"Told I'd be back." I walked into the room where Steve, Nat, Banner, Hill and some long haired blonde male either sat or stood around the table. "Dr. Banner, it's good to see you."
"Alexis?" He looked me up and down. "It's been years."
"In the flesh." I smiled. "What didn't miss?"
I grabbed a tablet that sat on the table skimming it. I skimmed through the file seeing how Steve and my Dad brought in Loki and that his brother, Thor, interrupted the transport but they all made it here in the end. I look at the feed on the table to see Loki.
"Huh… okay." I said aloud.
Steve shot a look at me. "Do you know him?"
"Alexis?" Thor asked, suddenly realizing that I entered the room.
"I know him." I pointed to the camera feed. "But I don't know you." I pointed to Thor. "How do you know me?"
"I didn't think you were real."
"How do you know Loki?" Steve asked.
"We went out once." I admitted tossing the tablet back onto the table. "Why is he here?"
"He killed 80 people in two days. And took the tesseract." Nat chimed in.
"It was more than just once. You guys were together for two years." Thor caught up. "He loved you."
"Yep. And that's my que to leave." I quickly turned around to see my Dad entering. "Thank god. They have questions for you. Have fun." I told him while I found my way to my lab.
I got lost in my work that I didn't notice Nat walked in.
"How does someone land Loki the god of mischief?" She looked over my shoulder.
"I didn't know he was a god from Asgard at the time. The signs were there though." I said focusing on the build of my own suit. "I'll admit." I glanced at Nat. "He doesn't look like the Loki I went out with. Something's different."
"Do you still have feelings for him?" She asked.
"Don't you have a job to do?"
"You're right. Don't answer that." She rested a hand on my shoulder before leaving towards Loki's cell. "Steve."
"Agent Romanoff."
I turned around to see Steve pressing the button to close the door before walk over to me.
"How was it punching something that wasn't a punching bag?"
"Different. Your dad's something."
"Yeah. He likes to make an entrance."
"Fury mentioned you're quitting S.H.I.E.L.D. Is that why you went to see your dad?" He leaned against the table I was working on.
"Part of the reason. We haven't been on the same page for a while. I wanted to make sure leaving didn't mean I was on my own." I said, swiping something on the design away.
Steve grabbed my hand, "You wouldn't have been." He smiled.
"Thank you."
Steve went searching out some information that my dad told him he was trying to hack into. I waited for Nat to walk by my lab. When she did I walked to the cell they had Loki.
Once I entered the room, Loki stood up and walked to the door while I went to shut the cameras off.
"You're early." I said still standing by the controls.
"I know, darling. We don't have much time." He smiled.
I rolled my eyes and opened the door. He quickly made his way over to me.
"This is the how-" Loki pulled me into a kiss as one of the engines blew.
"Meet me on the jet." He told me.
"That's not the plan."
"Screw the plan." He leaned in for another kiss but I pushed him back. He chuckled. "Please meet me on the jet?"
I did not meet him on the jet. No matter how bad I wanted to. It wasn't time.
