4. Ch 2 - Quiet Kid meets Tough Girl

Lincoln Loud, Quiet Kid - Chapter 2 (Quiet Kid meets Tough Girl)

AN: This one is an AU where Lincoln Loud is labeled as the certain cliche/trope called "The Quiet Kid". This may contain dark, comedic or mature themes not suitable for kids. Discretion and/or Parental Involvement/Adult Supervision might be advised. As per rule of AU/FanFics, there will be some, if not little to no similarities to the canon continuity. So, for those who are weary of bad episodes like NSL, things will be different… I can assure you. It may or may not happen, same with the "Movie", or the Newer Seasons of TLH/TC. And I don't plan on rehashing what is written in Canon… rather, there will be certain chapters that doesn't follow the canon seasons from beginning to the recent. This may appear as a rehash of what the Canon is but with Lincoln having the personality trait of the "Quiet One" (Just search of Kiyotaka Ayanokoji in Google).

A lovely morning yet spent on another school day. Bummer, but that's how students must roll. Thus, another school time with the dubbed "Quiet Kid". Lincoln Loud, had entered the school premises and readies himself for the upcoming lessons. But somewhere hidden from his sights, a certain Latina girl is waiting. Stalking and waiting for something, smirking as if a scheme had been placed and ready for something. Behind her came along two more girls, with orange-blonde hair while brunette for the other.

"Well, someone's having fun today? Another one of that garbage in locker pranks?" the brunette said. "I bet it is Cookie, that's Santiago's usual routine. Haven't you got used to it by now?" the orange-haired girl said to the now revealed Cookie [Cookie QT]. "Oh, pipe down both of you. Where's Freilich? She should see this one, Rosato. He won't suspect a thing!", the Latina, Santiago [Ronnie Anne] said to the girl named Rosato [Girl Jordan].

"Well, at least we know that we won't get bored seeing another poor sap fall to your 'Tough Girl' antics. So, who's the latest victim of the week?", Rosato/Girl Jordan asked. "Oh, you know… some lame white-haired kid that doesn't talk too much.", Santiago/Ronnie Anne revealed… as suddenly the two girls with the Latina felt chills to their skin. It is as if fear and death's icy grip possessed them. "Did you just say… a white-haired kid that doesn't talk?", Cookie QT asked. "That's what I said, yes? I think his name was Lincoln Loud. I think I know of a Loud before, like my brother's girlfriend. Lorraine (It's Lori) I think?", Ronnie Anne said. Both girls then shivered in cold sweat as their fears just confirmed itself.

"I'm calling Mollie and the rest of the girls. Santiago, whatever you're planning, don't! Stop it now before it's too late!", Rosato/Girl Jordan begged. "What!? Come on, now you girls care for an unsuspecting loser? It's no fun messing with the same sap like Chandler who was absent for an entire week. Besides, what could go bad… he doesn't look tough.", Santiago/Ronnie Anne boasts. "I'd leave Lincoln Loud in peace if I were you. There's a reason why we never, ever, ever, I mean, never tick the 'Quiet Kid'. He's the reason Chandler McCann was absent for a week now, and not you. Oh, heavens pray for his poor soul… taken too early… despite deserving." Cookie worriedly said. "Overreacting much? What can an introvert do to me? He looks weak!", the Latina once more boasts, not heeding to the warnings.

Rosato then speed dialed the Mortician's club, asked to schedule a funeral rite. Cookie dialed their other girl group and spread the words of what Ronnie Anne is about to do to the Quiet Kid, which left them all worried… understatement, maybe even terrified!

But seriously, what happened to this Chandler McCann person? Well, I can do a flashback which nobody except Lincoln would know about… nor they'd be aware but us two.

-Flashback time-

I was another bright and sunny day 7-8 days ago (a week, like they've said) that Chandler McCann, son of the sewage plant tycoon and almost filthy rich (pun intended), bumped into the twins of the Loud family, Lola and Lana. Although Lana being the grease monkey, admires Chandler for his dad's job… Lola, on the other hand, would want nothing to do with dirty businesses (pun intended) and would rather keep herself prim and proper. Lola complained to her upperclassman about keeping herself clean and to watch where he was going… but to no effect.

Chandler McCann, you see… can be a bit of a jerk. Cold and harsh, he paid the complaint of the Loud princess-wannabe with mockery and snickering. Lola's ire grew, motivating her to retaliate but the goons behind the McCann boy assisted in toying with her. Shoving her like ping-pong, she was moved from boy to boy and Lana tried to help Lola out, but she knew full well that they are outmatched. One final shove and Lana caught Lola before she could tumble on the floor and hurt herself, at the verge of tears. The goons laughed at the sight but soon died down as each boy were knocked out (by a neck-nerve chop), unbeknownst by Chandler. He felt a light tap at his shoulders and was grabbed by the collar before he could make a full turn to realize who was behind him.

Lincoln Loud, the elder brother of the twins, dragged Chandler by the locker and stared at him… cold, emotionless, and yet menacingly gazing at the jerk's eyes. There were no words to speak as Lincoln already knew what the twins are going to complain about. All he needed was the view of Lola and Lana's tears… Big Brother Instincts took over and he leaned close to Chandler's ears… whispering.

"If I were to murder you in your sleep, at the cold, dark silence of the night, I doubt anyone would take notice… and I doubt they'd find a body. It'll be a month before they realize you're missing. So, scram away if you want to live… and never mess with my family again… AND TELL NO ONE."

The last one was slow yet frightening… enough to be remembered that it'll haunt his nightmares. Chandler never again went near to anyone related to Lincoln. And he chose to be home-schooled for those days he was absent… out of fear of retaliation. A mental restraining order forced him to confront his paranoia of the so called 'Quiet Kid'.

-Flashback End-

So now you know why he was gone for a while, let's go back to the current situation. Lincoln was about to open his locker, but he notices a few things… a putrid-smelling scent from within and his locker door was pushing outward, as if the contents filled the cabinet to the brim. He was about to open the locker as Clyde approached him. "Something wrong, Link?", Clyde asked. Lincoln nodded and signaled him to stand aside as he prepares to open and dodge the upcoming contents. Once Lincoln did, a pile of garbage was released from the locker. Luckily, Lincoln haven't placed anything yet in his supposedly empty locker, lest it'll be mixed with the rest of the waste products. "Who'd put trash in your… Oh, no… I think I know what's going on.", Clyde uttered. The rest of the kids who witnessed the event are now at awe and fear, praying for whoever is the poor soul that messed with the 'Quiet Kid'. Someone offered to help and call the janitor to sort the mess, out of fear that Lincoln ire may be directed upon them. And so, they did… sorting the organic from inorganic, the janitor asked Lincoln to use a spare locker as he and the other kids clean the place up. Lincoln nodded in acceptance.

Meanwhile, the girls have arrived, and they are not pleased with Santiago had done. "You've gone and done it now, Ronalda. If he finds out about your antics… Which he will, I'd rather save my skin and cut you off by now.", Rosato/Girl Jordan said. "YOU FREAKING IDIOT! DO YOU HAVE A DUCKING DEATH WISH, SANTIAGO!?", a brown-skinned girl reprimanded the Latina. "Calm down, Brownie. It's not like he'll find out anyway. Besides, why are you so worried about that quiet nerd anyway?", Ronnie Anne Santiago asked. "Ronalda Anne Santiago, there's a reason why 'Quiet Kids' are not to be messed with. I've heard stories but when there's a fire alarm and smoke is found everywhere… we never take the exit. We look for windows or the emergency escape.", another brunette said. "What's that supposed to mean, Freilich?", the Latina questioned. "Don't you get it!? School shooting, Accidental fires that are actually acts of arson, Missing kids and bullies… it all relates to one thing. Ticking off or messing with the 'Quiet Kid'!", Freilich said to Ronnie. "Calm down, Mollie. If Lincoln hasn't figured it out yet, maybe we can still save our skin, right?", the brown-skinned [Brownie QT] girl said. "Just… please. Whatever pranks you have set up to Lincoln, disarm them and stop them now! Before you have us all killed.", Freilich/Mollie begged. "Pfftt… You guys are just being dramatic. There's no way he's that bad. He looks so weak anyway. I doubt he could do anything to my plans.", Ronnie Anne said, ignoring the warnings of her friends. A goth girl then held to a Bible, a cross and a paper that said 'FUNERAL RITES' and said, "Well… I better start choosing a casket. Club, please reserve a priest if we ever get her corpse. Poor unfortunate soul… hopefully we can preserve her body unlike Chandler's."

[She doesn't know that Chandler's alive. She just assumed they couldn't find his body, so the Mortician's club made a small gravesite with Chandler's photo on it, for him despite still living. Yes… that's Haiku… no last name yet. Some other last names are based on the members that made the series possible (such as Rosato & Freilich).]

Back to Lincoln and Clyde, the African-American boy is explaining to Lincoln on what is happening and why he is being targeted by a series of pranks. "That girl… Ronnie Anne is the 'Tough Girl' of this school. She tends to make pranks or beat up those weaker than her. That's her reputation, kinda your opposite. She's more physical and no one dared to mess with her. And right now, she thinks of you as her next target for her pranks.", Clyde explained which earned the skepticism of the quiet boy. Honestly, Lincoln had never done anything to her to be her target… but that's human nature, isn't it? Often there will be people out there that will mess you up for no apparent reason other than for their entertainment.

Somehow, a montage of Ronnie's pranks continued. Before class ended, she tied Lincoln's laces together. Unfortunately, Lincoln remained unfazed and knew it all along which is why he removed them and walked to the next class with only his socks as he unties the laces. In lunch period, he noticed a whoopee cushion and removed it before sitting down. Remaining unfazed, he ate his lunch and Clyde saw him holding the whoopee cushion, jokingly pressing it to make flatulent sounds… with Lincoln remaining unamused. Seeing that all of her attempts have failed, she planned her final prank… de-pants him while he hasn't noticed. But she must ensure that his friend, Clyde will not be there to see it. Lincoln heads to his current locker after his old one gets sanitized first. Once he readies to take his effects and pack them for leaving, Ronnie sneaks behind Lincoln ready to pull down his pants… and like others… failed. Lincoln's pants are tight enough to hold on to his waist. And there's actually a belt to keep it steady too! The quiet boy felt tug on his pants and looked to see the Latina struggling to pull… BUSTED!

"Eh… heh heh… tight pants?", The Latina nervously chuckles after she got caught. Lincoln then leaned close to Ronnie's ears and said, "Meet me at my place, at 3:30 post meridian. Do it or you'll be a goner by the nightfall and no one's going to know."

That… was… well, scary. Lincoln finished packing and then left to meet up with his [currently] only friend. Once the white-haired child is gone, Ronnie's friends worriedly appeared. "What did he say to you?", Rosato/Girl Jordan asked. "He told me to meet him at his place by 3:30 pm, but I don't get the part that he said that I'm a goner by nightfall.", Ronnie mentioned. Well, now the rest of the girls grew paler than Lincoln's hair.

"Welp… it was nice knowing you Santiago."

"If anyone ask, we're not involved with you."

"Thanks for nothing, Santiago. Either I'll have to move out or change my face thanks to you"

"I'll see your family at the funeral then."

A few girls gave their complaint [including a Caucasian doppelganger] as they leave. A few girls remained to the young Latina, offering her some advice. "I'd say she's doomed, but maybe it's not yet too late. You can still apologize and maybe he'll forget that this ever happened.", Freilich/Mollie said to Ronnie while shaking her. "Why are you all insistent about this whole 'Quiet Kid' cliche? Like come on!", Ronnie angrily acclaimed. "If only you know where the Mortician's club kept a monumental gravestone of Chandler, you'd actually apologize.", Girl Jordan revealed. "Wait, what? What's that mean?", Ronnie questioned. "We've made that thing because Chandler went missing and we've presumed him to be dead for a week. The teachers, the principal, even his dad refused to give a detail. No, it's not because of you… but he messed with Lincoln's younger sisters. His goons won't even divulge anything and every time we mention our resident 'Quiet Kid' they all whimper in fear as if they had a terrible nightmare.", Cookie stated.

Ronnie is starting to have cold sweat about this revelation. "That can't be right! Why did nobody even reported?", Ronnie said. "And who's going to believe? That a boy so quiet that he won't even harm a fly could do such terror? Even adults would think of it as 'children's prank' and brush it off as false report. Believe me when I say, you better state your last will and testament or work on your apology if you want to live.", Brownie countered. "In any case, I think you should meet him. We don't want him to get any mad as he is.", Girl Jordan suggested. It seems that the Latina had no choice but to accept but she's going to need a chaperone to witness whatever is going to happen… or a bodyguard to keep her safe. She may be the 'Tough Girl', but she's still a human who knows. Fear.

Back to Lincoln, he made it back to his home and had Clyde go home. He was ready to mind his business, obeyed his parents and thrown the trash outside. He took Lily and gave her the attention she needed while Lori is busy at her phone, yet again. Once Lily is pacified, Lincoln sets her in the crib within Lisa's room and prepares his homework in his room. He was about to begin when suddenly…

"LINCOLN! COME HERE THIS INSTANT! WE'RE LITERALLY HAVING THIS TALK RIGHT NOW!"

Once heard, every Loud sister stopped on what they are doing and joined into the conversation, prompting a sibling meeting in Lori's room. The topic of the matter is…

"What do you want with me, woman?", Lincoln asked.

"Lincoln, please tell me you forgave Ronnie already?!", Lori asked which Lincoln only responded with a raised eyebrow. Lori took this as a worst-case scenario while the sole brother wondered on how Lori found out about his pursuer. "Dude! Lors, what is the buzz?", Luna asked. "Lincoln please, whatever she had done, accept her apology!", Lori begged. "Like, why Lori? Was Linky in trouble?", Leni asked. "Lincoln! Please answer me. Is it true that you're being picked on!? Ronnie Anne, of all people?", Lori desperately asked.

"Wait, he was? Let me at 'em! I'll show them what happens if you picked on one of us!", Lynn/LJ encouraged. "Who in their right mind would dare pick on Lincoln?", Lola wondered. "It must be one of those troublemakers who think that quiet people are weak people.", Lana remarked. "Alright, I'd deal with this bully!", LJ preparing her sports gear in belief that she can take care of her brother's problem. "You all forget our brother could handle this himself despite his quiet and stoic nature.", Lucy added. "Dude, even so, they need to learn not to boo on a Loud like us.", Luna suggested while holding her guitar in a melee pike position. "I can think of all the pranks I'm going to do to that bully to scare him away for messing with one of us", Luan gave her suggestion. It seems that they're in shambles again just for the news of their brother being picked on.

"Enough! All of you can literally shut it! Besides, Ronnie is a girl! She's my boyfriend's little sister!", Lori then commanded as she smacks her flipper like a mallet in the courtroom. They all sat in silence from the information they heard. "Whoa, really. That changes a lot of thing bro!", Luna spoke. "It sounds romantic already.", Lola describes. Now it was Lincoln that got confused on this sudden paradigm shift. Only Leni, Lucy, somehow LJ and Lisa aren't changing. "Normally, it's a ridiculous notion to assume that when a girl picks on a boy, it was to express romantic interest. But this is the modern era, I could be wrong, and this was her way of expressing she had a crush on you.", Lisa theorized. "Wait, really? How come when me and the team does it, it doesn't work?", LJ asked the genius.

"Stop it, all of you! This isn't about us, it's about Lincoln!", Lori ordered once more before turning to her brother to interrogate him. "I heard from Bobby that both of you literally planned to meet up with her here at 3:30 PM. Whatever it is, please make up. I don't want my boyfriend to think I'll hate him for what Ronnie did. Pretty please, Lincoln?", Lori requested, and Lincoln sighed in acceptance. Few hours later, A tall, Hispanic teen appeared new the Loud residence as Lori and Lincoln went out for 3:30 PM.

"Babe! It's good to see you! I wish this could have been a better time but please don't hate me for what my sister did to your brother.", the Hispanic teen requested. "Boo-Boo-Bear, It's okay! I'm literally not mad at you.", Lori told her Hispanic boyfriend. "Well, Nie-Nie, what do you have to say for yourself?", the Hispanic brother scolded Ronnie. "I… I'm sorry. I'm really sorry! I didn't mean those pranks. I just wanted to get your attention. Truth is… I… kinda… liked you.", Ronnie said yet the quiet boy is quite unconvinced. "Ronnie, I don't think he's convinced. Please do something.", the Hispanic teen desperately requested his little sister. "What do you want me to do, Bobby? Kiss him so that he'll be convinced?", Ronnie rebutted but she was just given the look at her brother, as if saying 'Anything is better as long as it works'. The Latina surrendered and kissed Lincoln straight to his lips. A French kind of kiss, from the cheesy romantic television novels. After that, both broke away and both Lori and Bobby awed in the sight. Even the sisters, who are watching from the window, are surprised of the turn of events. "So… can we at least be friends?", Ronnie asked.

"Fine… forgiven.", Lincoln said clearly. Both Lori and her boyfriend, Bobby cheered as the two made up. And, they plan to celebrate once the weekend comes, for the new blossoming relationship of both Lincoln and Ronnie, the Quiet Kid and the Tough Girl of Royal Woods Elementary School. Once the crisis had been averted, Ronnie and Bobby bid farewell to the Loud siblings as they waved back. "Well, it literally looks like Luna was right. She does kinda like you… Don't worry, little brother. Bobby and I may one day plan to marry and you two might become in-laws but there is a such thing as double in-laws. So you two can still pursue your relationship with each other.", Lori explained before going back inside as the sisters returned to their routine. Lincoln remained at the front porch contemplating on the events that transpire.

-What really happened, flashback-

At the Santiago household, Ronnie hurried home to find her brother, Bobby [full name: Roberto Alejandro Martinez-Milan Luis Casagrande Santiago Jr.] was using his phone, possibly texting Lori while their mother [name: Maria Casagrande nee Santiago (divorced)] is still at work as the nurse of the local hospital. Panicking, Ronnie rushed to Bobby's room asking him to chaperone for her when meeting Lincoln at 3:30PM. The Latino brother wondered why she asked him of such request and wondered if she is in deep trouble. He accepted as he wanted to be the responsible brother while their mother is gone, although Ronnie does most of the household duties as Bobby tends to be clumsy.

"So where exactly are we going? It must be so important that you had to ask me to join.", Bobby exclaimed. "Well… kinda. Truth is, I might have pranked someone I liked too much that he might get the wrong impression… Worse is that he ends up making me his enemy than a friend.", Ronnie explained. "Yeesh, I did tell you to tone down the jokes. But I'm sure he'll forgive you if you just confront him. So, what's he like?", Bobby asked. The young Latina explained that some of her friends are afraid of him for some kind of negative reputation like… violent tendency but also explained that he's an overprotective brother to his sisters. Bobby saw this temper issue as some kind of red flag but liked the part of his family-oriented mindset. Ronnie continued that he also tends to be too quiet and reserved but only act when provoked or it was necessary, which confused her brother about the description. The last she told is that he had such lusciously silky white-hair, freckled face, orange shirt with blue jeans. Somehow, Bobby felt a semblance of familiarity so he asked the name.

"Uh… I think it was… oh, Loud. Yeah, that's his last name… Loud. Lincoln, I think.", Ronnie said as that was the last piece of the puzzle. Bobby now realized who is the boy his sister is referring to. It was the younger brother of his girlfriend, Lori. Lincoln Loud, the description fits well as he often see her posts with her brother (often with such monotonous face, rarely ever smiling). Now, Bobby felt shaken as… he is now afraid that his girlfriend would take offence that her brother was the target of Ronnie's pranks. He now hurried to call Lori and notify her that he and his sister are arriving at their home.

-Flashback end-

Thus, the events came to pass and things went back to normal. Lincoln… are you… You're having an internal monologue… Yup, he's definitely having an internal monologue. It's best that we leave him alone for now.

Lincoln's Thought Monologue: Unfortunately, Ronnie… I never once thought of you being friends with me… Not you, not my sisters, not my parents, not Clyde… All you people are tools to me… It doesn't matter how it's done. Nor that it matters what I have to give up. I'll get what I want and that's everything… As long as I get my peace and win in the end… That's all that matters.

-Chapter 2: Quiet Kid meets Tough Girl END-

Chandler McCann had returned to Royal Woods Elementary along with his goons. Some kids are surprised of his return as some of them assumed that he died and went missing after messing up with Lincoln. Apparently, truth is that he got sick when he was exposed to sewer wastes and was kept home-schooled for a week until he got better. But he told no one of his encounter with Lincoln and how he was threatened by the Quiet One. He did encountered Lincoln once again and hid from the locker. He also watched Ronnie Anne arrive and his fear doubled… but seeing that the two of them are together, with the girl sort of hanging out/clinging to the boy, the McCann son's fear evolved to a phobia. From doubled to quadrupled terror… the Tough Girl and Quiet Kid, together spells disaster… for him at least.

Somehow some of the girls changed moods, from terror to envy as they saw Lincoln and Ronnie hanging out. Clyde being in the sideline, refuses to be the third wheel that may tip the scales of balance and cause abrupt chaos. So, the African-American stayed as observer of the whole development. Some of the girls are now plotting to one day try to woo the heart of the Quiet Kid to get him in their side as extra layer of protection.

The Goth, The Jock, The Punk, The Clown, The Rocker, The Competitive, The Stalker, The Baker, The Shy, The Brown and many more… Somehow, Lincoln can sense their surge of intents from a decametre away. Peace was never an option… Love is War!

AN: That is the second chapter of this story series. Now some of you might feel like I'm rehashing from season one. But I won't do that. There will be chapters that doesn't follow the Canon-Continuity from the show. Instead whatever route the quiet kid will do… the respond will vary. Now, there… I did say that I'm a RonnieColn fan but it's a bit toned down and the whole bullying was carefully dealt with. They kinda have some joint partnership and the Lincoln will no longer be the victim of Ronnie's pranks. Eventually, they'll see that rumors are mere rumors… exaggerated and somewhat biased since nobody truly knows what Lincoln is thinking.

Beware of certain bleeps or censorship as Lincoln might say words that are offensive to certain demographic. Just as that once Lincoln said the N-Word without Clyde hearing it. I'll try to make sure it doesn't reach VanossGaming level of offensive.
