A/N: Here we go! At long last, I begin work on my nudist Pokémon fanfic! I've been working on this idea for about two years now. It was put on the back burner and I got burnt out on the Pokémon games. But after replaying through Pokémon Blue, I felt more motivated and I managed to get this introductory chapter done.

Chapter 1: An Invitation

Imagine, if you will, being in a conference room. Hanging from the ceiling is a digital projector projecting a video on a screen in front of you.

Just then, a video begins to play.

On the screen is a tall, blonde-haired woman dressed in a black bikini and wearing a yellow sarong, standing in the shallow end of the ocean. The waves curl around her ankles as she takes a sip of a fruity cocktail drink.

Suddenly, she turns towards the camera, pulling her sunglasses down, revealing her eyes. The music suddenly begins to swell.

"Oh, hello!" she said, smiling.

Just then, an elegant Milotic emerged from the water to join her trainer. The splash made her scales and her trainer's skin sparkle in the sunshine. " I'm Cynthia, the Sinnoh League Champion!"

Next, a woman sits in front of a cafe sipping a cup of tea, her Goodra by her side. "I'm Diantha, actress and the Kalos League Champion!"

Then, a young girl with long, flowing purple hair is shown climbing up the side of a steep mountain, her Axew assisting her along the way. "And I'm Iris! I'm the Unova League Champion!"

"We're making this video," said Cynthia, "to invite you all to a private women's-only event taking place at our new man-made private island!"

"An island filled with diverse landscapes and lush scenery!" added Diantha.

"An island paradise just for the female gym leaders of the Pokémon world!" finished Iris.

All three girls then appear alongside each other. "Welcome to Nuda Island!"

Bombastic orchestral music plays as Cynthia waves her hand out, the camera zooming out to reveal the massive landscape of Nuda Island.

A montage shows off the different environments that make up the island, from thick forests to sandy beaches, from rocky mountains to deep, dark caverns. If one were to squint their eyes, they could see what looks like a monorail circling the island. There is even a large castle in the middle of the island, rising above even the mountains.

The island looks to be a Frankenstein-esque mish-mash of a beach resort, a national park, and a theme park.

The camera then shows Cynthia walking down the beach with an ice cream cone in hand. "Nuda Island is a haven of beauty and tranquility," she says. "From dense forests to crystal-clear waters, it's the perfect place for us women to unwind and relax."

"We have everything from beaches to mountains!" Iris says as she stands on top of a waterfall. "So not only will you enjoy yourself, but your Pokémon will too!"

The camera zooms out just as she and Axew jumps off the top and down to the lake, hollering all the way.

"And the best part," says Diantha, walking onto the balcony of a huge stone castle, "you can see it all from this majestic castle, high up on top of the mountains, overlooking the entire island!"

The camera pans out to show the view from the top-most part of the castle. "This is also the best place to get a view of the sunrise…and the sunset!"

To prove her point, a timelapse video shows the sun setting and rising over the horizon.

The three champions then appear next to each other in the center of a small town, walking towards the camera. "There's a lot to see and do here at Nuda Island," says Cynthia.

"It can be a little overwhelming to see it all in just one day," adds Diantha.

"But, don't worry!" chirps Iris. "We got you covered there too!"

Cut to a montage of the different accommodations scattered throughout Nuda Island, from a hut on the beach to a cabin in the mountains. There's even a luxury hotel in a small makeshift town.

"Do what you can, then spend the night at one of our comfy hotels!" suggests Iris.

"We offer all kinds of exquisite accommodations," Diantha says, gracefully, "whether you want to stay in a hot springs onsen in the mountains or a room inside the castle, we're sure to have something that fits your needs."

"So, what are you waiting for?" asks Iris. "Come and join us and your fellow gym leader women for a week of fun and relaxation!"

"Bring your Pokémon too!" adds Cynthia. "And if you want, bring a plus one! The island has room for everyone! The more, the merrier!"

"Let's use this opportunity to rejuvenate, socialize, and have fun together!" finishes Diantha.

"Hope to see you soon!" the three say in unison.

The video ends with them and their Pokémon waving at the viewer before fading out to one last shot of Nude Island bathed in the glow of the sunset.

IN THE GALAR REGION

At the Macros Cosmos building in Wyndon, a meeting was taking place between the female gym leaders of the Galar region. Nessa, Melony, Bea, and newly-instated gym leader Marnie had just finished watching the video sent to them by the three league champions.

"Nuda Island?" Marnie asked, confused by their choice in name.

"I agree, the name is rather daft," commented Oleana, who was leading the meeting. "Now normally we would reserve this time during the League off-season to discuss plans for the next season. However, I passed this information along to Chairman Rose and he quite likes the idea of giving the women gym leaders some downtime. Thus, he's granting time off and secrecy to anyone who wishes to partake in this gym leader's retreat to this odd private island."

"Count me in!" Melony said, cheerfully. "A tropical beach day sounds amazing right about now!"

"I could use a break from modeling and battling," Nessa said, rubbing her shoulders.

"I'll go too," said Bea, "but only so I may train in peace!"

Oleana then turned towards Marnie and her Morpeko. "And you?" she asked.

Morpeko cheered happily as Marnie merely shrugged her shoulders. "Sure," she said, nonchalantly.

"Very good," said Oleana. "I'll let Miss Cynthia know you're all onboard and will pass along any further information I receive from her."

IN THE JOHTO REGION

The female gym leaders of both Kanto and Johto had all crowded into a spare office inside of the Goldenrod City Gym. Whitney had finished playing the video to a crowd of six.

"What do you think?" she asked. "Sounds cool, right?"

Clair was the first to speak up. "Well, if the boys can have their own private events and what-not, I don't see why us girls can't have a place of our own for fun and merriment."

"I'm with Clair!" cheered Misty. "Those ocean waters are just calling my name!"

"Let's put it to a vote," Clair said, taking charge as the unofficial leader of the group. "All in favor?"

Every one of the gym leaders raised their hands in approval.

All except for Sabrina, who sat in her seat with her usual cold expression. "Well, Sabrina?" Clair asked. "Are you to join us or not?"

Sabrina looked over her shoulder and saw everyone looking back at her with anticipation. Sabrina nodded her head, then raised her hand. "I suppose if everyone else is going," she murmured.

Everyone then cheered. "Then it's settled!" Clair barked as she flickered her cape. "We leave tomorrow!"

"Uh, the video didn't say when we're supposed to leave," said Jasmine, nervously.

IN THE ALOLA REGION

The trial captains, Lana, Mallow, Acerola, and Mina were in Mallow's kitchen, watching Cynthia's video on the small TV hanging in the corner of the room.

"I'm confused," Lana said, "they said this was a Women's Gym Leader retreat. Does that include us Trial Captains?"

"I would assume so," replied Mallow as she was stirring a pot of vegetable stew. "Why else would they send this video to us?"

"I'm going either way," Acerola said with a cat-like smile.

"Me too," agreed Mina.

"They said we can bring a friend too," said Lana. "You think Lillie will want to go too?"

"Why not? This will be the ultimate girls' trip!"

They continued talking amongst themselves, getting more and more excited for the retreat.

BACK ON NUDA ISLAND

On a private mountainside villa overlooking the island, the three champions were busy making arrangements for the upcoming retreat.

"I just got off the phone with Elesa," said Iris, "and she told me she and every other Unova gym leader are coming to the island! Roxie is especially excited."

"Fantina told me the Sinnoh gym leaders are all coming too," smiled Cynthia.

They looked over to Diantha, who was on the phone with Viola, the gym leader of Kalos' Santalune City. "Yes, yes," she said, frantically, "tell Korrina skating is allowed at the island. Yes, yes, there is plenty of food here as well."

Cynthia and Iris laughed as Diantha was bombarded with more and more questions from Viola. "I told you this Gym Leader's Retreat was a good idea," bragged Cynthia.

"Yeah…but," Iris said, her voice going from happy to worried, "I…kinda feel like we should have told them about our… dress code …here on the island."

"I mean, we did make it clear in the name," Cynthia said in a cheeky tone.

"I still think we should have told them," replied Iris.

"It'll be fine," said Cynthia, "I promise, once one person gets into it, everyone else will follow suit. Or…not suit , I guess. You know what I mean."

Iris still had her doubts.

"Sorry to interrupt," Diantha said, holding her phone to her shoulder, "but Viola is volunteering to be the 'official' event photographer."

Cynthia and Iris gave her a thumbs-up. Diantha then went back to her phone call. "They said yes," she told Viola.

Cynthia and Iris both looked out towards the island, excited for what the retreat will bring to not just them, but the rest of the female gym leaders. While some of the gym leaders were well-acquainted with one another, some of the gym leaders (particularly those in the Alola and Galar regions) usually kept to themselves. The three champions hoped that this women's retreat would help bridge the gaps between everyone and bring everybody closer together.

Even if it's through an… unorthodox method.

Every female gym leader will be featured in this story, apart from Liza and the gym leaders from Scarlet/Violet. Sorry! I just haven't gotten around to playing those games yet.
