White Thunder- Part 1
Hayley yawned as she walked into her café to start getting everything ready for the day. She gasped as she heard a noise and grabbed a jar off the counter.
The redhead rolled her eyes as she realized she had grabbed a container of jellybeans. Hayley set the jar back on the counter and began to look around the café. She spotted the mike stand on the stage, and quickly grabbed it to arm herself.
Hayley nervously gulped as she made her way around the counter and kept a tight grip on the mike stand. Hayley may not be a ranger, but she would defend her business… she just hoped she could be brave enough to chase away the intruder.
Hayley brand-dashed her makeshift weapon and hollered, "Hi-yah!" It turned out it was Trent! Trent had made a makeshift art station and was working on his drawings. He got startled by Hayley's arrival, and crashed to the floor.
Trent looked up to find his boss, "Hayley… you're here. Why?" Hayley sighed in relief and put down the mike stand. She managed to quip, "You've seen that sign outside… the one that says Hayley's Cyberspace."
Trent shook his head… Hayley had every right to be in her business, and felt guilty for scaring her, "Right… sorry." He dusted himself off and got back on his feet.
Hayley looked over and saw the drawings Trent had been working on. The redhead was impressed, "Wow. This is- you did this?"
Trent nodded, "Yeah" as Hayley turned to another page in his sketchbook. Hayley studied the drawings and felt that Trent was a talented artist, "This is really good." Trent smiled, appreciating the compliment, "Thanks"
Hayley set down Trent's sketchbook and walked towards the counter so she could start setting up. She was curious why Trent was at the café so early, "So, here's the only question I have."
Trent knew what Hayley was thinking and began to help set down the chairs, "What am I doing here at 7 in the morning instead of at home?"
Hayley nodded, "That would be the one." Trent answered as he continued to help, "I came here to draw. My dad's not exactly supportive of my artistic endeavors."
Hayley turned on the lights and asked, "How do you know?" Hayley felt bad that Trent's dad was not being supportive… then again, she wasn't surprised. Anton did try to buy her café to force Trent into becoming a businessman.
Trent replied, "Well, I think his exact words were-" He proceeded to imitate his father's posh voice, "Trent, I am in no way supportive of your artistic endeavors."
Hayley gave a knowing look as she moved a tray of glasses, "I see"
Trent continued, "And he doesn't think it will get me anywhere." While he was frustrated with his father, he was glad Hayley was being kind enough to listen.
Hayley tried to be reassuring, "He'll come around." From what she could see, Anton did care about his son and only wanted the best for Trent. She hoped Anton would realize that he was only damaging his relationship with his son.
While a nice thought, Trent softly scoffed, "My dad's a great guy, but there are some things he won't budge on. This is one of them."
Meanwhile, on the Island Fortress, Mesogog and his generals were putting their latest plan in motion. Mesogog had sent Elsa to retrieve a vital item that was the key to defeating the Power Rangers.
Mesogog and Zeltrax were in the lab, and the evil mastermind asked, "What was the last contact you had with her, Zeltrax?"
Zeltrax answered, "Elsa was nearing the carbon infusion, my lord. She should be there any moment."
Mesogog replied, "We have kept our prize well hidden from Dr. Oliver for nearly a year. The waiting is over. The opportunity to equalize our forces… to go toe to toe with the mighty Dino Thunder Rangers is at hand."
Mesogog spied a spider on his lab counter and eyed it as he continued, "Nothing must interfere."
Zeltrax agreed, "And we will do everything in our power to ensure that it does not."
Mesogog flicked his tongue and proceeded to eat the spider. Once he finished, the villain warned, "Of course you will." Mesogog was determined for this plan to work… he would not tolerate any more failures.
Elsa arrived in the forest where they had hidden their prize. She activated her glasses and began to scan the area.
Finally, her glasses read, "Object Found" Elsa smirked as she removed the glasses, "Exactly where we left you. The energy should almost be ready now."
She opened her laptop and typed in the code to deactivate the cloaking device that shielded the item from discovery.
The laptop fired a yellow beam into the clearing, and the scenery changed to reveal a large storage area. In the center was a strange stone altar.
Elsa smirked, and proceeded to put earplugs into her ears. She typed in another code, and the laptop sent a purple beam towards the altar. Elsa ducked, as the beam caused a massive explosion.
Once the dust settled, Elsa made her way towards the altar. She was met by a glowing white light and smiled. She was pleased that their plan was working, and quickly retrieved the item for her master.
Meanwhile, Tommy was hard at work in the Dino Lab. He was cleaning up a fossil and was absorbed in his work, "Interesting"
Kimberly walked in and saw Tommy hard at work. She teased, "Playing with your fossils, handsome? Is this something I have to get used to?"
Tommy smirked, "I may be a science teacher now, but I'm still a paleontologist. Any quirks about you that I need to know about?"
Kimberly laughed and gave Tommy a quick kiss, "Nothing major… I'm still a shopaholic, but I have toned it down. I don't go crazy like I did when we were in high school."
Tommy teased, "That's a miracle… I remember you would be at the mall every day, and I would always get stuck carrying your bags."
Kimberly chuckled as she sat on Tommy's lap, "Careful, handsome. I can still make that happen… I am overdue for a shopping trip."
Tommy shook his head… he playfully smirked and pulled Kimberly down for another kiss. Kimberly couldn't help but smile into the kiss. She knew Tommy was trying to distract her, but she didn't mind his silly antics. Tommy began to deepen the kiss, and things began to turn more passionate between the couple.
Suddenly, the nearby monitor sounded the alert, and interrupted Tommy and Kim's impromptu make-out session. Kimberly groaned at the interruption, and the couple looked up to see what was going on the screens. They saw a huge cloud of smoke and could see there was a person on the scene (It was Elsa, but the smoke had effectively hidden her identity). Tommy questioned, "Who's that?" Kimberly shrugged her shoulders, "I can't tell… but something's going on. That looks like a huge explosion."
Kimberly quickly got up to allow Tommy to get to work. Tommy tried to zoom in to get a better look but was unsuccessful at identifying the person. Tommy removed his glasses, "Petrified Forest? What could be going on out there?"
Kimberly noticed the monitors were alerting a huge energy spike and replied, "Whoa, the readings are off the charts. Tommy, maybe you should call the others. This looks like something the Power Rangers need to investigate. I'll get ahold of Hayley so she can help me monitor the computers."
Tommy nodded as he studied the readings… he grabbed a meter and spoke into his bracelet, "Guys, meet me in the Petrified Forest. Something's up, and we need to check it out."
Meanwhile, Cassidy and Devin were dressed up for an important interview. Cassidy was all excited as she exclaimed, "This is it!" as they arrived outside at the Reefside Nightly News Studio.
Devin was skeptical about what they were about to do, "You really think this is going to work, Cass? I mean, I think you need some experience to be a real reporter."
Cassidy was confident that she could talk her way into a real TV reporter position, "This is television, Devin. It's all about the hair, the clothes, and the makeup." She smiled as she flipped her hair, "Let's face it… mine are totally the best."
Cassidy turned on her heels to head inside. Devin still had a skeptical, and confused, look on his face, "Wait up" He proceeded to follow Cassidy inside the building.
Cassidy and Devin managed to get an interview with Edward Cormier, the head of the news studio. Mr. Cormier had listened to the two friends and replied, "Okay, okay, let me get this straight. You guys are sick of your high school TV station… you want to work here."
Cassidy nodded as she looked around the office, "Yes, please. And we'd like to start straight away."
Mr. Cormier sat on his desk as he looked over reports that were being handed to him by his assistants, "Oh, that's fantastic. That's great. But wait, do you have any real experience?"
Devin gave Cassidy a look and used his hands to emphasize Mr. Cormier's words, "See, Cass, I told you they'd need that."
Cassidy scoffed at Devin, as Mr. Cormier nodded in agreement, "You might want to listen to your friend next time. He doesn't say much, but he seems smart."
Devin smiled at that as Mr. Cormier got up, "Oh, thanks." Cassidy quickly elbowed Devin in the side, causing him to shut up.
Cassidy was determined to get her chance and poured on the charm, "You're not a pushover, Mr. Cormier. And I respect that."
Mr. Cormier chuckled as he began to sit down in his chair, "Oh, I'm so relieved." An assistant handed him a phone, and he prepared to dismiss the two friends. While he liked their moxie, Cassidy and Devin were only in high school… he needed experienced reporters for his studio.
Cassidy replied, "What if we brought you a story? A huge, groundbreaking story. An exclusive!"
Even though he been trying to listen to his phone conversation, Mr. Cormier's interest peaked at Cassidy's idea, "An exclusive?"
Cassidy looked around the office and saw that Mr. Cormier had a photo of the Power Rangers on his wall. She noticed that Mr. Cormier had been closely following them for his news report.
That gave Cassidy an idea, "The Power Rangers… what if we brought you something about them?"
Mr. Cormier began to pay more attention, "Yeah, like what?" He seriously began to like the idea.
Cassidy thought on her feet, "Like, who they are."
Mr. Cormier gave Cassidy a skeptical look at that. He hung up the phone and walked back towards Cassidy and Devin. He replied, "Look, young lady, I've had 5 of my best reporters on this Power Ranger thing for months. And nothing, de nada, zero. You with me? But I'll tell you what I'll do, because I like your attitude. You bring me the identity of one, I don't care what color, and I'll give you a spot- 6 o'clock, lead story."
A huge smile formed on Cassidy's face, and she clasped her hands in happiness, "Yes! You won't be disappointed, sir!"
Mr. Cormier nodded as Cassidy happily turned towards Devin. Devin nodded in appreciation towards Mr. Cormier, "Okay, let's go. Thank you very much." Devin followed Cassidy out the door, but Devin knew it wasn't going to be an easy assignment.
The rangers arrived in the forest, and found Tommy scanning the area. Ethan replied, "We came as soon as we could, Dr. O. What did you find?"
The area was still smoking as Tommy answered and turned off his meter, "Some sort of storage unit. The energy readings are so intense, this meter can't register them." But he had a strong feeling what was there.
Conner asked, "What kind of energy?" Tommy turned to face his students, "The same kind that's in your morphers."
That surprised Kira, "You're saying there's a Dino Gem in here?" Tommy shook his head, "Not anymore… but there was."
Kira asked, "I thought you had all kinds of things that would pick up if there was a gem in here?"
Tommy realized, "Someone must have hidden it. When the cloaking device deactivated, the readings went off the scale."
Conner nodded his head in curiosity, "So, is this good news or bad news?" He wondered if there was a new ranger out there.
Tommy honestly answered, "Guess that depends on who has the gem." He had a bad feeling that the missing gem was not in good hands. If the new gem had been corrupted, Tommy feared they were in for an Evil Green Ranger situation.
Trent had arrived home from school and was walking past the office. Anton was in his office… he didn't look well, but he managed to say to his son, "Did you have a good day at school?"
Trent nodded and walked into the office to talk, "It was all right." He began to head towards his father's desk.
Anton replied, "I trust you had time to think about our earlier conversation." He rubbed his brow and did his best to keep Mesogog under control so he could finish talking to his son before his body transformed.
Trent scoffed, "Is that what it was?" Anton could hear the displeasure in Trent's voice, "I assume you're referring to the fact that you aren't, uhm, happy with the outcome."
Trent leaned against the desk and honestly replied, "I'm just not crazy about you telling me not to draw anymore."
Anton closed the book he had been reading and answered, "Trent, when your parents died, you and I agreed that I would act as your father."
Trent nodded… Anton was beginning to get dizzy but managed to say, "And fathers are sometimes forced to make decisions for their children that the children don't care for."
Trent briefly closed his eyes in frustration and shook his head, "Dad, I get that." He gave a look towards Anton and noticed something was wrong with his father, "Dad… are you all right?"
Anton knew it wouldn't be much longer for Mesogog to take control, but didn't want to worry his son, "Yes… I'm fine." He sat his book down and turned his chair away from Trent.
Anton began to loosen his tie, "As I was saying… I can only raise you the way I know how. The way I see fit. Now, all I expect from you, son, is that you abide by my rules… okay?"
Trent knew he wasn't going to win this battle today, "That's fine."
Anton was beginning to sweat profusely as Mesogog's control grew stronger, "Now go… I have work to finish."
Trent tersely answered, "Yeah, me too." He did not appreciate his father's dismissal… he was still upset and tired of all the arguments. He wished his father would listen and stop being so dismissive of his dreams.
Anton sighed in frustration as Trent walked away… he was only trying to protect his son from seeing his transformation. He hated Mesogog even more now… he realized his dark secret was damaging his relationship with Trent.
Anton rose from his chair… he looked around to make sure he was alone. Once he was certain, an invisi-portal opened behind him. Anton turned on his heel and walked towards the portal. He reached his arm towards the portal and disappeared through it.
As Anton disappeared, he had no idea that Trent had been hiding in the hallway. Trent peaked his head into the office and was shocked that his father used the strange portal. Trent knew something strange was going on with his father, and he was determined to figure it out. He was tired of all the lies and deception.
Elsa was hard at work using a grinder and trying to open the carbon infusion that contained the Dino Gem she had retrieved.
Zeltrax was looming over Elsa's shoulder, causing her to snap, "Do you mind?!"
Zeltrax could not stop staring… it was obvious the cyborg was admiring his love interest. He replied, "My apologies… I was merely admiring your work."
Elsa stopped the grinder, "Well, admire it from over there. It's hard for me to concentrate with cyborg breath all over me."
Elsa still had no clue that Zeltrax was in love with her… she could barely tolerate the cyborg and was still conflicted of her own feelings for Tommy Oliver. She had noticed that Tommy was spending more time with Kimberly, and that had set off some jealously within her. Elsa shook those thoughts out of her head and prepared to get back to work.
Mesogog arrived in the lab, wanting a progress report. He had overheard the bickering between his generals and demanded, "The news had better be good, you two."
Elsa could tell that Mesogog was getting impatient. She set down the grinder and lifted her visor as she walked towards her master, "Sir, although storing the artifact in the carbon energy formation has helped… it hasn't completely released itself."
Mesogog growled in frustration, "What are you telling me, Elsa?"
Elsa reluctantly answered knowing this would make her master upset, "We need more time."
Mesogog paced at that, "Time… time is a luxury we cannot afford." He was determined to get his prize.
Elsa tried to placate Mesogog, "Yes, well, I understand that sir. Although, I do feel as though the end result will fully justify our patience."
Mesogog began to think on Elsa's words, "Perhaps you're right. What is your solution, Elsa?"
Elsa replied, "I have managed to stimulate the final stages of the energy transmutation sequence. Well, it's only a matter of hours before its energy will join with your own."
Mesogog was pleased as he stared at the carbon formation in admiration, "Meer hours, eh?" He straightened up and prepared to leave the lab, "You have twelve."
Elsa was relieved that her master had given her more time. She put down her visor over her face and prepared to get back to work. She shoved Zeltrax away from her side, "You're in my way" and begin to grind at the carbon formation again.
Later that afternoon, Trent entered the office looking for his father, "Hello?" He looked around, but Anton was nowhere to be found.
Trent questioned to himself, "What are you up to, Dad? What's going on around here?"
Suddenly an invisi-portal opened in front of Trent. Trent let his curiosity get the best of him… he reached into the portal.
Moments later Trent found himself in Mesogog's lab. Trent was shocked and looked around the strange lab, "What is this place?"
In the center of the lab was the now newly freed, and corrupted, White Dino Gem. Trent gasped, "Whoa!" as the White Dino Gem began to glow brightly.
Trent was drawn to it… he couldn't help himself and began to walk towards the gem. His hand began to involuntary reach out towards the gem… the White Gem began to glow brighter. It was now obvious that Trent was the gem's chosen master.
The White Dino Gem was encased in its own special bracelet and began to shake as his master got closer to it. Once Trent's arm was over the gem, Trent gasped in surprise as the bracelet wrapped around his wrist.
Trent was shocked as the bracelet transformed into his new Drago morpher. Immediately, the gem began to bond with Trent. He was now under the gem's influence… it showed Trent a strange vision of a White Ranger.
The vision showed the White Ranger was powerful, but dangerous due to the gem's corruption. The gem was letting Trent know the range of his new powers… he had super speed that was similar to Conner's. The vision ended with the White Ranger flipping in the air due to an explosion.
Trent ended up flipping into the air as well and landed on the floor. The poor teen was disoriented and confused by the ordeal.
Trent managed to make his way outside and groaned as the gem continued to painfully bond with him. The gem glowed brighter, causing Trent to fall to his knees. The gem was too powerful now that it had joined with its rightful master… the gem's evil energy sparked and overtook Trent's body. The White Dino Gem now had complete control over Trent.
Elsa and Zeltrax had returned to the lab to find the White Dino Gem was missing. Elsa was furious and accused, "You did this!"
Zeltrax gave Elsa a look, "What would I do with it? What could I have to gain?"
Elsa groaned, "Ooh, I don't know. I suppose I'm just grasping at straws. Whatever the case, we need to find it."
Zeltrax asked, "How are we going to do that?" Elsa immediately began to think of a plan, "A creature… we need a creature."
Zeltrax questioned, "What kind of creature?" Elsa snapped, "It doesn't matter! We just need something fun. Fun, but frightening."
Zeltrax replied, "Would you mind telling me why?" He was a bit confused with Elsa's idea.
Elsa grew frustrated and tapped Zeltrax's head, "The gem is pure evil! Whoever is in possession of it will be wanting a battle. A conflict of any kind. They'll want to fight, and they won't be able to help themselves. We're going to give them what they want. Hopefully, this will allow us to find it before Mesogog finds us!"
Zeltrax agreed, "Good plan" Elsa just groaned and shoved the cyborg away from her. The two went to work to create their creature and hoped they could find the missing gem.
Hayley was working at the Dino Lab's computers when the alert went off. She turned her head to get Tommy's attention, "Uh, Tommy… I think we may have something."
Tommy walked up to the computers and shook his head, "Unbelievable" as the screen showed Elsa and Zeltrax's creature walking around town.
The other rangers entered the lab and turned their attention to the screens. Ethan quipped, "I guess we got here just in time."
Kira asked, "Is there any particular reason for that guy?" Tommy answered as he studied the monster, "It's hard to tell, but it seems like it's actually looking for something."
Kimberly nodded in agreement, "Yeah… it's just wandering around. That creature isn't even causing trouble."
Conner retorted, "Well, it's not going to like what it finds. Come on guys." Kira nodded, "Let's do it" as she and the boys hopped off the steps and headed into the main area of the lab. It was time for the Power Rangers to go to work.
Conner hollered, "Ready?" as he summoned his morpher. Ethan and Kira cried, "Ready!" and summoned their morphers as well. The rangers moved in unison and hollered, "Dino Thunder, Power Up!" and morphed into their suits.
The creature mumbled to himself, "Where are you?" as he continued his search for the White Ranger, when the rangers arrived on the scene.
Conner hollered, "Hey!" The creature was started and turned to face the rangers. Conner waved his arms, "Over here!" He cracked his knuckles, "Is there something we can help you with?"
The creature studied the rangers' colors and pointed his fingers at each one, "Red, Blue, Yellow. No… I'm looking for something in basic White."
Kira was confused and turned her head towards Conner, "Do you have any clue what he's talking about?"
Conner shrugged, "None" But the rangers knew this monster needed to be stopped and got into defensive positions.
Creature hollered, "Fire!" and fired a powerful yellow beam from his hands. The rangers flipped backwards trying to avoid the explosion.
The rangers got back on their feet and gasped in surprise as a white blur rushed past them. A pair of white boots could barely be seen, as the blur rushed and began attacking Creature.
The blur was really the White Ranger. He grabbed his weapon, as Creature gasped, "Huh?! Whoa, what's going on?!"
The rangers were shocked as the white blur continued to attack the monster. Conner exclaimed, "What's that?" as Kira shook her head, "I don't know."
Creature suddenly exploded from the force of the attack. The rangers couldn't believe their eyes… whatever attacked the monster was incredibly powerful. Once Creature was destroyed, the white blur sped away from the scene.
Back at the Dino Lab Tommy, Hayley, and Kimberly had seen everything on the screens. They were shocked as well.
Conner spoke into his morpher, "You guys saw that, right?" Tommy nodded as he replied, "Yeah… we're still trying to figure out what it was."
Conner knew that they needed to figure this mystery out, "We'll try to follow it… come on."
Tommy, Hayley, and Kimberly just gave a look at each other… they knew something was up and hoped that the young rangers could handle the situation.
The rangers followed the path the blur had taken… they looked around the area hoping they could find the mysterious blur.
Conner replied, "Should be around here somewhere." Ethan exclaimed, "I don't see anything!"
A dark voice cried, "Look harder." The White Ranger emerged from the shadows to reveal himself.
Kira gasped, "Whoa!" as she turned. The rangers were shocked to find a new ranger on the scene.
The White Ranger's suit was similar to the other rangers. It was solid white with black stripes, with a black and white chest plate. On his hip, instead of a blaster, he had the Drago Sword at his side. His helmet was different from the others… it declared him master of the Dragozord and had a sinister looking red visor.
Kira asked in curiosity as she stared at the new ranger, "Who is it?" Ethan griped, "And how come he gets the phat helmet?"
Conner questioned into his morpher, "This guy a friend of yours, Dr. O?"
Tommy answered as he stared at the screen, "Never saw him before." He was just as surprised as the others on this new ranger's arrival.
Conner replied, "Okay" and began to walk towards the White Ranger.
The White Ranger warned, "Don't come any closer. You'll force me to do something I don't want to do."
Even though it was Trent in the suit, the voice of the White Ranger was dark and sinister. This wasn't Trent speaking now… this was Drago, the evil White Ranger.
Conner stopped at the warning, "What do you mean by that?" He did not like the new ranger's tone.
Drago coolly replied, "Let me show you." He pulled out his sword from his holster, "White Drago Sword" He twirled his weapon around, and with a flick of his wrist, energy arrows appeared in the air around him.
Drago ordered, "Laser Arrows" and turned the arrows towards the other rangers. The rangers gasped as Drago cried, "Fire!" and aimed the arrows at them.
The rangers groaned in pain as Drago's arrows attacked them. All three were knocked backwards and landed on the ground.
Conner managed to sit up and gave a glare towards Drago, "Was that really necessary?!"
Drago declared, "That was just a warning" and disappeared from the scene.
Afterwards, Mesogog had discovered the White Dino Gem was missing and that there was a new evil ranger on the loose.
He was furious with Elsa and Zeltrax… the two groaned in pain as their master used his psionic powers to punish them for their failure.
Elsa groaned, "Again, let me express how sorry we are." Mesogog did not let up on his punishment and growled, "I'm not interested in how sorry you are. I'm only interested in how you plan to fix it."
Zeltrax managed to speak through the pain, "We're formulating a plan, my lord."
Mesogog released his hold on his two simpering generals, "Well… it had better be ingenious. Because somewhere out there is my future… the future of our planet. And in the end, the future of the two of you. And right now, none of them looks very bright." He growled to punctuate his warning.
Back at the Dino Lab, Tommy and Hayley were analyzing the data they had gotten on the new White Ranger. They hoped they could figure out the White Ranger's identity.
Tommy asked Hayley, "Nothing yet?" Hayley sighed as she shook her head, "Nothing. I can't get any sort of reading on his genetic makeup. It's like the ranger powers bonded with his own DNA, and it's all jumbled into one."
Kimberly sighed… this was eerily familiar, "Damn it, this reminds me when you first became the Evil Green Ranger, Tommy." Tommy gave Kimberly a grave look… it sure appeared that way.
Ethan hollered, "Hey!" as he and the others returned. They were still in their suits but were holding their helmets in their arms.
Kira asked, "How's it going?" as she and the boys joined their mentors at the monitors.
The monitors sounded the alert, and the rangers saw that the White Ranger had returned to town.
Ethan groaned, "Oh, great… he's back." Kira rolled her eyes and quipped, "And looking for more trouble, no doubt."
Tommy turned to face his students, "You guys better get over there. Make sure he doesn't go completely medieval on any civilians."
The rangers nodded in agreement as Conner replied, "Good thinking. Let's go!" They quickly put their helmets back on and headed back to town to stop their new enemy.
The rangers were able to find the White Ranger easily. Conner hollered to get his attention, "Hey! Back so soon?" He clenched his fist in anger, "I thought you made your point last time!"
Drago turned to face the rangers, "I've only just started." He raised his arms in a "come at me" motion, "You want some more?"
The rangers charged forward. Drago shook his head, "Fools!" He grabbed his weapon and rushed to head off the rangers' attack.
Drago easily blew blast Kira and Ethan, landing hard strikes on their suits. Conner blocked off Drago's initial attack with his arm, but Drago was able to get a strong grip on his arm. Drago quickly spun Conner around, and shoved him to the ground.
Kira and Ethan rushed at the White Ranger again, but Drago easily blocked their attacks. He leaped away from them and cried, "Come on!" as he used his Drago Sword to summon his laser arrows.
The laser arrows struck at the rangers and exploded all around them. The rangers groaned in pain, as the explosions caused them to flip in the air and viciously land on the ground.
Drago replied, "Weaklings!" He laughed as he saw the rangers slowly rise to their feet.
Drago then crouched into a run and tapped into his super speed. The rangers cried, "Whoa!" as Drago used his speed on them. As he attacked, Drago marked each ranger with an energy X on their chest.
Once he was done, Drago flipped away from the others and landed in a crouch with his back turned away. He quipped, "That's got to hurt" as his energy targets exploded on the rangers.
The rangers groaned in pain and landed on their stomachs. All they could do was stare as the White Ranger rose to his feet and taunted, "Too easy!"
Conner slowly rose to his feet and asked, "All right, what's the deal? We tried to be nice… just extending a little ranger love, and this is what we get?"
Drago ominously replied, "I'm not here to make friends."
Conner demanded, "Then what is it?! What do you want?" He wanted an explanation on why the White Ranger so viciously attacked them.
Drago answered as he turned to face the rangers, "That isn't something you need to know. All that's important right now is there are 3 rangers too many. And I'm here to change that."
Conner gave his new rival a dirty look and challenged, "Go for it!"
Drago drew his weapon and charged, and the other rangers got into defensive positions and rushed forward as well.
Drago struck Ethan and Kira with one strike of his sword. He managed to get a grip on Conner and landed a hard strike on his side.
Kira and Ethan rushed at the White Ranger again, but Drago easily blocked them with his sword. Ethan used his legs to try to swipe Drago off his feet, but Drago easily used the momentum to flip away.
The rangers regrouped and rushed forward in their anger. Drago twirled around and landed hard strikes on each ranger, batting them away from him and knocking them back onto the ground.
Drago laughed seeing how easily he bested the other rangers, "That should do it."
The rangers groaned as they tried to get their bearings. Kira glared and quipped at the White Ranger, "You think we're just going to walk away?!"
Ethan was angry now and pulled out his blaster, "Not going to happen!" Kira pulled out her blaster as well, and she and Ethan fired their blasters toward the evil ranger.
Drago just put up his sword to block the attack and caused the blaster energy to backfire on Ethan and Kira.
Conner cried, "No!" as the blaster energy exploded on his friends. Kira and Ethan landed on their stomachs and struggled to get up. Conner rushed to their side in concern. He gently shook his friends to get them to stand, "Guys!"
Ethan managed to rise to his feet and shoved Conner away from him. He was beyond furious at this new ranger and grabbed at his blaster again, "All right, party time's over!"
Ethan was about to fire when Tommy arrived, fully morphed, on the scene. Tommy hollered, "Wait! Don't!" and grabbed at Ethan to stop him.
Ethan was shocked that Dr. O was stopping him, "What's the matter?!" He struggled as Tommy tried to take his blaster away.
Tommy managed to get Ethan to bring down his blaster, "We don't know what he's capable of. He's got powers we might not be able to deal with."
Tommy cautiously waved his hands at the White Ranger, "We don't want to hurt you. Just tell us why you're here."
Drago slightly turned his body and pondered, "Why am I here? Let me see…" He arched his head, "To defeat you."
Ethan cried, "That does it!" and he and Kira rushed forward in their anger. Tommy cried in vain after his students, "Wait! No!"
Ethan and Kira pulled out their sabers, but Drago easily blocked their blows. Drago struck several blows with his sword at the blue and yellow ranger with ease.
The blows knocked Ethan and Kira off the building rooftop, and they fell onto the parking level below. The two rangers landed with a vicious thud. Drago followed them and landed with ease, "Nice flight?"
Ethan and Kira rose to their feet. Ethan clenched his fist in anger, "He's going to pay for that!"
Kira tried to strike with her bare hands, but Drago easily blocked her blows and batted her away. Ethan tried next, but Drago spun and landed a hard kick on his stomach. Ethan ended up flying into a nearby parked car.
Kira kicked and punched at the White Ranger, but Drago got a firm grip on her arm and shoved her away. Kira ended up landing next to Ethan.
Drago cried, "Pathetic… you're no match for me" and stalked towards Ethan and Kira.
Kira leaned against the car and nervously replied, "Ethan… thoughts?"
Ethan got his bearings and summoned his primary weapon, "Got it covered. Tricera Shield!" Kira nodded in agreement and summoned her weapons as well, "Good call! Ptera Grips!"
Kira and Ethan leaped at the White Ranger with their weapons. But Drago casually threw up his arm and let the blue and yellow rangers' weapons strike his morpher.
Ethan and Kira groaned as Drago's morpher began to absorb their morphing energy.
Drago laughed as Ethan cried, "He's too strong" and Kira groaned, "I can't take it!" They literally felt their powers weakening on them.
Drago allowed his morpher to release its hold, and backhanded Ethan and Kira with his sword.
The blow was so powerful that it caused Kira and Ethan to backflip in the air. They landed on the ground with a vicious thud… their powers failing and reverting them back into their civilian clothes.
Kira had landed on her stomach, and slowly raised herself up, "Okay, that wasn't what I had in mind."
Ethan had landed on his back but managed to roll over. He clutched at his chest, "Looks like game over."
Kira defiantly replied, "Not yet." She wasn't about to let the White Ranger get the best of her and her friends.
Tommy arrived on the scene and saw the state that Ethan and Kira were in. He hollered in concern, "Kira! Ethan!"
Drago turned to face Tommy, "Bring it!" Tommy was furious for what Drago had done to his students. He grabbed his staff and charged at the evil ranger.
Drago brought up his morpher again and allowed Tommy's staff to strike him, "I'll take yours too."
Tommy groaned as his powers began to drain. Drago used the energy hold to raise Tommy up in the air, "Now go!" He released his hold and used his weapon to strike at Tommy's mid-section.
Tommy groaned in pain as he landed on the ground. The force of the impact caused him to de-morph. Tommy sure felt that impact… he let out another groan as he clutched at his chest.
Conner arrived on the scene and leapt at the White Ranger. Drago was taken by surprise, and Conner knocked him into a nearby barrier.
Drago growled at the red ranger in anger as he rose to his feet. Conner demanded, "I want some answers! Now!"
Drago charged at Conner and brought his leg up for a kick. Conner managed to grab Drago's leg and held the rogue ranger in place, "You're messing with the wrong dude. I'm giving you one last chance!"
Drago managed to get out of Conner's hold. He grabbed his sword and landed two powerful strikes on Conner's chest.
Conner flew backwards and crashed into a nearby stone barrier. The force was enough to cause Conner's powers to fail. Conner groaned and just clutched at his chest in pain.
Drago loomed over the fallen red ranger, "You were saying?"
The other rangers were still in a lot of pain but managed to make their way to Conner's side. Tommy grabbed Conner's jacket, and helped him to his feet.
Tommy asked in concern, "You all right?" Conner groaned, but managed to nod, "Yeah… I think so."
Drago menacingly pointed his sword at them, "You've been warned, Power Rangers. Stay out of my way or be destroyed."
The rangers gave the White Ranger defiant looks as he turned his back on them. To their surprise, Drago left them alone and disappeared from the scene. Tommy gave his students a grave look, "Guys, we've got big trouble."
The rangers managed to make their way back to the Dino Lab. They had never faced a foe like the White Ranger before, and it was a demoralizing defeat for them.
The rangers sat on the steps by the monitors and began to talk. Ethan was shocked, "It wasn't supposed to go this way, was it?"
Tommy ruefully shook his head, "An evil White Ranger? No… of course it's been known to happen."
Kimberly walked towards the group and gave Tommy a pointed look, "Don't remind me… I did have to deal with a certain Evil Green Ranger during my ranger days. Tommy… I hate to say this, but this White Ranger may be worse than you were."
Kira asked, "So, what do we do?" She knew the White Ranger needed to be stopped, but after the way he so easily defeated them, she knew this was going to be a challenge.
Conner questioned, "How are we supposed to fight him if we can't get near him?"
Tommy rose to his feet and replied, "We figure out who this is and what he wants… before it's too late."
The rangers nodded in agreement. They were determined to stop the White Ranger… they had no clue that their new enemy was really Trent.
Tommy sent his students home to recuperate from the fight. Hayley had to return to her café but gave Kimberly a knowing smile as she left. She could tell that Tommy and Kimberly were back together and decided to give them some privacy. She was happy that her best friend wasn't going to be alone during this difficult situation.
The couple went upstairs and headed to the living room. They sat down on the sofa, and Kimberly began to rub Tommy's shoulders, "Are you okay, handsome? I don't like seeing you like this."
Tommy sighed, "Kim… I'm worried. This White Ranger is powerful, and extremely dangerous. The White Ranger's powers had to been corrupted. In my initial research, I learned that if a Dino Gem is corrupted it would cause the powers to be turned to evil. In effect, the Dino Gem's chosen master would be turned evil as well."
Kimberly replied, "If the White Dino Gem is corrupted, then it's possible the White Ranger may not be in true control of his powers."
Tommy scoffed, "Well, he's a quick learner. It has to be changing him… he won't be able to stop himself. Once the gem takes complete control, there's no turning back… they'll be under the gem's evil spell forever. We have to figure out who this is."
Kimberly gave Tommy a reassuring kiss, "You will, handsome. You and the kids will figure this out. And I'm not leaving your side… you know I have experience dealing with evil rangers, and I know what's it like to be turned evil myself."
Tommy softly laughed, "You know I wouldn't be the man I am today if you and our friends hadn't saved me. I hate to admit it, but the White Ranger is more dangerous than I ever was. I just hope we can stop him."
Kimberly gently held Tommy's hand and pleaded with her eyes, "Please be careful… I don't know why, but I still fear something is going to happen. I barely got you back, and I don't want to lose you again."
Tommy pulled Kimberly in closer to him and gently cupped her face, "You're not going to lose me. I'm going to do my best to make sure that nothing happens to me or the kids."
Kimberly quipped, "You better… powers or no powers, the White Ranger will have to deal with my wrath if he hurts you."
Tommy chuckled as he teased, "Yeah, no one wants to deal with the original Pink Ranger's wrath. And I remember what a handful you were when you were turned evil… you were terrifying."
Kimberly rolled her eyes as she playfully swatted Tommy's chest, "Look who's talking, mister… you were just as bad as I was. That evil laugh of yours creeped me out."
Tommy rolled his eyes as well and pulled Kimberly into another kiss. Kimberly laughed into the kiss, but she was happy to cheer up Tommy after such a difficult day. Tommy deepened the kiss, and things quickly got passionate between the couple. Despite things looking so bleak, Tommy and Kimberly were grateful that they had each other's love and support. They had to be strong for each other and for their students… especially since life was about throw some major challenges towards the Power Rangers.
Cassidy and Devin had left the news studio. They were heading down an outdoor stairwell and Devin noticed that Cassidy was still grinning from ear to ear.
Devin asked, "What are you so happy about?" He knew that they had a taken an almost impossible assignment.
Cassidy didn't care, she was just so excited at the chance of getting on live TV, "You heard him… I'm going to be the lead story!"
Devin decided to be the voice of reason, "No! What I heard was you need to find the identity of one of the Power Rangers." He gripped her shoulders to make her understand, "Look, you've never even been near one. So, how do you think-"
Cassidy's eyes went wide as she saw the White Ranger stumble onto the scene, "Dev!"
Devin noticed the look on his friend's face, "What?" and turned his head to see what Cassidy was staring at. He was stunned to see the White Ranger stumbling down a nearby stairwell, "Whoa… I didn't know they came in white."
Devin gasped as Cassidy pushed him forward. The two friends immediately began to follow the White Ranger.
The White Ranger headed into a bike rack area… he did not look good. He stumbled onto his stomach and transformed back into Trent.
Trent groaned and slowly rose to his feet. He dusted his jeans off… he was still a bit dazed but began to walk away.
Cassidy and Devin arrived and crashed into Trent. The group was startled for a second, but Cassidy quickly asked Trent, "Did you see him? Did he come his way?"
Trent was slightly confused by Cassidy's words and still trying to get his bearings, "Who?"
Cassidy replied, "A White Ranger… he was here. I know it!"
Trent shook his head, "Nah, I didn't see anybody." He was still trying to figure out what happened to him.
Cassidy couldn't believe it, "Hello?! How could you not?" as Trent shrugged his shoulders. Cassidy stomped away in frustration, "Oh, whatever!" She was not happy that she missed the White Ranger.
Devin patted Trent's arm apologetically, "Sorry, dude… see ya!" and followed Cassidy. Trent could hear Cassidy groan, "Oh, Devin… he's gone!"
Trent leaned against the nearby wall in exhaustion… he knew his body had been through an ordeal. Whatever happened to him, Trent knew it wasn't good. His memory was still fuzzy, but Trent would eventually get his memory back of the things he did as the Evil White Ranger.
