"Puppy Love"
Follow up to "Jade Dumps Beck" where Jade surprises Beck with a puppy. Beck shows his appreciation not only for Jade's generosity, but for all that she is to him.
Beck arrives back at his RV, seeing the lights on. This isn't unusual for him because sometimes he would forget, but this time he knows he turned them off, so he was a little concerned. Beck slowly opens the door, entering the RV, and sees Jade sitting on his bed. He is able to take a sigh of relief, but notices she is hiding something behind her back.
"Hey Babe. Whatcha got there?"
"A surprise."
"What kind of surprise?" Beck asked, raising his eyebrows.
Jade reached around pulling a ten week old rottweiler puppy onto her lap, scratching his ears, awaiting her boyfriend's reaction. Thankfully Beck broke into a smile, sitting down next to the two of them, and taking the puppy into his arms. The tiny rottweiler happily wagged his tail, and licked Beck's nose, which got a laugh out of him.
"He's adorable." Beck said. "What happened to the other dog you brought over?"
"The friend I got him from was very understanding. She agreed to take back the mom, and I told her a puppy would probably be better." Jade told him.
"Thank you." Beck smiled, leaning in to kiss Jade.
Beck pulled the end of his blanket around the bed for the puppy to chase as the little guy ran around grabbed at it, pulling on it, and playfully growling. Jade smiled while petting the dog, happy to have done this for Beck. Seeing the joy on her boyfriend's face proved to Jade that she really could do this.
"I am trying to get better at this. I know I haven't been the best gift giver in the past, but…I really do want you to know that I do love you."
Beck looked up at Jade, brushing her hair over her ear, and kissed her.
"I know you do. I love you, too. You don't always have to get me something to prove you love me."
"I wanted to do something nice for you." Jade said.
"It was really nice, and I appreciate the dog, but gifts aren't necessary all the time."
Beck leaned closer to Jade, wrapping an arm around her kissing her temple.
"I love you for who you are. You make me crazy in the best way possible . It's what makes me look forward to seeing you everyday."
Jade looks away smiling. Beck picks up her chin to get her to look at him, before the two lean in for a kiss.
"I guess I'm doing pretty good, huh?"
"Of course, you're the best."
Beck and Jade snuggle up on the bed with the new puppy, and turn on a movie. The puppy snuggled in between them, while his new mom and dad gave him plenty of pets and kisses. This gift is much appreciated by Beck, and he has let Jade know how grateful he is, but after their conversation, Jade has been assured that she doesn't have anything to worry about.
