Tamara was welcomed by a slew of Cats. Some in human form, others in large cat forms.

"I didn't realize you were a two-tale like Kilala,"

"Cousins, you could say," Tamara responded.

Kagome smiled and felt a bit better being here. The wives spread out, seemingly at ease with the place.

A cat meowed and rubbed Kagome's leg. "Well, hello there," She said to the black cat. It meowed again, and she picked the cat up. It instantly purred, and Kagome began to pet it.

"What are you doing?" Kagura asked, passing her up, "Playing with pussy? I didn't know you swung that way,"

Kagome turned red as Kaugra laughed. "Dont let Sesshomaru see you playing with that,"

"Playing with what?" They heard his icy voice.

Kagome turned around. "Nothing, Kagura is just being, Kaugra,"

"Put him down,"

Kagome looked at the cat, "Him?"

"Down Miko,"

Kagome slowly put the cat down, and Sesshomaru growled at him, and before Kagome's eyes, a man came to form.

"I was only teasing my Lord. I meant nothing by it," He was tall, had a tail, and green eyes. He looked at Kagome, she eeped and jumped to the side. "I was petting you,"

"Yes, it was quite nice, we dont get that often,"

"Dont let it happen again, or you won't have a tail," Sesshomaru cut short while grabbing Kagome's hand and pulling her away.

"Can you not stay out of trouble, Miko,"

"Sorry, I guess I wasn't thinking,"

"Lord Sesshomaru," A fat man with whiskers boomed, and Sesshomaru released Kagome's hand.

"Welcome to Cat City!"

The place was dry, with dead trees and dark caves.

"I am here for allies for the West as promised when wed,"

"Hmm, I was hoping to smell a grandchild,"

Kagome eyed Sesshomaru, and he actually eyed her back,

"My Lord?" The man questioned,

"Do you not smell my seed on her,"

The man laughed. "I only tease; children will come and many in one litter, of course, you have my word I will send my son,"

Who just turned out to be the cat Kagome had been petting. "And all other abled bodies to aid,"

Said son whispered in his father's ear, "Oh, um, my son has a request,"

"What is it," Sesshomaru didnt like the sound of that,

"Your Miko wife there,"

"No,"

"No?"

"She is still a virgin,"

The man laughed, and Kagome slowly took a step to hide behind Sesshomaru.

"He merely asked for more petting,"

Kagome peeked out, "That's all?"

"Be silent!" Sesshoamru snapped

"See, she doesn't mind, and after all, it is harmless,"

"Dont anger him, Father. He is in a foul mood, having to be married to her and all," The cat wife winked at Kagome. "Besides, I have something to show our fair human girl since she like cats more than dogs and all," Tamara skipped up and took Kagome by the arm. Kagome watched as Sesshomaru, not only low growled at them but watched her go with the cat.

"I think you made it worse,"

"Well, that's what he gets for lying, and besides, you dont like him,"

"Doesn't mean I like cats better," She said under her breath, which made the woman hiss. "And here I am, showing you something you will like!"

The girl waved her hand, and there in front of Kagome were many, many "Kittens!" She beamed!

"These you can pet till your heart's content, for they are mere babies,"

"Babies,"

"Litters, cat demons can have three to twelve at a time,"

"Oh my God," She was thankful she wasn't a cat.

Sesshomaru watched from afar as Kagome dove right into cuddling with the demon creature, who was all too happy to take her attention. She smiled and played and, for the first time, seemed content with her life.

"Dont get too attached, Kagome," Kaugra said, walking up and shooing the kitten as she did.

"It's not like I'm going to ask if we can have one,"

Kagura raised an eyebrow, and Kagome looked at her, confused. Then, what she said settled in her brain.

"I didnt mean it like that," Kagome looked down "Hey, Kagura,"

"Hia?" She said as she gently shooed another kitten away with her foot.

"If one of you, er them, gets pregnant, what happens to us,"

"He can offer your hand to another if one wishes to take it, or set you free or keep you to tend to the children as a mother wife, but a mother wife really depends on the demoness who is with child,"

"So I could be free,"

"The only way I see any of us being free is by doing something unlawful or if he falls in love,"

Kagome snorted,

"Do you wish to be free? Is it so bad with us, knowing you're safe, knowing you have riches,"

"I am safe, and it's his riches, and I want to fall in love, I want to love someone, want someone to love me," She put the kittens down.

"Kagome, Miko's are like the jewel. The Gods gave you great power but also a great curse; you aren't meant to love in that way. A check and balance, but who knows, maybe he will grow to care for you and you him, it has not been enough time,"

"I still dont think he likes any of us,"

"He liked me just fine thank you very much now can we please get away from the kittens!"

They laughed, and Sesshomaru felt a massive headache coming on. Lucky for him, he had to inspect men to send back to his father.

For the most part, the visit with Tamara was uneventful; that was until Tamara showed up in armor ready to leave with her brother and the rest.

To Kagome's shock, she was allowed to go.

"She is a worrier," Kio told Kagome. "Her first instinct is to fight,"

"Plus Sesshomaru does not trust her brother," The Dragon wive stated, it was the most she had ever said to Kagome. "Just as well, one less bitch to deal with," The dragon said as she tossed her hair and went her way.

"So, where to next?" Kagome asked,
