Here's a shorter chapter that's purely Blake-focused. I really need to update An Arc for Every Season so there might be a gap until the next update. Hopefully, you guys enjoy it since the next chapter won't have Blake in it.
Vote update:
Goodwitch - 72
Winter - 67
Pyrrha - 54
Cinder - 45
Blake - 21
Yang - 19
No One - 18
Neo - 17
Neo's dead last since I added her late, but I doubt it matters since people are really into dommy mommies here. For a while, Winter was actually winning the vote, but then today Goodwitch just soared and overtook her. People also really want an age gap with their dommy mommy.
By the way, I'm also considering the idea of doing commissions. For anyone interested, email me at this address: Storylover543 gmail . com
Blake sighed as she looked at her reflection in the bathroom mirror. Her frowning face greeted her back and she resisted the urge to sigh again before she splashed her face with ice-cold water. The chill felt awful on her already clammy skin, but it was a small price to pay.
Three days. It'd been three days since the incident on the highway and she was forced to give up three hours of her life every day to attend sessions with Mr. Arc. Not only that but she'd been prevented from continuing her research into the White Fang by the rest of her team. So what if Ruby lost her free cookie source, Weiss lost her chance to rant, and Yang had to toss five hundred lien worth of alcohol? It was a small price to pay to stop the White Fang. Besides, she didn't force them to help her. She didn't put a gun to their head and demand they follow. They wanted to stop the White Fang just as much as she did.
But now they were mad at her because she 'didn't lose anything'. As if having to lose so much valuable time she could've used to keep the White Fang from making things worse for Faunus everywhere wasn't more of a loss than all of their issues combined.
But you did lead that mech onto a highway, a traitorous little voice at the back of her head said. Blake promptly had the voice dragged out kicking and screaming, shot in the back of the fictitious head, and burned its metaphorical body till nothing but imaginary ash remained.
Yes, she'd miscalculated, but it wasn't like anyone got killed! People just had bruises and dizziness. And while Torchwick did get away, they still stopped him and the White Fang from using that mech for whatever nefarious scheme they were planning. A scheme that she might've made some headway into stopping if her teammates didn't act so petty about being slightly inconvenienced.
She sighed once more and pushed herself off the sink. Today was her turn to take the first meeting with Mr. Arc and she was not looking forward to it. Their previous meeting had gone the same way: three hours of him trying to convince her that she did something wrong. The methods changed, sure, but in the end, it always came back to trying to make her feel like she made a mistake.
Tch, he just didn't understand. How could he? He was safe and sound in Beacon and probably never had to deal with discrimination or danger like she did. It was so easy to judge when you didn't have to understand what the other person went through.
Jaune Arc could never understand, and that was something she couldn't fully blame him for. After all, the only one who knew about her true past was the rest of her team. Mr. Arc had assured her time and again that nothing would leave the room, but she just couldn't trust him. It wasn't anything against him personally despite how annoying he could be. She just couldn't take the risk of him outing her disguise and true identity to the staff.
She had to do this. It had to be her. Not only would the police and adult Huntsmen not understand how the White Fang worked, but they didn't have the personal stake in it that she did. She knew she'd done horrible things. Five years of loyalty to the White Fang meant that she had blood on her hands and the only way to wash them clean again was to make sure that they couldn't enact whatever plan they had for Vale.
In that way, she wasn't that different from Weiss. Despite going to Beacon, she also planned to redeem her family's legacy with her own two hands. Going to business school instead of a Hunstman Academy, but she understood wanting to do something with herself instead of just sitting on lectures for four years. She'd chosen to be a Huntress herself to help bridge the gap between humans and Faunus, after all.
With that in mind, she secured the bow that hid her true identity from everyone and stepped out of the bathroom.
"Hey, Blakey." Yang grinned up at her.
Blake's eyes narrowed, "What's got you in such a good mood?" she asked warily. Just a few hours ago her partner was irate, yet now she looked for all the world like she'd won the lottery.
"Oh, nothing."
"Aren't you supposed to go to counseling right now?" Ruby asked, a bright smile adorning her face.
"Indeed. Wouldn't want to be late, would you?" Weiss hummed cheerfully.
...What the hell was going on? Did they all get drunk on Yang's double-secret stash? She glared in suspicion at each of her team but could do nothing but walk away as the seconds ticked by. As much as she wanted to find out what the hell was going on, she couldn't afford to be late. Detention with Oobleck would be worse than this.
Blake kept her head held high as she entered Mr. Arc's room, "Ah, Ms. Belladonna. Just gimme a second." Her cat ears twitched underneath her bow at the familiar scent in the air. Tuna- no, not just tuna. A tuna melt sandwich with sourdough bread. She barely stopped herself from drooling at the scent alone and cursed herself for not eating before she came. Now he'd hold it over her head and-
"Here." Jaune smiled and handed her a plate. Blake looked down at the offered food with wide, curious eyes and nervously accepted it with both hands before she could stop herself. Something was wrong, her instincts screamed at her, and yet it was already being drowned out by just how delicious the sandwich in front of her was. She had to squash down the temptation to just inhale the entire thing like a starving man in the desert.
"...What's the occasion?" She gulped and managed to tear her eyes away from the offering to the gods.
"No occasion. Just thought it'd be convenient to get some dinner in while we talked." He smiled. He hadn't done that past their first session. That should've made her more suspicious, but the tuna melt was calling her name.
Blake sat down and dug in. She moaned at the taste of the fish and bread blending perfectly and closed her eyes in sheer bliss. The Beacon cafeteria was sufficient, but most Huntsmen took to a high meat and protein diet with the cooks catering to that. Fish was a secondary concern, which Blake personally thought was a travesty that needed to be corrected.
The two of them spent a half hour in comfortable silence just eating their food. It was nice. If only all the sessions were like this.
"So..." he said after they both finished, "Ready for our session?"
"As I'll ever be." She sighed and looked forlornly at her empty plate.
"So I suppose you haven't changed your mind since yesterday?"
"No." She could feel a scowl coming on. Was this his plan? Put her into a relaxed state to get her to agree with whatever he said? Well, it wasn't going to wo-
"Good. Cause I have." Blake blinked, then blinked again as she processed the words, "You're right. You didn't do anything wrong and I can't fault you for trying to stop the White Fang. More people should have your initiative."
"...This is a trick. You're trying to pull something." Blake's eyes narrowed.
"Why would I do that?" He looked honestly confused at the accusation, "You already know you're right, so me agreeing doesn't do anything. I've just...I've done a little thinking, and I see now that you were right."
"Well...good." Blake preened and smiled in smug satisfaction. Maybe Mr. Arc wasn't as stubborn as she thought he was, "Does this mean that we don't have to do these sessions anymore?" Maybe then she could finally get a chance to continue her investigation."
"Oh, we'll get to that in a minute." He still kept that pleasant smile as he said his next words, "Actually, I wanted to tell you that I was so inspired by what you did that I just had to tell a couple of people I knew." Her own smile fell, "Do the names Ghira and Kali mean anything to you?"
"N-No..." A heavy feeling weighed in her chest and she had to bite her tongue to keep from screaming, "I've...never heard of them in my life." Stick to your disguise, she mentally screamed. He was lying, she told herself. There was absolutely no way that he'd contacted her parents to tell on her. Not a chance. He was just trying to unbalance her and make her slip. It wouldn't work.
"Oh? Shame, they're a really nice couple." He nodded happily, "In fact, they were really interested in everything you've been doing. I think it's because you remind them of their own daughter? I heard she ran away from home. That was so horrible of her." Jaune shook his head and she bit her tongue again with enough force to damage her Aura. This bastard... "So I told them everything you did. Didn't leave a single detail out about how you heroically blew up the docks and lured a mech onto a busy highway."
"Y-You did, hm?" Blake's smile was paper thin and did little to hide the simmering rage underneath.
"I did. They sounded so mad for some reason." He shook his head. "They even took the time to tell me some stories about you- sorry, about their totally unrelated daughter." His expression suddenly brightened, "Oh wait, why don't you talk to Kali? She was so interested in you."
"Th-That's okay, I don't need to-"
"I'll just call her right now." He shipped out his scroll and dialed a number. She was rooted to the spot in both panic and the stubborn part of her wanting to call his bluff. He was baiting her to run so she'd get detention with Oobleck. Well, she wasn't going to fall for it. She'd stare down his bluff and make him eat his-
"Blake?" Mom's unmistakable voice came from the other end of the scroll. The hidden Faunus' entire body stiffened, "Blake, are you there? Please answer. I just want to hear your voice again."
Blake's fists shook and she glared at Jaune with the furty of a thousand suns. The blonde only raised an eyebrow in a silent challenge and leaned forward to draw the scroll closer to her, "Blake, is it true what we've heard? What were you thinking? Please, just explain! Please tell me you didn't do what I heard you did!"
This son of a bitch. He'd given them a totally biased and untrue version of events, she was sure of it. He was trying to shame her into admitting that she was wrong by spreading lies about her. Well, she wasn't going to give up that easily.
Blake grit her teeth and, without saying a single word (she refused to worry her mom or give him the satisfaction), she turned on her heel and walked away, completely ignoring his call about how they still had more than a couple of hours left.
She didn't get far.
Blake had barely rounded the corner before she ran straight into Professor Oobleck, "Ah, Ms. Belladonna. Aren't you supposed to be in counseling right now?" He continued before she could respond, "Skipping your sessions already? Tsk, tsk. Well, I suppose it's for the best. I need help categorizing my rock studies and I'm sure you'll be perfect for the task. Now take note that I have thirty different categories and I'm very particular about them. Come, come."
She tried to run and even used her Semblance, but Oobleck grabbed her by the collar and dragged her kicking and screaming down the wall. Her pleas for help were ignored by all the passing students and even her own team, who just hummed and smiled as she passed them by. Traitors! Last she checked they were right there with her during the fight on the highway!
And yet it wasn't Oobleck or her traitorous teammates that earned the brunt of her anger. No, it was Jaune Arc. This was how he wanted to play it, huh? Fine. She tried to be nice. Now she was going to destroy him.
Minimake: Being Jaune is Suffering (inspired by Doobus Goobus).
"Let me out!" Blake cried, shaking the bars of the cardboard box she'd been trapped in. She was more than strong enough to easily get out of the damn thing, but somehow it kept her contained.
"No." Jaune leaned back in his seat and took a sip of his coffee.
"This is inhumane! You can't do this to me!"
"According to this piece of paper Ozpin gave me, I can. At least until your team comes back from break. And Yang gets a new arm. Remember, the one you chopped off by accident?" According to Blake, that also wasn't her fault. How was she supposed to know that Yang would come barrelling down the hallway? Except for the fact that Yang screamed 'I'm coming down the hallway!' before she did it?
"Why?!"
"Every time you're alone you destroy more and more things. First, it was the docks, then a highway full of cars, then an entire mountain. If I let you go off you're gonna destroy Vale. What's left of it, at least." Another sip.
"It only happened three times! And none of that was my fault!"
"The fact that you say that while the news reports are literally screaming that you should be arrested is amazing."
"I won't do anything this time!"
"You said that last time. And then somehow pieces of Mt. Glenn showered all over Vale. Half of the city's still ruined, by the way. There's also a video of you ignoring the bombs so you can fight your ex-boyfriend." He had no idea where the footage came from, but it was there.
"...Still not my fault."
Jaune: "Yeah, yeah. Just stay right there, I'm gonna go get some coff-"
He took his eyes off her for two seconds to blink. When he opened his eyes again he and Blake were sitting side-by-side at Ozpin's office with the rest of the school staff in various states of injury. Past the giant window, he saw Vale burning.
Ozpin coughed. One of his eyes was covered in an eyepatch, "We're here to decide Ms. Belladonna's punishment after she destroyed what was left of Vale."
Jaune looked at Blake in disbelief "I turned around for two seconds! How did you destroy all of Vale in two seconds?! That shouldn't be physically possible!"
"...You know, if you think about it, this is really your fault for not trying harder to help me." Blake crossed her arms and looked away with a pout.
Ozpin nodded along "So we're all agreed: Ms. Belladonna is Mr. Arc's responsibility until she shapes up even after she graduates. Meeting adjourned!"
"Wait, what?!"
Jaune turned around just in time to see Blake somehow already causing Atlas to fall out of the sky.
Jaune finally gets some payback against Blake. Granted he probably went too far. Before anyone worries: Kali was in on the shaming Blake plan, so he didn't exploit her grief for his advantage. It's just that we see everything in this chapter from Blake's POV and she has no idea what Jaune's thinking.
Next chapter will go back to less zany antics with Blake in detention and Jaune being freed up to get some less delusional patients. Speaking of, two questions about that.

Questions:
1. So what do you guys think of Blake now that she's gotten a POV chapter? While the vast majority view her antics comedically, I've seen a few who seem legitimately annoyed with her or want Jaune to really knock her down a peg in a non-comedic way. It's cool as an author to get this kind of response, I guess, even if it wasn't intended.
2. Who do you guys wanna see having sessions next chapter? Right now we're in the middle of Volume 2 so just about everyone is at Beacon and should be available.
Review Answers:
Calcetin Sock - Watch Nora be one of the most stable people who processes her trauma in a healthy way.
InspectorJacket - Agree to disagree, Blake isn't just stubborn, she's blatantly refusing to admit responsibility numerous counts of property damage and putting civilians in danger. Jaune points out that anyone else would've been expelled and arrested and he's just pleading for her to understand that. Then she shifts Blake to an entire kingdom rather than acknowledge she's in any way culpable. That paints her as pretty delusional if she somehow thinks she did nothing wrong.
Chuck B. Winanaki - Yeah, he attends the meetings. He assumes this is how people in high positions unwind; by playing homebrow D&D.
A Petty thief - Ask and you shall receive.
ivan111kinish - Not here. My biggest fics are already Lancaster so I figured I should branch out. Besides, Jaune dating any student is iffy enough. Ruby would be pushing it.
