(A/N: Ok, back again. And last time, Bill managed to come back fully after making a deal with King and taking over his body, only to find a loophole in the deal and start Weirdmageddon up all over again. And now, after disposing of everyone's palismen, Bill's got everyone on the run with seemingly no way to stop him. What's the plan for our heroes? Well, it's find out.)

Chapter 13: Chaos Reigns
"Nice work, you lot," Eda told the others once the giant bird was out of sight. "Now, can you open these cages so I can pull myself together."
With a few spells, each cage containing a piece of Eda was opened, and they all assisted the Owl Lady in putting herself back together. She changed back to her normal form and cracked her neck and back a few times.
"Phew, that feels better," she remarked. "Good thing my curse lets me disassemble myself." Her pupils briefly dilated, and she scoffed. "Oh, come on, you know I use 'curse' as a term of endearment now."
Sasha raised an eyebrow. "Huh?"
"She's talking to the Owl Beast," Gus replied. He then sat down and let out a sigh. "Maybe ask it what our next move should be."
Luz glanced at Dipper and Mabel. "Well, any ideas how we can stop Bill and get King back? You guys are the experts on this."
Dipper gave her a surprised look "Experts?" He shook his head. "I don't think so. There are no experts when it comes to Bill. He's a random loose cannon. We didn't really have a plan the last time he took over either. Our whole strategy was to rescue Great Uncle Ford with the hopes that he knew how to beat him. And even with our whole rescue mission, we were basically just making things up as we went along."
Eda crossed her arms. "So you're saying you've got nothing?"
He gave her an apologetic look. "Aside from finding a way to contact Ford and asking him for help, no."
Mabel's face suddenly lit up. "Hey, what about that teleport-y spell you used to get here and when you teleported into the Titan's skull? Could we use that to get to wherever Ford is?"
Luz sadly shook her head. "Not unless you know where he is. Can't teleport to a location that we don't know about."
Sasha rested Marcy against a tree and then slid down next to her. "So what you're saying is we're on our own against a near all-powerful freak with no way to defeat him. Great."
"What'll we do?" Willow asked. "Contact Vee and tell her to send in the cavalry?"
Eda scowled. "No point. I don't think even the entire Boiling Isle population can do anything against Bill. I've never seen power like this." She made her way over to the wall of vines and peeked through it to see Bill in the distance. "Oh, King…"
Luz walked over to her and placed a hand on her shoulder. "We'll get him back, Eda. Somehow. We've done the impossible before." She looked back at the others. "We all have."
"Yeah, but this impossible?" Gus asked. "I just don't see how we can beat someone like this."
An angry scowl crossed Mabel's face and she slammed her fist against the tree. "If only I hadn't destroyed that memory erasing gun. Then we could have just zapped Bill out of Marcy's head and then restored her memory like we did with Grunkle Stan."
Anne sighed as she looked at her unconscious friend. "Yeah, we really blew our chance of beating Bill in her mind."
At those words, a thought of inspiration struck Dipper. "Wait a minute, that's it!"
"What's it?" Hunter asked miserably as he rubbed the spot where his tattoo of Flapjack used to be.
Dipper pointed at the Taiwanese girl. "Bill's been in Marcy's head. He took over her mind. Maybe she learned something from him. Some way to defeat him." He gave the others a hopeful look. "It's worth a shot."
Sasha pinched the bridge of his nose. "Ok, fine, let me try to wake her up." She placed a hand on Marcy's shoulder and gently shook her. "Hey, Marcy. Come on, girl, it's time to wake up." When she got no reaction, she glanced at the witches. "Is there some kind of anti-sleep spell you know or–"
Mabel suddenly rushed over, grabbed Marcy by her shirt and began shaking her. "Hello! Good morning, Marcy! Wakey-wakey time!" Raising her hand, she began to slap her cheeks. "Wake up!"
Anne and Sasha both lunged forward, grabbing Mabel to stop her from slapping their friend. "Dude, what are you doing!?" the former cried.
"Not cool," Sasha growled at her.
Mabel backed off, giving them an apologetic look. "Sorry, got a little caught up in the moment."
Luz sighed and pulled out two glyphs. "Maybe this will help."
She used a combo of the fire and ice glyphs to splash water in Marcy's face, but the Taiwanese girl remained out of it.
"I hope having Bill take over her mind didn't damage her head or something," Dipper commented.
Anne glared at him. "Don't even say that. Marcy was fine after she was taken over by the Core, she'll be fine now."
"Maybe she'll wake up with true love's kiss," Mabel suggested in a way that was impossible to tell if she was serious or not.
Sasha cut her eyes at her. "Yeah, even if that were the case, I'm pretty sure that Marcy is the type of nerd whose crushes are all two-dimensional characters. Like, literally 2-D characters."
"Guys, shush," Luz told them, and pointed at Marcy. "Look, I think she's waking up. I think the water worked."
They all gathered around and took notice of the fact that the unconscious girl's eyes were moving around behind her lids. She shifted about slightly before letting out a groan, and her eyes slowly cracked open.
"Oh, I have such a headache," she grumbled.
Tears of relief filled both Anne and Sasha's eyes. They both joyfully cried out her name before tightly hugging her.
"Thank Frog you're alright!" Anne exclaimed.
"Still making us worry about you," Sasha said as she fought against her tears.
Marcy let out a groan, looking completely disorientated. "Anne? Sasha? What's going on? What happ–Whoa!" Her eyes suddenly went wide as she noticed the others and began looking from one to the other. "Ok, why is everyone from my dream suddenly here?" She glanced around. "Where are we anyway? Am I still dreaming?"
Both Anne and Sasha broke the hug. "Sorry, Mar," the latter replied, "but you're not dreaming, and there's no time to explain."
"Long story short," said Anne, "the triangle guy from your dreams is real and is now taking over. These are our new friends who are trying to help us stop him, and you might be the only one who can help us."
Clearly lost, Marcy looked back and forth from one of her friends to the other. "Wait, what?"
With a sigh, Eda walked over, ushering Anne and Sasha out of the way and crouching down in front of Marcy. "Listen, Macie, because you're a little late to the game. We need your help to tell us anything you can about Bill Cipher. Did you learn anything about him while he was in your head?"
Marcy blinked. "In my… Wait, I'm sorry, I'm still trying to understand what's going on. You're saying someone was in my head? Who? And who are you as well?"
"Ok, upsy-daisy," Eda grumbled, picking Marcy up by the collar of her shirt. She then led her over to the vine wall, setting her down so Marcy could see out of one of the small openings. "There. That triangle guy. You told your friends you were seeing him in your dreams. Well, he took over your mind for a while, but now he's loose in the real world, and as you can clearly see, he's turning everything all wacky."
She turned Marcy around to face her. "Now, our magic is completely useless against him. So, is there anything you learned while he was in there," she tapped her finger against Marcy's forehead, "that could possibly help us in stopping him and getting my son back."
Marcy blinked a few times. "I… I… Wow, you're throwing a lot at me right now. Am I still dreaming?" She slapped herself, rather hard too. "Nope, definitely not a dream. Ok, that's a lot to wrap my head around. You're saying that guy," she thrust her thumb over her shoulder at Bill, "was controlling my mind, Miss… eh…?"
"Call me Eda. That's Luz, Amity, Willow, Gus, Hunter, and the twins Llamanic and Rowena."
"Dipper."
"Mabel."
The Owl Lady glanced at the Pines twins. "Isn't that what I said?"
Mabel shook her head. "Nope."
"Not even close," Dipper remarked irritably. "Seriously, do you keep getting everyone's names wrong on purpose?"
Eda just rolled her eyes. "Anyway, introductions are over. Now spill. Bill Cipher."
It was clear that Marcy was still trying to process everything, as she seemed at a loss for words. "Um… ok, Bill, right. Well, you see… Wait, did you say magic earlier?"
"Marcy, focus!" Anne scolded.
"She gets distracted easily," Sasha nonchalantly told the others with hooded eyes.
"Sorry, sorry," Marcy muttered. "This is just a lot to take in so fast; my brain is still trying to catch up. But," she glanced over her shoulder and out the small opening to see Bill laughing as he fired lasers from his eye into the distance, "yeah, that triangle guy." She looked back at Eda. "I've been seeing him in my–Whoa, your eyes are different colors! That's so cool!"
"Marcy!" Anne shouted.
"Righty, right, sorry. So, yeah, I've been seeing him in my dreams for some time now. I thought he was just a figment of my imagination, but then I–Oh, wow, is that a hook for a hand? Oh, wait, sorry. Focusing. I started seeing him more and more often, and he didn't feel like he was part of my subconscious or anything. Then he would start talking to me, and I–"
"We don't need an origin story," Eda interrupted impatiently. "We need to know how to stop him. What happened after he took you over? Did you see anything in his mind while was in control?"
Marcy's brow furrowed. "Took over… Is that what happened? It was… so weird. Like when I had the Core in my head, but also different. I thought I was dreaming again." She looked at the others. "I remember seeing you all there. There were these shadow arms that were pulling you into the ground. Then I found this bell, and, Anne, you told me to ring it, so I did."
"And we are all very grateful to you for that," Gus told her.
Marcy rubbed her head. "After that… after that… it's like I was just wandering through a mixture of dreams and memories."
Eda carelessly dropped her. "So what you're saying is, you've got nothing to say that can help us. Great, so you're worthless."
Dipper glared at her, then reached down to help Marcy up. "Come on, Eda, you don't have to be so rude."
Eda returned his glare with one of her own. "Oh, I'm sorry, it's just that my son was taken over by the most powerful being I've ever encountered, who seems hellbent on literally turning the entire multiverse inside-out. So forgive me if my manners aren't the best right now!"
Luz placed a hand on her shoulder. "Eda, he's not saying you don't have the right to be upset. Trust us, we're all upset. But taking it out on Marcy isn't going to help."
A deep sigh escaped the Owl Lady and she pinched the bridge of her nose. "You're right, you're right. I'm sorry. It's just… I'm worried about King."
Marcy struggled to find her balance. "Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but, um, do you guys think you could fill me in a bit on what's going on." She glanced at the witches of the group. "And I hope you don't mind me asking, but why do some of you have pointy ears? You said you had magic. Are you, like, some species of elf?"
"Actually, they're witches," Dipper commented.
Mabel frowned. "Yeah, I've been meaning to ask about that. Some of you are boys. Aren't boy witches called warlocks or wizards or something?"
"Actually," Dipper said, turning to her, "in olden days, the term 'witch' applied to anyone who practiced magic, regardless if they were male or female."
"We do have wizards on the Boiling Isles though," Gus stated, "but they're a little different than witches."
Luz groaned and muttered under her breath, "Yeah, creepy, bearded, old men with glitter in their pockets."
Marcy was looking completely baffled. "Ok, I'm sorry, but can someone clue me in on everything, because I'm completely lost."
A frustrated sigh escaped Sasha, and she quickly began giving Marcy an abridged version of what was going on. As Marcy's eyes grew larger and larger as she listened, Anne was deep in thought. An idea was forming in her head. A crazy, reckless idea, one she didn't like at all, but if it worked, it might help them to defeat Bill.
"So he made the deal and Bill went out of you and into King," Sasha wrapped up. "But then Bill used a loophole to go back on his end of the deal and is now out there causing chaos. There, you're all caught up."
Marcy blinked a few times, looking stunned. "Ok, wow, that's a lot more than I expected." She rubbed her chin in thought. "This is way worse than the Newtopian invasion. If Bill is really that powerful, then I'm not sure how we can stop him."
If Marcy couldn't think of a solution, then Anne didn't think anyone could. This is what allowed her to come to her decision, and she let out a sigh of resignation. "I think I know how."
The others turned to her. "Uh, what?" Luz asked.
Anne turned to them, looking determine. "I think I have a way to stop Bill."
"Really? How?" Dipper practically demanded. "Did you think of a weakness he might have or something?"
She just shook her head. "It's too complicated to explain right now, but trust me when I say that it may be the only way to beat him."
Sasha nodded. "Ok, we trust you, Anne. What do we have to do?"
Anne turned to look out the small opening again. "Like I said, it's too complicated to explain right now. But first, I need to get back out there. Willow, can you remove the vines?"
Dipper held up his hands and shook them. "Wait, you're going to go back out there? Alone?"
"Just trust me," Anne insisted. "I got this."
Willow stared at her for a few moments before glancing at the others uncertainly. At Sasha's nod though, she drew a magic circle in the air, and the vines retracted enough to provide a big enough space for Anne to slip through them.
"You got this, Anne," Marcy told her. "We believe in you."
Anne gave her an appreciative smile before taking a deep breath and slipping through the opening, leaving the sanctuary of the trees. She took a few moments to compose herself as she looked up at Bill determinedly, then she charged towards him.
The interdimensional being seemed completely oblivious to her as he hovered over Gravity Falls, casually warping the town with flicks of his finger. "Let's see, and a literal mountain of ice cream over there, and a volcano that spews liquid nitrogen over there, and I'm thinking a giant, mobile toilet that opens up into a black hole when it flushes right here. Oh, and a field of man-eating hands would look nice over there. Yeah, I think this town is really starting to come together now."
He then took a moment to survey the chaos he unleashed upon the town. "Oh, man, I wish my buddies could see this. I think it holds even more promise than the last Weirdmageddon. I really need to find a way to open a dimensional rift and bring my friends here; it's always more fun to party with others. It should be easier to open one on this side." He looked up at the sky, reaching a hand upward. "But first I think I'll dispose of this pesky barrier and send Weirdmageddon worldwide."
"Hey, Bill Psycho!"
The interdimensional being blinked and turned to see Anne standing by herself. He appeared to be amused at the sight of her though and simply crossed his arms as he floated over to her.
"I have to admit, Blue Gem," he told her, "that was some clever wordplay use with my name, but I can't exactly call it a smart move for you to insult an all-powerful being like me."
With a smug scowl, Anne pointed at him. "All-powerful nothing. I'm onto you, Bill, and I don't think you're as powerful as you claim."
Several moments passed where Bill stared at her blankly as the chaotic environment he had turned Gravity Falls into continued to spiral out of control around him. "Huh?"
"That's right," said Anne confidentially. "I think you're bluffing. I think your deal with King still stands. You're just pretending you can go back on it to make us think you're unstoppable."
Bill closed and rubbed his eye. "What are you…? Are you blind or something?" He held out his hands. "Do you not see what I've done to Gravity Falls? Did you forget that I tried to have you killed? And you still think I'm bound to that silly deal?"
Anne smirked. "Yeah, I do. The real reason King made his deal with you was to spare us, so you can't hurt us. That's why you've been indirectly trying to get rid of us, like using that giant bird. That's the real loophole. You can't actually kill us yourself."
Bill crossed his arms and narrowed his eye at her. "Oh, is that what you think?"
"Yeah, that's what I think."
Bill was clearly growing annoyed with the way she was challenging him. "Listen up, Boonchuy, I could blast you into space dust in an instant if I wanted to. I just thought it'd be more amusing to see how long you and your little friends could survive Weirdmageddon and witness the end of reality as you know it."
Now Anne was the one to cross her arms. "You say that, but I'm calling your bluff. If you could kill us, then you would have done so already. That whole," she held up her fingers to symbolize quotation marks, "'have us experience Weirdmageddon' thing is just an excuse."
The others stared in disbelief as Anne continued to challenge Bill's power. "Is this the plan she had?" Dipper asked, unable to believe what he was seeing.
"It was a mistake trusting her," Sasha said in a deep voice.
As they looked on, Anne continued to berate Bill. "And you know what else, even if you could go back on your deal, I still believe that King is in there somewhere, and he won't let you hurt us. Admit it, Cipher, you're nothing but a bunch of talk."
"Your little Titan friend is gone," Bill declared angrily. "And unless you want to see just how wrong you are, you better high-tail it out of here, because I'm about five seconds away from blasting you to bits."
Anne held out her arms. "Then go ahead and try it, you oversized Dorito, because I still say you're bluffing. Just know that when you try and prove that you can't actually hurt us that we're coming at you with everything we've got!"
"Fine, just remember that you asked for this." He pointed at her. "Here's your death wish. Ba-boom!"
A massive burst of power erupted from the end of his finger. Anne's eyes widened as the beam came at her, and she suddenly didn't feel so good about her plan.
"Oh, cruuuuud…" she mumbled and shut her eyes.
The beam struck her and the others cried out Anne's name as she was completely consumed by it. The beam continued onward, blasting its way through everything in its path. And when it finally died down, a massive groove in the ground was left where the beam had been fired.
Bringing his smoking finger up to his eye, Bill blew on it with his eyelid as if it were a smoking gun and his eyelid were a pair of lips. "So much for her theory, and so much for her."
He snapped his fingers, and like something out of a cartoon, the woods quite literally spit the others into the air, and they came in for a landing right in front of Bill, the ground acting like a trampoline, bouncing them up and down until they were resting on the ground.
Bill turned to them with a hooded eye. "So, anyone else think I'm bluffing?"
"What did you do?" Sasha demanded in horror. "What did you do!?"
Bill made a pfft sound. "Just got rid of a party-pooper. You're welcome to join her if you want."
"You killed her," Luz said in a whisper. Tears filled her eyes and she looked up at the interdimensional being furiously. "You killed her!"
Bill gasped, feigning surprise. "Oh no, you're saying you humans can't survive having your atoms blasted apart? Why didn't anyone ever tell me?" He snapped his fingers. "Darn, if only I'd known. I guess that makes two friends you've lost now."
"You monster!" Marcy shouted, and made to run at the interdimensional being, but the others grabbed her to hold her back. "You monster!"
"Oh, Marcy, you're awake. Good." He held out his arms. "What do you think? Like what I've done with the place? You know, I should thank you. Technically, it's because of you that all this happened. Guess that makes it twice now that you've doomed the world, only this time it's going to stick."
"Shut up," Eda seethed and slowly stepped forward. "You know good and well that she's not to blame. This is all because of you. King, Anne, you're going to pay for what you did to them."
"And our palismen," Hunter added with angry tears in his eyes.
"Oh, am I?" Bill asked mockingly. "Why? Because you did such a good job stopping me when I was a mere mind with limited power stuck in Miss Green Gem's head? In that case, I'm sure you'll be able to stop me at my full power." He then gave the Owl Lady a curious look. "You know, maybe you should consider joining me and my friends. They're not here yet, but I make a habit of hanging out with freaky weirdos. You're certainly a unique case with your Owl Beast curse, and I know how much you enjoy total anarchy. You've always lived a chaotic lifestyle, so why not join me? I promise, it'll be a blast."
Eda's eyes flashed with anger and hate. "You think I would ever even consider joining in on this madness, especially after you killed Anne and King?"
Bill just shrugged. "If it makes you feel any better, I didn't kill King. He's still here. He's me; I'm King."
"It doesn't," Eda growled in a low voice.
"Yeah?" Bill asked. He suddenly disappeared, but then popped out of Eda's hair as a much smaller size. "And what are you going to do about it? Thanks to your curse, you can't use magic without your staff or glyphs, and I already took care of one of those. Speaking of which."
He snapped his fingers and suddenly all the glyphs Luz had on her person flew out of her pockets and up into the air before suddenly bursting into flames.
"No!" Luz cried, reaching for the burnt embers. "It took forever to make all those!"
"Oh, waah," Bill mocked. "It took 'forever'. Try waiting a trillion years to get out of my dead dimension. That's forever. And what are you going to do now without your glyphs?"
Luz glared at him. "Well, I could just draw them. Or, I could do this!"
She pulled out a stamp and dropped down, slamming it on the ground. When she lifted it, there was an ice glyph on the ground, and she slapped it with her hand. A spike of ice flew up towards Bill and poked him in his eye before he could react. He let out a cry of pain and covered his eye.
"Ah! Again!?" he cried. "Why does everyone always go for the eye!?"
"That was for King and Anne!" Luz declared.
"Quick, everyone, get him!" Amity called out.
She, Gus, Willow, and Hunter immediately began using whatever means of magic they could use without their palismen. Those that couldn't use magic began throwing sticks and rocks at him. The blasts of magic seemed to be more affective though, and Bill was soon lost in a cloud of smoke.
"This is so stupid!" Dipper exclaimed, even as he continued to throw anything he could get his hands on. "None of this stuff is going to actually hurt him!"
"It's the only thing we can do," Mabel told him. "It shows we won't back down no matter what."
Suddenly, the ground began shaking, and the group began stumbling about. Something emerged from underneath them, something long, black, and cylindrical. They wobbled around on the top as it soon became apparent that it was Bill's top hat they were standing on. Then the interdimensional being emerged from the ground as well, now a giant, and he laughed as he tilted his head side to side, nearly causing those on the top of his hat to fall off.
"Uh oh," he taunted them. "Don't lose your balance. It's a bit of a drop."
He proceeded to tilt his head one way and then the other. All the while, his hat continued to grow longer and longer, bringing the others up higher.
"Better be careful," said Bill. "It can get a little cold and windy so high up."
The surface of the hat in which they stood suddenly froze over in ice. This was immediately accompanied by a rather strong gust of wind. This, along with Bill's tilting, made it impossible to stay on top of his hat.
"Quick, grab onto me!" Eda cried.
She shifted into her harpy form. Dipper, Mabel, and Luz grabbed onto her left side while Sasha, Marcy, and Gus grabbed onto her other side. Hunter, meanwhile, scooped Willow up in his arms, causing her to blush in the process. And as Bill tilted his head again, rather than fall, Eda took flight. Hunter used his magical dashing and short-range teleporting to quickly move from one spot in the air to another, essentially keeping himself and Willow up in the air.
"What is this now!?" Marcy exclaimed in reference to Eda's transformation.
"Harpy Eda!" Gus replied. "Just hold on!"
Realizing that no one was falling to their deaths, Bill scowled. "Hey, get back here."
He reached for them, but they managed to avoid his hand, and he only grabbed at air. This, however, only seemed like a temporary solution, as Eda's face was already turning red from the effort of holding up six people.
"Too… heavy…" she grumbled as beads of sweat began dotting her forehead. "Can't… fly… long…"
Suddenly, an idea struck Dipper. "I think I know a place where we'll be safe, at least for a little while."
Around Eda, Hunter proceeded to teleport here and there. "Well, hurry up and tell us where it is; I can't keep this forever."
Nor could Eda, as she was already gasping for breath. "Can't… stay… up…"
A nervous look crossed Dipper's face, and he motioned with his head since he was holding onto the Owl Lady. "That way. Fly that way."
Eda didn't so much as fly as she did glide, descending more and more with each second. Hunter continued to dash himself and Willow through the air as he followed, and right behind them, the giant Bill swiped at them.
"Fly along, little owl," he taunted as he stomped after them. "Better hope I don't catch you, because when I do, I'm going to turn you into owl soup."
Despite the heavy load she carried, Eda somehow managed to stay just ahead of Bill, maneuvering around his hand when he made a grab for her. But as they glided along, something came into their path. Several somethings actually, and Dipper's eyes widened as he recognized them.
"Uh oh…" Dipper muttered as dozens of multicolored spheres floated towards them.
"Uh oh?" Luz repeated. "What's uh oh? No uh oh. Get rid of the uh oh."
"If you're… talking about… those ball things…" Eda grunted, "there's too many… to avoid…"
"Dipper, what are they?" Sasha asked uneasily.
"Bubbles of madness," he replied uneasily as the giant bubbles in question came at them. "Everyone hold on, things are about to get really freaky."
Eda ended up flying right into the swarm of bubbles, bringing everyone she was carrying with her. Not wanting to lose them, Hunter teleported into them with Willow. They saw right away that Dipper was being completely serious. As they went in and out one bubble after the other, their whole reality seemed to change. Their colors became inverted, they became 3-D CGI, they became claymations, they were gender-swapped, they became robots, they turned into different anthropomorphic animals, they became 8-bit pixelated figures, they became anime characters, they became sock puppets, and, finally, they turned into comic book style individuals, complete with speech bubbles displaying their screams.
Upon leaving this last bubble, each of them stared forward with blank expressions. Hunter completely forgot to teleport, and he and Willow briefly fell from the sky before he regained his senses and resumed teleporting.
"Whoa…" Sasha muttered, sounding horrified. "You weren't kidding. That was beyond freaky."
"Did we become anime characters for a bit there?" Luz asked, sounding dazed.
Gus gave her a look of disbelief. "That's the one that stood out the most to you?"
"Brace yourselves," Mabel cried out, "because we're about to go through some more."
They looked forward and saw that she was right. More bubbles of madness were coming, and they had no choice but to fly into them. Each outcome was just as bizarre as the last. They became classic Disney style cartoon characters, 2-D caricatures drawings, stick figures, Legos, different colored digital wireframes, zombies, human-bug hybrids, stick figures, different humanoid-shaped elements, Picasso style art, gingerbread men and women, they turned inside out, their faces swapped with each other, they became chibi versions of themselves, and became versions of themselves as if they were in the shows Big City Greens, Ducktales, and then Phineas And Ferb.
They returned to normal upon exiting the last bubble, looking just as traumatized as last time. Upon getting over the experience, Amity glanced up at Eda. "Can we please avoid any more of those."
The Owl Lady was huffing and puffing at this point as she struggled to hold on to everyone. "Doing… my best…"
Bill suddenly came bursting from out of the swarm of bubbles they had just flown through. "And just look how that's turned out so far. Come here."
He reached out again, his hand just missing closing over Eda. Mabel looked back at the interdimensional being nervously, then at her brother. "Dipper, where are we going?"
He looked around anxiously. "It should be around here somewhere… There! Right there!"
He kicked outward, using his foot to point to where he was indicating. To the others, he was gesturing to a clearing with a big hole in the ground.
"The bottomless pit?" Mabel asked in confusion.
"How is that going to help?" Sasha demanded in frustration.
"Just trust me!" Dipper insisted. "Eda, to the pit!"
The Owl Lady was straining too much to reply, but directed her glide over to the pit, Hunter right behind her and Bill right behind him. Eda just barely managed to remain in the air long enough to get over the pit before she let herself drop, and Hunter ceased his dashing as well. Bill raised his open palm and brought it down, but at the last possible moment, the others disappeared into the pit and his hand slammed down over it.
"Rats," he grumbled, but got over it quickly and shrugged it off. "Oh well, I know which pit this is." He looked down the pit, seeing only darkness. "I also know that you'll be back soon enough. And when you are, I'll be waiting."
(A/N: And another chapter where a lot of things happened. Marcy is awake and has now officially joined the group, but it looks like we've lost Anne. Guess she was wrong in thinking Bill was bluffing. I know it may seem like the others aren't that torn up over losing both her and King, but that's really because they don't have any time to grieve. They're in survival mode right now and the grief and reality of their loses hasn't truly hit them yet. Or, rather, they can't let it, otherwise they'll never make it. Right ow they're on the run, and they've experienced just a taste of what Weirdmageddon has to offer. I must admit, I did have fun with the bubbles of madness altering everyone reality, those were fun to think up. And thanks to some quick thinking from Dipper, they've managed to take refuge in the bottomless pit, which, if you remember, or if you didn't watch the show, is actually wormhole of some kind that will have them fall for about a half hour before spitting them back out. And while no time passes in the real world while they're falling, it will give them some time to come up with a solution. At least that's Dipper's plan. You'll just have to wait until next time to see how that goes. Oh, and by the way, props to anyone who recognized that the names Eda introduced Dipper and Mabel to Marcy as were going to originally be their names until that was changed.)
