"Life After H.A."

The gang are in Cancun for Spring Break, while Beck and Andre talk about what college life will be like when they finally leave Hollywood Arts.

AN: Hey, so it's been awhile since I've been back to this story, but there are a few parts left in the works. This one shot will at some point be apart of a larger story, so the beginning might change slightly. My Valentine's one shot for Jori 2024 is on it's way, and I hope you enjoy this in the meantime.

The gang have been in Cancun for a few days now, and so far it's been the best time they've had together. Robbie goes off to talk with Cat while Beck and Andre walk out towards the water to sit on the beach, and watch the waves. Andre talks about the foam party they went to last night, while Beck is sitting there quietly with a stick in his hand drawing circles in the sand by his feet. Any bit of excitement Andre expressed about their trip was met with silence from his friend, and he tried to brighten the mood.

"So are you looking forward to college next year?" Andre asked.

"Sure, yeah, I guess so."

"It doesn't sound like you're excited. Something going on, Man?"

Beck stops drawing in the sand for a moment to look at Andre. He opened his mouth to speak, but couldn't find the words as turned back toward the sand, poking his stick at the ground.

"I don't know, I guess I've been thinking about a lot of stuff."

"What kind of stuff?"

"Stuff about dating. I've been doing a lot of dating lately, if you can even call some of those nights a date. I've been feeling like I want more than that." Beck explains.

"I'm sure you can find it again. College is a different place."

"Eh, I don't know, maybe. I just can't stop thinking about how I messed things up with Jade. I had a great girl, and I let her get away."

Andre rests his arms up on his knees, turning to face Beck.

"So what, you miss Jade?" Andre asked.

"Well, I mean, I don't want her back. I'm glad Jade and Tori are happy together. I just want to be able to find love again."

Beck huffs, tossing the stick across the beach. Andre scoots closer to his friend, laying a hand on his shoulder, causing Beck to look at him.

"Beck, you're a great guy with a big heart. You'll find love again; I know it."

"Thanks Man." Beck smiles, patting his friend's knee.

The two of them stand, walking towards the water just enough to dip their feet in. Andre steps back and forth, swishing his feet through the water, while Beck lets the waves lap up to him.

"I'm nervous about college too." Andre admitted.

"Yeah?"

"Yeah. This place is really competitive, and I hope I'm good enough."

"Are you kidding me? Andre, you're one of the best songwriters I know. I've never met anyone else that could come up with songs as fast as you."

"I know, but everyone there is really talented. It was one thing to compete against kids in highschool from LA, but now I have competition from all over the world. Maybe I won't stand out as much."

Beck grabs Andre's shoulders, turning to face him.

"Listen, you're going to go to college next year, and blow everyone away. Just like you have been all these years. I believe in you; you've got this." Beck told him.

Andre nods. "Thanks. I might have to call you for a pep talk once in awhile."

"Anytime. Let's make a promise to always call each other for encouragement if we need to."

"I'm down with that."

Andre gets a text from Tori that they're all ready to head out for dinner, and the boys make their way back up to the hotel. There was a lot for both of them to think about with college around the corner, but for now there was dinner with their friends, and the rest of Spring Break to enjoy.
