Here I present myself with a new chapter for this story!
Not long ago there was a person who paid for a membership in my Patre-on, the first of all. Thanks to Surfysun now everyone has a double chapter in this story.
In case you don't know how double chapters work, they are simply two consecutive updates of this story. That means that in about 3 days they will have another new chapter.
Remember that, if you want to order double chapters, you have to become a paid member on my Patre-on and say which story you want to have a double update. Obviously only stories that are still in development enter, and every month they renew they can request again.
With nothing more to say, it's time to get started.
Enjoy!
"And that is the situation." Aether commented, letting the information sink in to everyone present.
The traveler had gathered everyone in the large hall on the second floor along with Yoimiya, Ayaka, Ayato, and Gorou.
Ayaka took the tea calmly while Yoimiya and Gorou shared a look. The silence in the room suggested that everyone was quite absorbed in their thoughts, or rather, in what to respond to Aether after such a proposal.
"Do you want any of the four of us to go to Mondstadt as Inazuma's mediator?" Ayaka put down the tea elegantly, asking the question that everyone wanted to ask at that moment.
"Mondstadt will bring someone here as a sign of his good faith. We should do the same to demonstrate our diplomatic predisposition. Or that's what Yae told me." Aether concluded, bowing his shoulders at the end.
"It's a good way to strengthen connections, but the current situation makes everything a little complicated. Our people need their leaders. I do not think I can go." Ayaka commented as she looked to the side in shame.
It wasn't just because of what happened, since she would also love to go to new places since she never had the chance to leave Inazuma, unlike her brother.
"I would be more than willing to help. Even the thought of traveling to new places makes me overly excited. But…" Yoimiya's tone became quite dull when she made that slight pause. "Someone has to take care of my father…" She concluded with some sadness.
"And what do you say, Gorou? Kokomi said that you have a lot of experience." He asked, making the aforementioned rub his hair rather uneasily.
"I would be happy to help, but I think they need my help here much more." He commented, becoming quite serious. "Miss Kokomi-sama is very busy. "Not to brag, but I'm his right-hand man, and I don't think anyone can replace me if I leave."
"Looks like this is going to be more complicated than I thought…" Aether thought out loud as he gave a sigh covered with annoyance.
"I will go."
Everyone remained completely silent after the surprise of hearing Ayato jump in the conversation.
"Are you sure, brother?" Ayaka asked uneasily, she really didn't like the idea of parting with him at a time like this.
"Don't worry." Ayato placed a hand on her head to comfort her. "You know well that everyone sees you as the head of the Kamisato family. I'll take care of the work from the shadows. That's why I think this is an ideal role for me." He concluded, fixing his gaze on Aether.
"In that case, I want to thank you." The traveler commented, shaking hands with Ayato. "As far as I know, Jean will send her representative tomorrow, so you still have a day to prepare your departure and say goodbye." He concluded, widening his smile a little as he grasped his hand firmly relaying his belief in him.
Ayato just nodded, framing his smile even more.
"That time is more than enough."
_CHAPTER 5: EARTHLY GODDESS_
Ei watched in an enthusiastic silence as Aether entered her bedroom. Her curiosity reached unexpected levels after noticing that this time the food tray had a lid so that its contents could not be seen. It was obvious that the traveler wanted to extend the moment of uncertainty as long as possible, and he only needed to see the Archon's completely composed expression to know that his plan had worked successfully.
"Personally, it's my favorite dessert in Inazuma." He commented, slowly approaching her, making that thinly held patience slowly loosing it's footing. "I haven't been here long, but it was long enough to perfect it. And not to be arrogant or anything, but I am very satisfied with the results." He concluded, sitting next to her.
"Can I…?"
"Not yet." A foxy smile emerged from Aether's lips as he watched Ei make a small pout, although it only lasted a second. "First I have to get you settled. I don't think you like eating food that way." He commented, receiving an awkward nod from the Shogun.
"You're right." The woman responded, remaining completely silent at the moment her future lover dug under the sheets to pick her up very carefully.
Ei stared at him. She did not feel the contact on her body, but the movements and the serious and delicate expression that Aether made every time he took her in his arms made it clear that he took very seriously to treating her almost like a princess.
Such careful and affectionate treatment made her feel good, and she had no problem acknowledging it with a slight smile. Probably if she could move her arms she would have hugged him by the neck to show him that she really liked his treatment.
Those thoughts were put on the back burner as Aether made the finishing touches, causing an invisible blush to emerge on Ei's face as she noticed how he cradled her in the blankets with a protectiveness and affection that no one else could imitate.
Or at least, she thought that way.
She had never met someone who treated her so affectionately without expecting anything in return.
"Now is the time." Ei snapped out of her little reverie after hearing Aether's words. "I hope you're not too upset that I made you wait so long." The traveler commented gracefully, placing the tray on the Goddess's lap.
Ei didn't say anything about it, just staring at the covered tray with unparalleled anticipation and anxiety. She didn't even bother to hide it, and Aether obviously had to hold back the urge to laugh after seeing that adorable expression on her face.
"Here it goes…!" As if making a gourmet presentation, the traveler removed the lid with unparalleled lethargy.
Ei's eyes widened comically as a golden glow took over her face, as if she were in the presence of a sacred relic. The breath left her lungs without her permission, and her hands almost moved to cover hier lips….almost.
"Some delicious Tricolor Dango for Miss Archon!"
"How is this possible? I have never seen a dessert so well made." Ei commented without being able to hide her shock, observing how the delicious dangos had a rather peculiar golden shine.
Just seeing that look made her almost drool over them. But as such a damsel, she would never allow that to happen.
"I hope the taste captivates you even more than its appearance." Aether commented with a smile as he took one of the dangos.
Ei instantly opened her mouth and closed her eyes, hoping she could taste that sugary sweetness as much as possible.
This was how she extracted one of the three balls from the stick, but the reaction was completely unexpected.
A small image ran through Ei's mind, where she and her deceased friends were enjoying this dessert so unique to her.
Aether expected her to sigh with pleasure and savor the dessert to the point of exhaustion, but instead her eyes widened almost like she was going through a nightmare.
At first, he thought she didn't like it.
He soon knew that it was something much deeper as he noticed how small tears formed in her eyes.
Aether knew what was happening to her, so he only managed to smile fondly as he placed a hand on her head.
Ei looked at him, and those tears grew bigger. Her eyes squeezed shut as she began to taste the food. Her tears rolled down her cheeks and Aether rubbed her head to comfort her.
Once she finally consumed it, her glassy eyes opened revealing a whole new world to him, and a completely captivated and excited smile crossed his face as the tears did not stop falling. The familiar and precious warmth that surrounded her entire body made it impossible for her to stop those tears.
"It is delicious!" She exclaimed with unparalleled joy, and Aether could only widen his smile even more at her reaction.
"I'm very glad you liked it.

The next day…
The distinctive sound of a coin being tossed and caught repeated a few times as Yae and Sara watched the newcomer in silence.
"This is the man they sent as a diplomatic mediator?" Sara broke the silence, obviously she was not very convinced by the man's appearance and her tone showed it.
"I see they had very high expectations." He commented, catching the coin one last time. "In Mondstadt we are very simple people except for our dear Jean. I'm sorry for disappointing you." He concluded, lowering his head in greeting.
"Oh, I didn't mean that. I was just surprised." Sara commented, observing the man carefully. "What's your name?"
"My name is Kaeya." He introduced himself, raising his face a little to give the woman a smile. "I will do everything at my disposal to meet the expectations of such beautiful ladies and my dear commander." He concluded, lowering his head once more.
"What an eloquent man." Yae commented, observing Kaeya carefully. "I think we're going to get along very well." She concluded, sketching a smile of her own at the end.
"I think so, miss." Kaeya commented, raising his face to give her a smile almost identical to hers.
Sara looked between the two, thinking that a type of friendship could develop here that could cause problems, and that obviously scared her, although she did not show it openly.
"I'm sorry for being late. My sister wanted me to introduce myself to this new job as formally as possible." commented Ayato, who appeared at the main doors with a black tuxedo and a white shirt with a light blue tie. His pants and shoes were black.
"What an elegant man. I am sure that my classmates will welcome you with open arms, the girls even more so." Kaeya commented, causing a somewhat embarrassed smile to appear on Ayato's face.
"Fufu, I think so too." Yae commented, covering her lips with her hand.
"To all this…" Ayato reached out to shake Kaeya's hand, looking around for someone.
Someone who was clearly missing.
"Where is the traveler?" The older Kamisato asked with extreme curiosity.
At that moment, Sara got a little nervous and a rather special smile appeared on Yae's face, who soon covered her foxy smile with her bandaged hand.
"He's very busy right now fufu…" That comment made Ayato look at her with great confusion.
"'Fufu'?" Kaeya repeated with a raised eyebrow.
"AAAA-chuuuu!" Ei sneezed even harder than last time, earning a worried look from Aether.
"Are you sure you can't catch a cold?" The traveler consulted her, and Ei shook her head.
"Surely there is someone who is talking badly about me." The Goddess commented with a somewhat dark look after that thought.
"If you say so…" Aether bowed his shoulders, brushing it off to resume his work.
At that moment the faint blush returned to Ei's cheeks, feeling how Aether washed her hair.
But his blush wasn't just because of that.
They were in the dorm's bathroom, where Ei was soaking in a makeshift tub in the middle of the large shower while Aether rinsed her with hot water. She was lying in the tub covered in water and Pyro slime in her purple underwear. The scarcity of bandages revealed all the wounds on her body that were red hot from being in contact with water and slimes, which generated a rather warm climate that counteracted how cold her body was.
Still, she didn't feel any pain.
It was true that she couldn't feel almost anything, but this shower was transmitting a numb sensation to her entire body. A feeling that was pleasant, even if it seemed strange.
Aether was able to capture each of her thoughts and sensations when the woman closed her eyes and gave a small sigh covered in pleasure.
"In the end it wasn't so bad that I bathed you, don't you think?" Aether commented with a slight smile, being infected by this atmosphere of relaxation and absolute peace.
"I like having my hair caressed. "I don't remember the last time I was able to enjoy it." Ei commented, her eyes closed, feeling how Aether's hands worked on her hair with great care and technique.
"Unfortunately that part is about to end." Aether commented, letting the Goddess's hair soak outside the tub, causing Ei to open her eyes. "Now comes the most complicated part: washing your body. All….of your body." He finished, making the tranquility and pleasure dissipate from Ei's face after listening to it.
"Do-do you have to take off my underwear?" The Goddess asked, her blush deepening a little more after that question.
"Don't worry, I have a plan." Aether quickly put on some fairly thick rubber gloves, bathing them in soap.
Ei watched in silence as her new friend placed a dark blindfold over his eyes, making his teeth clench from one moment to the next.
"I should have put the bandages on first." Aether grumbled as he rubbed the bandage with his elbow, hoping the burning sensation produced by the soap would pass quickly.
Ei couldn't help but smile at the situation. Not only because of the traveler's clumsiness in these types of things, but because he always tried to make her feel as comfortable as possible, and he always succeeded.
"OK! Lets start!" Aether exclaimed confidently as he collided his rubber gloves, then removed Ei's bra.
"…"
"…"
"…"
"Hey?" The traveler wondered uncertainly, since he could not find the garment.
"Below." Ei recommended, receiving an awkward nod from Aether.
'If I'm have so much trouble removing the bra, then how would I bear it with the panties?'
Wait…
Is it really necessary to take off her panties?
"Can I keep my panties?" As if Ei was reading his mind, Aether looked very embarrassed.
"I'm sorry, but the idea is to change your entire outfit."
The moment was somewhat awkward after Ei's last question, since they did not speak again and the only sound that could be heard was the water and the rubber gloves scraping very delicately over Ei's body so as not to open her wounds….
Although without a doubt the worst moment was when Aether had to lift her legs to clean her properly, since she almost fell into the tub on more than one occasion.
The job of putting clean underwear back on her was even more difficult, but not as difficult as cleaning her butt and waist.
Finally, the work was finished, and as if nothing had happened, Aether was putting new bandages on him while they both talked excitedly about what the next big breakfast Ei was about to enjoy would be.
Serenitea Pot
7 days later…
The days passed really quickly. Aether had the time to have a few meetings with Kaeya, in which they usually talked about anything except work. He still didn't know how he did it, but Kaeya always found a way to distract him from getting into a serious conversation, no matter what situation they were in.
Yae and Sara still continued with the busy work, but this last day it was noticeable that the demands were beginning to normalize, even if just a little. The essential help of Tubby and the last major functioning Clan, being represented by Ayaka and her right-hand man. Thoma was also a great help for the situation outside of the paperwork. The Kamisato Clan undoubtedly had much more than a master's education in martial arts, as their high level of organization and knowledge was very helpful.
There were still many problems. The organization of homes and other businesses stopped recently when noticing how there were a large number of orphaned children, so most of the efforts were focused on building a spacious and warm place so that they could live without having to beg for someone to help them. He shared his few belongings with them. The one who helped the children the most was Yoimiya, who had a strange but incredible affinity with them.
Kokomi continued doing her thing, treating as many injured people as possible. If anyone was equally or even busier than Yae and Sara, it would undoubtedly be her. Unfortunately, their hard and disciplined work could not save many, as the condition of the seriously injured was truly deplorable due to the powers of the Ice Empress.
Even though it seemed impossible, Paimon helped in any way she could. The situation caused the trip with her partner to be delayed, something that visibly affected her, and she was even a little sad because the fact that Aether is constantly focused on taking care of Ei meant that they could barely meet. But she understood the situation, and she tried to give his all so that the problems were solved as soon as possible, and thus resume her adventures with her dear traveling friend.
Speaking of Ei…
Her situation had not worsened, but it showed no signs of improvement either. Throughout this week, Aether treated her as best as possible to make her feel comfortable, and did everything possible to make her forget those complicated thoughts that were constantly running through her head.
Ei always looked very happy, but Aether knew that she was suffering a lot. Not just because of what happened recently, but because of everything that comes with her past.
The only way to face a mind as breakable as glass was to cover it with pillows fill it with sweet happiness.
Aether started doing it for work, but from the first day it was impossible not to empathize with Ei for her kind attitude, and, of course, for her past. Now he no longer did it for work, now he did it because he considered her a very important friend.
It had only been a week, but she had become really important to him. Maybe it's because he never spent so many hours in a row with a person other than his sister or Paimon.
Without Aether realizing it, Ei was slowly entering his heart…
And she seemed very happy with that.
Her heart was hurting, but these days she hadn't felt any kind of pain. Ei knew she owed it all to Aether, who had been with her every day to keep her distracted, and, above all, happy.
The moment where she was happiest was when Aether carried her in his arms to place her on the bed. She couldn't feel his touches, but from his expressions and the strange feeling of protection, Ei knew that Aether cared a lot about her.
Don't criticize her, Ei had spent so many centuries alone. A show of affection like that was more than enough to make her very happy.
But the problem is that every day that happiness increased more and more, although she still didn't think that was a problem...
That was proven right now, as Aether was descending the stairs with the Goddess in her arms. She wore a smile as she rested her cheek on Aether's chest. The blonde looked at her for a short second, and the woman's smile widened. Aether returned it, though he quickly returned his focus to the road.
The simple fact that he looked at her and smiled made her feel even happier.
And then, that was when the limit of happiness began to overflow.
This was apparent when a faint but very warm blush emerged on Ei's face when she rubbed her cheek on Aether's chest lovingly, although the gesture was only a for a second.
Aether didn't think anything of it, thinking it was a simple action to somehow repay him for what he was doing for her.
They finally went down the stairs, and Yae's mischievous look was accompanied by Sara's typical serious expression and Kaeya's curious look.
"Pray tell? Who do we have here?" Yae watched the duo amused.
"I thought it would be a good idea to have breakfast on the first floor. You know, so she can better see how her people are faring in this crisis." Aether commented with a slight tilt of his shoulders.
That was an obvious excuse that only Kaeya and Yae could catch. But it seemed appropriate that Aether cared enough about Ei to take her to different places in the mansion before she started to feel overwhelmed by being locked in the bedroom at the same time.
"Very well, enjoy it." Sara nodded, suspecting nothing. "Remember, if you need anything, I now have a little time to assist you." She concluded, taking a sip of tea presented to them.
It was obvious to whom those words were directed, and Ei nodded naturally.
"Don't worry, Sara. Aether is doing an excellent job." The Goddess focused her gaze on the blonde again, and a harmonious smile emerged from her lips.
"I'm glad it's so." Sara responded without being able to hide her smile, since it was the first time she had seen Shogun Raiden smile.
On this occasion, Kaeya did not notice anything strange, but the case was different for Yae, who could not help but narrow her eyes a little at her friend's unusual gesture.
Yae didn't expect her to smile so sincerely again in such a short time. That meant that she was not wrong in selecting Aether as her momentary caretaker.
A slight smile appeared on the Yokai as she waved them off.
"Take care." Yae's greeting was so normal that Aether and Ei couldn't help but look at her with great confusion.
They were both completely surprised that the Yokai had not wanted to bother her Archon friend, when her first smile indicated that she clearly wanted to play a couple of pranks on her.
"Why are they looking at me like that?" Yae caught their glances, and suddenly her offended face emerged with a sigh covered in feigned sadness. "Did they really think bad things about me? Do a few jokes already make them not trust me so much?" The woman commented, looking down with great sadness.
"Stop it, Yae. You are not deceiving us." Ei commented, returning to her typical relaxed tone, although it seemed a little harsh.
"In fact, I almost believed it…" Aether whispered under his breath, to which Ei looked at him in bewilderment.
"Okay, okay!" The Yokai exclaimed with a smile as she waved one of her hands. "Go eat and relax as much as you can. We need you to recover as soon as possible." Yae's usual cheerful tone was accompanied by a sentence covered in seriousness, so they both knew that she had already put his jokes aside.
"I hope the same. Surely there are many important things that I must attend to." Ei commented with some seriousness, and then turned her gaze to Aether. "Besides, I already feel a little bad for taking up so much of your time." She concluded, smiling that smile covered with life for the second time, something that caught Yae's attention again.
"Don't worry. I'm not good with paperwork and stuff, so this is the best job they could have found me." Aether commented with a toothy smile.
"That reminds me that we won't be able to pay you anytime soon for everything you've done. All the Moras must still be buried under the rubble of the Tenshukaku, and we are still too busy to clean the area for treasure." Sara commented, placing a hand on her chin.
"If you want, I can do a small expedition in the area tomorrow." Kaeya joined the conversation, receiving a look from everyone present.
"What is your percentage?" Yae asked bluntly, placing her bandaged hand under her cheek.
"I see you are as smart as ever, Miss Yae." Kaeya declared with a smile. "Considering that Inazuma is a very rich city, I think 2% is appropriate."
"It's less than I thought." Yae commented, raising one of her eyebrows.
"I must remind you that I am here to help our relations between cities improve and return to the way they were before. This is a big step towards that, so I think it's appropriate to order a moderate amount. Otherwise, it would be shameless." The man concluded, holding one of his typical smiles.
"Very good." Yae responded with a smile.
"In that case, I'll leave you. We could discuss the price beforehand." Aether took his leave, indicating the little importance he gave to the matter.
"He seems like a pretty confident person about payments." Yae commented nonchalantly, watching as the young man went into a room and then closed the door.
"Yes it is." Kaeya nodded, remembering the numerous experiences he had together with his blonde friend.
He was sure that Aether had done an extraordinary number of assignments as a traveler and adventurer who had been to 3 different cities. Your riches for the sheer number of hours, days, and months should be something beyond normal. But, ultimately, they were not.
That brought a smile to his face as he spoke again.
"That's why they almost always end up scamming you."
Aether moved the chair and sat down without much trouble. Ei blushed slightly when she saw how he placed her on his lap.
In front of them was a table covered in appetizers, but what stood out the most were those incredible tricolor dangos that were next to the two cups of hot chocolate.
But this time, Ei found herself more focused on what was happening elsewhere. The room was very small and barely consisted of that small round table. Around them were all kinds of ovens, clean dishes, drawers, among other things. It was obvious that that place was the kitchen. Although what caught Ei's attention the most was not the place, but that single closed window that had small openings in those pleated blinds. The air rushed through the openings, the light from the cracks hit her eyes as she listened to how people were doing their things.
A slight smile appeared on the Goddess's face, as those sounds covered with life soothed her ears.
"Would you like me to raise the blinds?" Aether asked, placing the hot chocolate near his lips.
"No need, this is fine." Ei commented, tilting her face a little to taste the chocolate without taking her eyes off the window.
Being so close to the window, it was easy for her to see all the people who occasionally passed by. Many carried carts with a large amount of materials of all kinds.
"They are doing so much work these days in comparison to the time they lived in Inazuma." Ei commented to no one in particular, tasting the hot chocolate once more.
"It's true, since your bedroom window faces the opposite direction you had no idea what they were doing here." The blonde commented with a slight nod. "They are building an orphanage."
Those words fell like a bucket of cold water that froze Ei's entire body.
Aether instantly realized that something was affecting her, as she removed her lips from the cup and her gaze fell down with an inconceivable amount of pain.
"Are you OK?" Aether asked, placing the hot mug on Ei's cheek to get her to push her thoughts away. "Are you worried about the children? They are strong, just like all your people." He concluded with a small smile, a somewhat crestfallen smile, since he could tell how Ei felt.
"But, they wouldn't have to be strong at such a young age if they had their parents…" Aether's attempt to calm her failed, and it was evident in Ei's downcast look. "We got into that trouble because of my mistakes, and I wasn't even able to save everyone…"
"Do you still think like that? Do you want us to argue again?" The traveler mentioned the first conversation they had, but on this occasion Ei did not react defensively, as he always did.
Now he just lowered his gaze with extreme regret.
"Do you really think Inazuma needs their Archon after what she did?" Ei's question made Aether look at her carefully.
After a few seconds, a smile appeared on the blonde's face.
"Now I understand it." Aether's comment caught Ei's attention, who raised her face to look at him. "You're not just worried about your people. You are also afraid that they will hate you." He concluded, and Ei had no choice but to lower her gaze.
"Yes, I suppose so…" The Goddess commented with a bitter smile. "What should I do if they hate me? Don't you think it would be best to let them live for themselves? After all, they showed that they know the concept of Eternity much better than their own Archon…"
"Our Archon wants to abandon her position?!" Before Aether could refute her words, a voice was heard from the other side of the window.
"You can not go away! Who will I make my wishes to then?!" Again it echoed from there, both voices sound childish.
Ei watched with slightly widened eyes as two children were looking at her from the small openings. Apparently they had heard their conversation without them realizing it.
"Just what I need." Aether thought with a slight smile as he opened the blind a little, revealing the figure of the two children.
They were both very similar, with that dark hair and black eyes. One was a little younger than the other, so perhaps they were brothers. The clothing and the slight dirt on them suggested that they were one of the many orphans left after the catastrophe.
Ei realized that detail immediately, so an enormous feeling of guilt and regret fell on her entire body with a big weight.
"Don't tell anyone we're eating here. This is supposed to be a secret. In exchange, you can ask whatever you want." Aether placed a finger on his lips, signaling for them to remain silent.
Both children nodded vigorously, as they immediately recognized who the blonde man was. Many surviving artists had made paintings of him to honor his great deed.
"Why is Miss Archon like this?" One of the two boys asked in a whisper, making sure no one else heard who they were talking to.
"She ended up saving them like this. But don't worry, she will recover quickly." He commented, watching as both boys' faces lit up.
"Woahhh! "Does that mean Inazuma's hero couldn't have done anything without her?!" Now it was Aether's turn to get a little nervous at the nickname.
"I knew our Archon was the best!" The other boy completely forgot to remain silent, so some passersby looked at them with some uncertainty, but they quickly resumed their activities.
Ei only deigned to observe the children with unparalleled disbelief. Her eyes blinked several times, unable to believe that they were praising her so much when she was the main cause of them becoming orphans.
As if knowing what she was thinking, Aether placed a hand on her shoulder with a smile, making Ei look at him, still with that surprised expression on his face.
"But is it true that Raiden-sama will no longer be our Archon?" One of the children asked, showing quite a bit of disappointment.
"My brother and I wanted to become strong warriors like our parents to defend Inazuma and our Archon, just as they did." The other commented sadly.
"Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere." The Goddess's response made both children look at her with great surprise.
Suddenly, the surprise left their face and they clenched their fists tightly to reveal a great deal of pent-up hope.
"Oh really?!" The two shouted at the same time, jumping.
"I thought the next generation would no longer need me, but…"
"Are you kidding?!" One interrupted her with a frown.
"There is nothing more important in Inazuma than its people, its customs, and its Archon, since you were the one who built everything! Everybody knows that!" The other shouted, causing shock to return to Ei's face.
"That is why we ask that you never leave, Miss Archon." They both commented at the same time with all the seriousness that they could manage on their faces.
"I… it's okay, I won't stop being the Archon." Ei responded, flashing a slight, but radiant smile. "But you must promise me that you will do your best to become the best warriors in the Shogunate." She concluded with a slight giggle at the end after hearing how both children shouted "Yes!" and they clench their fists in the air tightly.
"We promise we will be better than our parents!" Both children screamed at the same time, but that moment of conviction and joy was completely broken when their stomachs resounded loudly.
The two children rubbed their hair in extreme embarrassment without saying anything about it.
"Do you want some food? We have plenty." Aether commented, taking two rather large slices of cake.
"Hey?" one of them asked.
"Can?" asked the other.
"Of course." Ei responded with a smile, making the confident and outgoing children become extremely shy.
Aether took a small tray to place the portions on it. But he had a pretty interesting idea of how to deliver the food to them.
Ei blinked in surprise as she noticed how Aether took his hands to join them with hers. That made them both carry the tray until it was placed on the window. The process was slow, and to say Ei wasn't enjoying it was an understatement. That smile covered with sympathy and affection gave her away when she looked at Aether because of the beautiful gesture he was making.
"T-thank you very much, yesterday we were late to get our dinner…"
"Yes, thanks…"
Both children rubbed their hair very shyly as they accepted the food.
"Don't be late this time." Aether commented, raising his hand along with Ei's as a farewell gesture.
The two children bowed slightly before running off with their newly obtained food.
The traveler and the Goddess stood looking outside in silence, they had a smile that nothing would be able to take away.
That's what they thought atleast...
"Now we have two Archons! I can make two wishes a day!"
Aether rolled his eyes as he closed the blinds after hearing one of the two children scream.
"I think you wouldn't make a bad Archon." Ei commented with a smile, earning a neutral look from Aether.
"You forget that I am not a God." He commented, earning a curious look from Ei.
In fact, she was very curious.
"Will you ever tell me how a mortal is capable of having so much power?" Ei asked with great interest, earning an exhausted look from the traveler.
"Maybe another time. Now enjoy your breakfast." Aether closed the conversation, clearly getting tired of everyone always asking him the same question.

"We only left for a month…"
Five figures with their backs to themselves posed in front of the destroyed Inazuma and filled with rubble. Three of them wore pointed, dark hats, while the figure in front of everyone was much more corpulent and taller than the others, having white hair that fell on his upper back, added to the red horns that stood out on top. his head. The only female-looking figure had green hair tied in the shape of a pineapple thanks to a purple bow.
"It was only 37 days…"
The man in front spoke again, observing the devastating panorama.
Finally, the subject pulled his hair hard and fell to his knees when he shouted to the sky:
"WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!"
