Another chapter, Omg you guys, I am so so so so tired… I'm literally gonna pass out in class tomorrow. Anyway, I'm also so so so so sorry for taking this long to update, but I hope you enjoy the chapter!
Jenna was standing next to Billy, watching as he followed Cestro's directions for his device.
"Now move the refractile telemetry oscillator aside," Cestro guided.
"Got it," Billy replied, taking off the odd helmet.
"He is extremely intelligent by juvenile human standards is he not?" Delphine questioned.
"Yes, very good," Cestro complimented, as he and the Alien Rangers clapped for Billy.
"Thanks, you guys. But I hope the regenerator works in turning us back to normal," Billy sighed.
"Billy, if anyone can effectively discover a solution to your problem, it is Cestro," Aurico assured him.
"That's great, we really need the help," Jenna smiled, then Billy's watch beeped.
"Oh, gosh! I have to go to school. They'll be wondering where we are," Billy remembered.
"Those are the only connections that remain," Cestro explained. "Regretfully, my hands are too large to make them."
Jenna was going to volunteer to help, as she knew she could, but something Billy had said made her freeze as he put the device in his bag.
"I'll finish it at home after school," Billy told him.
"Billy, what do you mean they'll be wondering where 'we' are?" Jenna asked, confused.
"Oh," Billy froze, looking innocent. "Well, me and Katherine thought it would be good for you to join us at school. So we had her call in and pretend to be your mom and sign you up over the phone. So now you'll be going to Kindergarten at Angel Grove Elementary School."
"What?!" Jenna asked, shocked.
"Yup, so grab your bag, because we can't be late," Billy smiled, moving past her shock and turning to the Aquitians. "Remember, don't go anywhere you guys. I don't think the world is quite yet ready to be introduced to you yet. We'll be back to check on you later."
Billy grabbed Jenna's hand and began dragging her out, making sure to pick her backpack up on the way. Jenna protested loudly, and the Aquitians watched in confusion.
At the end of the day, Jenna was pouting, as she walked with the other Rangers to the bus.
"Okay, guys, I'll go home, and as soon as I get things started, I'll call you," Billy told them.
"Want some help, Billy?" Adam asked.
"Sure, that'd be great," Billy told him. "See you guys later."
"Bye," The others replied. Jenna was going to walk away, planning on contacting Alpha to get him to teleport her back, but Katherine quickly grabbed onto her backpack.
"Actually, Jenna, you're going back to my house with me," Katherine said, as she led her onto the bus. "I asked my mum and she was fine with it." However Jenna wasn't necessarily fine with it and grumbled again as she was dragged onto the bus.
She sat in the smaller seat at the back of the bus, beside Bulk and Skull and behind Rocky and Aisha. She was already uncomfortable by the choice of clothing she was wearing. Practically all of her clothes had disappeared and Kat and Aisha had been giving her and Raelynn some of their older clothing.
Jenna had no idea why, but the mix of yellow and pink clothes she had on was making her feel ill. She wore yellow leggings, a pink shirt with butterflies and yellow shoes. There was also a pink headband in her hair and she wore a yellow jacket. She of course had her flower backpack on and hated the kindergarten homework, that had little smiley faces and check marks, that was sitting inside it.
"Hey, guys, look what we got?" Bulk spoke up, getting the Rangers attention. He opened his duffel bag to reveal a good amount of water balloons. "Water balloons."
"What are you gonna do with those?" Tommy questioned, making Jenna look up at him in confusion. What did he think?
"What do you think?" Skull asked, smirking.
"Why don't you act your age?" Aisha said, annoyed.
"We are. We're kids," Bulk laughed, and the Rangers turned around.
Jenna lifted herself up on the chair a bit to lean over Aisha and Rocky.
"He's not wrong," She muttered, and the two sighed, while she sat back in the seat.
A few minutes later, Jenna was reading a book, even though she had been advised not to by Katherine, who didn't want her getting carsick. Though Jenna didn't really get carsick, Katherine worried all the same.
Jenna heard a thud and saw Rito falling off the front of the bus, she gasped, eyes wide. She stood up and crawled under the hoards of kids, and went up to the window, just under Tommy.
A number of the kids on the bus then looked out of the windows they were near to see him - including Tommy, Kat, Bulk and Skull.
"It's a m-m-monster," Bulk and Skull wailed.
Jenna scrambled back into her seat, as Rito broke his way in. She looked in her bag, searching for her coin, before remembering that Billy had confiscated it after Zordon's ban. She and the other Rangers, plus Bulk and Skull, all ducked their heads behind the seats so Rito wouldn't see them. Rocky sat with her behind Aisha.
"Right, here's the deal. You give me what I want, and you get to go on your merry way. And if not well..." Rito trailed off, scratching his head. "Oh, I'll figure that out later, but it won't be good, I'll tell you that! Ahh! Was that scary?"
"I have a plan, you guys," Tommy whispered, as everyone huddled a bit. "Listen up."
"A-ha! There you are, you little pipsqueaks!" Rito growled, when he spotted Bulk. The Rangers turned to him. "Come to papa!"
"Now!" Tommy shouted.
"Go!" Rocky yelled.
The entire group of kids on the bus began chucking water balloons at Rito. While Jenna thought it was sorta fun, she was a little confused on how many water balloons Bulk and Skull had fit in the bag. And she could not recall how Tommy had even been able to pass them out.
"Hey, you kids, stop that! Now don't make me come back there!" Rito yelled.
"Beat it!" Tommy demanded, as the kids escalated into throwing food as well.
Jenna only heard Rito muttering to himself as he complained, moving backwards.
"Bulky look, I'm a pirate," Jenna turned to Skull, who had lifted Rito's sword.
"What, are you crazy?" Bulk questioned.
When Rito finally left, Tommy and Katherine went to go tell the bus driver, while Jenna curiously watched Bulk and Skull play with the sword. Then it began to glow blue. The two boys got really scared and began to whimper.
"Throw it, get rid of it!" Bulk fussed. Skull threw it out the window, and Jenna leaned over and snorted when it hit Rito in the head as the bus drove away.
Jenna had really been wondering about the state of the police force, I mean, a bunch of kids were just chilling at a power plant, you'd think they'd have noticed. But her unrelated thoughts were cut short, when Billy and Adam walked up to the group with the regenerator all fixed and built.
"Great, you're all here," Billy nodded. "Did you bring your Power Coins?"
"Oh hey!" Tommy greeted them.
"Yeah, we got them," The Rangers all murmured, giving them to Adam.
"Mine too, Billy?" Jenna asked, as Billy had taken hers somewhere.
"No, I haven't had any time to do tests on it," Billy shook his head. "Now, on its lowest setting, the regenerator should rearrange our molecular structures and turn us back to normal."
The Rangers who had been turned into kids all cheered, while Jenna smiled, cheerfully.
While Billy and Adam set up the device, the other five rangers got into defensive positions when Rito and Goldar came running from behind some large tank.
"Hurry, Billy! It's Rito and Goldar!" Rocky shouted,
"I knew we were being followed," Adam sighed.
"Step back," Billy told them, setting down the regenerator. "Cross your fingers?"
"Hold it right there!" Goldar growled.
"Hey, what's he doing?" Rito wondered. As Billy stood up, he was surrounded with swirly white lights.
"He's activating it," Goldar pointed out
"Well, what are we waiting for? Get him!" Rito yelled.
Billy grew back into his normal age just as Rito and Goldar made it to him.
"It worked," Tommy grinned. "You're big again, Billy."
"Well, Billy, I see we've been taking our vitamins," Rito laughed.
"What do you want, Rito?" Billy demanded.
"Uh, let's see. The Power Coins, the regenerator and anything else you've got…" Rito trailed off when Tommy ran up and grabbed the regenerator before running off. "Hey!"
"Run, guys!" Tommy shouted. Jenna listened and began sprinting after him.
"Let's get 'em!" Rito yelled. "Come on, Goldie! Will you help me here!"
"They're on to us!" Tommy breathed, Jenna would get tired soon, she hadn't been a Ranger for very long, so she wasn't used to it. Not to mention her legs were pretty small.
Billy led the young rangers onto a walkway, and they began to slow down, to catch their breath. But then Rito and Goldar appeared on the other side.
"Hi, guys," Rito laughed, saluting.
Billy skidded to a stop, the Rangers stopped after him.
"I'll take that," Goldar announced, walking up and snatching the regenerator from Tommy.
"Hey!" Tommy cried.
"Much obliged, kiddies!" Rito mocked.
"Alright, you guys asked for it," Billy threatened, moving forward.
"Right," Rito scoffed as he fired lasers out of his eyes.
The lasers then hit Billy and sent him flying into a wall.
"Ugh!" He groaned, clutching his chest.
"Billy!" The others cried, as they ran towards him.
"I got the Power Coins!" Goldar cheered after retrieving them from the regenerator. He and Rito laughed, evilly.
The young Rangers crowded around Billy, worried.
"Billy, are you alright?" Tommy questioned.
"Yeah, I think so," Billy groaned, sitting up with pain.
"Excellent work, Rito," Jenna looked up to see Lord Zedd standing on top of one of the tanks.
"Oh no, Lord Zedd," Tommy groaned, as the Rangers shared a look.
"Funny, you all look much smaller than I remember," Lord Zedd mocked. "Oh, Rita!"
Jenna looked around to see Rita standing on top of another tank.
"Ha! Let's get on with it, shall we?" Rita urged.
"I couldn't agree with you more, my dear," Lord Zedd decided.
Rita and Zedd both sent spells with their staffs to Goldar who held up his hands with the power coins - excluding Jenna's.
The Rangers all had to cover their eyes to shield themselves from the bright lights that occurred.
When the Rangers could finally uncover their eyes they watched as Goldar opened his hands and gold dust blew away. Jenna gaped as she realized they had used to be the power coins.
"Bye, bye!" Goldar laughed.
"Like golden dust floating in the wind, so shall your planet Earth perish!" Lord Zedd declared. "The time has come, Power Rangers, for you to prepare for the end of your world!"
Lord Zedd laughed, disappearing as Rita followed suit.
"Let's see, now," Rito said, giving Goldar his sword. "This one's yours. This is mine. Huh, without the Power Coins, this thing's useless." He babbled, throwing the regenerator away.
Jenna bit her lip and turned to other Rangers.
"We're outta here!" Rito declared, as he and Goldar disappeared.
"What are we gonna do now?" Aisha asked.
"The Power Coins are gone and the regenerator's history," Billy pointed out. "There's not much we can do."
"That's optimistic," Jenna muttered, earning a look from Billy.
Jenna looked up as she spotted one of Zedd's spells hit the broken regenerator.
"Hello, Power Rangers," The monster called, walking towards them. "I've been sent to make a few changes!"
The rest of the Rangers turned to him as well, and they all expressed their confusion as they quickly got to their feet.
They all got into fighting positions before Billy stopped them.
"Stand back, you guys," Billy cautioned.
"Billy, you can't take this guy by yourself," Tommy diagreed.
"Yeah, we can help," Jenna added.
"I don't have a choice," Billy told them.
He began to walk towards Slotsky, but they were all teleported away.
They all appeared in the Command Center, relieved.
"Man, that was close," Tommy stated, as they all sighed in relief. "Thanks, Alpha."
"As always, it was my pleasure," Alpha reassured.
"Alpha, where are the Aquitians?" Tommy asked.
"Their hydration levels were dangerously low," Zordon explained. "We teleported them to the nearest body of water."
"Where are they, Alpha?" Aisha asked.
"At the fountain at the center of town," Alpha explained.
"That's inconspicuous," Jenna snorted, earning a nudge from Rocky to stop.
"Well, did you try to contact them and tell them we needed their help?" Billy questioned.
"Unfortunately, their telepathic powers do not function during rehydration," Zordon explained.
"Well, I guess I should go do it on my own then," Billy sighed.
"I'm coming with you, Billy," Tommy told him.
"Uh, Tommy, I really hate to say this to you, man, but... I am older than you," Billy said, awkwardly. "And I'm telling you to stay here for your own good." Jenna had to stop herself from laughing and the irony of Tommy having to deal with how it felt to be sidelined for your age.
Tommy sighed, and he and Billy fist bumped.
"Alpha, can you teleport me there right away?" Billy asked.
"Of course." Alpha said, pressing some buttons on the computer. "Prepare for teleportation."
Billy was then teleported away, and the others decided to watch whatever happened on the viewing globe.
Jenna was standing around with the Rangers, watching the Aquitians get their medals.
"Citizens of Angel Grove, as you know our town has come under the attack of horrible alien forces," The Mayor explained, as people took pictures of the Aquitians. "But thanks to our new friends from a far away land, all is well. We are safe! And it is for this reason that I present our Aquitian Rangers with the highest honor for bravery, The Golden Star!"
Billy and the young Rangers all cheered and clapped with the rest of the crowd.
"Well, I guess we don't have to worry about them being seen in public anymore," Billy shook his head.
"Except they may need celebrity bodyguards now," Tommy joked, making them all laugh.
"I think everything's cool," Aisha smiled. "Everything's okay again."
"For now, Aisha," Billy murmured.
"He's right. We've lost our Power Coins forever," Adam reminded, sadly.
"Yeah. And Billy's device is ruined," Rocky added.
"Not to mention the Aquitians can't stay here indefinitely. We've got a lot of things to figure out, you guys," Billy told them. "Things are just gonna get worse. Much worse."
Later that night, Jenna was sitting in the weird old room with Raelynn.
"What's school like?" Raelynn asked.
"I didn't like it," Jenna admitted. "I don't like to brag, but I'm smarter than just learning basic addition and subtraction. I don't need smiley face stickers to tell me I'm doing good."
"Well, it sounds nice to me," Raelynn sighed. "Goodnight Jenna."
"Goodnight Raelynn," Jenna responded, thinking hard.
She honestly had no idea what was going to happen next.
