Hello everyone! Today, out next set of Super Smash Bros. fighters will be Nintendo Characters, so it won't be just Third Party Characters (most of the time.) Today, we're getting a three way deal with three different Pokémon! Our new contenders are Meowth, Diancie and Sceptile!
There will be times where more than one character will have a chapter and these will be longer to accommodate for them, yet they will share the same trailer as a result.
I will explain why I chose these three for later, but for now, I choose you three Pokémon!
Also, this chapter won't have new Assist Trophies and stages, so don't expect everyone to get something like that.
One thing to note, for Meowth and Diancie, I will use aspects from their anime counterparts. Now before you call me out for it, please hear me out. In regards to Mewtwo and Lucario, they're based off of their anime selves sense Mewtwo and Lucario can speak in the games like their anime counterparts do, so there is an exception to Pokémon to a degree.

However, they would always be foiled by a certain "Twerp" and his Pikachu, who they always follow around...

Wario sees a Female Pokémon Trainer, who sends Squirtle, Ivysaur and Charizard to battle against Mario, Yoshi and Donkey Kong. The three Pokémon are doing well against the Mario Heroes until the shadow figure on Wario's bike jumps out and shoots the three down with nets, immobilizing the three starters, shocking the Trainer, Mario, Yoshi and DK as they see Wario and Wolf O'Donnell land on the ground.
?: "Hehehehe! Looks like your Pokémon are tied up! Jessie and James are sure to like this!"
The shadowy figure lands, revealing himself to be Meowth of Team Rocket!
MEOWTH REACHES FOR THE STARS ABOVE!
Meowth: "Now then, your Pokémon belong to Team Rocket as of today! Me and my new friend along with Jessie and James are sure to get a raise from the boss! As James would say, "Surrender now or prepare to fight!""
Meowth and Wario prepare to attack the weakend heroes until an unknown weapon sloces the nets, freeing the trapped Pokémon while a big diamond sheilds Mario, Yoshi and DK. All of them looks behind to see two more shadowy figures as one lands on a tree branch while one levitates on a mountain side.
?: "You will not hurt those Pokémon or these people!"
The floating figure descends onto the ground, with Meowth recognizing the Pokémon in question.
Meowth: "Huh!? You came to Smash too!?"
The figure is revealed to be Diancie, the Princess of the Diamon Domain!
Diancie: "Leave now! I'd rather not bring harm to you!"
DIANCIE IS SHINING BRIGHTLY!
Meowth: "What are you going to do about it!?"
After that's been said, the shadow on the tree branch lands next to Diancie along with four of Diancie's Carbink Servents. The figure is revealed to be a Sceptile as it unleashes it's Leaf Blades.
Sceptile: "SCEPTILE!"
SCEPTILE EMERGES FROM THE JUNGLE!
The cutscene then changes to gameplay to show Sceptile, Diancie and Mario up against Wario, Meowth and Wolf.
Diancie: "Be strong! For the safety of all Pokémon and Humans!"
Meowth: "These aren't Jessie and James, but we're gonna make it Double Trouble!"
The three Pokémon proceed to show off a plethora of regulars attacks and combos with Meowth beating up Mario. When Mario near sends Meowth flying and attempts to stirke him down in midair, Meowth air dodges and uses his jetpack to save himself as Mario plunges to his doom. A brief cutscene shows Mario falling into a chasm, complete with twinkle.
Mario: "Waaaaahhhhhhh!"
Meowth: "Finally! now you know how we feel!"
It cuts to gameplay to show Sceptile using all of his specials and utilizing it's Leaf Blades to set up some combos against Wario before grabbing him and using back throw. A Smash Ball appears with Sceptile getting a moment before Wario. Sceptile turns into Mega Sceptile and uses it's Solar Beam on Wario sending him off screen, cutting to a cutscene bit where he lands near the girl Pokémon Trainer, where she decides to help out.
Back to gameplay, Squirtle is helping Diancie with Wolf.
Diancie: "I appreciate your aid. Let us begin!"
Wolf attempts to attack Diancie, but she uses Smack Down to trip up the mercenary before Squirtle uses Wothdraw as a follow up. Diancie then uses her combos and her specials to fight Wolf as Ivysaur and Charizard occasionally help out.
Meowth: "Don count me out yet!"
Meowth now fights Yoshi and DK as he makes uses of his specials in addition to guarding Yoshi and dodging DK. Meowth uses Fury Swipes on DK and Bite on Yoshi before another Smash Ball appears! DK hits a few with Yoshi hitting it too. Just about when they're about to break it, Meowth uses his Aerial Up attack to steal the Smash Ball.
Meowth: "Prepare for trouble!"
Meowth uses his Finals Smash to catch Yoshi and DK, transforming into Gigantamax Meowth and defeat both heroes. A cutscene shows DK slamming into a wall while Yoshi flies into the lake. As it cuts to gameplay, Meowth starts beating up Sceptile and The Pokémon Trainer's Pokémon as Wario and Wolf come back. One more Smash Ball appears and this time, Diancie grabs it!
Diancie: "I won't be afraid or doubt myself!"

Meowth: "Team Rocket's blasting off again!"
Afterward, Mega Diancie lands nearby Sceptile, The Pokémon Trainer and her Pokémon as Mario, Yoshi and DK return. Sceptile gives a thumbs up at Diancie as her Carbink Servents dance around in joy.
Diancie: "Thank you."
The screen then fades to black.
Meowth, Diancie and Sceptile are then added to the Smash Mural.
Palutena's Guidance (Meowth)
Pit: "Why is there a cat running around here?"
Palutena: "That's a Meowth. A Feline Normal Type Pokémon."
Viridi: "Last time I checked, Meowth's don't walk on two feet though."
Jessie: "Mind if we cut in?"
Pit: "Whoa! Where did you two come from!?"
James: "Oh! I'm glad you asked! Time for the Team Rocket Motto!"
Palutena: "Wait a minute, aren't you!?"
Jessie: "PREPARE FOR TROUBLE!"
James: "MAKE IT DOUBLE!"
Jessie: "To protect the world from devastation."
James: "To unite all peoples within our nation."
Jessie: "To denounce the evils of truth and love."
James: "To extend our reach to the stars above."
Jessie: "Jessie!"
James: "James!"
Jessie: "Team Rocket, blasting off at the speed of light!"
James: "Surrender now, or prepare to fight!"
Meowth: "Meowth! Dat's right!"
Pit: "Ah, that Pokémon talked!"
Palutena: "Team Rocket! I should've have known!"
Pit: "Who're they? And why did that Meowth talk!? I thought Pokémon couldn't speak!"
Viridi: "Well, Mewtwo and Lucario can speak as well based on observing them through telepathy and Aura respectively. They just never spoke to us for some reason..."
Palutena: "Team Rocket are a group of humans who are part of a criminal organization. There goal is to steal or capture powerful Pokémon in an effort to take over the world. The organization is headed by Giovanni, who also runs the Gym of Viridian City in the Kanto Region."
Jessie: "Last time I recalled, the Boss abandoned that position."
Pit: "Wait! Does that mean Pokémon has a split timeline!?"
Viridi: "Kind of. Anyway, this is why humans need to be exterminated! I even hear Team Rocket perform cruel experiments to enhance the power of the Pokémon they steal!"
James: "Hey! We treat our Pokémon with love and respect!"
Palutena: "James is right actually. Yes, Jessie and James do attempt to steal Pokémon, but they don't do things that are completely evil and they genuinely love their Pokémon, Meowth included."
"As for Meowth himself, he's able to speak because he taught himself to do so and even walks like a human. Combined with his Pokémon abilities, he's got the best of both worlds. He even chose to join Team Rocket of his own accord, showing that if a Pokémon set their mind to it, they can become human more or less."
Pit: "That's crazy... and impressive..."
Viridi: "It's blasphemy! That's what it is! We should re-educate that Meowth before it makes other Pokémon emulate those monkeys!"
Jessie: "Shut your mouth, you little twerp!"
Viridi: "Wha-!? HOW DARE YOU!"
James: "Anywho, Meowth may be a Normal Type Pokémon, but with his human like traits, he's pretty agile. He can even use Fury Swipes, Bite and Scratch!"
Jessie: "We even gave him a couple of Team Rocket (Patent Pending!) gadgets to make up for his short comings and his Final Smash turns him into Gigantamax Meowth!"
Pit: "So, no projectiles to reflect with Guardian Orbitars... great!"
Palutena: "That may be true, but he's incredibly light weight, so you should have no trouble sending him flying if you keep the pressure on him."
Pit: "Got it! Team Rocket, prepare to get blasted off!"
Jessie: "You're not like the twerp and his Pikachu, so don't count on it!"
James: "So don't get in Meowth's way!"
Meowth: "Dat's right! Prepare for trouble angel twerp!"
Viridi: "Hey! I'm not done talking to you! Get back here!"
Palutena's Guidance (Diancie)
Pit: "Wow! That Pokémon is shiny!"
Palutena: "She ought to be, that would be Diancie, the Jewel Pokémon. Diancie's are a result of a special mutation from a Carbink, who are also Jewel Pokémon.
Viridi: "Although this Pokémon is unique. She's the Princess of the Diamond Domain, where she leads a bunch of Carbinks. Normally, Diancie's and Carbinks are genderless, but they definitely have some gender identity based on how they sound when they speak."
Pit: "Confusing topic of Pokémon Gender aside, where's the Diamond Domain? I never saw that in the Kalos Region..."
Viridi: "Let'sjust say the Diamond Domain is a VERY special place only few people know about and leave it at that. The point is that when their Heart Crystal was dying out, she went on a journey to learn how to create a new Heart Diamond."
"She then met four monkeys, one who has a Pikachu of his own, and they helped her meet Xerneas, the life Pokémon. Diancie and Xerneas managed to fend off and calm Yveltal, Xerneas's counterpart, and Diancie created a new Heart Diamond with the power of friendship. The end."
Pit: "Huh? I could have sworn I saw a movie about that."
Palutena: "It would seem this Diancie has learned some new moves though. She can use now use Moonblast, Power Gem and Smack Down. She even has four of her loyal Carbink Servents to help out."
Pit: "It's a good thing I have you and Viridi for giving me advice to fight my opponents in Smash here. So, I should reflect Moonblast and jump over Smack Down, right?"
Palutena: "That's right! However, you should be wary of Power Gem. It's slow, but if you use Guardian Orbitars against that, it might destroy them instantly and deal heavy damage."
"Also, despite her size, Diancie is surprisingly heavy thanks to the rock and jewels making up her body, so it will take effort to send her flying."
Pit: "I just hope she won't throw a tantrum for me getting rough with her."
Viridi: "No need to worry about that, she's a very kind and well behaved Pokémon, like a proper princess. Just watch out for her Final Smash when she turns into Mega Diancie or you'll become a special piece at a jewel museum."
Palutena's Guidance (Sceptile)
Pit: "Wow, that's one giant gecko..."
Viridi: "That's a Sceptile. It's a Grass Type Pokémon and is even known as the Jungle Pokémon. It is the final evolved form of Treeko, the Grass Type starter Pokémon of the Hoenn Region."
Pit: "It definitely appears to be more agile compared to Ivysaur."
Viridi: "To be fair, Ivysaur is a quadruped, so It won't have the same mobility a Sceptile would have as It's bipedal. Anyway, Sceptile is a mix between a Pikachu and an Ivysaur as It has Bullet Seed and Agility. However, Sceptile can aim It's Bullet Seed forward and It's Agility is just as effective as Pikachu's in terms of recovering. Use your Guardian Orbitars to reflect Bullet Seed, but make sure you don't fire your arrows when It uses Leaf Storm."
Pit: "Thanks for the heads up Viridi, but let me guess. Palutena's not here because this your thing, right?"
Viridi: "Yes. I'm glad you understand. Another thing worth noting is It's Quick Attack, which is a charging attack, so your Orbitars won't protect you from It and It has a bunch of long range attacks since It primarily fights with Leaf Blade."
Pit: "Well, at least It's not another sword fighter... we have WAY too many of those here..."
Viridi: "Be wary of It's Final Smash! It will transform into Mega Sceptile and blast you away with a Solor Beam across the screen! You should be able to dodge it by jumping to a safe spot or getting behind It!"
Pit: "Right then! Time to prune this plant!"
Viridi: "Ugh... that was an awful plant joke, Pit..."
With that, our trio of Pokémon are done! Now for reasons I chose these three!
Meowth: Next to Pikachu, Meowth is a very iconic Pokémon thanks to Team Rocket in the anime. Also, Meowth is no longer a summon Pokémon in Ultimate, so it can be a good way to includ him in the cast.
Diancie: Diancie is a Mythical Pokémon, something that the playable Pokémon aren't as Mewtwo's a Legendary while the others are regular Pokémon. I also have fondness for the Diancie movie and it could help to have a "female" Pokémon outside of the two female Pikachu costumes for Pikachu.
Sceptile: Primarily to have a stand alone Grass Type Pokémon. Considering Greninja is from Kalos and Incineroar is from Aloa, why not have one from Hoenn. Special credit goes to a good friend of mine for coming up with this one.
See you next time!
