"Best Friends Forever"

While at Parent's day, the gang sees that Tori and Andre's son has a crush on Beck and Jade's daughter, and that their kids might have their first crush.

AN: Beck and Jade's little girl is an OC belonging to my friend nweeks3. Thank you for letting me borrow her, and i hope you enjoy this one.

Parents are arriving at the school on a sunny day as Tori and Andre lead Orlando to the school's playground where he could see his teacher and the rest of his class. It's spring and the kindergarten class is having a parents day outside, where they are out on the playground, and are enjoying snacks they don't get to have on a normal day. Normally snack time has a lot of fruits and vegetables, but today they are allowed to let loose a bit with some chips and popcorn out on the picnic tables.

Tori and Andre sat at one of the tables with baby Layla, while Orlando ran around the playground, looking like he was searching for something. Curious, Andre waved him over to see what had occupied his son's mind.

"Hey Bud, what'cha looking for?" Andre asked.

"She's not here yet."

"Who's not here?"

"June."

"I'm sure she'll be here soon." Tori told him.

June is Beck and Jade's little girl. They are in the same class this year, and Orlando hasn't been able to stop talking to her. He likes to sit next to her while coloring, play blocks with her, and sit next to her during reading time. He kept telling his parents how, 'June is so pretty', and 'June is so smart.', and he's always asking to have a playdate with her. Even though they were little, Tori and Andre think their little Orlando might have his first crush.

Cat and Robbie soon arrived with their little boy, Aaron. He had dark curly hair like his dad, and he had Cat's spirit and sunny disposition. His teachers were happy to report that he was always polite and considerate in class, even though he can be a chatterbox. They walked on the playground, and Aaron greeted his mom and dad's friends.

"Hi Mr. and Mrs. Harris."

"Hey little man." Andre said, and Tori waved.

Aaron ran off to go play, while Cat and Robbie sat next to Tori and Andre. Cat came over to see baby Layla, taking her tiny hands with her fingers. She smiled and laughed, playing with her Auntie Cat, whileTori and Andre were happy to see their baby girl smiling more when they took her out. When she was born it took her awhile to adjust to formulas, and she would often be cranky. Anytime someone held Layla, she would fuss and cry, which would make Tori anxious because she didn't want the person holding the baby to think it was them. Things seemed to improve, and now at six months Layla is much happier, and smiles at everyone.

It wasn't long before Beck and Jade arrived with June, and Orlando immediately saw them, running up to see his favorite classmate. June came in wearing a pale yellow dress with blue flowers on it, and her white dress shoes. She had long, light brown hair like her mother used to, and blue eyes. Anyone who saw her said she looked like a mini Jade, and she had her father's polite, but reserved personality. Orlando ran up to June, who was equally excited to see him.

"Hi June."

"Hi Orlando." She waved.

"Do you want to come play on the swings with me?"

"Okay." June said, and they both ran toward the playground.

Beck and Jade joined the others at the picnic table while they watched the kids play. Over by the swings, Orlando was holding the other swing steady so June could get on, and they were having fun together, laughing the whole time. Jade smiled seeing her daughter having fun with a close friend at school, and she was happy that it was somebody's kid she knew. Even though the kids were only five, the gang couldn't believe how big their kids were getting already. They were starting to ask questions about things around them, and wanted to go explore things on their own. Luckily they haven't dealt with anything too difficult, but the kids were only just beginning to grow, and the young parents knew things weren't bound to get any easier.

"Orlando is certainly the little gentleman." Jade said.

"He gets that from his dad." Tori said, rubbing Andre's shoulder.

"Yeah, I'm glad June is like her father. Beck could always make friends wherever he goes."

"I don't think it'd be so bad for her to be like you, too." Beck told Jade.

"How so?"Jade asked, turning toward her husband.

"You don't let anybody take advantage of you, and you know how to stand up for yourself. If June could inherit that part of you, I think we're doing pretty good."

"Thanks." Jade said, leaning on Beck's shoulder.

"Plus you care about people." Cat added. "Even though you don't like to show it all the time, you know, you're good at it when you want to be."

"Thank you, Cat." Jade laughed.

All of that made Jade think of her time in highschool, and although she had no apologies for who she was, she didn't want to think about when it was time for June to enter highschool. Maybe June would want to pursue a performing arts career, maybe not. Maybe she'd be in private school or a public highschool; anything as long as June was happy. Jade knew she wanted to be more supportive than her own father was, and she definitely wanted June to be able to stand up for herself. That much Beck was right about. If their daughter would inherit that stubborn trait from anyone, it would be her mother. Still, she hopes for June to have things easier, and to not have anyone in her life make her feel different or less than anyone else, causing her to have her guard up. June is a sweet and special girl, and Jade hopes to have others see the same thing. So far she's not worried because June has one big fan at school already.

As the kids were taking a break from playing, they headed for the snack table where Orlando grabbed some chips, and handed a few to June. She thanked him, and the two sat on the bench with Orlando letting June sit first. Beck went over to check on the kids, and see how they were doing.

"Looks like you guys are having fun over here."

"Yeah, we are." June said.

"Well good, and I'm glad to see you two getting along so well, and sharing with each other." Beck told them.

"She's my best friend." Orlando said, putting his arm around June.

Beck smiled, watching June rest her head on the little boy's shoulder while the two ate chips together.

"Daddy, can Orlando come over to play?"

"We'll have to talk to his parents. Maybe after we're done here."

"Okay." June said, and the two went back to playing.

Beck got up to rejoin his friends, when little Aaron came running through the playground, accidentally crashing into his leg.

"Woah, hey little guy. You good?"

"Yeah, sorry Uncle Beck, I'm on a roll." Aaron said, and kept running.

He laughed and sat at the picnic table, where the others were enjoying their parent's day. Beck handed Jade a bottle of water that he came back with, while she rested her head on his shoulder, watching the kids.

"Everyone getting along okay?" Andre asked Beck.

"Yeah, they're great. June was asking if Orlando could come over."

Andre looked at Tori, who nodded with approval.

"We have nothing else going on today, if it's okay with you guys." Tori said.

"Sure." Beck said, looking at Jade who said the same.

"You guys are welcome to come too." Beck told Robbie and Cat.

"I wish we could, but we are supposed to go to my mother's after this. Maybe next time." Robbie said.

"Definitely." Beck nodded.

They were there a little while longer with all the kids running through the playground, climbing up and down everything only stopping to have a snack now and then. All the while June and Orlando remained playing together. There was a lot of craziness going on around them, much to the amazement of their parents who wondered where all their energy came from. Orlando and June however weren't bothered by any of it, and they didn't let it interrupt their playtime. Soon the party was over, and all the parents gathered up their kids to head home.

The gang made their way out to the parking lot, and Orlando walked behind with June holding her hand the whole time. They all said goodbye to Robbie and Cat, while they went on their way, and it was time for the rest of them to head home.

"I wish we could play longer." Orlando said, looking up at Andre.

"Don't worry, we're going to play more at June's house."

"Really? Yeay!" The kids cheered, heading for Beck's truck.

"Hold on, we'll be going in seperate cars. You'll see June at the house, I promise." Andre told him.

"Okay, see you later, June."

"See you, Orlando."

They all loaded their kids in the car before heading to their playdate. Andre and Tori watched Orlando happily look out the window from his carseat, excited to see more of his best friend. Tori couldn't keep her eyes off of Orlando, watching him sit next to his sleeping sister, holding her hand the whole time. She wondered how she got so lucky to have such a sweet and compassionate little boy, who was so much like his father. It made her feel good about his future, and for other people he is yet to meet to get to know their son for the kind and gentle soul that he is. Tori and Andre knew someone with Orlando's nature could do a lot for those around them, and they couldn't wait to see the impact their son would have on his friend's lives.
