Shelter Through The Storm
Jade/Beck/Cat (Polly), Fluff -Beck, Jade, and Cat hang out in Beck's RV during a thunderstorm, while they comfort Cat through the whole thing.
Nighttime has come with Beck, Jade, and Cat all in Beck's RV, hanging out during a storm. Beck is content to mill around the RV rearranging stuff and putting things away, Jade is sitting on the bed reading a book, while Cat is sitting next to her, and she can't stop looking out the window. The rain pelting on the roof and the lightning strikes every so often made Cat really nervous. Anytime they would hear thunder, Cat gripped Jade around her waist, nuzzling her nose into the other girl's neck. Jade layed a comforting hand overtop of Cat's to try and settle her down.
"You doing okay, babes?" Jade asked.
"Yeah, I'm okay so far. I'm just waiting for the storm to pass."
Beck climbed in bed next to his girls, hugging the two of them, and kissing Cat's shoulder.
"Don't worry, Sweetie, we're here to protect you." Beck said, leaning in to kiss Jade as well.
Cat kept her grip on Jade just trying to relax, and talk herself through this. She was never good with thunderstorms, especially when they happened at night. Usually she would be alone if they happened when she was at home, but having Beck and Jade with her was a big help. The three of them had a relationship that many didn't quite understand. They were always very close, and a little over a year ago they decided to all have a relationship together. It was something their friends had to get used to overtime, not knowing much about the situation, but so far things have been good, and no one has given these three too much trouble. In the midst of the storm, the lights were starting to dim, go brighter, then go dim again.
"Uh oh, looks like we might be losing power." Beck said, looking for a lantern.
"Oh no." Cat said, gripping Jade tighter.
Jade wrapped her arms around Cat, pulling her close, and kissing the top of her head.
"It's okay, Sweetie. I've got you."
The lights flickered a bit before finally going out, and Cat whimpered, nuzzling closer to Jade. Beck wrapped them both in a tight hug, while rocking them back and forth. Cat was still shaky, but kept trying to even out her breathing, and listened to Jade's heartbeat. Jade snuggled up with Cat, while brushing back her hair, and sang softly to her. Cat lost herself in the song until her eyes fluttered shut, and she drifted off to sleep. Beck leaned over to Jade, kissing the top of her head, and checked in with her.
"How are you doing over there?" Beck asked.
"I'm good." Jade answered.
"The storm is supposed to be over tomorrow. We should be able to have a beach day by the time it clears up in the afternoon."
"Sounds good to me." Jade said.
Beck and Jade soon settled in, and fell asleep not long after Cat did. They could always fall asleep like this, not just because there was a storm, but because being together made them feel at peace, and when they were together, nothing could go wrong.
