cyborg bring out his Evil Green Ranger side, "No… I've got a message for your boss. Tell him Tommy's back. And no matter what color I am, he'll never defeat me." Zeltrax growled in anger as he opened a portal and retreated from the scene.

Mesogog had seen and heard Tommy's little speech over his monitors and quipped, "Don't be so sure." He moved the lever to activate his Hydro Regenerator, "Engage"

The Hydro Regenerator quickly sent its dark cloud over Pollinator, and the pieces quickly began to pull together. Pollinator returned with an "Oh yeah!" and towered over the rangers.

The rangers quickly rushed to Tommy's side… they couldn't believe that Pollinator was back, "No way!"

Suddenly Tommy's morpher beeped, "Hayley?" Hayley smiled as she told her best friend, "Welcome back… I've got a little homecoming present for you. I found it on the north side of the forest."

Hayley sent a command, and the Brachio Zord began to make its way to the rangers, "Meet the Brachio Zord. Retrieving the Black Gem must've awakened him."

Kimberly quipped, "Nice zord, Tommy. I should have known you would become a ranger again. Black's an interesting color choice for you… I'm glad that it wasn't a pink gem."

Tommy retorted, "I should have known you would get involved Kimberly… and you don't have to worry about me stealing your color. Pink's a great color, but I know I can't pull it off… pink will always be yours."

Everyone rolled their eyes at Tommy and Kim's banter… they couldn't believe the two were managing to flirt in the midst of a battle. They clearly had no clue on how Tommy and Kim used to act when they were younger.

Brachio Zord finally arrived on the scene… the other rangers were amazed seeing Tommy's new zord, "Oh, wow!" Hayley quipped, "Wait till you see what he has inside… I think you can handle it from here."

Brachio Zord began to open to reveal he had brought the other Dino Zords with him. Brachio Zord turned out to be a protective carrier zord and would help bring his fellow zords safely to battles.

The Dino Zords rushed towards the scene and the rangers quickly combined their zords, "Thundersarus Megazord!"

Pollinator spun and landed several strikes on the Megazord. He then wrapped his tentacles around the Megazord and sent several shockwaves, "Feel the love!"

Pollinator laughed, and sparks flew in the rangers' cockpit. Conner exclaimed, "Whoa! We're getting rocked!" Ethan agreed, "We could use some reinforcements." Kira asked, "Hayley, you got any more surprises?"

Kira was shocked when she heard Hayley reply, "Sure do… try the Cephalo Zord."

Tommy was thrilled as the button for the Cephalo Zord appeared on his morpher, "All right!" He quickly turned his key, "Locking on!" The eyes of the Cephalo Zord button glowed, and Brachio opened to let Cephalo out.

The rangers saw the tiny zord running towards the scene, "What's that?" "Awesome!" Cephalo Zord reared up like a boxer and landed several punches on Pollinator, causing the monster to fly backwards and release its hold on the Megazord.

Tommy quickly told the other rangers, "The Cephalo Zord can link up with your Megazord for even more power."

Conner looked at his friends, "Did you guys hear that? Let's do it!" He pressed at the controls, "Ready!"

Cephalo Zord joined the Megazord as a battling arm. Pollinator had gotten up and rushed forward. The Megazord saw the attack and charged as well. The rangers decided to use their new zord, "Cephalo Power Punch!"

The Megazord reared up, and Cephalo landed several powerful punches on Pollinator. Pollinator flew in the air and exploded from the impact.

The rangers cheered, as the Megazord stood proudly in victory. Tommy smiled at his teammates, "Good job, guys!"

After the battle, everyone met up at Hayley's to relax. The kids smiled as Kimberly gave Tommy a huge hug… Kimberly was relieved that Tommy was okay, and Tommy let himself enjoy the hug. He knew he and Kimberly still needed to talk, but he was happy that she now knew the truth and knew she would be a huge help in continuing the rangers' training.

Ethan smiled as he commented, "What a day- new bikes, new zords!" Conner quipped at Tommy, "New ranger- well, sort of new!" Kira looked at Kimberly, "Not to mention another mentor to help us."

Tommy and Kimberly smiled at that. Kira decided to ask as she was curious, "Dr. O, are you going to tell us how you happened to have that morpher ready?"

Tommy answered, "Right after you guys became rangers, I got an energy reading on the tracking system. I had a good idea it was another gem." He raised his arm to gently show his new bracelet, "I had Hayley build a morpher just in case."

Kira asked, "And the day of my gig?" Tommy replied, "I was coming to tell you guys the energy had moved, and we needed to investigate. I was also planning on telling Kimberly the truth, as she was already figuring out that I was involved in creating and training you kids as rangers."

Kimberly wrapped an arm around Tommy, "I might not be a ranger anymore, but I still have my ranger intuition. It's hard to trick a ranger… especially a pink ranger."

Tommy laughed, "Be glad we have Kimberly as an ally… you do not want to have a Pink Ranger as an enemy. They tend to be the most stubborn of all the rangers, but they are also loyal and fierce partners to have at your side."

The kids laughed as Kimberly gave a playful punch to Tommy's arm. Conner realized, "So you were going to be honest and ask for help; then you got nabbed by the goon patrol… brutal."

Tommy nodded, "Yeah, but it all turned out okay." He stood up to leave, "Well, I better get going."

Hayley gave Tommy a look, "Going? Where are you going?" Tommy leaned over the couch and gave the rangers a look, "Shopping… I checked my closet this morning, and there's a serious shortage of black in there."

The rangers laughed at that… it was true that they used their ranger colors in their everyday wardrobe. Kimberly quipped as she got up as well, "Tommy, I better go with you. You're definitely going to need my shopping expertise."

Tommy laughed, "Any excuse for a shopping trip… you haven't changed a bit, beautiful." Kimberly blushed at the old nickname, "Don't you start… handsome." The rangers quirked their eyebrows at the former couple and teased, "Oooh!"

Tommy gave a glare at the rangers as he gently took Kimberly's hand, "Shut up… I do have more pop quizzes planned and even more ranger training drills if you guys don't behave." Kimberly gave a gentle smile at Tommy, and then gave her famous Kim glare at the kids, "And don't think I won't have extra work for you as well in my classes. And I'll definitely add my own twists to your ranger training."

The rangers chuckled as Tommy and Kimberly left the café together. Kira rolled her eyes, "You think those two will work things out? I mean, it's obvious they still care about each other."

The boys nodded and Hayley smiled, "They have a lot that they need to work through, but now that Kimberly is going to be helping us, I have a feeling they will."

The rangers agreed with Hayley… they hoped their mentors would be able to fix their personal relationship. It was obvious Tommy and Kimberly still loved each other, and the kids felt their mentors deserved a chance to be happy.

Now that Tommy joined the team as a ranger, the kids knew Mesogog was going to continue to throw challenges at them, but they were feeling more confident in their abilities. After watching the video diary Conner, Ethan, and Kira realized how important being a Power Ranger truly was. They were now part of a long line of legendary rangers, and they were determined to live up to that great legacy.
