Chapter 11
Okay, I feel like I need to add this chapter.
The story is going fine so far, but the character setting is hard to remember. So, I decided to use this part as a reminder to both myself and my readers.
So, off we go.
Character 1: Louis
Height: 1.67m
A Chinese teenager, Louis (POV most of the time, main protagonist) was an unhappy, poor-behaving student until he was sent to the GuP world. Assigned to be the commander of his tank, the Panzer VII Lowe, he is developing himself to become a soldier, and constantly acts like a Wehrmacht soldier from WWII (and a rather handsome one). He has acquired a fiery temper and does not let anyone stain his dignity or what he loves. Despite that, he retained many of his characteristics from his former world, including shyness around girls (which he masks most of the time), rather fine taste in literacy, and a certain level in French. He has the habit of speaking shoddy German from time to time, but he does know a lot of songs in various languages. However, he has the major negative trait of not being able to be honest all the time.
Rank: Shock Trooper, SS-Sturmscharfurher
Armaments: MP-41 submachine gun, Luger P08 pistol, C4 remote-controlled explosives, Mark I trench knife, brass knuckles, soft iron gloves.
Armor: Heavy Sci-fi Sturmmann Assault Suit (Stage 1)
Hobbies: Singing, art & literacy, video games, occasional snacks, checking out his system
Character 2: John
Height: 1.75m
Being a big fan of the GuP anime and multiple video games, John had always been a close friend of Louis. He came from a rich family and loved to eat, causing him to be rather fat. However, the 'anime-fying' of his appearance reduced some of the fatness, and since he was the loader of the super-heavy, his obesity was draining at a visible rate. He liked to laugh and make exaggerated expressions, as well as making remarks associated with WWII and the Cold War. He was humble and kind, always sharing what he has and rather willing to fight for what he believes right. A surprising truth was that he was actually a careerist at heart and had always admired Kuromorimine, but the pressure of their former world had forced him to take to a lying-flat attitude. Now, with the pressure released, he's starting to show his true capabilities.
Rank: Machine gunner, Rottenfurher.
Armaments: MG-42 machine gun, Panzerschreck rocket launcher, AT Stieglhandgranate 24, Feuerwehr axe, brass knuckles, chain-mail gloves
Armor: Heavy Sci-Fi Ober Soldat Suit (Stage 1)
Hobbies: Snacks, video games, anime, shooting.
Character 3: Gabriel
Height: 1.72m
Gabriel is a tall, slender boy who has a hairstyle rather similar to Elvis Presley and is rather fit. He has an easy-going personality and virtually no temper at normal times, never really in favor of or against anything when it doesn't matter. But when it comes to critical issues, he has the advantage of extreme willpower, able to stand his ground and keep a clear opinion. He has the strange trait of seemingly endless enthusiasm, shown when he hardly sleeps at night but remains active during daytime. However, considering that he is a paratrooper and wilderness soldier, it might be pretty beneficial for him.
Rank: Fallschrimjager, Rottenfurher
Armaments: FG-42 Paratrooper Rifle, Luftfaust antiair rocket launcher, wrist daggers, DRK dagger, soft-iron gloves
Armor: Fallschrimjager Power Suit (Stage 1)
Hobbies: Basketball (volleyball when basketball can't be played), ping-pong (for fun only, not seriously treated as a sport), video games, reading, jogging.
Character 4: Lucas
Height: 1.77m
Although he holds the position of Chemistry class representative, Lucas is actually pretty slack in behavior. He doesn't have much regard for the power of those who are supposed to be superior, and is capable of speaking out against what he thinks unfair. He has the big hobby of modelling which had caused his hands to be very stable and his eyesight to be as sharp as an eagle and as accurate as a ruler. Thus, he became the gunner and sniper. He had extreme admiration for famous snipers in history, most notably Simo Hayha, and is modelling his own image after them. He also likes British culture, and drinks tea constantly, as well as attaching a Victoria's Cross to the chest of his uniform, which often got odd looks from the History Buffs.
Rank: Sniper, Rottenfurher, Lance Corporal
Armaments: Kar 98k, M47C or Gew 43 sniper rifles (he switches between them), all with 10x scope, bayonet and bipod, STEN submachine gun, Mauser C96 pistol with stock, sword of British knight, soft-iron gloves
Armor: Heavy Sniper Aggression Suit (Stage 1)
Hobbies: Video games, VR, reading, experiments, jogging
Character 5: Hank
Height: 1.76m
The most quiet and humble of the five, Hank is an average student back in the original world. However, he doesn't enjoy his life, thinking that it is too tiring and he is being constantly asked too much. The astonishing truth is that while he wears the Wehrmacht uniform for now, Hank is actually an extremely dedicated Bolshevik, and will later shed his current suit for a Red Army uniform (will happen after NKVD rebellion). He has all one would expect from a Communist, perhaps even Lenin himself, including resilience, hard-working, kindness, unshifting loyalty and burning hate for the oppressors.
Rank: Pioneer, Obershutze, Sergeant of Armored Corps (Сержант)
Armaments: Stg 45 assault rifle with bayonet, Walther PPK pistol, PPS-43 submachine gun, sapper spade, soft-iron gloves
Armor: Heavy Pioneer Industrial-Combat Suit (Stage 1)
Hobbies: Jogging, video games, reading
Character 6: Andrew
Height: 1.73m
A former American who came to the GuP world in ways similar to his Chinese friend, Andrew is a former class monitor and a member of the school baseball team. He likes to laugh and has a positive outlook, but that doesn't prevent him from taking everything seriously. He admires George S Patton and tries to live like him from time to time. Ordinary traits include seriousness, positivity, rightfulness, a strive to outdo others, and excitement and anticipation for anything that is to come.
Rank: Sergeant (U.S Army, not Marines)
Armaments: Thompson M1923 submachine gun with bipod and bayonet, M1 Garand with bayonet and 4x scope, Colt 1911 pistol, Mark 1 Trench Knife, chain whip
Tank: T-14 Assault Tank
Armor: Sergeant Patriot Heavy Aggression Suit (Stage 1)
Hobbies: Baseball, reading, skipping, outdoors, jokes, video games
Characters 7,8,9: Jacob, Mason, Jake
Height: 1.71m, 1.75m, 1.74m
These three are Andrew's closest friends and most trusted lieutenants. They come from different states across the U.S and have greatly different personalities in return: Jacob is polite, stoic and critical, speaking little but always hitting home when he does; Mason is a wilderness guy with a temper that he can control most of the time, but when unleashed can be quite scary, as well as a large arsenal of wilderness survival experience; Jake is mysterious and calm, with a nonchalant, laid-back attitude on everything, but he is in fact the best of the three, utilizing both a trained body and a clever mind. Despite occasional arguments, they get along well most of the time, and are 100% obedient towards Andrew.
Rank: All Corporals
Armaments:
Jacob: Thompson M1927A1 semiautomatic carbine, Colt 1911A1 pistol, Mark 2 frag grenades, Mark 1 Trench knife
Mason: Winchester Model 1897 shotgun with bayonet, Browning Automatic Rifle, M2 Browning heavy machine gun (yes, you heard me right), 60mm Brandt mortar, axe
Jake: M50 Reising submachine gun (who knows what this is), Model 1941 Johnson semiautomatic rifle, TNT remote-controlled explosives, broadsword (huh)
Tanks:
Jacob: M26 Pershing, with Panther armor plates
Mason: Mark I Grizzly
Jake: Sherman Firefly with T34 Calliope rocket launchers
Armor:
Jacob: "Intellectual" Heavy Combat Suit
Mason: "Frontiersman" Heavy Combat Suit
Jake: "Elite" Heavy Combat Suit
Hobbies: Talking with each other, walks, sweets, boxing & wilderness survival (Mason only), video games, modelling
Character 10: Takashi
Height: 1.65m
Takashi was a Saunders student who fled to Oarai, unable to withstand Alisa (his girlfriend) and her constant surveillance. He is the only person in the anime to know about the Panzer Ace system, and God gave him one to keep his mouth sealed. He is modest, quiet, and doesn't like to be the center of attention. He's very fit though, and is excellent at rock-climbing. He's a bit handsome too.
Rank: Corporal
Armaments: M3 Grease Gun, M2 Carbine with bayonet and 5x scope, Mark 2 frag grenades, penknife
Tank: M24 Chaffee
Armor: Type 6 "Gipsy" Guerilla Mech
Hobbies: Uncertain yet
Character 11: Fidel
Height: 1.70m
A slightly intimidating boy, Fidel is of Cuban origin and has deep faith in Marxist ideals, leading to often arguments with Andrew. He is a bit tanned, and has a no-nonsense, no-step-back demeanor. He had actually been a street wanderer for some years, earning him a fierce look, the ability to earn a living under the worst circumstances, and deep understanding of the terrible conditions of the lowest class. His hand-to-hand fighting capabilities are astonishing, kept up by often fights with Mason. He has no respect for capitalists, similar to Hank.
Rank: Corporal
Armaments: AK-47 assault rifle, Makarov pistol, RGD-33 grenades, Cossack cavalry saber in sheath (occasionally, he wields a PPsh-41)
Tank: IS-4
Armor: "Communist Flare" Partisan Aggression Mech
Hobbies: Marxism, Maoism, outdoors, modelling, wrestling, drinking vodka
The Main Antagonists:
Number 1: Der Teufel des Blutigen Nebels
Der Teufel des Blutigen Nebels (The Devil of the Bloody Mist), also known as the Bluhtnebel (Mist of Blood), is a devil that is filled with extremist ideals. It is intensely against boy participation in tankery, and has prevented it from happening for many years by breathing extremism into the longtime terrorist organization IJDS, corrupting it only further in the process. The blood-red funnel cloud that poured out of Alisa is exactly a branch of its consciousness, and it will continue to wreak havoc to hinder the march of our main characters. But will it succeed? That remains to be discovered.
Number 2: IJDS
The IJDS was never a proper organization in the first place, as it stands for Imperial Japanese Defensive Squad, but falling out with the Bluhtnebel has only turned it insane. It now tries to keep any other school save for the Big Four (which it can't afford to anger) from the final victory, and thus, it will not be easy on Oarai and the boys.
The Mechs
Okay, I guess I need to talk about this.
The mechs are mechanical combat suits, engineered from the few Super Soldat suits the Third Reich had worked on – and failed to finish in time – in WWII. They are equipped with powerful weapons, and all have the ability to fly. Each different mech has varying weapons, and here, I will introduce a few.
MP-100 Semiautomatic Laser Rifle
A weapon modelled after the Stg 44, the MP-100 is a powerful hybrid between a railgun and an assault rifle. It fires pulses of black energy that can penetrate ordinary steel and concrete with rather ease, and has the frightening ability to cause an aura of fear that slows enemy movement when in use. It also has a bayonet mounted on its muzzle, which can revolve at terrifying speeds, punching a hole through almost anything.
S-5 Hologram Shield
This defensive measure is created in the image of the holographic shield the Titan Cameraman in the Skibidi Toilets series wields. Its base is built into the arms of the mech, and can produce a barricade of light that can block out anything from bullets to ordinary missiles.
T-63 Iron Curtain
This serves as an additional defensive measure on the Heavy Pioneer Suit (which will later be rechristened as the Bolshevik mech). It fires a curtain of iron chain-mail that suspends in the air, blocking enemy assaults.
AR-15 Heavy
The Sergeant Patriot's main weapon, it is an enlarged version of the AR-15 assault rifle. It fires blasts of energy with various effects, including freezing, time-stop, knockback, high penetration and EMP shock. It has a bayonet like the MP-100, but is longer, glows blue instead of red, and does not revolve.
Napalm Thrower
Another of Sergeant Patriot's weapons, positioned in breeches on the arms. It works mostly like a flamethrower, but with much higher temperature, greater range and generally much more superior firepower.
Acid Cannon
A weapon mounted currently only on the Communist Flare, it is inspired, again, by the Skibidi Toilets. It consists of a series of batteries and containers around a central, elongated barrel, with the canisters bearing either ordinary toxic or biohazard signs. The cannon has several attack methods: Cannonball, which shoots a sphere of acidic liquid; Streamer, which fires in a continuous stream; Mist, which produces a lethal cloud of acid vapor (employed against aircraft) and Missile, which fires a guided missile loaded down with acid.
Jetpacks
These are mounted on every mech. They consist of a few rocket engines and several stabilizing wings. The exact design may vary, but the components are mostly the same.
Drone Production Units & Drone Bay
This is a weapon system that only Gabriel's mech currently has. It can produce drones of multiple purposes in very short periods of time and send them into combat. Different types of drones include remote-controlled kamikazes, antipersonnel, antitank, naval and air-to-air.
Note: The mechs that our characters wear is only in their first stage. Later, as the boys progress through the story, the suits will develop, gaining more weapons and functions in the process. The final stage is known as the Titan Stage (credit to Skibidi Toilets), when the mechs will tower as tall as the Empire State Building, with an arsenal more powerful than the entire U.S Army. What the mechs are for? For now, obviously to fight the Bluhtnebel. But after that? Good question. That will depend on the boys.
