"Worst Nightmare"

AN: Hey, this is another prompt from my friend Nweeks3. He has been nice enough to offer me some Jori prompts, so I thought I'd write for one of his Bade prompts. He has recently started to post his Victorious stories on and Ao3. Be sure to check out his stories if you get a chance. My St. Patrick's Day one shot is on its way soon. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this one.

It's the middle of the night in Beck's RV, and he is lying awake with Jade asleep beside him. She is snuggled into his side, when he can feel her body stiffen up, as she fidgets in her sleep. Beck lays a hand on his girlfriend's shoulder, attempting to calm her when suddenly she bolts straight up, breathing heavily, and searching her surroundings. Beck didn't want to leave Jade while she was panicking, so he quickly lit one of the tea lights that were sitting on the window ledge, and turned to face her.

"Jade, hey look at me. Are you okay?"

Jade looks over at Beck before quickly throwing her arms around him, and softly crying on his shoulder. Beck hugged her tight while kissing her temple, trying to talk her through this.

"Hey Babe, it's okay. It was just a bad dream. Everything's okay."

Jade sniffled, still not picking up her head as she snuggled closer to him.

"It felt so real. I thought you were dead." Jade told him.

Beck sat back to wipe Jade's tears away, and brush the hair away from her face.

"Tell me about the dream. What happened?"

"I was at home waiting for you. We were supposed to go out, but you did show up so I went looking for you. I found your truck crashed into a tree, and by the time I got to you, you were already dead." Jade sobbed. "You were dead, and it was all my fault."

Jade started to cry again, while Beck kissed her forehead, and pulled her in for a tight hug. He didn't say anything for awhile just continuing to hold her, laying kisses on the side of her head, and her cheek. Beck wanted Jade to feel him, and know that he was here in order to help her feel better.

"The dream's over, Baby. You're here with me; everything's okay." Beck whispered to her.

"Please, don't ever leave me."

"I won't. I'm not going anywhere." Beck reassured her.

"You promise?"

"I promise."

Beck kissed her once more while laying them both down, and holding Jade close to his chest. He left the candle lit a little while longer, stroking Jade's hair until she fell back to sleep. Beck stayed awake, staring at the sleeping girl in his arms, thinking about how he'd do anything for her. He knows how she's been hurt in the past, and how their relationship has been through it's ups and downs. Anything he could do going forward to make his girlfriend happy, and see her smile, he was willing to do no matter what it takes.
